Choosing an exchange product

I have created a simple website for my company. Now the
owners are wanting a photo gallery / selections process for
customers to use during the construction process. The basic idea is
that we would create a database of each different item used in
custom home construction (yes, this would be a LARGE database) with
a photo for many of the items. Then the customer would use the
intraweb pages to make their selections.
For example, the customer is needing to pick the ceiling for
the formal areas of the home. First they would need to pick from
ceiling types (coffer, tray, flat, paneled). Then within the
category, they would see photos for different elevations of each of
these. The customer could pick the look they like and then hit
"Submit" for it to be entered into a selections table of the
database.
Is there any known exchange software that already does
functions like this, or should I consider a shopping cart or photo
gallery and modify one of them. I am a fairly novice designer and
would rather purchase the software then reinvent the wheel. Any
help or guidance toward the right direction to look would be
greatly appreciated.

What serverside language do you want to learn? This would
have to be a
custom built site as I know of no canned software that would
do this.
This would have to be a database driven site.

Customer chooses sort of products (price, newest etc) - every other site has this so BC must?

Hi,
Does anyone know how to allow the customers to choose the sort order of some pages?
I don't know about you, but I shop online a lot. Whenever I go to the sale page if I feel like buying something but I know I don't really 'need' anything, I always sort the products from cheapest to most expensive.. Anyone that shops on Asos will know what I mean... And for stores I shop at every few weeks I always sort from Newest to Oldest (as who really trusts those New products pages)..
Most websites have this option and I was thinking on the weekend that almost every time I shop online I do this. Maybe it's a female thing wanting the best value but in today's economic climate I'm suprised we can't do this in BC. I always get annoyed with a website that doesn't have basic functions and to be honest if I was shoping on our website I'd be pretty unimpressed we can't do this so surely our customers feel the same way.
Any ideas?

Hi there,
BC offers two features that you may possibly use. Once is the catalogue browse panel and the other is the product search form. You could convert the product search form into a single button that will return the products in the search results (hide the keyword field) and sort the products according to the dropdown selection. This could be price, alphabet etc. Otherwise you may want to look at some jQuery sorting techniques.

Exchange Product Update Not Available

I purchased PHP Ajax Datagrid (Version 1.4.9) through Adobe Exchange several days ago and it does not work with DW CC. I contacted the developer and he said that I need to update to version 1.4.10 to correct the problem.
Version 1.4.10 is showing as available on Exchange but it will not update my older version.
The developer will not correct the issue and has told me I have to update through Exchange.
If Exchange will not allow me to update how do I get a refund for a product that will not work with DW CC.

Can you send a screenshot of what you are seeing? My assumption is that you are seeing PHP Ajax Datagrid 1.4.9 listed in your My Stuff section but it is not giving you the option to update - is that correct?
If yes then please search under the All section for PHP Ajax Datagrid. Complete the steps to purchase the extension however it should prompt you that you have already purchased the item. Click OK and it should start to download and install version 1.4.10.

I have 2 Gmail accounts set up as Exchange accounts on my iPhone.
How do I choose what account to use when I create a new contact? I know with calendars, I am able to select which calendar account I use.

If the laptop is operating correctly, it should automatically switch to pick up the stronger signal from the closer AirPort.
Try turning off the wireless on the laptop, then turning it back on to see if it will pick up the stronger signal from the closer device. You will likely find that you will need to do this with iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad as well.
Unfortunately, there is no way to designate which device connects to which.

Can I choose an exchange for a new line if equidis...

We are considering purchasing a new build property in the KA6 5HB postcode.
The sales centre at the property has two phone connections - one from the Prestwick exchange, and one from the Annbank exchange. The postcode for the sales centre is KA6 5HL which is 100 metres distant from the KA65HB postcode although this is not the way it is shown on the Openreach map.
Broadband speed in the sales office is 18Mbps down, 4Mbps up which would be acceptable.
The BT site states that 1-2Mbps is possible for this location?
The Prestwick exchange is due to be upgraded in December this year (shown as Coming soon), however the Annbank exchange is Under Evaluation so is unlikely to be upgraded anytime soon(if ever).
Is it possible to specify which exchange we would like to be connected to as part of the new line installation.

very unlikely if Openreach would even consider it and even if it could be done the costs could in the thousands to be done the site office which is showing the speeds you post would only be available as a fibre connection

How to choose between Exchange 2007 and Exchange IMAP if you have choice?

I'm running a silver intel macpro at a company that is predominantly PC.
I just installed snow leopard and have an Exchange account that I had already moved to Exchange IMAP so I could access it with Leopard (although I was never able to get it to work under Leopard).
Ideally I'd like to use Mail/iCal as much as possible for interacting with Exchange, and only revert to XP under Fusion occasaionally.
Given that goal, would appreciate any insights into whether I'd be better off connecting via Exchange 2007 or Exchange IMAP.

Thanks for info - I was unable to get mail to autoconfigure to my exchange account, but after I configured iCal, it correctly configured mail (and address book) to access my exchange server.
I'm thrilled so far with what I've seen - it's so refreshing to be able to use my Mac apps for work.
Just to clarify, if I set up my account using IMAP, would I notice any differences in functionality, or is just a matter of ease of setup?

I looking for help with knowing which version to purchase. The only tool I use is the extraction tool. I am using that on the the XI trial. What product would I need to to purchase to have that option available?

Both Acrobat Pro and Standard allow you to extract pages from a PDF. That's not a feature that Adobe Reader or any of the Acrobat.com online services offer. If the extract tool is the only thing that you need, then I would recommend Acrobat Standard, so that you're not paying for features that you don't need/won't use.

I need help on choosing an Adobe Product

I'm working on web application that deals with large sets of raw data, and the app needs to be able to take that data, plot it, and display that plot to the user. Whatever I go with needs to be able to play nice with PHP and MySQL. Would Adobe Flash Pro be more up my ally to do the plotting? I came across some blog posts that made it seem like Flex might be a good choice, too. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Flash can be used with PHP/MySQL but your request is ambiguous. Flash might be overkill.
PHP can command an image toolkit on a web server to generate an image file with plotted data. You can even get premade SWF charts to render data...

Exchange and Kuler extensions unable to connect in fresh install of CC products

I just installed CC products yesterday (PS,ID,AI,PR,FL,DW,LR,AE,Exchange,and a few others). Upon successful download and install, nothing in the extensions panels will load. GRanted i only have Kuler and Exchange at the moment but, neither will connect in any product. The exchange product will connect seperatley but the extension will not. Below is a screen-cap of the window. Any suggestions? I have already checked that the "allow exchange to connect" button is checked in all applicable products.

OK, thanks for ruling-out the VPN/proxy/firewall issues. Just to make doubly-sure that some other software on your computer isn't blocking internet access for unknown programs, can you check what antivirus software is currently running, and check whether you have any third-party Internet Security software installed?
Given that you're seeing this behaviour in several products, it suggests that some system-wide component is failing to get online. We need to work out exactly which component is the problem, so could you please share these logs with us?

Also, it looks like there may be a setting which has somehow disabled internet access for extensions.
Launch the Registry Editor:
For Windows XP, choose Start > Run and type regedit then press return to open the registry editor, or...
For Windows 7/Vista, choose Start, type regedit, and press return when the registry editor appears in the results.
Look for the following key. If it's there, please tell us the value:
For 32-bit systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\AdobeOnlineDefault.
For 64-bit systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\AdobeOnlineDefault

Open the Apple Property List Editor (supplied with the Apple SKD) or other property list editor application..
Open the file [Startup Disk]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.AdobeOnlineHelp.plist.
Select Root to see the subentries.Locate the string object AdobeOnlineDefault, and tell us the value.

SLD to SMSY synchronization - Which product version do we have to choose ?

We do have a CPP system running on SAP ECC 6.0 version.
1. In SLD, we do have the list of all "Software Components" used in CDP.
We do not have the "PRODUCT VERSION" of the managed system.
2. With job SAP_SLD_DATA_COLLECT (RZ70), all data are sent from CDP (managed system) to SLD.
3. With LANDSCAPE FETCH job, all data are synchronized between SLD and SMSY.
Now, how can we choose the right "PRODUCT VERSION" to set in SMSY ?
As far as there is not "PRODUCT VERSION" defined in SLD, do we have to set manually a PRODUCT in SMSY ?
Is there any guide or OSS Notes which describe, step by step, the full workflow process synchronization
from (1) Managed System to (2) SLD to (3) SMSY ?

Hi,
As I have observed, when the data sync happens between SLD and SM system, the product versions are also assigned.
Sometimes, the product assigned through SLD sync may not be correct or may be irrelevant to your scenario,
In that case, you should always manually edit and assign the correct product version in SMSY, to avoid any conflicts arising in further setup of EWA, SMD setup etc.
For ECC 6.0, you can goto SMSY>systems>search for SAP ECC-->your system CPP/CDP should already be present under SAP ECC through SLD landscape fetch job.
Select that system, and in the header data tab u can see the Installed product versions.
There you can always change the relevant products for your systems.

Adobe customer portal site does not allow me to choose my product and coninue

How can I contact Adobe Support when I get the below screen with the continue button greyed out? It does not allow me to choose my own product "Captivate" or any other one.

I also have some more challenges:
When I email the support email address for Africa I get no response.
When I change my region to Africa it defaults back to USA.
I am in the process of buying a multi user licence for the entire Adobe suite for my company "MTN South Africa" and is concerend about the above in case we need support from Adobe. Using the USA server is incredibly slow and we waste a lot of time opening the forums, knowlege base etc. I just timed it by clicking on the "support" link and it takes 26 secpnds to open. You can imagine wating half a minute when you navigate through the forumes, help files. support etc.

Question: Does the Office Home & Business 2013 Outlook work properly with Exchange Online Plan 1? (are there limitations?)
As a farm dealership needing 44 licenses (very light Office product use except email), I'm struggling with the sustaining cost of Office365 Bus Prem. I've pretty much settled on buying Outlook 2013 instead of any subscription models. Office Home
and Business list price is $219 making a one time purchase cost $9639. I can do that once. (O365BP is $7,920 annual). Outlook 2013 stand-a-lone will run me around $3500 once plus $2112 annual. I'd really like the full office package. I wish
