1. Go to report form in change mode,
2. Follow path Extras -> Drill down Displays -> Select rows/column
3.you see that column and rows selected then deselect column with icon and select again all columns with same icon.
4. Then save the selections.
5. Save the form.
Execute the report it will show you desired result.Attach screen shot which I replicate in test client; though the column is at end with heading as 2013.

Thanks Abhijit , I can now see my report group at the bottom of the list .I assigned you full points.I posted another question regarding report painter .If you could also give me some guidance on that. When I was creating rows and updating cost elements with account numbers.I set up 3 revenue accounts and then ran the report to see if I get any data for profit centers.I did get data but when I double clicked on one of the account,it displays this messsage.I read the msg. but could not make any sense with it.for example in definning row I put account number from/to  400000- 400000    Explode. and thats a characteristic.
No valid master data for characteristic 'Account Number'
Report MEG1 does not contain any data pages.
No valid master data for characteristic 'Account Number'
    Message no. GR633
    Diagnosis
No valid master data within the specified interval was found for the characteristic 'Account Number'.
    Explanation:
For each characteristic that is processed in a report, the Report Writer optimizes the interval limits which are relevant for selecting data from the database.
    Example:
A report contains the characteristic 'account', for which an account interval from 100000 to 200000 has been entered.  However, if the master data validation shows that the lowest/highest account in this interval is 110000/190000, the selection will be limited to accounts 110000 to 190000 only.
The system returns this error message if no master data exists for the interval.
This error is typically caused by an invalid version.  In FI-SL Special Purpose Ledger, for example, versions are assigned to the ledger and are defined in configuration.  The report definition can then contain a non-defined version.  A similar situation applies to controlling (cost center accounting): here, versions are assigned to the controlling area and fiscal year and can be defined in planning.
Another cause of this error is a ledger that is not assigned to the table for which the report was created.
    Technical information:
The field name for 'Account Number' is 'RACCT'.
    System Response
    The system cancels processing.
    Procedure
Check the report definition, or the specified master data, or the intervals.

    Shaun

  • Report Painter for Funds Management

    Hi all,
I try to develop a budget vs actual report through report painter (tcode: FMEN and FMEK).
The problem is when execute the report, there is no budget data, just actual data and variance.
When create the form, I used key figure :
    1. Annual budget (current) in FM area crcy with debit type=3 (expenditures), budget version=0
    2. Commitments/actuals (PB) in FMAC with value type=66 (profit transfer postings) and 54 (invoice) --> I used the actual from the invoice.
    3. Formula: actual - budget
Is there something wrong when define the key figure of budget data?
    Many helps.
    Thanks

    Hi,
The library (4FM) is based on availability control tables; therefore, only commitment items where either budget or posting is registered will be presented. Define correctly the parameters within the selection making emphasis on record type and ledger - it should do the work for you.

  • How to select WBS element of Level2 on Report Painter

    Dear PS Masters.
I made project which has 3 levels.
I want to see the result of only level 2
on the report of report painter.
However, when I select WBS element of level 2,
the report shows level2 and level3 together.
So, I want to exclude the result of level3 from the report.
    In order to solve it,
I tried to uncheck the checkbox of "INCL.HIERARCHY" on Database Profile.
But, even though I uncheck it on IMG, SAP check the checkbox automatically again.
    Pls give your advice.

  • Create new report in report painter

    Hi
Can any body let me know the steps for creating new report in report painter.
    Thanks in advance
    Prasad

    Hi Hari,
Please find below mentioned and overview on report painter and its usage.
The Report Painter is similar to the Report Writer, but is simpler to use. Most of the functions in the Report Writer are also available in the Report Painter. The Report Painter is based on the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) principle.
    Report Painter Structure:
Characteristics must be defined in your report, either as data selection criteria, report rows, or report columns. To improve processing time, you should specify all characteristics in general data selection that are not needed in the report rows or columns.
The process flow used for creating reports using report painter can be summarised as following.
    Create set->Select library->Define report->Check report->Assign report to report group->Generate report->Execute report
Hope i had been of help to you, please reward points.

  • Re: Report Painter Diff. formula in same column.

    Hi,
I have some queries for report painter.
I have 2 columns, A & B. I've created column C and the first 5 row I would like to have a set of formula such as A10 and for the same column, the row 6 to 10 from column B, I want to have formulate B5-10.
My question is, whether it's posible to have 2 formula defined in the same column because value for each row may need to apply the formula differently.
    Thx & Rgds

You can do this, although you need to split the columns into "Sections".  You also need to remove the column headers so they are not repeated between each section.
They almost act similar to a page break, without actually breaking the column over pages.

You can then have different calculated key figures within the same column.
To amend sections, go to Formatting > Section Overview/Section Layout.

  • Create transaction code for CJE0  report

    Dear friend:
Who's know  how to create transaction code for CJE0  report.

    Hi,
Alternatively, you can try adding anew entry to your menu area in development (SE43N), creating a subnode, selecting the report as your option and provide the information. Do not forget to give your own transaction name. I'm quite sure, that in this case (if you will transport this together with the report), it should work.
    Regards,
    Eli
P.S. I know that program names changes when it's about a writer/painter report. Is it really the same thing with CJE0 reports?

  • Process/stpes to modify the report painter reports...

    Hi,
I want to modify the report painter report. Could anybody tell me how can we do this. Where can we do this and it would be helpful if any body advise with the steps.
The requirement is to add one line in the current report painter report and remove one line from it.
    Regards....

    Hi,
Modifying a report painter report is very similar to creating the report itself. Below mentioned are the steps in general, please use them as per your requirement.
From the relevant application, choose Tools->Report Painter->Report->Create.
The Report Painter: Create Report screen appears.
You can also create Report Painter reports from any Report Writer screen. To do so, choose Report Writer->Report Painter-> Create report.
Enter the name of the library the report is to use, and a name and description for the report. The report name can be a maximum of eight characters long. If you want to create your report using an existing Report Painter report as a basis, enter the name of the report that you want to copy under Copy from. Both reports must use the same library.
Choose Create. The next screen displays an empty report containing four rows and four columns (this is the basic structure for a report). You define your report on this screen.
Enter or change the description for the report by double-clicking the report description field.
A dialog box appears in which you can enter a short, medium, and long text for the report description.
Define the rows of your report.Rows contain a combination of characteristic values or formulas. Note the lead column at the first position of the rows. The Report Painter uses the lead column to access the rows. You can replace the description Lead column with a different term.
Define the columns of your report. Columns contain a combination of a basic key figure and optional restricting characteristic values. You can also use predefined key figures to present key figures and characteristics that make business sense. For example, a number of predefined key figures are delivered for the libraries in Overhead Cost Controlling that can be copied directly into the reports, where they can be modified as required.
Define general data selection criteria. The general data selection criteria restrict data selection for the report.
Choose Save and then Execute to create the report. Assign the report to a report group.
You have to display the report before you execute it, so that you can later change the report layout directly from the report list. Once you have defined a report, you can display and print out a table of contents with Extras->Overview.
The overview contains the characteristics and characteristic values used in the individual sections, column blocks, and general data selection criteria. It also provides general information such as the user who last changed the report, the report name, and the standard layout assigned to the report, as well as details on the report formats.
If you double-click an individual characteristic, you can see where this characteristic is used in the report definition.
Hope this helps you. Let me know if you need an specific information.

    Hello Chinasammy,
Report Painter allows you to create reports using data from SAP application components, which you can adapt to meet your individual requirements.
Many of your reporting requirements can already be met by using the standard reports provided by various SAP application components. If these SAP standard reports do not meet your reporting needs, Report Painter enables you to define your specific reports quickly and easily.
When executing a Report Painter report, it is displayed by the system in Report Writer format. You thus have access to the same functions as for Report Writer reports defined in the same way, and can combine Report Painter and Report Writer reports together in a report group.
Report Painter uses a graphical report structure, which forms the basis for your report definition and displays the rows and columns as they appear in the final report output.
To facilitate report definition, you can use many of the standard reporting objects provided by SAP (such as libraries, row/column models, and standard layouts) in your own specific reports. When you define a Report Painter report you can use groups (sets). You can also enter characteristic values directly.
    Advantages of Report Painter include:
    Flexible and simple report definition
    Report definition without using sets
Direct layout control: The rows and columns are displayed in the report definition as they appear in the final report output, making test runs unnecessary.
    =============================================
Below mentioned is the process for creating reports using Report Painter as a tool.
Selecting and maintaining a library for your report: As the transfer structure to Report Painter you use a report table, which is defaulted by SAP and can not be maintained. This table contains characteristics, key figures and predefined columns. In a library, you collect the characteristics, key figures, and predefined columns from the report table, which you need for your Report Painter reports.
When you define a Report Painter report, you assign it to a library. Reports assigned to one library can only use the characteristics, key figures, and predefined columns selected for that library.
When you create or maintain a library, the Position field determines the sequence in which the characteristics, key figures or (predefined) key figures appear in the Report Painter selection lists when you define a report. This allows you to position the objects that you use regularly in your reports at the beginning of the selection lists. If you do not make an entry in the Position field, you will not be able to use this object in Report Painter reports.
You can use either the standard SAP libraries for your reports or define your own.
(ii) Selecting or maintaining a standard layout for your report: Standard layouts determine report layout features and the format of your report data.If the SAP standard layouts do not meet your reporting requirements, you can create a new  standard layout or change an existing one.
(iii) Defining row and column models: A model is a one-dimensional, predefined reporting structure that you can insert in either the rows or columns of your report. If you often use the same or similar row or column definitions in your reports, it is recommended that you create row or column models.
You must define the row and/or column models that you want to include in your report definition before you define the report.
You can also use the standard column models supplied by SAP.
(iv) Defining the report: Defining a Report Painter report involves the following steps.
    (a) Define the report columns: You define the report columns using the characteristics, key figures, and predefined columns selected for the library that the report uses. Alternatively, you can use a column model for column definition. Column models are predefined column structures which you insert into your entire column definition, instead of defining each individual column.
    (b) Define the report rows: You define the report rows using the characteristics selected for the library selected for the report.
Alternatively, you can use a row model for your row definition. Row models serve the same purpose as column models, but are used to define a report row.
Edit and format the report rows and columns in line with your requirements. (For example, you can hide rows or columns, define the column width or define colors for your report rows).
(iii)Define general data selection criteria for the selection of your report data: Selection criteria are the characteristics used to select data for the entire report. You cannot enter characteristics as data selection criteria if they are already being used in the report rows or columns.
(iv) Assigning the report to a report group: Once you have defined a report, you must assign it to a report group. A report group can contain one or more reports from the same library. However, reports that share the same data will select data more quickly and improve processing time.
Hopw this helps you. Please let me know if you need anything more and assign points.

  • Changing header in report painter

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to change the header(column). I am using the global variable &5PY(Period/Year) in the characterictics value. So it displays an output like 06.2008. But the client needs this to be displayed as June 2008.
Kindly help me out with this.
    Regards,
    Karthik

In report painter you can select variouselements based on which the data will be pulled. I haven't seen any report painter with two header lines and don't think report painter allows that. But for your requirement I believe you can select the periods in the header line itself.
