Changing the name of the PC, I cannot configure the listener
Hello,
I use
Windows 7 64 bit
Apex 4.1
Glass Fish server
Oracle Database 11g Express Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
CORE 11.2.0.2.0 Production
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
I have changed the name of my PC ( for it contained "-" and "_") Then I did the following changes:
I changed the name of my PC in tnsnames.ora and listener.ora and "Hosts" file (in windows\system32\drivers\etc).
When I try to configure the listener, I get webpage saying Internal Error.
How can I reconfigure it again ????
Regards,
Fateh
Hello Fateh,
I think there are two options on how to reconfigure. In both cases, you'll have to locate your apex-config.xml .
h3. Option 1: Edit the apex-config.xml
h4. Steps
<ol>
<li>stop APEX Listener
<li>edit apex-config.xml (change hostname for the database connection)
<li>start APEX Listener
</ol>
h3. Option 2: Delete the apex-config.xml
h4. Steps
<ol>
<li>stop APEX Listener
<li>delete apex-config.xml
<li>start APEX Listener
<li>re-run the configuration process by calling http://<yourAPEXListenerHost>:<port>/apex/listenerConfigure
</ol>

How do I change the name that is displayed as one of the main folders on finder?
I cannot figure out how to change the name that is displayed as one of the folders (in the red circles in the picture). It currently has my dad's name because he set up the computer but he does not use it and I wanted to try and change the name to my own. I have tried system-preferences/users-&-groups and made changed the admin to my own name but that did not change the folder name. And when I clicked the "unlock to make changes" on the folder menu (left window in the picture) it did not allow me to change the name. Any ideas?
That is your admin account on the computer. Simple solution:
Create a new admin user account to your liking. Log into that new account then delete the old account.

have change my name and my icloud is still using the old account. how do i change it to my new apple ID on my iphone without deleting the backup already in icloud
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

have added name to Sql server , users cannot access the report, getting error message ,
I have give all the permission to this users, so why this users still cannot look at the report,
and getting error message,
An error has occurred during report processing.
cannot create a connection to data source Ax live
for more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine or enable remote errors.
can some please help me what this message means,
I really appreciate it
thanks In advanceIf "Credentials supplied by the user running the report" is selected, when the report is run, the user will be prompted to provide credentials. They would need to provide credentials that have the appropriate permissions (e.g., read, execute) to the
database. This prevents the double hop.
If "Credentials stored securely in the report server" is selected, you have to enter the username and password of a user (or service account) that has the appropriate permissions (e.g., read, execute) to the database. When the report is run, SSRS will use
these stored credentials each time to authenticate to the database engine and query the data. Users running the report are not prompted to provide credentials. With this option you can use an Active Directory or SQL Server account.
In order to access/run the report, a user will need to authenticate to SSRS. There are options here as well. You can provide them the link to the report manager and they can authenticate, navigate to, and run the report. You can also provide
direct links to reports that users click in a document or application. At this point the user is typically still prompted to authenticate to SSRS. You can also programmatically call the report using API's and essentially build a proxy that authenticates
to SSRS and open the report.
Not sure if that answers your question. -
One of the user accounts on my computer cannot access the start up disk or its user folder.
I have two user accounts on my computer, both with administrator permissions. One account appears to function normally; however, when I log in to the other account, the System Disk does not appear on my desktop, and does not appear in Finder either. When I ran the disk utility as the user with the problem account, I was instructed to repair the Disk by restarting in recovery mode. Running the Disk Utility in recovery mode was unsuccesful. I received a message saying the disk could not be repaired, and that I should back up what I could, then reformat. I exited the utility and restarted my computer logging in under the user that does not appear to have a problem. I ran disk utility as this user; however, this time the utility reports that everything seems to be okay. I log back in with the problem account and the problem stil exists. I cannot see the system disk.
Thanks for your help. I didn't see your tip until after I had decided to delete the user account then recreate it. When I recreated the account, I thought I was still in trouble, because the disk did not appear on my desktop or in finder. Then I saw your tip to check the preferences. I changed the preferences and now I am able to see the disk in finder and on the desktop. Your tip to check Finder preferencese was something I did not know about. I am not sure how they were changed. I don't remember ever changing them. I guess thinking about it more, the default option may be to have the disk hidden from the desktop and finder, In the which case I was simply remembering wrong.
The only thing that puzzles me still is why when I ran Disk Utility on the one account, it indicated that the disk needed to be repaired, but that it was unable to repair the disk, though, when I ran Disk Utility on the other account, it said everything was okay. After deleting and recreating the account, Disk Utility no longer indicates any problems. It looks like there was something wrong, just don't know exactly what. At anyrate, it is all fixed, and I now know about the finder and desktop view options. Glad it wasn't something more serious. Thanks for your help. -
What in the name of Goodness have you done with the full screen picture of Contacts? How dare you just change it without so much as a bye or leave? This is NOT progress but a throwback to about 1997! I supposedly 'updated' to an iPhone two weeks ago. Should have stayed with Samsung I reckon. I am deeply unimpressed!

Type the name and password of a user in the "(null)" group to allow this.
To connect to wifi while in the recovery partition, I'm asked to authenticate the wlan's certificate, and in order to do that I'm asked for "the name and password of a user in the "(null)" group" to make changes to the Certificate Trust Settings. Anyone know what or which user may this be?
I'm not able to pass from the initial apple screen when I boot, so I wanted to repair or reinstall Lion, but in order to do that I need to connet to the WLAN to download it.Hi, I called Apple Support this day, and the answer is that enterprise WPA wireless is NOT supported by Lion Internet Recovery.
You can find the supported configurations and protocols on Apple site:

How can I re-install Snow leopard having installed Lion? The disk supplied states that I cannot use the version of 'Install Mac OS X'...HELP!
None of the instructions usually given for downgrading seems to mention the fact that you will lose some data in built-in applications, including at least Mail. When you installed Lion, your Mail database was converted from the format used by Snow Leopard's Mail to that used by Lion's Mail. There is no way to reverse that conversion. Therefore, you will lose your entire Mail database. If your messages are all stored on a remote server, that may not be an insurmountable problem, but otherwise you'll have to restore from the last backup you made before the upgrade, and then you'll still lose all changes to the database made since that time.
Another fact not often mentioned is that downgrading is usually the worst possible solution to a problem with Lion. But that's the answer to a question you didn't ask. -
Started a similar string before. When I select a recipient in Messages on my Macbook Pro the name shows up in red and says the recipient is no longer registered on iMessage. I know that they are registered. Is there a problem with Contacts possibly. The previous help has been appreciated but the problem persists.
Hi,
Try iMessaging your own iPhone and see if your account is actually logged in.
It can appear "enabled" and On line but sometimes it is not.
Also try sending from your iPhone (number) to your Apple ID and see if it gets to the Mac.
If it does not use the Sign Out button.
Then shut down the Mac
On restart add back the Apple ID to the iMessages account settings.
I also just checked My wife's iPhone as she popped up red.
It turned out her iPhone did not have Messages On.

I am trying to upload photos from my Windows 7 desktop, and was told to go to the iCloud control panel and drag the photos into the
upload to photo stream icon. I have downloaded the contol panel several times and cannot find the icon to get this done. HELPIf you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).

an event in one of my libraries no longer has the event icon next to it's name in the browser just the name only. I can't view the clips in the event or import new clips. I've tried deleting the event and nothing. After control clicking the event it shows all the media that has been previously imported. But it does not allow anything to be done to the event including deleting. This showed up at the beginning of a normal import session. This is fortunately the back-up evant.
Did you perhaps mess with the contents of the library in the Finder?
You may try the solution suggested in this thread:
