  • Dispute case against closed invoice / without invoice reference

    Dear experts,
We are currently implementing SAP and FSCM in an EMEA enviroment and one of the issues we are encountering with FSCM is that you can't (according to my advisors) raise a dispute case within FSCM against an invoice that has already been paid. Also you can't raise a dispute case for a dispute that has no invoice reference.
So the question is simple: is this correct? For me this is a surprise and a minus as we have frequent cases where customers raise a dispute against a closed invoice without deducting or having the possibility to deduct (inactive account) the disputed balance.
If this is the case are there any other options to raise a dispute and track and report on it?
Thank you very much for your input.
    Kind regards,
    Nico

Hi Nico, there is an option to raise disputes over paid invoices: Customer disputed objects.
This functionality was released with Ehp2, and has some differences with the traditional Disputed objects, for example, there is no process integration available.

  • Auto closing of dispute cases--only for some company codes

    Hi
We have activated dispute management for several company codes in our system. The auto closing of dispute cases also has been activated in status management. Cases are automatically closed by the system (through a batch job) when the last disputed object is cleared.
Now there is a requirement to deactivate auto closing only for some company codes. They want to close cases manually in these company codes.
Is this possible and if so how?
    Regards
    Raj.

You cannot deselect at a company code level.
Can we go through you proposed process.
So you have a dispute for $100.
The customer pays it and the dispute closes.
Then the customer calls up and says they have an issue with the invoice they paid previously.
I have seen this happen before but there was a little twist
1 - The customer raised a debit note against the client for the issue that they had. The original invoice is cleared but a debit note is created and then disputed and processed. So you can close the original dispute and create a new dispute against the debit note
2 - The customer paid the wrong invoice. The dispute was closed. However to rectify the miss allocation the clearing document will be reversed meaning the dispute is "re-opened" and can be processed.
I am unaware of any other requirement for a customer to "re-dispute" a paid item in SAP.

  • FSCM- Dispute cases were not closed automatically for credit disputed amounts

    Dear All,
We are creating the dispute cases for overpayment or un-applied cash payments (that is credit document) through FDM_AUTO_CREATE. But those credit dispute cases were not closed automatically after I cleared the documents through F-26 or F-32.
We are running FDM_PROCESS_BUFFER program through batch job for every hour. And we made correct configuration for automatic dispute case close in SPRO. Also the debit disputes were closed automatically.
Especially we are facing this issue for credit special g/l transaction (partial/residual/charge of difference clearing) documents.
Note : I can see two changes automatically in credit dispute cases these are, 1) Disputed amount get zero 2) Disputed objects (that is credit document) is automatically removed (Attributes => Linked Objects => Disputed Objects) in the credit dispute cases
Can you please help me how to resolve this issue.
    Thank you in advance.
    Thanks & Regards,
    KVP

    Dear Experts,
Can I have solution for this issue.

  • How to relate dispute case for a AR document

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to change the reason code change date of dispute case(DIspute management) for the related AR document.
Basically i am posting a AR document through BAPI. Now i wanted to take the last dunned date(MADAT) and find the related dispute case after that change the reason code change date using last dunned date.
so my question how to relate relevent dispute case for the AR document?
    Thanks advance.

    Radhakrishna.

    Hi.............
Better and simplest way you can get it through a simple qury report. Create a query by joining two tables ODLN and OINV. OINV's docdate means the closing date of delivery challan.

  • FSCM-DM: Status of Dispute Case does not change

    Hi,
I'm facing a problem where i have a few dispute cases created in my worklist and, some of the invoices that are associated with the dispute case, are already paid.
The dispute case already disapear from "Dispute Case" tab but, when i check it again in the "Contact details" tab i notice that the status is still "In Process".
I customized my system like this:
    On status Management,
    SPRO=>Financial Supply Chain Management=>Dispute Management=>Dispute Case Processing=>Status Management=>Create Status Profile
Status   Status Discription SystemStatus System status discription
20            In Proces                                 002     In Process
    30           Confirmed                                008     Confirmed
    40           Closed                                     007     Closed
    50           Canceled                                 009     Voided/Deleted/Canceled
    And, in Process Integration
    SPRO=>Financial Supply Chain Management=>Dispute Management=>Dispute Case Processing=>Process Integration=>Define Automatic Status Changes
    Automatic reopen => 20
    Automatic Written of =>40
    Automatic closed => 40
Also, if i run the automatic written of program, no dispute case is considered.
    Test:
I have a test where i created an dispute case and aftwards i paid the invoice.
    Result:
The system generated an express mail requesting me to make a subsequent posting so i checked the SBWP transaction and i notice that there was an error and the system indicates to run the program FDM_PROCESS_BUFFER.
So, i run program FDM_PROCESS_BUFFER but i received the message that "Dispute Case 000000000222: Automatic close status 40 is not valid"
Thanks in advance for your inputs,

  • Dispute Case Delta load

    Hi
I am working on Dispute Management area. My requirement is to get all Dispute case attributes from SCMG_T_CASE_ATTR and UDMCASEATTR00 tables in ECC. I found two BI content extractors 0CSM_CASE_ATTR and 0DPM_DCAS_ATTR. These are delta enabled.
Issue: If Dispute case is modified multiple times in a day I am getting single record in the delta i.e. last change during the day. But I want to capture all the deltas into BI i.e. time to time changes during that day.
Is there any way to get all the changes to BI?
    Thanks for your help
    Sree

    hi,
is that your require ment that you would need all the changes that had happened for a particular dispute.
if yes then you need create a generic data source based on the tables involved.
normally if a dispute has been raised by a customer and we would only be intrested in the final closing of the sttaus at the end of the day whether its closed open etc...
sap has delivered the extractor based on this and you will standard busssiness contenet avialble under 0dpm in BI and standard queries.
    Thanks

  • Dispute case statuses

    hi,
can you please let me know the significances of the system statuses for dispute cases? like confirmed, i understand after this status, you cannot edit things anymore.

The status of a dispute should indicate where in the process chain the dispute is.
Ideally a process map is designed for processing and resolving disputes.
You may have a map as follows
1 - Dispute "created"  the dispute has been created
2 - Dispute "assigned"  an individual has been assigned to the dispute to process it
3 - Dispute "in processing" the individula has received the dispute and is working on it
4 - Dispute  "credit requested"  a credit has been requested
5 - Dispute  "credit raised" a credit has been raised - added to the dispute
6 - Dispute "no action required" a close status where no action is required - dispute is resolved
7 - Dispute "closed" customer has closed the dispute - items to be included in collectable amount
8 - Dispute "void" dispute was created incorrectly.
The above list is just a sample. You could use all of them, or just some of them, or even create new ones.
By having different statuses, it provides the user better information relating to the progress of the dispute, and enhances reporting.
    Hope this helps.

  • Outcome to dispute cases

Where can you customize the outcomes to dispute cases, for example> credit memo created, written off, etc.
    Thanks!

where would you expect to see this in the dispute case?
There is not a standard field for the outcome.
The root cause is the closed in my opinion.
You could look to have some new dispute statuses - so one for each type of closure you mentioned.

  • Re: Diff: Linkage of Credit memo and Dispute Case in EHP 4 and EHP5

    Dear Richard,
I'm facing same issue in my system.
I've already made the customization in my system but still i'm facing issue.
I'm not able to get credit in my dispute case. Could you please help me out.
Also help me to understand your below statement.
"And make sure the business adapts the correct process:  When you reverse a charge on a debit invoice you have to make sure the credit is properly linked to the debit note"
    Best Regards,
    Jain

Please note you have to perform the config - and then run the FOAP programs to attach and then match the credit to the dispute.
Please note the open item within the dispute will be cleared and a residual posted against the customer whilst clearing the credit note.

  • Diff: Linkage of Credit memo and Dispute Case in EHP 4 and EHP5

    Hi Experts
I am bit confused ...on the Linkage of Credit memo and Dispute Case in EHP 4 and EHP5.
Does the following statement is valid in EHP4 or EHP5.
"You can add a credit to a dispute to close it or reduce the amount disputed."
If it is possible in EHP 5 or EHP 4, please let me know what is the procedure to follow?
If i need to activate anything in SFW5, please provide what is the Business function i need to activate.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Meenkashi.N

Linking a credit note has nothing to do with EHP4 or 5. You have to do a config sertting:
Dispute Management-Process Integration with Accounts Receivable Accounting-Assignment of Open Credits and Payments-Activate Assignment of Open Credits and Payments
And make sure the business adapts the correct process:  When you reverse a charge on a debit invoice you have to make sure the credit is properly linked to the debit note.
If this is the case then the credit will show up in the dispute case.
    Rgds,
    Richard

    Friends,
when i go into the customer line item report (FBL5N) and click on a record it opens up a page where we see a button for 'Dispute Case'and i went there and changed the reason for case and saved it and came back to the fbl5n customer line item screen and checked the record against which i changed the reason for case, but it didnt changed the reasion on the record but when i go into the record and try to view it in additional details it shows me the one i have made changes. not able to understand why it is not showing in the list of line items when it is showing inside the record details that it has been changed, even i did refreshed it . Our end user wants to see the changed reason code on the line items page wich is on the AR side when we change the reason for case on the dispute side.
its kind of urgent please put some light onto it, any help would be highly appreciable...
    Thanks
    Jay

sounds like changing the ALE from system 1 to the other system.
However I doubt it will be that easy.
I believe that could should contact SAP SLO to work out the best route for data migration.

To disspell any doubts, SU53 shows the last failed auth check which the user invoked in a program, immediately before executing Su53. It is not necessarily the correct one to assign!

    > And this is way out from left field but I actually had this happen to me a week or two ago - double check the role and make sure that authorization is actually there. I had one pop where it showed an authorization that was an old version of the role but not in the current version.
    >
I assume by this that you are referring to profile name collisions. This has two common causes:
The SID ID's of PROD, QAS and DEV etc systems all have the same identical characters in the 1st and the 3rd place. Only these two are used in the generation of the profile name. Search for "AGR_NUM_2" for more infos and options.
Another (IMO more likely possibility) is that which SAP Note 1373111 describes in the reason codes of the FOR USER construct. The check might infact have been performed against a different user ID...
Please run the same with an ST01 trace on and check the reason code (if your kernel release is high enough).
Personally I am rather sceptical about this new mechanism in the wild. The old mechanism via FM AUTHORITY_CHECK at least gave us a where-usd-list and when jumping from the trace to the source it was clear what the developer had intended to do, even if they have already left the building...
    Cheers,
    Julius
