Change COMM_TYPE in WebUI

Hello,
In the WebUI there is an assignment block "Phone/Fax/Mobile Numbers" under Addresses and we would like to change the "Type" picklist in there (e.g. delete the option "pager", since we won't be using pagers).
Where can I find the table or customizing object to change the content of this picklist. I know I need COMM_TYPE, but where can I adjust it?
Furthermore how is it possible that there are more COMM_TYPES available via transaction BP in the GUI than in the WebUI?

Hi Sander,
There is no config step which is directly linked to what you are seeing on the UI. This has been predefined in the Address Assignment block.
If in case you want to restrcit the display of "Comm Types" then you can open the Component "BP_ADDR", view=AccountCommEF".
There r 3 context node class underneath it. Pick the Context node named "BUILADDRESS".
You will have to write a getter and setter method for the attribute "STRUCT.COMM_TYPE" to restrict it to only 2 values instead of 3/

If you are using SNC versions upto 7.0, please follow the below procedure
Transaction SE80 -> Enter package "/SCF/UIBSP"
Expand the package
Expand folder "BSP Library"
Expand folder "BSP Applications"
Expand folder "/scf/uibsp"
Expand folder "MIMEs"
Expand folder "sap-tradeshow"
Expand folder "PRTL"
Expand folder "IMAGES"
Expand folder "HEADER"
Right-click on customer_brand_image.jpg or
Customer_logo.gif and use context menu to
Create backup of original graphic files (optional)
Context menue: "Export/Import" -> "Export as Copy"
Save copy in file system
Delete original graphic files
Context menue: "Delete"
Ignore warning message
Import new graphic files
Right-click on folder where images were located
Choose "Import MIME Objects"
Select new customer_brand_image.jpg or
customer_logo.gif in file system
Save
Remember It is not recommended to use images with larger file size than the original files as this will increase network traffic.

Since this is custom developement, SAP will not support for any maintenance

Authorization to change/create orders

hi friends,
is there a way to restrict a user in creating/changing order in webui?
i found UIU_COMP , which takes component, ip plug, and window, but does this help me?
i want to restrict users in creating/editing orders, ie the components are BT115H_SLSO and BT115IT_SLSO

Hi Niraja,
As you have mentioned that you dont want the end user to edit the BT115H_SLSO and BT115IT_SLSO components.
:- Now for this too happen you can definetly use the UIU_COMP authorization object but you need to take care of each and every other component that the user is allowed to and then maintain them in the UIU_COMP auth object( this would be a ery tough job as hundreds of UI compnent are involved).
So the solutions provided by other consultants is very handy in this type of authorization scenarion, you can simply use the auth object CRM_ORD_OE and maitain the value for transaction type and in the activity just maintain 03 (search) and not 01 , 02( which is for create and change) so that the user can search the transaction but he cannot edit it.

Here i want to know that While creating or changing quatation through WEBUI,needs to find out waht program/FM triggered from ERP side.
I have information from the CRM system is Class CL_CRM_INTLAY_LORD2_ERPIL.
Is there anyway to dubug ERP system while craeting Quatation from WEBUI?

How to set mandatory category with Oracle Drive?

Hi,
is there a way to fill a mandatory category when a file is stored via Oracle Drive?
I have tested this in OCS 10.1.2.0 and it works only with the web frontend but not in Oracle Drive. If i save a file in a directory which has categories assigned then i get an error that metadata are required but i got no chance to set them anywhere.

we have the same problem in our system. We become an answer from Oracle that in the next ODrivepatch (end of Q2) this will be fixed. At the moment you can only use a none mandatory category to copy files over ODrive in the system and then change to the WebUI and fill out the category that you need.

ACL Bug?

We have following problem:
since a few days we are not able to set the AccessLevels for ACLs.
For example:
I create a Folder: /testfolder
My standard-ACL is Published.
Now I want to change that ACL to public.
Everywhere I look, the ACL seems to be changed to public (WebUI, IfsManager, etc...)
But I am not able to put anything in that folder with another user.
Another example:
I create my own ACL with one User (me).
I apply that ACL to an folder called /testfolder.
Of course nobody than me can see that folder.
Now I edit the ACL and add another user to that ACL. Everything seems okay. I can see the added User in the IfsManager. But this user is still not able to see that folder.
I am sure that I4m doing everything right, because it had worked a few days ago.
I have another system, where IFS is running. There the same procedure works fine.
Where is the problem? Do I have to much ACLs? About 100. I think this is a very nasty bug in IFS.
I need a quick answer, because we are going to sell our system to another customer.

Change of Status is not working in WebUI

Hello All,
Iam facing a problem in changing the status of the item in web UI requirement as follows.
We need to set the item status from the To be Closed to Close.The status To be closed is set by an contract processor and schedules the Action .i.e Close item Once the contract approver execuets the action.It need to be change to Closed and the item end date need to be set to the date when the Action is execueted
I have done my coding in the Execute method for the action Close item by using the FM CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
to change the item enddate and CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN to change the Status to Closed and the Commit Work .My code is working fine in GUI but this is not working in WebUI . I can only see it when i execute the action go to the edit mode.
Can any one help me out in this regards.

we're having the same issue that an opportunity is updated in the normal Gui but not in the WebUI when using FM CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.
What coding did you use for fixing this?

SAP CRM 7.0 WebUI: change history is not working

Hi specialists
Our change history is working - but only in SAPGUI.
I found no way to activate / customize it for the WebUI. The corresponding Assignment Block is simply blank.
On the other hand - in the SAPGUI its working like it is mentioned to do.
But it is getting better:
On our test system its working even in the WebUI.
On our prod. system not.
Does somebody of you have any advices/hints for me?

We are facing same problem for change history on webIC except that all changes to
business partner are visible only changes to contract account are not coming in change history.
for e.g if we changed incoming payment method using tcode CAA2 on ISU change is replicating
on CRM but change history is not showing changes made to incoming payment method.

Change UI configuration dynamically when ever user selects a new value in a drop down field in WebUI

I enhanced the standard activity component (i.e BT126S_APPT ). In this component, in BT126S_APPT/ApptSQ view there is a field 'PROCESS_TYPE' which is a dropdown. I have created a server event for this dropdown. So that whenever user selects a value in that dropdown, a event is called and after that DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION is called. In DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION, I am checking the value of 'PROCESS_TYPE' and based on that i am setting different config keys, by calling SET_CONFIG_KEYS( ). But the configuration is not changing in WebUI. When I press F2 in WebUI its showing the config keys( searched for ) as I set, but the found config keys are same as before. I have created the configuration with the new configuration keys. Please help, I am new to crm.

The easier option would be to convert the DropDownByKey to DropDownByIndex. If you still want to proceed with DropDownByKey then you need to initialise the ALV data again. do the following
1. after changing the attribute-value_set, call the ALV interface controller method SET_DATA and pass the instance of the context node.
2. reintiliase all the ALV settings like edit mode, converting the column editor to DropDownByKey etc....
This will ensure the new attribute value set is reflected in the ALV component.

This file sitting on ifs1.1/settings/oracle/ifs/clients/webui/properties . This file suppouse to configure what to display on webui clients , but after changes in this file restaring iFS and Apache server nothing changes on display ???

If so, then you can refer to the following code and reuse it as per your requirement.
Firstly, in your context node's, respective attribute, generate the getter setter methods and add the following pieces of code in get_p and get_v method.

Whatever, data is written in quotation marks u2018 u2019 is what we want in the drop down fields to display so that the user can choose from one of them.

You need to add that attribute using the config tool for your view configuration. Select the attribute All Day from the context node BTDATE in the available fields to your display field and then save it. It should now be visible in your UI and now you can select or uncheck it to make the time field enable. Check the below image

Change Message Reporter in SolMan 7.1 Incident Management CRM WebUI

Hi,
i want to create a new Incident via the CRM WebUI (Role: Solmanpro). When I want to choose the message reporter i do not recieve all business partners via the search dialog. Only BP without the role employee are listed.
The search dialogue also says that you can only search for contacts and not for business partners. If a customer is entered in the field customer the search dialogue is prefilled with the bp numer of that customer.
How can I deactivate this function so that i can choose every BP as message reporter via the search dialogue?
