Client managed eCommerce Shopping Cart

I am attempting to create my first website projects using Adobe BC. I have two client projects both requiring shopping cart functionality 1.) I will manage product inventory and 2.) the second client has strong interest in being able to upload and change product items on their own. This client has also inquired about product upload automation.
Originally being a designer and not a programmer, I myself am finding it somewhat difficult to create and configure a shopping cart solution for these clients Using Adobe BC as opposed to using a hosted template based cart system such as BigCommerce, Godaddy, Shopify, etc.
My questions is, once the site has been created and published on BC, is there a product module in BC that will allow my client the ability to easily upload and change or update pricing and general specs for the products in their shopping cart -or- will the client need to know html, CSS and javascript in order to manage the products in their own shopping cart.
Constructive feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you have the eCommerce plan you have the full access to the admin for the client. The admin like many CMS's has full control on products, catalogs, CRM and more. IF you build the site well the client never has to do or touch anything html, css or javascript.
The product side has a full stock, order, invoice management etc ...

  • One Step Workflow Activation for Shopping cart in SRM 7.0

    Dear Experts,
    On working to EXtended Classic Scenario, I need to configure one step approval for shopping cart in SRM 7.0.
    Currently it is providing me Auto Approval  by default and based on it PO is being created. I need one-level manager approval  shopping cart.
    I am working in Demo System of Extended Classic Scenario, I need only one step approval SC without any condition.
    Kindly tell me the configuration steps in SRM and please tell me one more thing is there  any need of  BADI or other coding for one-step approval?

    As per your comment when i am tring to activate /SAPSRM/C_SC_600_001_SP04  by t-code SCPR20, But It shows me a information pop up Maintain the client role and then Activation is Cancelled.
    Kindly tell me what i am missing or any other prerequisite step to do for this BC Set Activation.

    I was askec to create a program that changes the owner of a shopping cart and purchase order in SRM.
    It happens that the person who created the shopping cart or purchase order is leaving the company and someone else is going to manage his shopping carts and purchase orders.
    How to I assign the shopping cart or purchase order to someone else.
    Is there any BAPI or transaction.. ?

    I would like to create a completely self-contained shopping cart and embed it in the pages of my website as created in MUSE.  Using the PayPal widgets in MUSE don't quite woe as they require me to manage the shopping cart on PayPal which forces a lot of flipping back and forth between PayPal.com and my web site.
    Does anyone have any experience with shopping cart creation software that creates an output that can be embedded in MUSE much the same way externally developed HTML can be embedded in a MUSE page?  I know there are a number of packages and hosted services that do this for PC and Mac, but what I'm looking for is a piece of software that can run on the Mac platform and allow me to host and manage my store (and the related inventory content) and website on my server with only one-time checkout calls to PayPal.  I don't want to host my store on someone else's server.

  • Disable availability check in UWL on rejecting shopping cart

    Dear all,
    We are using SRM 7.0 and the portal in an approval workflow for shopping carts. On ECC side we create reservations for stock - materials.
    Now we have the problem that in the UWL a availability check is started when the user approves or rejects the shopping cart. This is a problem when he wants to reject a shopping cart, which has been created some time ago and the articles aren't available anymore. In this case an error message is shown:
    /sapsrm/cx_pdo_error Document check returned at least one error message.  The action can not be carried out. For more details, see message area Availability check for 05.01.2011:                   7 ST. Lead time for                  30 ST: 14.01.2011. Availability check for 05.01.2011:                   7 ST. Lead time for                  30 ST: 14.01.2011.
    How can we disable this availability check on approving and/or rejecting shopping carts?

    In the portal the UWL is mapped to the Workflow so you may be in a position to adjust the Business Workflow for your situation. Have a chat to yoru ABAP'ers or SRM/Workflow specialists in your company.
    Just a question. Is there any reason why you cannot manage the shopping cart and remove the entries in error then reject it? It may well have been that those entries cannot be rejected because they have already been issued/receipted/invoiced - again this depends on the status of the W/F for the specific cart. I would imagine if you outright disabled the approval check your situatation will bring other challenges.

  • Shopping Cart Commitment in Funds Managment

    Hello Gurus,
    We are having an issue to update Shopping Cart Commitment in Funds Management. We are having SRM 702 with classic scenario active. Is it possible to post a shopping cart commitment in FM (ECC) without activating Business Function SRM, Procurement for Public Sector (SRM_PUBLIC_SECTOR_1) and SRM, Cross-Industry Functions (SRM_CROSS_INDUSTRY_1) and without Extended classic scenario.
    When we activated those Business Function in one of our systems then it has some after affect on the existing functionality like Account Assignment Tab disappears in the Shopping Cart.
    Also we are using shopping cart only for Non Stock PO and rest of the shopping cart gets triggered as a result og PR in ECC system.
    It is not possible for us to switch on Extended Classic Scenario as client is not agreeing on the same.
    Please share the views if anybody has worked on SRM with Funds Management.

    You will have to manage on your own SC commitment in FM.

  • Shopping cart not emitted to the right manager cause change unit

    We did a shopping cart , unfortunately the manager assigned is not the good one , the status is 'Awaiting approval' ,the requester is not linked to  the same unit of  the manager's one.
    We would like to redirect his shopping cart  towards the good manager linked at least to a different unit.
    The requester has changed unit.
    Is it possible for a given manager not related directly to the requester to redirect the shopping cart  he is not the recipient to another manager in his own workplace.

    If you are using a BAdI - BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI then incase if your workflow doesn't find any approver, you can append APPROVAL_ADMINISTRATORS table.
    In this way, you are direct your SC to administator's approval.
    Your code will like this -

    if no approver found because send sc to default administrator
    ls_approver-approval_index = actual_approval_index.
              ls_approver-approval_agent = 'USMAHMOUD'.

    Click Start Enterprise Buyer Inbox link and then Click Approve icon for a shopping cart.
    The following errors displayed

  • Org management (integration with SAP ECC 6) and shopping cart approval

    Background:
    We currently use EBP 3.0 - Classic Scenario.
    Our current Organisational plan was manually created in EBP, and is not the same as the HR hierarchy in SAP ECC 6
    Shopping cart approvals use the workflow WS10000276 u2013 Approval Single Level over Limit, which utilises the SLAPPROVER attribute. The user name assigned to the SLAPPROVER attribute does not have to be the manager of the user. To meet our Business requirements, a fairly flat structure was created at the time we implemented EBP 3.0. The approval level an approver is allowed to approve up to is controlled with the use of roles assigned to a user.  Each of the approval roles has an appropriate value set against the BBP_APPROVAL_LIMIT attribute under Personalisation.

    We are just about to move from EBP 3.0 to SRM 7.0 u2013 Classic Scenario - by carrying out a new installation.
    Our Business requirement has changed, in that they want the approval of shopping carts to be carried out by the line manager, if that person can approve the value of the shopping cart. If not, for the approval to go up the HR hierarch until a manager with a suitable level of approval is found.
    I believe it is possible to create the Organisational structure in SRM from the HR hierarchy in SAP ECC 6. I have tried to do this in our play/test system using - Integration Business Partner-Organizational Management, without much success as yet!
    I have a few questions in this area:
    1.     Not all of the users in the SAP ECC 6 HR hierarchy will be SRM users. E.g. In the SAP
                 hierarchy there are 3 users u2013 User A, User B and User C. User B is the manager of User
                 A and User C is the manager of user B. In SRM only User A and User C are users. That
                 being the case, is it still possible to initially create the organisational in SRM from SAP ECC6?
    2.     If it is possible to create the organisational structure as described, then using Process
                 Controlled Workflow we could use the Shopping Cart BC Set One-step manager approval.
         If we did this, what would be the best way to incorporate the approval limit of a manager?
         Can this be simply achieved by setting the BBP_APPROVAL_LIMIT attribute in conjunction
                 with the One step manager approval?
         We want to avoid having to use the SLAPPROVER attribute due to the high level of
                 maintenance we currently experience.

    I've found the tags to display the shopping cart summary elsewhere on the site, so I know there's a way to display the total, but I can't figure out a way to fill in the required "Amount" field in the eCommerce form used to process payments. I'd like that "Amount" field to be filled in automatically using the total in the shopping cart. Can anyone help? Thanks!

    You can use the shopping cart summary tag with custom layout.
    Here's the sample:

    Inside the shopping cart summary custom layout is a tag for total amount:

    This is not answer. Just feedback from my project experience.
    I know some customer developed this kind of report which shows approver but they used the report only the first 1 month after go live. Approval monitoring was fun but you need someone who monitor it. Finally they realized high monitoring admin cost. Final solution was Alert Notification with BBP_ALERTING BADI which sends email to approver and admin when deadline is reached.

    application monitor via WEB.
    Shopping cart Error log:-
    Shopping cart :- backend application errors
    Shopping cart :- Not transfered to backend
    sc xxxx follow on docuemnt(s) not transfered.
    Shopping cart :- Spooler commuication errors
    Shopping cart :- Local errors
    Really SC xxx has created a follow on docuemnts . why still srm system shows and it misleads others. sc xxxx follow on docuemnt(s) not transfered.
    Why once the error SC resolved and follow on docuemnts created  , automaticlly error log deletes right.. why it is not happening some time. Should we manualy delete these errors?
    What is the best practice you guys followed and clear these error?

    seems we two guys are the only ones with webmonitor problems
    but my situation is different than yours - the webmonitor tells me real errors. I am only investigating to get the system going automatically to transfer shopping carts later on, when SM12 locks in backend are off - like I state in:

  • Debugging Shopping Cart / Floor Plan Manager

    I am trying to debug the shopping cart in SRM 7. In step 2 there is a button 'check' and I am looking for the eventhandler  of this event. In the floorplanmanager i found out that the component in this step is /sapsrm/wdc_sc_wz_gaf_2st. In the component controller of this component I find the expected method 'PROCESS EVENT' but without coding.
    Can anybody help me how to find the handler of this event. I also would like to know how to find the coding when you press the button 'next step'.
    Any help is very much appreciated.

    set a breakpoint in the include (via SE38) CL_WDR_WINDOW_PHASE_MODEL=====CM009 (in our system it's a line 103):
    cl_wdr_rec_plugin_manager=>on_before_action_fire( l_action ).      <<<< set a breakpoint here
            l_action->fire( ).
              check me->root_component->is_deleted = abap_false.
            me->root_component->do_after_action( ).
    For this you will need external debugging in system debugging mode.
    If this doesn't work somehow, there is also an easier way to find the handler:
    - SE24 -> CL_WDR_ACTION -> set a breakpoint at the method 'IF_WDR_ACTION~FIRE'. With this breakpoint you will be stopped at each user action, and you can see in the callstack the methods which were called.

  • SRM7 shopping cart item clipboard management - how to delete/remove

    In SRM 7.0, after adding a shopping cart item, in "Item Overview" you can use button "Copy" to "Copy selected item to clipboard".   If there is an item stored in clipboard, the button "Paste" is enabled and user can "Paste clipboard contents".
    My question is how to delete the clipboard content in "Item Overview"?  Unlike clipboard in "Account Assignment", there is a button for user to delete clipboard content.
