Changing Hibernate - connection URL after startup in LCDS

Hi,
I have a flex app that have different databases (names) with the same tables.
I want to dynamically change the database url in hibernate (or hibernateassmebler used in data destination) based on the customer.
(example. xyz company will have xyz database in mysql)
While I know it is possible to have assembler run-time configuration and change it using remoting, I am wondering if there is any solution to change Assembler hibernate-db-configuration (like by extending it..) on demand. (for destinations that are already written in the data-management.xml file).
If not, it poses a large inflexibility.

Finally I have found this site:
[http://blog.mclaughlinsoftware.com/oracle-architecture-configuration/changing-windows-hostname-and-oracle-enterprise-manager/|http://blog.mclaughlinsoftware.com/oracle-architecture-configuration/changing-windows-hostname-and-oracle-enterprise-manager/]
These are the steps:
1. Change the %ORACLE_HOME%\network\admin\listener.ora file from an IP number to machine name.
2. Change the %ORACLE_HOME%\network\admin\tnsnames.ora file from an IP number to a machine name.

  • No internet (wired) connectivity directly after startup

    Often after starting up my computer I have no functional internet connection. A restart is then required to get connected.
    As a result syncs normally done at startup (such as dropbox and an rsync script I run) fail.  Safari behaves as if there is a connection,
    but does not actually connect to any site.
    Note that this is NOT a WiFi problem, since I am connected to the router by ethernet cable (as well as WiFi, usually).
    I have never seen this before on Mavericks.
    I have started noticing this after upgrading to Yosemite, on several occasions and on several computers, including a late 2013 iMac and an early 2008 iMac.
    After a restart the problem is always gone. I have never seen it happen on the second start.

    Hi Eric,
    Thanks for your reply.
    Tonight the problem has turned from a minor nuisance into a major disaster, so I hope you -- or some else -- can help.
    When I turned on my new, 2013, iMac this evening I had once again no internet, as stated in my post. I checked that the status lights in System preferences, Network was green. But there was no connection to anything. I restarted. Still no internet. I turned WiFi on. It connected (WiFI signal in status bar was black, with four bars showing). Now both status lights in System preferences (Ethernet AND WiFi) were green. But still no connections to anything. Then I decided to restart my router, and then the iMac, but this did not help.
    I checked that my iPad connected to the internet, and it did, before and after the router restart. I tried two more restarts, but unlike what happened in previous occasions this did not help either. Then I decided to try my MacBook Pro (Mid 2009), via WiFi, and it connected without any problem. Then I tried to restart my iMac from a clone I made a few months ago. This worked, and I was connected to the internet. Then I restarted my iMac from its internal disk again. Now, finally, I had internet.
    But then I noticed something really weird, which might be a clue. I clicked the two links in your mail. They opened in Safari. The pages load extremely rapidly, but turned out to be completely empty. This is not the first time I have noticed such behavior with Apple Support pages. Previously, I believed that there was something wrong with those pages. But now I tried to look at those pages on my laptop (also running Yosemite 10.10.1) in Safari, and they load at normal speed, and are visible. Then I tried looking at them on my iMac using google Chrome, and once again they are visible.
    Unfortunately those pages do not address my problem, but I understand these are the first things to check, and I appreciate your help.
    I will report here how this story continues, because clearly it is not finished.

  • When I try to download an app it comes up with no connection URL and it says I've typed in my password wrong multiple times when I haven't changed the password

    So I have tried to download several apps and it asks for my password. I type in my password and then it comes up failure to find service connection URL. After clicking retry multiple times it comes up and say my password is incorrect. When I logged in here my password is correct. How do I fix this

    Hi, Taterbug17.
    I would recommend signing out of the iTunes Store on your iOS device and sign back in.  Here are the steps on how to process these steps.

  • New X300, XP installed, radio disabled after startup...how to change that!

    Hi there,
    got the X300 and after replacing Vista with XP the problem came up that my wireless connection is always after rebooting turned off! It's no problem to turn it on, but it's my job to configure that and it's no good state like this.
    I've updated to the latest intel 4965AGN driver and also got that Intel ProSet Tool. Hardware is also turned to wireless. ThinkpadAdvantage Access connection is also good.
    The exactly process is that at the startup the intel proset now is opened automatically-->excellent connection and after 3 seconds it turns off!
    Anybody able to solve this problem?
    thanks in advance
    moritzbond

    moritzbond, welcome to the forum,
    it sounds as though you have a possible power management issue. If you are using Access Connections you will need to edit your profile(s) in the following way:
    In AC profile editing select the "Settings for Wireless Connections", then click the Settings button at point "5" Advanced Configuration and choose in Power Saving "Low - Best Network Performance". It is also worth changing the power settings in the properties of the WLAN card through Device Manager.
    Obviously with these settings there will be a reduction in battery life.
    Hope this helps

  • No automatic connection to a wireless router after startup!

    After adding a new wireless router to my home network an iMac G5 does not automatically connect to the wireless network after startup.
    And so the story began: I'm running a wireless network for years without problems at my home. The wireless router is a Orinoco 102.11b with 128-Bit WEP encryption and I have 4 different Mac connected to it.
    Because I wanted to use the higher 54 MBit/s speed and a more secure encryption for my network I've installed a LINKSYS wireless router and configured it for 102.11g and WPA2.
    Everything worked fine except the automatic connection after restart on my iMac G5 running Mac OS 10.4.10. I can connect to the new wireless router but I have to do it manually after each restart. The password is therefore stored in the login keychain. The connection can be established automatically after sleep but not after startup...
    So I switchted the connection back to the old router and got unfortunately the same behaviour. The iMac does not connect any more automatically to the router after startup. I removed the new router from the network, deleted all wireless passwords from the system and login keychains, created new keychains, switched back and forth the preferred vs. automatic network selection, created new locations, changed the root password and so on...
    It seems that the new password entry in the system keychain causes an error in the password encryption of the system keychain which prevents the automatic connection to the network after startup. Replacing the keychains from my backup does not work either after I've once created a the system keychain.
    Is there any log file, which may proof my assumption or can give me some more information of the erroneous login process to the wireless network during startup.

    One thing that can work, try this, *please ignore the exact symptoms and connection and Hardware types*, it's worked for many others than the stated...

  • Failed to open the connection after changing the connection in CMC

    Hi
    Below are our environment details:
    BOXI 3.1 SP3
    Solaris Sparc 10
    Crystal Reports 2008 Sp3
    Weblogic 11g
    Our team is facing the problem as described below:
    We have created Crystal Reports using JDBC connection and it works fine
    in an environment(SIT).
    When we migrate these reports to the another environment(UAT) we get
    the error "Failed to open the connection"
    After migrating we indeed change the connection to Custom Database
    Login Information in CMC.
    So to troubleshoot we installed Crystal Reports in UAT environment and
    had to perform Set DataLocation after which
    the reports starting working fine.
    Now when we are migrating reports to Production we have the same issue.
    We cannot install Crystal Reports on Production this time and hence we
    are stuck.
    Please let us know if any known workaround or solution for the same.
    Thanks

  • Wifi no longer connecting after startup

    wifi no longer connecting after startup... so I have to connect manually... started after 10.7.3
    any ideas

    Which computer are you experiencing this on?
    There are several threads dealing with (mostly) iMacs + bluetooth keyboards/mice and issues with WiFi no longer automatically connecting. There seems to be some issue that 10.7.3 introduces with these series of macs.
    No Apple provided solutions yet, but several workarounds: 1) attach a network cable direclty from modem/router to mac; 2) use the power button instead of mouse/keyboard to wake up mouse; 3) use USB keyboard/mouse (not personally confirmed); use airport extreme/express as a bridge.
    Right now it's a waiting game until Apple provides another update. I do recommend going to Apple feeback: (http://www.apple.com/feedback/) and at least voicing your opinion. Calling AppleSupport will do the same, but they'll make you go through the same (likely useless) steps everyone else has done.
    Good luck!

  • Tab title is changing to "connecting" after page has loaded

    Yesterday, my tabs in firefox started to act a little bit odd. When (only when) tab has loaded few seconds pass and tab title changes to "Connecting...". Before title change to "Connecting...", tab title is as it should be - webpage title. And this is happening to all tabs. I have opened like 12 tabs all the time. Is someone familiar with this situation? I don't have tab renamizer installed. Thanks

  • "cannot create jbcd driver of class " for connect URL 'null'" error

    I am trying to get an application that is currently working fine on a Windows platform to work in a Linux environment.
    One thing that is different from my setup in Windows, and also one that I have no experience with, is the Linux-Ubuntu default install of Apache uses Virtual Hosts and Tomcat's equivalent multiple sessions.
    I'm running the app out of the usr/share/tomcat6/webapps/msgboard instance of Tomcat vs var/lib/tomcat6.
    I am calling the application from Apache Virtual Host port 80 using mod_jk. The application cannot run under native Tomcat because of the extensive use of PHP. Everything else in the application is working correctly including a DWR (Ajax) servlet. However I also tried a simple test app from native Tomcat and got the same results.

    SOLUTION
    I had to add
    <Resource name="jdbc/webappDB"
         auth="Container"
         type="javax.sql.DataSource"
            maxActive="100"
         maxIdle="30"
         maxWait="10000"
            username="root"
         password="password"
         driverClassName="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"
            url="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/webapp?autoReconnect=true"/>into /var/lib/tomcat6/conf/Catalina/localhost/ webapp.xml
    Note: the above context file was created automatically after deploying the webapp. I had to add the <resource> to it.
    The context I created in usr/share/tomcat_home/webapp/META_INF/context.xml is still there and has the same <resource>.defined in it. I did not verify whether or not it still needs to be there.
    After that I had to add two policies
    /var/lib/tomcat6/conf/policy.d/03catalina.policy
    grant {
    permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "accessClassInPackage.org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.*";
    and 04webapps.policy
    permission java.net.SocketPermission "127.0.0.1:3306", "connect,resolve,listen,accept";
    That did the trick!
    Other things that were done but have not been verified as to have any bearing on this issue.
    I changed the active java from openjdk to java-sun
    I added $tomcat_home/lib:$tomcat_home/lib/mysql-connector.jar:$tomcat_home/lib/commons-dbcp.jar to PATH
    Changed CLASSPATH=usr/share/classpath:usr/share/java/commons-dbcp.jar:usr/share/java/mysql-connector.jar

  • How to add Connection URL properties - MySQL example - SOLVED

    As I've spent a long time trying to fix this problem, I thought I would share the solution with the community
    OK, here's the scenario - I was getting some sort of error with the SQL being generated by Crystal so I wanted to turn on the debug options for the MySQL JDBC driver.  This is done by adding properties to the connection URL e.g.
    I changed
    jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test
    to
    jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test?profileSQL=true&dumpQueriesOnException=true
    The problem is that when I try and use this connection string at runtime, I get an error from the JDBC driver saying that the URL is badly formed and that the parameter
    dumpQueriesOnException=true?user=
    is wrong.
    As you can see, this quite cleary points to some mangling going on inside CR4E that is not taking account of the fact that the URL may already contain a querystring so it should append & rather than ?.
    After much messing I found that this is what you need to set your Connection String to;
    jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test?user={userid}&password={password}&
    profileSQL=true&dumpQueriesOnException=true
    I presume this is an issue with a lot of databases that expect stuff in the query string of the URL.
    I hope it saves someone else some time.
    Steve

    Hi karlo Smojver,
    I am also facing same issue can you please explain me how do you resolved.

    my ibook fell down from the desk, the display is broken, so i remove the display and all the cable of the display. then i connect another LCD. the ibook sleeping after startup. so what's wrong with it? anybody can give a solution?

    It could be that you've damaged the system which checks whether the laptop lid is closed; whatever the cause of the problem is, it sounds like you need to get it repaired if it's fallen off a desk and the display is broken!

  • VZaccess Manager changes WiFi connections to manually connect from automatic

    VZaccess Manager changes WiFi connections to manually connect from automatic.
    I have Panasonic CF-19s with VZaccess manager installed with a NDIS connection that automatically connects to Cellular service. I need my WiFI connections to also connect when available and have them set to automatically connect and managed by Windows (WiFi connection in accessmanager is set to None). When I first configure it, it works fine and we use Netmotion to decide which connection to use. After exiting VZaccess manager and restarting it, it changes my WiFi connections to "manually connect" even though accessmanager is not managing it. As soon as I exit out of Accessmanager  the connections are changed back to "automatically connect". I need both connections to be active at the same time so the switchover to cellular is immediate when the WiFi connection is lost.
