CIF blocks with multiple R/3 systems

Hi,
      We are in SCM V5 and we have two R/3 systems connected to one APO system. Theya re two different BSGs, with totally different integration models as well.
We are using APO outbound queues for both the R/3 systems.
The question is, does a CIF block from one R/3 system block the order from other R/3 system?
Example:
I have a planned order PO1 created in APO that is bound to go to R/3 system R1. This order is now stuck in SMQ1 in APO.
I create another planned order PO2 that is bound to go to other R/3 system R2 from the same APO system.
Does the PO1 block PO2?? or are they separate?
I would appreciate if you can substantiate that with some reference.

I have not seen such a configuration myself offlate, but based on theoretical knowledge one outbound queue block to one R3 system should not interfere with another outbound queue to another R3 system. The queues are RFC destination specific. INtegration models are also specific to a destination R3 system. However there may be elements that are common - mostly BASIS level settings. Not sure if it interferes with the application.

  • When closing 2 windows(with multiple tabs each), system restore does not properly restore the second window's tabs. Is this a bug in the new update/any ideas to fix?

    I regularly use 2 windows with multiple tabs each and session restore would work to get them all back, but after this latest update the second window does not restore properly, with the first tab not visible on top(only in drop down menu) and the add a tab button now on the left(instead of right). The add a tab button is not really concerning other than it indicates other problems with the tabs on tab of the 2nd window. Not having the 1st tab visible is frustrating, because I can not move it or as easily navigate. Also, the tabs on top of the 2nd window that are visible no longer have the "x" to close visible unless that tab is selected. I'm assuming this is a problem with the new release/update, since this is the first time I've ever encountered the problem, and I've shut down and restored Firefox a few times to make sure this was a recurring problem and not a one-time deal. Any ideas on how to fix would be welcome(other than perhaps cramming my tabs onto one window or sucking it up XD).

  • Database block with multiples images

    Hi,
    I have a database block with 5 image items for each record (all database items too).
    Block property "number of record displayed"=6....so I have 30 image item into the canvas. But when runs forms..only show me 1 image for each record (last image item of block!!)
    Someone could help me?
    I user for development environment:

    -Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0

  • JMS to communicate with multiple 3rd party systems

    Hi,
    I'm fairly new to JMS and I need to build a system where I communicate with several third party systems through JMS.
    Basically what I need is some sort of synchronous message system, as I need the result to display on my webpage.
    In this scenario, I was wondering what is the most common design here, in terms of queues or topics.
    Would it be normal for each system to have a input and output queue, or is it more practical that I provide a outbound topic and an inbouw queue that these systems could use?
    I know how I can set this up, but I just wanted to ask if it is normal practice to ask a third party to connect to your own JMS system, rather than connecting to their queue/topic?

  • Block with multiple records

    hi every one
    i've developed a form containing a multiple record block. i need that some functions to be done before i commit it.
    1. its primary key should b auto generated, usually i handle it by selecting max value(primary key field) from data base and adding one but in this case it wont work bcoz it wont go to database before i commit it. so it wont auto generate it.
    2. second problem is that there are some fields that must b filled but it should prompt the user to enter required fields when he press commit button.

    Have you considered creating a sequence object for the primary key. If the datatype of the primary key is NUMBER then a sequence will auto generate the next value if you placed (:your_sequence.next_val) into the dafault value property of the text item.
    The second problem can be overcome by writing a When-Validate-Item trigger whereby the user will be prompted to the item that contained the required field that was not entered. You should however note that if a coulmn in your table is of the NOT NULL type then the form default behavior is to prompt user to enter the field.

    We currently have a legacy TDM ACD system used by the Call Centre running alongside CUCM 8.5 which is used by back office and admin staff.
    When we implemented the Call Manager we configured all our access ports with the Voice VLAN to make any office moves and changes straight forward, regardless of whether or not the position would have a Cisco phone i.e. a cisco phone could be plugged into any floor port throughout the building and it would register.
    Currently I am in the planning stages of replacing the legacy ACD system with Avaya Aura which will be running side by side with CUCM. My concern is that every time there are office moves, the access ports are going to have to be reconfigured to the Voice VLAN of the relevant system depending on which type of phone is at that desk.
    Has anyone had similar experiences and found a solution?

    It's just a VLAN. Don't sweat it, stick them all in the same one. Nothing will explode.
    Each phone system will have it's own way of locating the call processor.
    CUCM = DHCP Option 150
    Mitel = Some other DHCP option (128-130, and some others)
    Avaya = DHCP option 176
    etc...
    So you can set all these on your scope, and each phone type will find it's server...

  • Multiple Blocks with multiple masters...

    Hello to all!
    Dear(s) i have a form which contain two data blocks say block1 and block2.
    block 1 contain columns CLASSCODE(class table),TEACHERCODE(class table),DATE(studentattendance table)
    The block2 contain columns Rollno(studentattendance table),NAME(student table),Attendance(studentattendance table).
    Now problem is that when i base the block1 on CLASS table and block 2 on the STUDENT & STUNDENTATTENDANCE table where teacher code of STUDENT table reference the CLASS table's teachercode (in block1) and the rollno bases on the studentattendance table and reference the rollno of STUDEN table(in order to make a relationship where class is the master table of student and then the student is the master of the studentattendance table).
    Now, the problem is that when i use layout wizard for block2 and set tyhe layout style and No.of record display 4 and after running the form when i enter classcode the result is not exactly what i need.I mean the name which directly reference the classcode via teachercode display four record but the rollno and attendance which reference the student table display one records and when i move into the next record of student table the corresponding rollno display in the same field where the previous one was displaying.

    My Problem : WITH KEYBOARD,If i'm in SECOND RECORD and try press the button with access key, IT IS PRESSING FIRST RECORD'S BUTTON.
    how can i press the second record's button with keyboard ?
    (I tryed the properties,giving like keyboard navigable =yes,mouse navigable =yes and it is not working).

    I tried to acheive same using set_item_instance_property, but found one bug in forms,
    " you can not set item_instance of button" Bug : 804092,
    rather you keep push button in seperate block [control block] and do little programming to display list of values,if your lov is based on current record value, form dynamic record group and populate list.

  • Creating a system in portal with multiple instances of backend sys

    Hi all,
             I am creating a system in the portal to my backend system(ECC6.0 with integrated ITS).I had a multiple instance backend system.The 2 instances are on two different boxes .The 2 instances have different ip addresses and hostnames.At a time only one instance will be active.We have a virtual ip and hostname for the Central instance.
    In this case how to create the system so that the portal can switch from one instance to other while it is changed at the backend.
    The major issue is how to fill the ITS properties while creating the system.Which hostname I have to give.
    First instance hostname : eccprd1.XXXXXX.com
    Second instance hostname :eccprd2.XXXXXX.com
    Vitual hostname of central instance : eccsap.XXXXX.com
    Any suggestions please.

    Last week I helped a customer use MDT2010 to deploy Windows 7 to ThinkStation systems with multiple hard drives.  The customer has multiple HDDs in the system and wants Windows to be installed to the HDD that is connected to SATA port 1.  Unfortunately Windows does not always assign "Disk 0" to the HDD on SATA port 1 - in fact it is completely random what disk ID gets assigned to which SATA port.  The bug is documented by Microsoft in KB937251:

    MDT2010 uses hard-coded disk IDs (0, 1, 2, etc) to specify where Windows gets installed.  And because of the bug, sometimes Windows gets installed to the HDD on SATA port 1 and sometimes it gets installed to a different HDD.
    The solution is to install Windows to the HDD identified by the "SELECT DISK SYSTEM" command of DISKPART.  This will always return the disk that is connected to the lowest SATA port.
    To configure this in MDT2010, use the following steps (refer to the attachment):
    1. copy "FormatPartition.txt" and "SystemDisk.vbs" to your Scripts folder in the Deployment Share. 
    2. in your Task Sequence, disable the existing step called "Format and Partition Disk" (see TaskSequence.jpg)
    3. create a new step at the same location called "Format and Partition Disk (custom)". The type is "General -> Run Command Line". The command line is " cmd.exe /c "diskpart /s %SCRIPTROOT%\FormatPartition.txt" "
    4. on the main screen for Deployment Workbench, right-click on the Deployment Share and select "properties", then click on the "rules" tab
    5. under section [Default], add the following entries (see Rules.jpg)
        - UserExit=SystemDisk.vbs
        - DestinationDisk=#DiskID#
        - DestinationPartition=1

  • Multiple CRM system with one R/3 system, possible?

    Dear all,
    I wanna see if multiple CRM systems can hook up to one R/3 system.  My hunch is that this is not possible, because information exists in table such as R/3 CRMKUNNR for BP data would not be able to distinguish which system an entry would need to send to for syncing. 
    Am I right?

    Hi,
    Well there is also the MDM (Master Data Management) application with SAP Netweaver. Which actually makes things a lot easier with a number of CRM installations with multiple R/3 instances.

    Solution
    You have the possibility to set a Global Parameter for setting the deletion
    scenario to overall array delete. In the following a description of the
    proceeding.
    Check if the global parameter GLOBAL_NO_DROP_INSERT exists
    and that it is set to 'X' in the receiver system.
    Call the Migration Server Overview(tcode cnv_mbt_tdms).
    Expand the tree until you get your package.
    Mark the package number so that it is highlighted.
    In the menu click on Goto->Global Parameter.
    When you have correctly positioned your cursor on a package number you
    will see in the application toolbar buttons named with the exection targets,
    system name and client number. You can also see if a connection to the listed
    system is working (checkmark) or not (lightning).
    Click on the button
    'RECEIVER' to get the global parameters from the receiver system. This is where
    the Global Parameter has to be set.
    The global parameter entries will be
    delivered empty and for the parameter you want to use you have to set the value.
    An initial global parameter has no value in the column 'Client'.
    Mark the row with the global parameter
    'GLOBAL_NO_DROP_INSERT'.
    Press button copy text (third button).
    In the menu bar click on the drop-down box of the insert button and choose
    the item 'Insert in new row' in the selection list (forth button from
    left).
    In column 'Client' enter the client where you want to use the overall
    scenario array-delete. If you enter the value 'ALL' then the setting is valid
    for all clients in the system.
    In the column 'Parameter Value (from)' enter the value 'X'.
    Save your settings.
    If the parameter already exist you have to check whether the correct
    client is set. If the column 'Client' includes the deletion client or the value
    'ALL' then no further settings are required. Otherwise you have to copy the
    Global Parameter as previously described and change the value in the column
    'Client' with your deletion client. Take care that the value in column
    'Parameter Value (from)' is 'X'.
    From now on the generation of deletion
    programs will use this information to create the deletion programs with deletion
    scenario ARRAY-DELETE.

  • How to install ADS for usage with multiple systems ?

    Good day,
    In our ERP6 System Landscape we have the usual DEV, TST and PRD systems. I have a request to setup ADS with interactive forms to be accessible from each of these systems. Am I right to assume I would need to install a Java Add-In with ADS on each system so each system can have it's own database source for data capture from the interactive forms ? There is no mention in the documentation of using multiple database sources on a single ADS configured system.
    Your suggestions and advice on this matter are greatly appreciated.

    you dont need any JAVA Addin install on your connected Systems (HR, eRec, ECC or whatever)
    You just need the RFC from ABAP (lets say ECC) to your ADS (JAVA)
    you can connect as many Systems as you like. But also check SAP Note #1133230
    We actually have a 2 TIER Landscape Only. ADS-DEV and ADS-PROD. All Development and Quality Systems (HR, eRec, ECC, BW, XI, SolMan) are connected to ADS-DEV. All Production SAP Systems are connected to our ADS-PROD

  • UWL substitution with multiple systems

    Hi all,
    I need some help in understanding how an UWL substitution works with multiple systems.
    We are using ESS, MSS and SRM workflows and use UWL for all workflow scenarios.
    All users are using ESS, all managers are using ESS, MSS and SRM.
    In the UWL configuration we defined a role base connection to the backend systems. ESS users can only make a UWL connection to R/3 and not to SRM, manager can make a connection to all systems.
    The problem occurs when a manager assign an other user (not a manager) to manage his of her tasks in case of absence. Because the manager also has the rights to make a connection to the SRM system, the UWL tries now to make this connection with this delegated user. Because the user has no rights to make a connection to SRM an error is generated and no tasks at all are displayed in the user’s inbox.
    If we grant the user right to make a connection to the SRM system, also an error is generated because this user has no user account on SRM.
    Is this a normal behaviour, we only want the user to manage all the managers tasks on R/3 and not on SRM because he/she has no authorisation to do so.

    I think this will require a separate development as I feel the forwardind table HRUs_D2 stores only user Id and if you need to set som Personnel number as substitution then the devt. should take care whether any user Id is attached to the the PERNR and then set the substitution.
