Cfmail not sending to external address

Hello,
I have a new web server that I am testing before turning it on live. I have run into a cfmail issue. The server is
Windows 2008 R2, 64Gig ram, 64-bit, IIS 7.5, Coldfusion 9.0.2 multi server, clustering 2 CF instances, JDK1.7.0_71
We had a company setup CF and harden so this may be related to the hardening but I am not sure.
<cfmail is not sending email to recipients outside of our domain/work domain. The 1st <cfmail> tag below sends the email but the 2nd one does not. This is what I see when trying to send via the 2nd <cfmail> tag with external recipient email address domain
- no errors on the page I run in the browser
- email is not received at [email protected] (syntax is correct)
- attempt #2 shows up in mail/Undelivr folder
- mail.log has this error
"Error","scheduler-3","01/15/15","10:13:27",,"javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses;   nested exception is: com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPAddressFailedException: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay
- application.log - no error
- exception.log has same error in addition to stack trace
- server.log no error

CFMAIL is just a wrapper for the underlying Java mail API methods, so there should not be any problem with it.
Seems like SMTP server is not registered to send mails out. So this is purly the problem with the SMTP server, not with the CFMAIL

Where is the feature "Send using External Address" gone?

Did someone found the MobileMe feature "Send using External Address" in iCloud?

No, currently there is none. There is only the option to configure iCloud Aliases in the webinterface but no more external adresses and mail servers. So currently no possibility to use the Webmail interface with an external address.
In Lion Mail Programm it is easy to add the external email adress and use an alternative server for sending. On iOS devices you can also configure a IMAP account with the iCloud server as incoming server and your external address/server for sending.
Hope this will be added in the next weeks for the webmail interface. It was already there in MobileMe. No idea why they didn't port that feature to iCloud.

Have a new iPad with ios6. Will not send emails. Addresses are valid but get notice each time that recipient was rejected by the server. No help on web site, and Apple's only manual is for previous os version. We miss Steve Jobs.

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

Hi. We are using now two systems of Exchange. 2010 SP3 on-premises as part of SBS 2011 and Exchange Online. Two yaers 2010 works good. But 2-3 month ago one user began to receive error when he send email from 2010 to Exchange Online:

a local user. When error comes description is about wrong X500 for local user. Why my Exchange 2010 SP3 doesn't send email to external domain, but looking in local database? Of course this address absent in database, because it is

Can be this is due to the fact that the user stores more than 30,000 messages in one folder and OAB always crushed?
This problem has only one user, and only while he write to Exchange Online domain.

Please try to use owa to send a message to exchange online user to check the result.
Because there are many messages, I recommend you set retention policy, and then apply it to the user's mailbox.

HT202360 Why does email forwarding not work with external addresses?

I have tried to setup an internal email account which is meant to forward emails to an external account.
Under the account's mail options i have set "Mail should be: " to Forwarded and typed in the email address underneath. However, both with an external domain and the me.com domain it does not send the email. If i send an email directly from the accounts using my IMAP account the server has no problems sending the emails to the addresses.
The results of running sudo serveradmin command mail:command = getAutoForward is:

Is there sometime i'm missing?

I have also tried adding a new email account with the [email protected] to see if it was the original account that was the problem, but the new email account doesn't send the emails on either.

AP 1252 in autonomous mode not sending framed-ip-address

I was attempting to use the Websense RADIUS Agent to transparently map wireless users in it's database. This is done by passing the RADIUS accounting packets through the websense server where Websense can read them and map the username and password. This works for our Cisco VPN clients and Anyconnect clients. The problem I have is that the 1252 AP does not send the framed-ip-address in the RADIUS accounting packet. The AP should know the client IP since it can be seen with "show dot11 association".
For whatever reason, the AP doesn't know the IP address. This is verified by enabling aaa acounting delay-start which delays the sending accounting packets until the peer IP is known. With this command in, no accounting packets are ever sent from the AP.
Does anyone know why the AP doesn't include the framed-ip-address in the accounting packets? Or, why the AP is not able to learn the peer IP address from the client association information?

For a session to be disconnected, the values in one or more of the key fields in the POD request must match the values for a session on one of the network access server ports. Which values must match depends on the auth-type attribute defined in the command. If noauth-type is specified, all four values must match. If no match is found, all connections remain intact and an error response is returned. The key fields are as follows:

Can not SEND to external emails

Customer I support is having Blackberry device issue:
I use the Desktop Manager to sync my BB emails. This morning, after our server with BES on it was rebooted (and, my computer was still on at the time), i discovered that I could no longer send emails outside the office. I can send internally and also can receive emails both internally and from outside addresses. My BB phone service works. No other BB user in the office suffering this problem. What can I do?

I don't think I've messed other blocklimits than those in my post.
I know that service.http.maxmessagesize and service.http.maxpostsize are for webmail only.
I can send big mails but I can not RECEIVE big mails. That's the problem.
In my previous post I've pasted the error messages.

CFMail not sending

I have a form that has two pages: the form itself, and an
action page. The form consists of text boxes, radio buttons, and a
place to attach a document. On the action page I have used cffile
to save the file to the server, which it does correctly, and then a
cfmail tag to send the e-mail with the file attached-- this is
where I'm lost! The file saves to the right place, but the e-mail
is never generated and I don't get any kind of error message to
point me in the right direction. I think it might have something to
do with some kind of missing <param> code, but I'm not too
familiar with that. Please help!

SAP Inbox - Sending to external address

HI,
I'm sending a message from SAP Inbox via SBWP to a user ID. In SOST the status of the message stays RED indicating it did not go through. I have two users who are not receiving and one that is receiving. The one that is receiving in SOST has status of green indicating that the message went through. All three users have the same attributes in the email address field in SU01.
Any ideas why this is happening? Since there are no difference in the setup of all three users why is one receiving and the other not receiving?
Below is the error Iu2019m getting for the two user IDs not receiving.

In case the issue is that there is an missing or wrong entry in the address management tables (table ADR6), as Ganesh pointed out, it is possible to trigger a recipient change in SOST by setting the parameter SOST_REC_CHANGE to 'X' in table SXPARAMS as described in note 685164.
Find the general parameters (table SXPARAMS) in transaction SOST -> Utilities -> General Parameters.
Afterwards you will get a popup where you can decide to change the recipient before you resend a document from SOST. Here you decide to change the recipient before sending and enter the same e-mail address before. Now the address should be properly created.

Email will not send to email address with a full stop within the name as it drops the last name ie jim.smith@.... changes to jim@....

I am trying to reply or send a email to a email address that has a full stop in the username ie [email protected] When the email sends it drops the surname ie [email protected] I have checked the address from the reply and it is correct even if I type it in it still has the same issue. Does anybody have an idea of what I can do. Thanks

WRT54G Problem- SSID not showing in list & router not sending correct IP address

Everthing was humming along. Comcast Internet = fine. WRT54G router, several XP Pro/SP 3 computers, 1 Powerbook + wireless printers. etc = fine. PCs find network SSID and auto-connect without fail.
Then, Comcast Internet down. Reboot everything. Network back up. Computers then get wrong IP Address or do not see SSID. (No config changes on computers.)
So I:
1. Reinstall WRT54G firmware (v8) - no change.
2. Install new fresh WRT54G - using CD to install - no change
3. Update firmware in router used in #2 - no change
4. Complete reset cycle and reinstall -no change.
5. Repeat same reset with original router -no change
6. Using static IP address/default gate way/DNS address - PC finds and connects to SSID but does not access Internet.
Result - no computers find SSID. (SSID is hidden.) Don't find it when it's not hidden either.
Ethernet cabled PC works just fine. Gets correct IP Address & Internet access is fine.
Cable modem = Motorola Surf Board. No physical locations of any omponent has changed.
Is it possible that both WRT54G's are not working?
Is it somehow a Comcast problem?
Should I try some other router settings?

Thanks. These are great instructions and quite useful for setup. Unfortunately, my problems seemed much more complex.
In the end, I redidi all the networking from scratch from the router through all the connected devices. Finally got things back up. I don't know how, but the Comcast failure seemed to corrupt lots of the settings even if they all looked OK.

Back up assistant will not send 2 email addresses to phone

I have loaded all my contacts in to a csv file and imported it in to back-up assistant. Everything looks good when I look at it online. When I sync with my phone (HTC Rhyme) any contacts that have 2 e-mail addresses only show one addy! The csv file format was exported from BU so I know it is valid. There is an email 2 field which goes in to the Personal e-mail online but only the Business email shows up on the phone - wierd?? Anyone??

I would suggest taking that CSV and importing it into the Gmail account you use with this phone. You can verify all the information was transferred when you view your contacts through the Gmail website. This will sync with the phone without changes. Then remove the contacts from BUA and clear the data for Backup Assistant on the phone to remove any duplicates on there. In the end, you should only have contacts saved under the Gmail account.

Sending PM objects (work orders,notifications) to external address

Hello,
I have a question about sending PM object to external address type of recepient.
When I select 'send object with note' and pick external address, I only get attached .txt file to be sent (with order number), not the actual order..Whereas the client is going to have virtually all services done by external vendors, who wouldn't have access to the system.. They aren't planning using Enterprise Portal
Could anybody suggest how to accomplish that?
Also, second portion of the question..
Help says that the attachment of the object are not sent with it, ie. the recepient can only access them in attachment list in the object display.
I was just wondering is there any enhancement that we can bypass it and enable it in email along with attached order

Actually, I couldnu2019t find that note..
But I guess maybe I wasnu2019t clear enough, let me rephrase my question.
So, they have a PM order PDF smart form and it doesnu2019t look a problem to mail that. Whereas,mailing the question is whether thereu2019s a way to send also attachments within that order which doesnu2019t look like being available by standard SAP. Again, I am not talking about attachments from whatever hard drive, which you can attach when sending via u2018send object with noteu2019), but enclosing whatever supportive docs with order.
So, any ideas how to enable it?

HELP!!!! Mail not sending nor receiving...Security Update broke it?

So i had a perfectly working set-up for mail and calendar on Mac OS X 10.6.3, but this weekend it stopped working. Mail is not getting in nor out of my system. I can not even send mail to myself. When I look into the logs i see the following errors..

Ok I have fixed the ability to send. The console said that root wasn't owner of "amavisd.conf" .. i used the sudo chown.. and now I can send to external addresses & internal addresses and receive internal to my network. Mail is still not coming in from EXTERNAL addresses. help?
