Change master repo and work repo connection password

Hi,
My ORACLE DB password expired and i changed it. But now my ODI is not working.
The oracle user - system and odi connection - system and pwd are same while creating the work and master repo.
How can i change the master and work repo password? My situation is in ODI screen connect to repo > it throws error of password failure.
Please help.

For the sake of repeating myself again update the password ODI uses to connect to the repository in the connection profile of the ODI Studio login with the new password you created via SQL PLUS. To make it even easier take a look at the following:
When you initially try to connect to the repository you get this screen
Click the Pencil icon (Edit) to bring up the connection profile details screen
In the section for Database Connection (Master Repository) change the password to your new repository password.
If the work repository password has also been changed at this point you will have to select the Master Repository Only option and then Test the connection which should now work.
Click OK and then OK on the login screen.
*** Do this if Work Rep password has also changed ***
Once successfully logged in goto the Repositories tab in the Topology Manager and update the Work Repository connection details with the correct password.
Logout of ODI and edit the Connection Profile to renable the association with the chosen Work Repository then re-login.
Pretty strightforward all in all.

Account "preferences" changing between home and work...

I'm not exactly sure what the issue is, but here goes...
On my MacBook I have only one user account (same as the administrator). At home, I connect to the Internet via Airport.
When I bring my notebook to work, I connect to the Internet via an ethernet connection. I do not have to login or any other maneuever to gain access to the Internet.
Everything works fine generally. One odd behavior I've noticed -- certain of my login items seem to disappear when I'm at work. Specifically, I have several Yahoo Widgets (Konfabulator) on my desktop. Only some launch when I'm at work. Also, it seems that certain changes to my desktop (wallpaper, location of icons, etc) change between home and work.
Any idea what might be causing this behavior? Thanks!

You will need a seperate "screen name" for each Mac in order to video chat. The nice thing is you can get another .Mac screen name by signing up for another .Mac account and and after the free trial, you can keep the .Mac screen name.

Should Master Repository and Work Repository be of same Technology??

Hi Experts,
Is it mandatory to have Master Repository and Work Repository to be in same Database???
I have created My Master Repository in Oracle and My Work Repository is in MSSQL.
I am facing some issue while creating Physical Schema.
Is it because of different technology for master repository or work repository??
Please let me know how to debug as it is urgent.

Once there is no "physical" link between the repositories (like a FK for instance) there is no problemn to have distinct technologies.
I already done projects in this way. What are the issues that you are facing?

Must master repository and work reposiotry ids be unique?

the master repository id is 001, work repository id 32, but there is a table( in the model) in work repository with id 25001, and all it's columns id are xxx001.
I want to know if there is any potential of object id conflict. If we recreate the table, It takes a lot of time to recreate the package/interface etc to refer to that table.
Does the object id of master repository and work repository has to be unique?

Hi,
As the architectural pattern, its mandatory to HAVE master and work repository IDs should be unique.
Rather than that, you no need to worry about the model/table/column IDs, because ODI will generate sequence of numbers, suffix with your work repository ID <sequence number>32, for each and every objects created in ODI.

Importing Master Repository and Work Repository

I need to Import the existing Master and Work repository(XML file) of Production Server on my client ODI.
How should I work around this.
Do I need to create a master repository and then import that file.
Provide a stepwise solution for it.
What else will be required to import to create the same environment?

Hey even if I change the physical server, how it will build all the source and target tables used in server's schema into my schema.
The thing is I want to replicate the task done on server machine.
I have all the ODI objects but from where I can manage the database objects from server to my machine.

Can't change Master Account and now worried about ...

I used to have two properties and so two BT master accounts but when I sold one property and closed one account, two of the the sub email addresses from the closed account were supposed to move to my remaining account. It didn't happen and I tried to get it done numerous times via the call centre which caused me great distress as a) I suffer from tinnitus and just can't understand the call centre and b) they kept passing from person to person, they would say they've sorted it when they didn't, or they just didn't have the fogiest clue what I was asking them to do so that after 15-20 minutes of trying to explain it very simply I'd just give up and end the call.
In desperation I came on here with a query about this last October but at the same time I managed to speak to a call centre worker who for once was immediately very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do. I was told it would take a few days to resolve as there were a few steps to take but after a couple of weeks I checked and absolutely nothing had changed. After advising them that nothing had changed, I was asked to call them about what needed doing but I couldn't face yet another call of struggling to hear and explaining what the problem was. So I left it.
I then received an email in March saying you were going to shut down my two email accoutns on 14th April if I didn't link them to an active accoutns. I followed the requried link process but after a month they're still not showing on my master account and they still show the old closed master account in their accoutn informmation. I don't want to loose these emails but I'm panicking that I will as the link isn't working and I can't face speaking to the call centre again. Please please help.

Export and Imoprting Master and Work Repositories:ODI11g

Hi All,
I have exported our development master and work repositories from ODI as zip files.
IDs of Development master and work Repos are 1 and 2 respectively.
We are NOT using common Master repository across environments,
In test Environment DB I have created 2 schema for testing master and work repository.
While importing the master repository FIRST time in to testing ,I followed this :File->New->Master Repository Import wizard.I gave new ID 22 for master repository for testing and proceeded and it has gone through and i am able to see all topology details.
1)How to import work repository into testing work repository,when i connected with master repository of testing, the designer window is disabled.
Should i create new work repository manually with same ID as of DEV or with different ID and then import into the work repository?
Whats the impact if i am going to create work repository with same ID or different ID?

I have created master repository with ID 22 in Test Env, and created testing WORK repository WORKREP11TEST with ID 23 in this master repository and connected with WORKREP11TEST, while importing Dev work repository WORKREPO which has ID 2 into WORKREP11TEST, i am getting a pop up window saying that
"The work repository 2 is not declared in this master repository ,would you like to declare it?If you refuse, the current import will be cancelled"
what is this actually, i click OK and went ahead, is any impact of this
after importing ,i have re-checked the ID of WORKREP11TEST which shows 23 , this seems to be correct i guess,
please clear me this,

Problem in export/import work repo !!!

Good Morning.
I have a problem with exporting and importing repositories. The description of the problem is given below,
I have a remote machine in that sunopsis is installed and all the developments,implementations,testing are happening there.
Now i need to stimulate the same environment in my local desktop(ODI is installed and master,work repo is created).
When i export the work repo from my remote machine and trying to import it in my local machine (from designer level import->work repo) after a while its saying "snp_lschema does not exists" error.
Any one have idea why this is happening?

I need some more clarifications,
Actually i exported my master and work repo from my remote machine (as a zip file) and saved it in my local drive (say D:/downloads/deploy.zip...)
So when i tried to import master repo from topology ( browsing the zip file and said OK) its not doing anything, i mean nothing happens after i said OK.
Should i have to copy this master repo zip in the Sunopsis installation folder (in IMPEXP directory) and then import it? Am i doing right?
Please advise.

ALE and Change Master

Hi all,
I'm using Tx CC92 to distribute Change Master.
It works fine, Change Master is available with Objects (BOM etc...) but the Change Number doesn't appear in the BOM (CS03) ?!?!?!
Any idea ?

Solution :
1) Distribute Material Master Data
2) Distribute Change Data
3) Distribute the BOM :
3)a) Send the BOM with datuv = STKO-DATUV, using MASTER_IDOC_CREATE_BOMMAT.
3)b) Read all BOM-Positions (STPO) and check if Changes are active on a position (stpo-datuv > stko-datuv)
3)c) For each position with Changes, send the BOM with ale_datuv = stpo-datuv and ale_aennr = stpo-aennr, using MASTER_IDOC_CREATE_BOMMAT.

How do i proceed. I need a proper sequence to import the ODI objects.

Is it essential to create a new master and work repository and import the master and work repository xml files.
Or if we just click on import master repository and give the connection details of where we want it will also work without creating it.
when I click on new in ODI tool, it shows two options create master repository and import master repository.
In my case which option should I go for?
I just need to create development env on new server by importing all the required xml files on my local machine.

Change the look and custom themes, masterpage problem

I have created a masterpage and deployed it to the masterpage gallery.
I have created a spcolor file and a spfont file and deployed them to the theme catalog.
I have also created a New item in the composed look list like this:
Masterpage: /_catalogs/masterpage/mycustom.seattle.master
Theme: /_catalogs/theme/15/mycustom.spcolor
Font: /_catalogs/theme/15/mycustom.spfont
Image: none
DisplayIndex 3
The problem is this: The theme is not displayed in the Change the look preview window.
But if i change the masterpage back to std (/_catalogs/masterpage/seattle.master) in my composed look item. THEN it is displayed ??
Changing back to my custom masterpage, then it disappears.
Everything looks right, i can apply the theme through code. Masterpage is also changed in code and works.
The only place it doesn't work is in change the look.
The masterpage is deployed like this:

ECM: Change Master Record in Production Order

Hi
I have created a Change Master Record and made change to the BOM with respect to that change master record.
Now I want the Change master record (Eg. 001) to be visible in the production order (Master Data tab) when the production order is created.
Also, I would like to know if I can change the change master record (to say, 002) in the Production order so that the BOM with respect to that particular Change master record is selected.

Hi Jack
I think at the time of creating Change master record u haven't maintained the Object types.
In that View u have to maintain Tick at the check box of Actv., Object & MgtRec of Object types-- Bill Of Material & Task List.
This will resolve your problem of Change Master Record Display at the time of Production order Creation at View of Master Data.

Out of curiosity, do you have 2 step verification enabled? It was recently extended to include iMessage & FaceTime & I'm wondering if it might be causing some of the issues that some users are experiencing.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

I tried resetting my Master Password using "chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul", but when I click on "Change Master Password" it asks for my CURRENT password. I don't have a current password, because I don't remember it and am trying to reset it!

Using FF 4.01 for laptops & desktops, Windows XP 2002 SP3. I used "chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul" to reset the Master Password. Then went to Tools/Options/Security, clicked on "Change Master Password". BUT it asks for my CURRENT password and new password. I don't know my current password. Is there a default Master Password that I need to input as the Current password?

If you still have a Master Password set then it looks that resetting the MP hasn't worked.
If using the chrome url (chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul) doesn't work then delete the files [http://kb.mozillazine.org/key3.db key3.db] and signons.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder.

You need to set a new Master Password after renaming or deleting key3.db and all currently saved passwords are lost.
