cfgrid display strips leading 0

I have a table with a column that is defined as varchar(30)
(MS SQL Server 2005). Probably 99% of the values in the column are
numeric, but the value can also include an alpha character. Most of
the values are three numeric characters , such as 003, 058, or 792.
However, the value can be any number of characters (e.g., 0000885
or CRO549),
The values are correctly stored in the database tables with
the leading 0's intact. When I make my query and display the
results in a <cfgrid> form, if the value in the table has
characters that are all numeric, the leading 0's are stripped. Is
there a way to make the display to not delete the leading 0's?
If the value in the table has at least one alpha character in
it, the leading 0'sare not stripped when displayed.

Hi Dusan,
"Alpha conversion" is already implemented on the domain (SAKNR) itself. You can modify the system (take out conversion exit "ALPHA") from domain SAKNR but I'm guessing this might create inconsistencies in many other dictionary objects.
I think it's better to consider alternavtives - like using character + number as GL account (e.g. A345999)..

How can I export TB address book without stripping leading zero ?

When I export a Thunderbird address book to a CSV file some leading zeros are stripped by MS excel 2007.
Please advise.
The aim is to export to a csv file, edit the data in the spreadsheet, and then re-import the revised csv file into
TB.

Try this:
Open MS Excel 2007
click on 'Data' tab
click on 'Get External Data' and choose 'From Text'
Import Text file window opens
select the saved .csv file and click on 'import'
Text Import wizard step 1 of 3 opens
select 'delimited'
these should be auto selected
start import at row 1
file origin: windows (ANSI)
click on 'Next'
step 2 of 3
select 'Tab'
select 'comma'
this should make the data preview shiow as columns with correct column name.
Click on 'Next'
step 3 of 3
From 'Data Preview Area' select all
the columns which you would want to be displayed as text. Once selected the background will be black and the text will be white.
This allows you to select columns and set the type of data format
Suggest you highlight/select the eg: Work Phone and Home Phone columns.
Then on the same window from the group 'Column Data format' :
select Text
Click on Finish.

In Fact Sheet, Open Leads View is displaying all Leads

Hi Gurus,
I have configured Account Fact Sheet(BP_Account_FS).
I have added view "Open Leads", which should "display the last n leads that have status "open" or "in process".
But In my case "Open Leads" is displaying all the Leads, which have status "Converted" & "Rejected" also.
Anyone has come across with this. What are your suggestions?

Display of leading zeroes when downloaded from ALV to excel

Hi All,
I have a problem in ALV grid display.
There is a specific field which has value starting from '001' to '999'. This is a char(3) type of variable.
The problem is that the display shows the value as '001' which is correct. but when the same file is dwnloaded to excel using standard SAP functionality, the value of the field gets changed to '1' instead of '001'.
Is there any option by which this can be controlled. Please let me know, its urgent!!

the Excel download is done by Z program? IF yes you have to do:
SET PROPERTY OF go_cell 'NumberFormat' = '@'.
this will set the Excel cell to Text type and leading zeros won't be lost.

Cfgrid display in Safari Browser

My cfform displays and shows data in IE and Firefox but not
Safari. I can see the cfgrid and form but no data shows in the
grid. Any ideas?

I have been fiddeling around and found it must have somthing
to do with the javascript source not been interpretered correctly
by the browser for some reason.
Using the below and changing the path to something bogus I
was able to make firefox do the samething as ie. I haven't been
able to successfully getting it to work in ie, I have even tried
the complete i.e. d:\www\CFIDE\scripts with no luck.
Maybe somone can cast som light on this, maybe it's some kind
of browser security issue??

The 17" Apple Studio Display probably has an "ADC" connector on it. So, you will need two adapters to connect your MacBook to this kind of display.

I was able to reproduce what you are seeing.
When selecting to join now 1-888-555-5555p#123456# was dialed.

IPod touch 5th generation displaying stripes. How to fix?

Recently, my iPod touch started displaying vertical stripes with inverted colors across the screen. I have iOS 7.0.4 installed.The top of the screen also flickers, but tapping it makes it stop for a few seconds. I have tried reseting it, but it did not solve the problem. I have also tried letting the battery die, but this also did not fix the screen. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software problem. Please help! Thanks in advance!

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

E71 does not strip leading 0 from numbers in conta...

Hi
Having synced contacts from Outlook, I find that the E71 doesn't know what to do with leading zeros in the numbers when the country code is present.
If my contact has either of these formats:
+44 (0) 1234 567890
+44 (01234) 567809
then the number is dialled as:
+4401234567890
which doesn't work. It should of course be:
+441234567890
This is rather annoying.
How do I fix it??

T530 multiple display configuration lead to errors when closing the laptop

Hello,
I have a Lenovo T530 2429CTT and I am having some trouble when trying to set up my multiple display configuration with a Lenovo ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3.
I have an external Samsung LCD monitor which is connected to the Mini Dock via DisplayPort.
I am running Win 7 Prof.
The problem I see is with an application which uses DirectX. The display looks fine in the following configuration:
- Laptop open
- External Samsung LCD Monitor on
- Display cloned so that both devices show my desktop
The issues appear when I close the laptop. I do this because in my office I only work with the external monitor so I don't need the internal display of the laptop at that moment.
When I close the laptop the following happens:
The external display gets dark for some seconds. It comes up again, gets dark and after a while (maybe 10 sec) it stays active. Sometimes I see a notification that the color scheme has changed to Win 7 basic.
Everything seems to be fine now but when looking at the DirectX based display of my application I have some problems for example with the refresh (the display looks very weird).
BTW: The laptop has an internal and an external graphic card (Internal: Intel HD 4000, External: NVIDIA NVS 5400M).
So it seems as when the laptop gets closed, the internal graphics will be turned off. Due to this the display on the external monitor also changes the settings of the graphhic card (maybe it gets turned in an energy saver state).
I was looking at many of the NVIDIA settings without any success so hopefully somebody in this forum has an idea what is happening there.

and my propose is to have 2 Monitors connected, so I'll follow this inquire very closely and hold my order until then.
do you have any update on it?
just by curiosity, what about the rest? how does the PC feels to you? everything else is working?

2310m monitor starts OK, then displays stripes

I bought the 2310m monitor and an extended, 2-year warranty, with a Pavilion p6680t desktop in December 2010. It worked well until a month ago. Now, the 2310m monitor has an intermittent problem. Please see the picture. It will start growing these vertical, blue and purple colored, stripes at the bottom of the screen. Within 15 seconds, they crawl up to the top of the screen, obscuring everything.
I tried a new HDMI cable, but I got the same behavior.
Any ideas?

You should determine if the monitor is faulty or if there is a chance that your PC's video card or the monitor cable is at fault. The best way to achieve this is to connect this monior to another PC and see if it exhibits the same fault. If it does, your options are:
Call HP support in your local country to find out your options, i.e. repair, and/or
Think about shopping around for a replacments monitor

How to strip out leading numbers in auto-generated bookmarks?

For years now my team has used an Acrobat plug-in called Compose, which lets us strip out the leading numbers from bookmarks in PDFs generated from FrameMaker 7.2. (The tool works after the fact, so that all bookmark creation occurs after the PDF is created.)
For example, these document headings:
1.1 Intro to Happy Fun Ball
1.1.1. System Requirements
1.1.2. Cautionary Information (WARNING)
are translated to the bookmarks:
Intro to Happy Fun Ball
System Requirements
Cautionary Information (WARNING)
After evaluating the new Adobe Tech Comm Suite, it seems that Acrobat 9 Extended Pro isn't compatible with the Compose plug-in (or at least, the version we've been using for years).
Does anyone know if there's a method -- built into either FrameMaker 8 or Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, or in an SDK -- that allows you to auto-generate bookmarks but strip out leading numbers? It seems this is a no-brainer of a feature, yet I can't find it listed anywhere in the Acrobat documentation.
Other names for this feature might be "wild card" or "text masking," not to mention "strip leading numbers."

The following code can be run from the JavaScript console, but since you're new to this, it might be easier to create a button, paste the code shown below into the Mouse Up event of the button, select the Hand tool and click the button to execute the code, and then delete the button if everything is OK.
If you need to do this a lot, you should consider setting up a custom menu item or toolbar button that executes this code:

The code uses what's called a regular expression, which in this case is fairly simple: /^\S+\s+/
This regular expression means to search the bookmark name for the beginning of the string (^), followed by one or more non-whitespace characters (\S+), followed by one or more white space characters (\s+), and replace all that with an empty string (""), thus removing it. This should work with the bookmark name prefixes you describe.
The function is called recursively, which is an efficient way to handle the hierarchical structure that the bookmark tree can have.

   i suggested that add two button - "Display ALL" & "Display Selected" .
   How can i only display the lead selection only in the ALV? or Hide un-selected records.
