Changing persitence FileI/O to DB2e

Hi,
The persistence of my app was development withFile I/O. Now, we want use DB2e. I would like to know, if it's need just do the download of the ADD-ON for DB2e or it's necessary change something in my persistence? We are using Smart Sync.

Hi Fabrico,
After downloading the files for DB2E , just unzip its contents .From this just check the install.xml file.
In this , u can see the installation instruction ,

This instruction is used to set properties in your MobileEngine.config file.The properties which are to be changed are written in one configuration file (db2e.config ) , which is located in your props directory.Just check the contents of this db2e.config
file . In this , u can see the DB2E specific configuration parameters which are to be written in to your MobileConfig.config file.
So once the installation of DB2E database is successfully completed on the client device, the MobileEngine.config file will be overwritten with the DB2E specific parameters. So u dont have to change these parameters in the MobileEngine.config file.
Here the main thing to note is ,after the fresh installation of MI Client , this DB2E file must be the first application installed on the client device. During first Sync this must happen .
If u are using role synchronization for deploying applications and add-ons in your client devices , and you have to install one application also at the first installation , you have to create one installation sequence for your applications which are to be
installed. Your DB2E data base add-on must have the installation order 1.
If you need some additional parameter changes in your MobileEngine.config file , then u have to change the install.xml file accordingly.

Db2e Patch application

Hi all
I am running on <b>MI SP15 with MAM 2.5</b>
I downloaded the DB2E patch <b>db2eV822.zip</b> from SDN downloads and deplyed in my client with MAM2.5 application
In SP15 installation Guide it is mentioned to change entries in Mobileengine.config if we are using FLash card, in my case i am not using Flash cad in my device but want to test the performance using db2e
Can any one guide me in this aspect.
Do i need to change the entries even in Laptop Client also if I deploy in laptop Client ??

If you do not need additional funcionalities using DB2E , then you do not have to explicitely change the MobileEngine.config file.

DB2E for AWT client

Hi experts,
i am trying to assign DB2E 8.2.4 on MOBILE AWT client(SP 18 ), but when i click on START button of MI Client Installer of DB2E it shows me some error as follows :-
installation failed: version check for appliaction 'MOBILEENGINE_JSP' failed;'null' (installed version) greater equal '2514' returned false(used prefix match)..
I think that DB2E for AWT client is different,is it so ?? and if yes please let me know where can i get the one specific for AWT client.
Also is it so that JQuery not supported exception occurs when DB2E is not installed on client??

Hi,
can you not install the DB2e manually for a test to see if your landscape works as such?
Steps are described in the DB2e install file - have a look into the XML.
And by the way - for a test instead of having no solution for a few days - there is the number mentioned in the setup file you would need at least to install that DB2e - I would simply change that number as long as I have no better solution.

Is it more than one page? If not, open it in Preview and Save As a jpg file. It can only do one page at a time (the current page showing in Preview) so you would have to do one page at a time doing Save As to multiple jpg's.

Sounds like a permission issue.
Navigate to the iTunes Music Library.itl file
The path should be Username/Music/iTunes/
Right click on the iTunes Library.itl and select Get Info
The window will open on the left hand side. Go to the Sharing and Permissions section at the bottom
Click the padlock to allow changes and enter your Mac logon password
Select yourself and make sure you have Read & Write selected. Click padlock to lock it again
Close the Get Info window and try and start iTunes

Encrypted DB2E 8.2.1a on PDA WM2003SE

Hi all,
I am trying to install the encrypted db2e version 8.2.1a (which is recommended by SAP) on a PDA with Windows Mobile 2003 SE with SAP MI 2.5 SP 18.
This is not working. It is downloaded, the client installer pops up and when I press start the following message is displayed: "installation failed: Version check for ap...".
I have also tested this DB2E on the laptop, with Windows XP and SAP MI 2.5 SP 18. On the laptop it works.
Does anyone know why this DB2E 8.2.1a is not working on my PDA?

There was a change in the DB2e archive for 8.2.1a shipped by SAP. Earlier, if you open the install.xml which is present in the DB2e archive, you would notice an entry called "MOBILEENGINE_JSP". This entry created a problem in installation in MI AWT Client and installation failed on AWT. Hence inorder to resolve this issue, the latest release of 8.2.1a contains an entry called "%MI_FRAMEWORK%" instead of "MOBILEENGINE_JSP". This change is done to dynamically detect the whether the MI client framework is AWT or JSP. Hence to resolve this issue you have to install SP18 Patch 02 ( Note no.982495).
Steps for solution:
1. Assign and install SP18 Patch02 to the client
2. Once installation of Patch02 is successful, assign and install DB2e 8.2.1a archive.

BADI for changing fields during Creation of BP in CRM

Hello to everyone,
I need to find a BADI (or other way) to default several fields during BP creation in CRM (4.0 SR1 SP9). The fields I will like to set are TAX TYPE, TAX NUMBER, TAX CATEGORY, etc.. I have found the BADI BUPA_TAX_UPDATE but i dont see any suitable parameters (structures) to changes these fields. Please advice and thanks in advance.

If you use function BUPA_NUMBERS_GET then your BP number will already be buffered and you can avoid a DB read. It may also be that the BP is not in the DB yet anyway.
You can only pass one GUID in at a time - loop through IT_CHANGED_INSTANCES into a variable of type BU_PARTNER_GUID and pass that into the function as input parameter IV_PARTNER_GUID.

How to restrict manual changing of free goods in sales order

As per SAP Standard, when the main Item quantity is changed, the Free Goods are redetermined. In this case any manual changes to Free Goods Quantities are lost.
But your requirement is for restricting the Chages of the Quantity of Free Goods Correct?
I believe there is no SAP standard solution for this. You will have to apply a User Exit, which will check the Item category of each LIne item & if it is free goods (TANN) then changes are not permitted.

There is a selecvtion for Customer.
sort itab by kunnr.
loop at itab.

read table zitab with key kunnr = itab-kunnr.

Now my problem is that AT END OF Kunnr is working fine for the first customer or say for single customer but when there are multiple customers AT END OF kunnr is triggring for each entry.......
In debug MOdei can see that as soon as read table syntax is used the tabix value is changed....
So Can anyone suggest what is the solution....

So i want to move the values according to the end of Vendor so for that i want to know is there any sy-index available which reflects changes when Control break (AT end of) process.
LIKE Sy-subrc = 0 when select statement fetches record or sy-tabix is like counter for loop.

But your requirement can be done with 'AT NEW' and 'AT END' statement.
Refer this sample example,

By using diagnostic tools from Oracle we have discovered that the file 'osso.conf' in $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/osso contains incorrect entries for login_url and logout_url.
These settings are of the form:

Did you check the Zoom setting?
Have you tried a reset (reboot)? Hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears.
If it isn't Zoom and a reboot doesn't help try Settings/General/Reset - Reset all settings

Email address change--how does this affect laptop and nook?

I use my Adobe ID only to authorize my laptop and Nook. I need to change my email address which seems easy on the FAQs, but how do I then reauthorize my laptop and Nook? And, if I do this, are all my existing library books unreadable since they were downloaded by what the Nook thinks is a different user? I'm almost sure I won't be able to return any books in ADE on my laptop, but I can live with that if I can still read the books on the Nook.

when i contol click on the downloads icon in the dock i get the gris view . I thought if you control click, you are able to change the view to fan or list. am I doing something wrong.? Icheck to make sure the contol key is working by doing a screenshot and it works there. What am I doing wrong?
