Check size of infocube in terms of K (100 K or more dimension members)

Hi Experts,
How can I check Infocube size in terms of K (100 K or more dimension members) ?
Full points will be assigned.
Thanks!

Hi Rakesh,
Thanks for your reply. I am assigning you full points.
Is there a tuning parameter in BW to increase the result buffer?
Thanks!

  • How to check for a large cube (100K or more dimension members)

    Hi Experts,
We have a customer with trouble returning large data sets.  How can I check for a large cube (100K or more dimension members) on BI7?
Is there a tuning parameter in BW to increase the result buffer?

You can do a count of the n° of entries in the dimension tables.
    But that's a pain in the ***.
You might consider running program SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS.
This program gives a list of all infocubes with a ratio between the dimensions and fact table.
So you can see if a cube is well-designed or not.

  • Is it possible to change the font size of the PO terms only in the email?

    Hi all,
Is it possible to change the font size of the PO terms only?
We are emailing PO and terms to the Suppliers.
Is it possible to reduce the font size on terms only so that the file size is smaller and easy to print on the supplier end?
    TIA

Are we talking out Purchase Order PDFs here.
If you are mailing PDFs I think you can take a look at the XSL FO Stylesheet which is being used to generate the PDF for a PO.

  • How to check workbook by Infocube

    Hello bw gurus,
Is there a way to check Workbooks by Infocube. I am trying to check work by infoarea/ infocube but When I open the /ORRMX and open workbooks new pop up window gives me option to open work book by ROLE, Favourites and History.
I want to open the workbook like query where pop up window give u option to choose the infoarea first and then drilldown to infocube.
    your help is highly appreciated.
I will immediately assign point to valid answers.
    Thanks
    Hitesh

Ok. So you can insert different queries in a workbook using the Tools button on the Bex toolbar. First you'll execute a query that you want to include in the workbook, then if you want another query on the second sheet, click and position your cursor on the second sheet and from the Tools button > Insert Query > then select the second query that you want to be part of this workbook. Similalry you can add more...
You can also read through it here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f1/0a55dfe09411d2acb90000e829fbfe/content.htm
To check which query is being used in the workbook, you can display it using the Text elements. From the Layout button on the Bex toolbar > Display Text Elements > General. You will see some rows added after the free chars and one of them has the name of the InfoProvider.
    Hope this helps...

  • How to check size of an image

I'm often sent what I'm told by professionals are "high res." , "print ready" images- which I would assume are at least 300 dpi CMYK images, but when I check size (image>image size> PS CS6  dialog box tells me these are 72 dpi images. I'm fairly certain the error lies with me rather than with the professional photographersdesigners that send the images.
I'm currently working with an image that says its 1.9M (when I hit info)
Then when I pull the .jpg into PS CS6 and go image>Image size> I see this dialogue box:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/ww3ekp2tfiinxhr/Screenshot%202013-12-04%2009.51.39.png
This happens to me over and over and I have no idea if these are print ready 300 dpi images or not as the size indicates it should be fine by the 72 pix./inch on this dialogue box makes me nervous.
Also, the images always are in RGB, rather than CMYK
    Help!

I generally get he images from drop box, email or given to me on a thumb drive. I'm not really worried about the RGB facor as anything that comes via web or a camera shoots in RGB, just added that tidbit in case it factored into the answer.
I do understand that dpi is direclty related to image size (here is a great article that was super helpful to my understanding this, just in case anyone else is looking)
    http://www.istockphoto.com/article_view.php?ID=199
My, newly revised, understanding is that I'll always have to uncheck resample image, constrain w and h and change to 300 dpi and that will tell me the largest file size that I can have at that resolution.

  • Size of Infocube Export to a flat file (.CSV)

First off, I'm new to BW so I apologize if I use the wrong terminology. I was wondering if there was any way to estimate the size of a flat file infocube export. For example, if I look up all the associated DB tables for a cube, let's call it TESTCUBE, would the total size of those tables be about the size of the TESTCUBE export to a flat file. This assumes that the cube is not compressed in any way. So if the the total DB table size is 100 MB then is the flat file about 100 MB? If not, is there a way to estimate this.
    Thanks!

Can't say for sure how all DBs that BW run on work, but with Oracle, space is consumed in blocks, not by rows/records.
Let's say you have a table where the average row width (record length) is 100 bytes.  In a tablespace that has 8K blocks, in theory, you could fit 81 rows in the block.
However there is usually a certain amount of freespace left in a block when rows are added to accomodate subsequent inserts/updates.  The BW tables I have looked at default this to 10%. So that means youe have over 800 bytes of the block that might not get filled.  There are other things that can result in space being consumed, such as deletions that will leave dead space, and updates can cause a row to migrate to another block, etc.  Also, space is allocated in chunks as a table grows, and you may add one row to a table that causes a 10MB chunk of storage to be allocated, but it is holding only 1 row.
So as you can begin to see.  A flat export should require less space than the source table (unless you are using database table compression which could completely invalidate what I have said), but by how much depends on all the things I mentioned, and could change from day to day.
You could certainly use as a rough rule of thumb, that a flat file export will require the same space and you would be safe (except if you are using db compression).

  • Check statistics in Infocube

    Hi all,
When i go to Right click --> Manage button and then Performance tab of any infocube i get 3 areas for concern.
Check index which is Green for my infocubes.
Check aggr index is also Green for my infocubes.
Check Statistics --> This is where i am getting Yellow signal.
I just hope these statistics are different from what we generate from
    DB13 as daily job.
I also tried to Create statistics with Create stats button and triggered
    job BI_INDX_STATISTICS_BW successfully.
But even after finishing that job so many days , i am still getting
Yellow symbol for Check statistics button.
Please let me know what is exact procedure to generate stats for Infocube and when ???
    Appreciate your quick replies.
    Best Regards,
    AjitR

Refreshing the stats should start a job.  Are you running it in background.  NO job running would really sem to be the problem to look into.   The job would refresh stats on the fact tables, the dimension tables and all the master data tables of characteristics in the cube.
RSRV should identify what tables are yellow.
Keep in mind, the Warning process used is nothing very sophisticated.  SAP simply checks the date statistics were last collected on a table and if it is over 30 days old, flags it with a warning, regardless of how accurate/inaccurate the stats actually are.  You very well may have tables that are being flagged because of the date last analyzed > 30, but if the table(s) being flagged really don't see have lots of records added, then the older stats are still perfectly fine.
The best method for handling DB statistics collection is to check with your DBA and make sure they are running BRCONNECT daily.  It can be conifigured to refresh stats based on some percentage of table activity, e.g. addition of more than 25% new rows since last time stats were refreshed causes new stats on that table to be collected.  If BRCONNECT is running regularly, then you don't need to worry about the yellow warnings - the tables that have regular activity will have stats updated by BRCONNECT, and tables that don't see much activity won't waste time rfreshing stats unnecessasarily.

  • Spell Checker Size Limit

Is there a limit to the size of a section of text that the Spell Checker in a text box can handle? I am getting a message, "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message in the pop-up window. If I just enter in a short section of text in the same text box, spell checker works fine.
I am working in APEX 3.1.
    Thanks in advance,
    John

An update on this question. I have been testing it today and I have found that the spell checker in a text area works with up to 255 words. Seems like maybe I have run up against the top limit for the spell checker - 255 words or hexadecimal FF??
Any insight on this would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    John

  • How do I adjust the 'Check' size in checkboxes?

I am working in Acrobat Pro XI to build my demo form.
I curently have lots of checkboxes that are very hard to tell if they are checked.
[ ] Option one                  [x] Option one selected.
    What I want is
[ ] Option one                  [x] Option one selected.
I can do this in an external PDF editor easily (PDFill works great !) but there must be a way to do it inside Acrobat.
In PDFill I can set the "check character to any size, color, etc. to make it obvious (even on a smart phone screen) that the box has been selected.
When I re-open the form in Acrobat after editing it with PDFill, I can't see what it did to make the check mark so big....

OK, in going back and forth and back and forth I found the solution and it wasn't even close to what I thought it was....
The checkbox that you SEE is -NOT- the actual checkbox, is is part of the TEXT FIELD or Helper text.
Then over that "text" of the box, is an INVISIBLE (no borders) much larger checkbox that has a big enough "check" you can see it.
I had to go through the old file and find un-unedited field, and then I saw that when I deleted the checkbox, the box remained, as it wasn't part of the checkbox, it was just a symbol in a text field.
