Change Usage Decision

Hi erybody.
I need to change the Inspection Stage for several Inspection Lots. But this Field is disable.
This is my scenario.
Problem:
1. The supplier create ASN's with lead time around 6 weeks. This
material is shipped by sea.
2. The inspection lot is created with actual Inspection Stage
(IMR). "Skip Lot Automatic"
3. Several Inspection Lots were created by the same way
4. The last Inspection Lot is created urgently and is shipped by air.
5. For the last Inspection Lot was made the Good Receipt from the
warehouse.
6. The material is rejected in Production Line.
7. The quality level is changed in order to check all the pending
Deliveries.
8. But for all lots that was created the Inspection Stage is not
changed.
How can I change the Inspection Stage for pending Deliveries?

As Inspection lots are already created, SAP will not change the stage for them. Any new inspection lot created will go though stage change based on DMR.
For existing inspection lots
Add un-planned  MIC in QE02 transaction, This will prevent Auto-UD for skip lots.

    Does anyone know of any BAPI or FM which can change usage decision on inspection lot. I'm already aware of BAPI_INSPLOT_SETUSAGEDECISION. This only works when there is no UD on inspection lot.

    Hi,
    You can change Usage decision  , but you cannot reverse usage decision directly. You need to look for SAP notes.

  • Wrong usage decision

    Dear sirs,
    I have one issue.
    One of materials is assigned to quality.
    GR (101 mvt type) is posted for that material for 20000 litres and inspection lot is created.
    While performing transaction QA32, usage decision is to be made with 20000 litres and this much quantity is to be moved from quality stock to unrestricted stock.
    Unfortunately user has posted usage decision with zero quantity.
    With this,20000 litres of stock is left in quality only.
    Now how can I change usage decision?
    Please suggest me the solution

    Dear sir,
    When I take QA32 and try to post usage decision for the same inspection lot, system is throwing error message "The function you selected can not be carried out"
    When I try to post "return deliery to vendor " using MIGO keeping the stock type as Quality stock, then also system throws message "You do such changes in quality"

  • Usage decision follow up action change of status in equipment

    Hello every one, I am having calibration scenerio in my project. All process is running properly but the issue which i am having is that when i am giving usage decision i should get a pop up to change the status of the equipment which is not coming in my case. i have checked followup action whch PM_QM there i have activated 2 Funtion modules one is for automatic TECO of order which is working properly and second is change to status in equipment master which is not working for me. Kindly give some guidance to me on same.

    Please let me know the equipment type you are using.
    If you are using equipment type other than Q then u may get such type of issues.

  • Unable to change stock posting date at usage decision while inspecting HUs

    If we were using materials without WMS it's simple: thereu2019s a button in the screen for stock posting by which we're able to change document date and posting date; but we're using WM and the screen is slightly different: the button I'm referring it's gone!
    So, how to change the posting date at posting stock in QA11 when we're using handle units? Some end-user told me that in version 4.7 this was possible. I don't think so ...unless there was something customized at WM IMG...or maybe they were using a USER EXIT to bring a pop-up window for this (I'm starting to believe that this was implemented..). This is the first time I work with HUs, so I don't know how to manage this.

    Does anybody know how to change posting date at usage decision for handle units (HU)?
    If the material is not managed by HU, SAP allows this modification (there's a button with a hat on it referring the material document header).
    For HU I cannot seem to change posting date!

    Yes it's possible! Well,...unless for versions 4.6C, 4.7 and ECC 5.
    I've found SAP Note #752131 by which SAP declares that you can create the pushbutton from the Screen Painter referring the document header.
    That's all,.....so simple, and it works fine!
    This note applies ONLY to version 4.6C, 4.7and ECC 5 (which is the version the customer I am with has installed).

    If you have clicked the "change document" in QM view then change history for the Usage Decision can be seen in the long text of UD or In Change history in QM view.For accessing this long text you may have to use function module READ_TEXT

    I am maintaining 2 UOM in the material master .
    1) Kg
    2 ) Tonne
    I am purchasing my material in Tonnes . During Usage decision, I want to post my material in Kg.
    I ] Is it possible to make the UOM change during Usage Decision.
    II] Is it possible to use same inspection plan for the same UOM, In case of I am recieving the material  by Kg or Tonne

    You cannot normally change the UOM in the UD.  You can only use the bas UOM.  SAP however does have a note on using alternate UOM in the stock posting. It is not as seamless as you would probably like, but its the best you'll do.
    The note is 605861.

    With the import of the assigned Support Package or the implementation of
    this note, a Business Add-In is made available with which you can program
    an input help for quantities in the usage decision.
    For example, this enables you to specify quantities for the stock posting
    in an alternative unit of measure in the usage decision. Via a
    corresponding BAdI implementation, you can call up a dialog box - in which
    you can specify the respective quantity with the required unit - in the
    usage decision when you use the input help (F4) for the quantity fields.
    However, the quantity is always transferred in base unit of measure to the
    stock posting.
    The BAdI can only be used for stock-relevant inspection lots. You can only
    enter the quantities in other unit of measures manually (explicit call of
    the input help).
    You can implement new BAdI QEVA_ALT_QTY_INPUT using Transaction SE19.
    Take also the documentation on the BAdI into account.
    You can transfer the BAdI definition together with the respective
    documentation using the assigned Support Package.

  • Automatic TO Creation for QM Usage Decision

    Dear Gurus
    We all know WM TO to releasing stock from QI to UU or return goods to vendor can be created automatically,
    My question is, when the usage decision is split into two, some material going into stock, and some returned to vendor. for return to vendor, SAP will do automatic transfer, but for material go into stock, SAP is not release Q status in WMS to unrestricted (blank), I have set the movement 321 to create TO automatically and post into same bin.
    FYI, if the transaction is separated, SAP perform well (transfer Q to unrestricted done automatically and return to vendor also done automatically)
    Is there any solution for this problem?

    Hi,
    In case of a usage decision for a partial quantity, it is not possible to create the TO for the generated posting change notice automatically. This is only possible when the full quantity is released. The same happens if you release a partial quantity and post the rest using a different stock posting. The reason is, there needs to be a user decision, which part of the quantity has to be posted, this is necessary for example when the quantity is distributed in the warehouse over many storage bins. But even if the full quantity is on one storage bin, there is no automatic TO creation. You can see this also in the online processing LT05), in case of partial quantities you have to enter the selected quantity in the quant list, for a full posting this is not necessary.

    I have an issue while doing material posting through Usage Decision. Please find below the details.
    Inspection Lot  10000604689
    Material        1730PCPBS.0031
    Batch           QP611097      GQ02
    Out of total qty of 2100 we need to post the following
    To unrestricted use                     2,098
    To sample usage                         2
    Following error appears,
    Deficit of SL Stck.in qual.insp 1,638 NO : 1730PCPBS.0031 62GQ GQ02 QP611097
    Message no. M7021
    Diagnosis
    Shortfall below the specified stock level or quantity amounting to 1,638 NO.
    System Response
    If the message is an error message (E), the above is not allowed.
    If the message is a warning message (W), the system will allow your input, but the warning is intended to prevent you entering a wrong quantity.
    Procedure
    In the case of a warning message, check the quantity entered.
    In the case of an error message, change the quantity or terminate processing.
    I have checked that quantity 2100 of material 1730PCPBS.0031 is in QI stock. Kindly advice what is the issue and why we are getting the error?

    What is the status of inspection lot?
    One of the possibilities I think could be inconsistencies between MM and QM.
    Have a look on SAP note 48815- Checking possible inconsistencies between MM and QM.

  • Selection of usage decision based on % of rejection done thorugh Insp Lot

    My business scenario is as follows:-
    I have created new usage decision codes as mentioned below through QS41and assigned the same to code group RI-UD and catalog 03. 
    I3     INITIAL REJECTION >75% to <=100 % (1) 
    I4     INITIAL REJECTION >50% to <=75% (40)
    I5     INITIAL REJECTION >25% to <=50% (60)
    I6     INITIAL REJECTION <=25% (80)
    and quality score maintained the same through QS51

    Anything can be done SAP!   But what you want would be all custom.  There is no SAP functionality that would do that for you.  I'd start with the auto UD program first.  Have the programmers modify the selection parameters to select the list of lots.  Than process those lots with the logic you want o use and change the UD accordingly.  I'd make sure I could run the program manually as well.  Similar to some of the other UD workload programs.

  • AFS-QM Error in stock posting performed by taking Usage decision

    Hi all,
    during stock posting with 105 mov type performed by taking Usage Decision (QA11), I faced with a strange system behavior, described beneath.
    Previuos steps:
    Purchase order creation
    Partial Good receipt performed by MIGO, mov type 103 (Blocked stock from PO)
    Automatic Creation of Inspection Lot
    Error encountered:
    If I take usage decision (QA11) for the inspection lot created, putting the stock checked in Unrestricted Use (correspondant mov type = 105), in the following good receipt (related to the same purchase order), the incoming stock available is less of the real quantity, previously accepted..
    After some checks we understood that with 105 mov type the system doubles the real quantity previoulsy accepted, acting in the following manner:
    Initial PO: 100 PZ
    1° Good receipt: 30 PZ
    (automatic creation of inspection lot)
    If we take a usage decision, posting stock to unrestricted use (mov type 105), in the 2° Good receipt, the quantity available from the same PO is not 70 PZ (100 - 30), but only 40 PZ ! !  (100 - (30 * 2)) = 40
    Please note that it does not occur if we post stock (always 105 mov type) with a MIGO transaction, so we are forced to think that the problem is strictly related to AFS-QM inventory posting, and not to 105 mov type or inbounding process.

    I'm not familiar with the specific apparel and footwear solution but with regards to QM, if you are using the standard SAP delivered stock postings, it should use 105 to accept the material to unrestricted for the GR blocked. 
    I would first use MB51 for the material and batch and review all the material movement documents.  Look at the trail of movements and try to see where the changes happen.
    In your example, what did the unrestricted inventory and GR blocked inventory show as stock levels?
    I'd also check OSS for issues related to AFS/QM.  This is not new functionality in SAP so I would be surprised if this was an actual bug or problem in the system that hasn't been seen before.

    In addition to The above ..
    1. You can select the each inspection lot for the material and click on Extras --> UD Information... for Initial and final UD Details
    2. Click on Extras --> Change History... to get complete details of all changes  for that perticular Inspection Lot.

    Hi,
    You can change results recording in case the MIC in the inspection plan of the lot are marked as "long term characteristics", else it wont be possible to change result recording.
    you can change the UD code only after giving the Usage decision.
    you cannot change the defects recording.
