Changing Major and Minor ticks in OBI graphs

Hi Experts,
I have couple of questions:
I need to change the major and minor ticks in the OBI graph. For example, my graph has minimum value as 0% and maximum value as 120%. And my interval of the graph should be 20%. Can you suggest how I can change the interval? Currently the interval is 24%. But I require it to be 20%.
Any help here would be great.

  • Major and Minor Versions in OBPM Deployment

How do we identify and classify some process/project as a major and minor version while deploying a project/process onto Weblogic Enterprise Server using the Process Administrator?
Is there a guide which says what is a major version and what is a minor version of the project/process?

    Hi,
The only document I know is http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13165_01/albsi/docs57/ALBPM55_57ProjectVersioningRules.pdf
It is a bit old since is for 5.7 version of the product but I believe it has not changed in the new versions.

  • Powershell script to find number of major and minor version for a item

Is there a way to figure out to get the total major and minor version count for an item in powershell.
I can get the count on basis of following
    “Item Versions” = $item.Versions.Count
but not sure how to get number of major and number of minor version for an item. Pls advice.
    Thanks Basva

    Hi Basva,
There might be an easier way, but this should work:
    foreach($item in $list.Items)
    $minor = 0
    $major = 0
    foreach($version in $item.Versions)
    if($version.Level -eq "Draft")
    $minor += 1
else #Assume Level must be Published
    $major += 1
#The variables $minor and $major will now hold
#the correct number of versions for this item

  • Major and minor increment printout

I am new to Labview, only have a couple months experience using Labview 7.1.
My application is to use ultrasound to inspect a component.  For every component inspected, an ultrasound wave chart is print out.  I define my Y axis max and min, also define Y axis major and minor increment as 20 and 4 respectively(see attached file).  However, the very first print out is not what I defined.  It always the major is 10 and minor is 2.5 but the Y axis max and min are still correct.  For the second print out and there after.  They are all correct.  Did I miss something here?
Any help si appreciated, thank you.

  • Web Chart - Display Minor Ticks, but not minor gridlines - BW3.5

We have recently upgraded to BW 3.5, and I am still trying to find my way around the web chart designer
I want to have major and minor tick marks shown on the vertical axis, but only gridlines on the major tick marks.
Can anyone tell me where to find these settings?
I have managed to turn the minor tick marks off, which removes the gridlines and the tick marks, but I still want the minor tick marks to be visible (As I was able to do in the previous version)
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I think I have found out how to do this.
You set the colour to none. Simple, and yet inconsistent with other areas of the chart designer.

  • Change Font and Size of Graph Annotations

Just learned a cool little trick from Christina Rogers about how to change the font and size of a graph annotation after I left a comment on her blog (if you are unsure how to create a graph annotation, check LabVIEW Help).
With the Cursor Legend selected, use the Font Dropdown on the toolbar to select the font you want for the annotation. Apparently, annotation and cursor text on the graph inherit the font of the Cursor Legend. If you do not like how the Cursor Legend looks after you have changed the font, you can make it invisible again (I have never shown the cursor legend in final UI products... and I have never used "Hobo Std" in final UI products...).

  • Displaying labels for Minor Ticks?

    Hi!
I am using MSVC++ 6 with MeasurementStudio6. I want to have the minor ticks have labels in logarithmic scaling when no major tick values are shown. Is this possible with version6 or only in the .NET version.
    Thanks,
    Miklos

    Miklos,
There is no built in way to add labels to the minor ticks in VC++ or .NET controls. However there are "Value Pairs" in VC++ and "Custom Divisions" in .NET. This basically allows you to add a label to axis at a specified value. You can have a collection of these to form a more detailed scaling for each zoom situation. You could for example check the range that is being viewed, calculate the values where it would make the most sense to have the labels and add the value pairs programmatically.
I suggest that you file a suggestion at http://www.ni.com/contact (go to product feedback) that way our engineering department will be notified.
I hope this helps you get started.

  • Change colors of individual pixels on intensity graph?

I would like to be able to change the color of a set of individual pixels within an intensity graph, to blue for example, while leaving the color table otherwise as is, for example, gray scale.  The change to blue would be based on location, not on current gray value.  I think I can accomplish this using the mask fx with picture controls, and then convert to intensity graph.  Is there a more direct way?  A good example to demonstrate this capability would be just using a 'mouse down' event on an intensity graph to change the color at the mouse location.  Any thoughts are appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Don

Yes, seems to work fine .
If you have LabVIEW 8.0, there is another possibility. There is a new property that allows drawing any pictures or picture elements on your graph area. Of course you could draw individual pixels, but nothing prevents you from e.g. drawing circles, squares, odd shaped areas, arrows or event text. ... Anything you could do with a plain picture indicator. One example that ships with LabVIEW 8.0 is Envelope.vi, see image.

  • Is it possible to display a TickLabel on minor tick marks?

I am trying to figure out whether it is possible to display a label on minor tick marks in a LineChart. I can't immediately gleam from the NumberAxis > ValueAxis > Axis javadoc how / if this could be possible to do. Tried experimenting a bit with making my own custom Axis class seeing if anything would pop when I started overriding methods, but no, not really.
The issue I'm trying to solve is having the minor tick marks labeled on the chart when it is zoomed in. Currently, if I zoom in on a region contained between two major tick marks, there will be no axis labels at all (except the bottom left corner), which is unacceptable. I need to be able to label those minor ticks at some level of zoom to make the chart more readable.
If anybody have any ideas on how to proceed with this problem, greatly appreciated.

Bump. Is there any resolution for this issue?

  • Frustrated, irritated, disappointed and extremely ticked off 16 1/2 yr Verizon Wireless customer!!!

This is a long one, so you might want to get comfortable!
As stated in the "subject", we have been with Verizon for over 16 yrs. with NEVER a change to any other service...SOLID!!!  We purchased 4 Samsung Fascinate phones at Christmas and LOVED them...until the latest update about a month ago.  From that moment, it has been nothing short of hell!!!  Dropped calls, no calls, voicemails on calls never received, failed receiving and sending of texts, email failures, internet malfunctions or no availability, phone locks up(happened before updates periodically, but not near as often)...the list goes on and on.  Probably wouldn't have noticed the issues as much had we not had FOUR...but all four of us were having problems.  After about a week or so, we went into a store and were told they didn't know anything about the issue with the phone(we had already put together the fact that it had something to do with the update!) and said they would "research" it and give us a call.  The next morning we received the call stating that "yes" there were problems with the update and that we would need to come in and Verizon was offering 3 NEW phone choices as replacements. (NOT "LIKE NEW REFURB" phones...NEW PHONES)  We went up to the store and picked the Charge...we are not "techy" folks, we thought it was the most like ours and then the sales persons tells us it is the best one to replace ours being a 4G and all and also stated she was surprised it was on the list as a "NEW" replacement...then the circles began.  The salesperson went to order them and we were told they were out of stock and that the best thing for me to do was EVERYDAY dial *611 and ask if they were back in stock at the warehouse...not that she would continue to check, God forbid there be any customer care service...but for me to do it and she handed me a "Post it" sticky with the phone listed on it and *611...I guess in case I forgot the name and #...LOL
I called the next day and was told, "Oh, no, we can't help you here.  You must go into the store directly."  So, I explained what I had been told and was informed that the warehouse would sent out a message to let the stores know they must handle it in-house and not let the customer call the warehouse on this issue.  I was then connected back to my local store, where apparently the call "rolled over" because it connected me back to the warehouse and that representative proceeded to tell me I had to call the store.  I informed him that I had and it had come back to them AGAIN!  He suggested I "try the store again", so I did.  And, AGAIN, it rolled over to the warehouse...I was again connected back to the store where a "precious" sales associate informed me, "yeah, we're all out of them" and also when I explained that I kept calling the store but getting the warehouse, "yeah, when we are busy or something and don't answer, it rolls over there, sorry, you'll just have to keep trying"...!!!  Then, last night while speaking with customer care Noah(who was AMAZING!!!), and after almost 2 weeks of being told that they were out of stock on the Charge phones(I'm still thinking NEW phones)...in fact, there were over 9000 in the warehouse and to let him get me connected with a technician to get these ordered out to me.  I was then connected to Kevin.  After going through my frustrations over the past couple weeks trying to get these phones, he informed that that I was again, misinformed and that they were in fact "out of stock" on these phones!  LIVID at this point, I ask how in the world can 1 minute there be over 9000 and now NONE?!?  That is when I am informed of the "like new refurbished" replacement.  I can only say I lost my mind in that second!!!
I realize that we are mere shads in this ginormous pond called Verizon and my tiny $280 monthly bill is nothing in the grand scheme of what is Verizon.  However, I have been a LOYAL, CONSTANT for over 16 years, spending THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of hard earned dollars with them and was happy to continue to do so until now.  I also realize that there are 2 other phone options for us to choose from...but now it's the principle of the matter.  It's one thing for me to buy a phone and after months of wear and tear, something go wrong with it and they send a "like new refurb" phone...I get that and we have used that service several times over the SIXTEEN YEARS+ we have been with Verizon Wireless.  However, this is not that same issue...I bought a NEW phone and that NEW phone was working perfectly and we were all 4 completely happy with that NEW phone until an update was sent out that made the phones completely malfunction.  I also realize that it was a Samsung update...but that is between Verizon and Samsung.
I think we've proven our loyalty over the last 16 1/2 yrs to Verizon...and do not feel it is unreasonable to think that they should send us NEW phones to replace this issue between them and Samsung.  In the grand scheme of that, given our long history with Verizon...they stand to make another several thousands of dollars off of us, which, I'm pretty sure would offset the cost of these Charge phones.  I know we are not the only ones having issues with this phone and feel everyone deserves the same courtesy with a new phone!  I'm disappointed that Verizon's actions with me on this issue has me questioning my loyalty and looking at my options with other carriers...I think I've proven that I don't like change...I wish they would prove they don't like customer change and step up and send me 4 new phones!
    Sincerely,
Frustrated, irritated, disappointed and extremely ticked off 16 1/2 yr Verizon Wireless customer!!!

    @ spottedcatfish
April/May 1995...you do the math sweetie...
I realize that Samsung designed the update, not Verizon...however, Verizon and Samsung have an agreement with the phones offered, therefore, Verizon accepts any updates Samsungs puts out...that has nothing to do with me, until my phone is completely jacked!
If you read my post in completion, you would see where I stated that we have had on several occasions used the "like new refurbished" phones offer on our phones.  This is exactly what we are doing now, except it was never stated to us in THIS instance that it was "like new", we were told "NEW"...however, it is irrelevant as being "like new" when there are none in stock to replace ours with.  That was one of my points!  At this time, with them being out of stock and us battling with them for TWO WEEKS over getting FOUR phones replaced...I feel they should send new ones if that's all they have in the options offered to us.  So your statement of them "doing us a favor" is a pile of cow dung...but thank you for the input...
And, again, yes we still have the Fascinate because, as stated in my post, when I call *611...they cannot help with this issue...it has to be handle in the store and they say the warehouse is "out of stock" and we should just keep calling back everyday...
Thank you for your amazing reply!

  • How to set the number of minor tick marks?

How does one set the number of minor tick marks? My major tick marks are located at 0, 5, 10, 15, etc. I'd like to have 4 minor tick marks in the range 0 to 5, 5 to 10, 10 to 15, etc. Is this even possible with Numbers 2.02?

It's good that you are using a Scatter Chart for this. Just make your settings in the Inspector as shown in this example. You will be using the Chart Inspector, Axis Tab, Value Axis Settings, with the Chart selected.

  • BSD root: disk0s2, Major 14, minor 2

I'm getting the above message on a G5 Xserve running 10.5.8. It locks up there and won't go any further whether you're booting Verbose or Single User. Now I know this is not an unusual message to get, but the fact that it stops there and won't go any further is what's distressing. I've run diagnostics on it via Target Disk and found no errors, but it still won't push past BSD root: disk0s2, major 14, minor 2.
Ideally, it would be great if we could get it back up just enough to migrate services to the new server we just bought to replace it, however if I have to build from scratch, I can build from scratch.

After running software update on an iMac running 10.5 I am having the same problem (the version it updated to was 10.5.8). The machine will boot in single user and target mode, but if I try to boot normally I get grey screen forever, and in verbose mode it locks up at BSD root: disk0s3, major 14, minor 2. If I boot from Leopard disk and run Disk Utility, repair permissions locks up, but verify disk says the disk is fine. Please help.

    Hello,
In the intresting document I read that for the deployement the version number mentionned in the MANIFEST.MF is very important in a clustered evironment.
SAPnote 727180 - Version of PAR File in Manifest File
    denies this.
    Can you clear this out?
