Checking Transport requests present in two different clients.

We have around 200 transport requests that have been transported by consultants from D01 to R01-client1/client2 and I need to check that which transport is present in which R01 system client.. i.e. a) how many of them are present in client 1, b) how many are in client 2 and c) how many are in both. We can check the logs of every transoprt through SE10 but Is there any quick/automated way of checking mass Transport Requests status ?

Please follow the below steps to get the desired information.
1. Login to D01 (Dev client) to find the released transports..
2. Execute transaction SE01
3. Go to "Transport" tab
4. Give User as "*"
5. Select "Request Type" by tick mark as Customizing Requests and Workbench Requests
6 Select "Request Status" by tick mark as "Released" only
7. Click on "Display Button"
8. It would display all the released transports requests.
9. From here you can copy and paste all these requests numbers in the spread sheet
(CTRL + Y) then use Mouse to select the requets, (CTRL +C), and then paste it in exel sheet.
1. Now Login to the R01 (QA client) to find the import status of the release transports from D01.
2. Execute transaction STMS
3. Click on "Import Overview (F5)" or the Truck Symbol.
4. It will take you to the Import Queues for the Import Domain D01.
5. This is the option where you can select the Queue to see the desired information for Quality/Stag/prod system.
6. Now double click on the required "Import Queue" for R01 (Quality system).
7. Now Go to "Import History or (CTRL+ F7)"
8. Change the Filters as required (may be for time interval or remove any filter on client -Clt)
9. The import History will display all the Imported requests in all clients in one system (SID), so for your case it will display requests for R01/client1 and R01/client2
10. Copy the same in the spread sheet...
11. Do the VLOOKUP to find which are not imported in which clients.

Actually Smartforms are client-independent. So there is no question of same smartform being different in different clients.
Just check your SF once again.

i have developed a proxy and try to test web service in wsadmin tcode through two DIFFERENT CLIENTS.
FROM CLIENT 1 IT IS SHOWING THE SUCCESSFULL RESPONSE
BUT FROM CLIENT 2 IT IS SHOWING THE FOLLOWNG ERROR.
No implementing class registered for the interface (ABAP interface, request message , request message, namespace )

Copy Transport Request (customizing-workbench) between different systems

Hello guys !
I have a question.
I can copy transport request of customizing and workbench from ECC 6.0 system to another ECC 6.0, with the same levels of support packages and patch realease, but one of the systems in Windows and another in AIX?. The database is the same: oracle.

You can very well copy the request. Different OS platforms won't make any difference.

Transport Request number missing after Remote client copy

If you did client specific customzing in those they are of course not found.

Such transports are technically possible, but inconsistencies can occur between the versions of the transported objects.For example if you first import the Support Packages in the development system and then change an object with a transport request, the version of the transport request is valid there.If you first import the transport request in the subsequent system and then the Support Packages, the version of the Support Packages is active there.
Jusy giving another small illustration
As an example, your development system is running a higher support package level then your acceptance and/or production. If an ABAP developer creates or modifies a function which uses functionality (pieces of code) brought into the system by a support package which is not available in the acceptance or production system, this function is no longer going to work after it has been transported to those systems.

Requesting license for two different ssystem with same SID

Hello,
Is it possible to request 2 license for two systems with same SID. The systems are on different machines and their HW key are different but both have same SID. While requesting license, will it permit to create 2 different license with SAME SID.

Hi Anil,
The one for which the license is already requested is the main development portal with SID EP2. I have installed one local version of SAP EP with the same SID EP2. Now we need a license for the second system.
If we change the HW key of the original license which is already applied in the main development portal under SMP and apply for a new license for the new local version, can it have any future implications, if any.
What is the best way to deal with the situation. Is there a full proof way to change the SID of the EP system, which I can try in the local EP system.

Document Flow Functionality using two different Clients

Our Client wants a develop a functionality where document are stored in different SAP instances.
Example - FI document 123 is in client 100 and its original document is in client 200. Our client wants to go to original document in 200 from client 100. How is the best way to achieve this functionality and what are the challenges to implement it.

Hi,
This will work correctly if you use XA drivers (XADataSource instances).
You can check the vendor docs to see what exact classes you need to deploy for each database.
Beware of the pitfall: if you don't use XA drivers then commit might very well appear to work, but rollback won't.
Also, don't forget to close the connections.

Calling two different clients in SOLAR02-configuration

Hi Experts,
I have got two clients one for Configuration and another for development - All the necessary settings have been done and they are assigned to the project system landscape.
since both of them belongs to the same logical component(SAP ECC) during configuration in SOLAR02 I'm unable to select the required client as the system provides selection only for logical component.
How can i handle this ? Any inputs ?

Dear Friend.
all the three client like dev qa and prd are always in a single logical component for any satellite or connected system say R/3.
Now if you want to run a transaction say on development then in the solar02 transaction goto SAP menu
Configuration->System Role
A pop up will appear choose the role here if it is dev then choose dev if it is quality then choose quality based upon ur assignment to the logical component
then execute the transaction it will be execute in the selected role.

I have 3 clients under one SID (dev 130,140,150).
And we have more than 400+ transport requests in client 130. How can we transport these requests to other clients of 140 & 150. If I want to use tcode SCC1, that can be done only one tran. request at one time.
Do I need to write a script within unix?
Try STMS.
Click on the "import overview"
Double click on your target system
Click "refresh"
Click on "import all request" or ctrl+F9
Specify the target client
Execute the transport
Done...

Merging two different R/3 clients in to One...

I have a requirement in which i have to merge two different SAP R/3 clients in to one, which further connected to BI system for reporting, earlier reporting was done from two different clients, after merge it has to be done with one system only.
need help from someone who has done this before.
Please provide the steps to do this task.

I did it couple of years back -
1. Identify common BW objects - Master date Cubes etc
2. Identify the objects only relevant to client which is going away - need to check these in BW for continuity purposes
3. Indentify datasources - common for both the clients (same datasource in both the clients)
4. If same datasource, have a look at the enhancements - as enhancements may vary
5. Generic datasources
6. special attention to datasources of client going away as those shall be inlcuded in client staying
7. authorisation shall come later
8 most of the reporting can be handled by multiproviders

Client comparision which are in two different systems

here there is a different issue this time ....
we have two different clients (100 & 800) in two different ecc servers. in both of these servers in 100 of system-1 and 800 of system-2 ,,, implementation is done.
so now the problem is we have to compare 100 with 800 and what is missing in 100 has to be copied or what ever it may be has to be brought in to system 1 ( client 100)
i mean earlier what we were doing in 100 & 800 differently , now should me done in one single server.
how can i proceed , plz give me step by step procedure or give me some links.

How to send the transport request from one client to other client?

I have generated one transport request in one of the client in Development server.Now as it is customizing request so unless and until i transport it to other client within the same server, Changes will not be visible in other clients.So how to transport this customizing request from one client to other client within the same server.

Hi Jitendra,
Release your Transport Request via SE10, then go to STMS & import the request first to your quality server, then to your production server.
