Usage decision follow up action change of status in equipment

Hello every one, I am having calibration scenerio in my project. All process is running properly but the issue which i am having is that when i am giving usage decision i should get a pop up to change the status of the equipment which is not coming in my case. i have checked followup action whch PM_QM there i have activated 2 Funtion modules one is for automatic TECO of order which is working properly and second is change to status in equipment master which is not working for me. Kindly give some guidance to me on same.

Helloo,
Please let me know the equipment type you are using.
If you are using equipment type other than Q then u may get such type of issues.
Please try out with equipmetn type Q or P

    Hi All,
               I have a requirement in which a function module will be triggered for a particular Follow up action.
    In this FM we have to determine the equipment and the Maintenance Order , if both are available , status of the equipment
    should change to 'A' , status of maintenance - order = 'Technically completed' and Maintenance Notification = 'Notification Completed' .
    How can this be done.? I am able to change the status of Maintenance order and notification but can anyone help me in
    determining the equipment and changing its status to 'A'. ?

    Hi Gajesh,
                     The process is as follows :
    1) During Calibration of a product,depending on the technician's User decision , 3 follow up actions are created.
    2) Each follow up action has one FM associated with it, which is customised in      SPRO > Display IMG > Quality Management > Quality Inspection > Inspection Lot Completion > Define follow-Up Action .
    3) In the first case ( first Follow up action when the inspection is successful) the first FM is triggered. In this FM we have to perform the following steps :
                                   a) Determine the Maintenance Order and the equipment.
                                   b) Incase both are available, status of equipmnt should be changed to 'A',
                                       Maintenance Order should be changed to 'Technically completed' and
                                       Maintenance Notification to 'Notification Completed' .

    SDN,
    in calibration order. if i reject inspection lot ,system should trigger notification as follow up action.
    Can any one suggest the name of functional module that can be assigned in follow up (QM customizing)action so that system trigger notification as inspection lot get rejected.
    All other follow uop actions like.. order teco, equipment status change, etc. i have done and tested.

    Thanx for promp reply. i have tried to assign these functional module in followup actions but system throwing en error . it's given below -
    Function module QFDL_INIT_NOTIFICATION does not have E_SUBRC parameter
    Message no. QM403
    Diagnosis
    The interface of the function module you entered is not compatible with the interface of the sample function module.
    Procedure
    Check the function module and add the missing parameters to the interface.
    suggest how to proceed.

  • Material Disposition After Usage Decision

    Hi Gurus,
    Im working on a scenario werein I need to change the Defect recording after I need to change the disposition of the material. The process is, the lot will be rejected, and will go to a certain Location. In this location, the user will decide whether it can be rework, return to vendor or use as is. User will need to key in in the system.
    At first, I though I can just use of changing the usage decision. But they say they need the disposition per item in the defect code. But once I have done usage decision, Defect cannot be changed.
    Please help to identify other process that I can do.

    Then in that case the only solution will be to activate notification.Please follow this process
    1) Maintaina default notification type in the inspection type in the config
    2) When defect recording is done automaticaly notification will be created
    3) When UD is given notification also gets closed automaticaly
    4) Go to notification ( in UD screen , select the defect and click on Notification and put the notification back in process (menu button > function> Put back in process
    5) Here you can edit the defect or add defect and automaticaly gets assigned to the inspection lot
    Please check and revert back

  • Timing of usage decision and results recording

    Hi Gurus,
    The business have different testings that require some time to get the results. They need to sell the products even before the results are out. So they need to UD the ilot even if the tests are not yet done. How can we record the results if the ilot is already done with UD and the product is already sold?

    Its not recommanded to do the Result recording after material is sold but still you can try to use the concept of "Long term Inspection "
    While creating a MIC ,check a control indicator ,tick on  "Long term Inspection "
    This will allow you to do result recording after UD
    In a long-term inspection:
    There can already be a usage decision for the inspected material during the long-term inspection
    You can still record inspection results for long-term characteristics, once you have made the usage decision
    The system sets a separate status in the inspection lot to identify the long-term inspection and it provides special worklists and workflow tasks for this purpose

  • Follow up action duriing usage decision

    I have done the necessary configurations for triggering followup actions after doing usage decision in the system like
    defined follow up configuration and assigned functional module to it
    defined codes and code groups in qs41
    defined selected sets with follow up actions in qs51
    and I would like to know why after these settings are made the followup action is not  getting triggered in the field followup actionwhile doing UD  after  providing valuation code .
    Is there any others settings i need to make after these is so please help me in getting this triggered

  • Mapping the Follow-up action to the Usage-Decision

    Hi All,
               I have a the following requirement in my development:
    The Usage decision needs three function-modules for the three cases of the follow-up process.
    In addition to that this ,service shall have a control table in Customizing, where the customer is able to decide which follow-up action should be made. (not standard customzing). The function-module for this process is not standard.
    1) Does the second requirement also require FM?
    2) Please give me the steps to map the Follow-up action to the Usage-Decision in SPRO

    While I'm trying to use the follow-up action "MAIL3" in the usage decision screen, I recieve a mail from my user to my user.
    Is it possible to send the mail via follow-up action "MAIL3" to other users?
    Where can I enter those user's names?

    Yes as Gajesh as referd the function module is "QFOA_UD_LONGTEXT_SENDING". That belongs to Mail:3.
    Mail3 is STD SAP follow up action and will have following information:
    Material document number
    Material
    Total lot quantity
    Sample quantity
    Completed number and description of stock postings
    Usage decision code
    Lot valuation
    Quality score
    Name of person who made the usage decision
    Long text (if applicable)

  • SAP QM Issues regarding follow-up action after Usage Decision

    Dear Gurus -
    Kindly need your expertise to resolve these issues regarding follow-up action.
    1. After taking the UD i need to trigger the follow-up action to send an email with the long text to a group of people. As per standard SAP the email goes to the person taking the UD. Kindly can some one explain what & where do i need to make the changes. Also please let me know what is the customized Email ID table where mail ID's will be stored which fuction module can extract.
    2. Can i also use the same functionality for partial lots during inprocess inspection. I need to send an email to a group in case the valuation is rejected for that operation.

  • Back dated action  which is changing the status ' inactive'

    hi friends,
    my requirement is as below :
    i want to insert  back dated action which is changing the status as inactive ( currently he is active) .
    System is not accepting to insert it and giving the message "   future action exists,check the status"
    So for that first i am deleting  all future actions and inserting the current action(which is changing status) and after inserting back  all the deleted actions.
    But the problem is  as per the latest records in IT0000 it is showing currently the  employee is in 'active' status(as we have inserted back the deleted records).
    But i want to make him into 'inactive' status after the current action( which is changing status as inactive) is inserted.
    This is my urgent requirement . an anybody respond to this immeadately.

  • QM_Follow up action in usage decision

    Dear QM Experts,
    1.     We can record the defects in inspection lot (01 origin) which creates quality notification in background under F2 type.
    2.     If the defects are recorded usage decision is given as Rejected.
    Requirement is auto email should be sent to predefined email addresses briefing defects and number of defects. This has to be done only for those lots whose UD have been given as Rejected. Question is which follow up action and which function module to be used for this?

    QFOA_MAIL_SENDING-Send Info MAIL After Usage Decision (Mail Contains UD Data)
    QFOA_MAIL_SENDING_STANDARD-Send a Short Info MAIL After Usage Decision
    you have to assign these follow up actions with FM to the rejected UD code

    As per the requirement transaction type is activity(ACTI) & sales order(TA). when the take order objective is complete system automaticaly craete a new activity of tele sales call or metting with wholesaler.
    this is requirement of client.
    now i am already create all type of transaction types of activity & sales order & create follow up transaction also. i have doam already create action profile also but when i am assign this action profile to transaction & try to create an sales order no follow up transaction could be create automatically. i think the condition is not right so please help me out in this. what should be the start & schedulec condition for this scenerio

  • Unable to change stock posting date at usage decision while inspecting HUs

    If we were using materials without WMS it's simple: thereu2019s a button in the screen for stock posting by which we're able to change document date and posting date; but we're using WM and the screen is slightly different: the button I'm referring it's gone!
    So, how to change the posting date at posting stock in QA11 when we're using handle units? Some end-user told me that in version 4.7 this was possible. I don't think so ...unless there was something customized at WM IMG...or maybe they were using a USER EXIT to bring a pop-up window for this (I'm starting to believe that this was implemented..). This is the first time I work with HUs, so I don't know how to manage this.

  • BAPI or FM for changing usage decision on Inspection lot

    Hi,
    Does anyone know of any BAPI or FM which can change usage decision on inspection lot. I'm already aware of BAPI_INSPLOT_SETUSAGEDECISION. This only works when there is no UD on inspection lot.
