Closing Invoice for Downpayment Process

Hi Gurus,
We have a Business scenarion where in 50% has to be received befor delivery and 50% at the time of Invoice.
I am using Downpayment process:
After Config I am using FAZ document type and generate 50% of the amount through condition AZWR. I am using Billing Rule  4 and Date Description 0009
For the closing Invoice I am using Biling Rule 3 and Date Description 0008. I get the Full value of the invoice and not  the 50%.   Is this what is expected?
As per my understanding when I try to crate Final Invoice it should give only 50% because FAZ invoice has already been raised for 50%.
Could you please help me.
Regards
Sai

Hi,
Once you create FAZ you should process down payment request in FI via transaction code F-29. Now when you create a final/closing invoice you will get two line items one is for the full invoice amount and one for the downpayment already received.

  • Not able to cancel the Excise invoice for STO process

    Hi All,
In  STO process, we need to cancel the excise invoice due to some business requirement. When we tried to do the same in J1IH, it is not allowing us to do the same with the error "No item information transferred into Accounting". Tried the same through J1IS with the internal Doc No. Here the error is document is complete.
Please guide how to cancel the same.

    Hi,
STO has been created either through MM route or through SD-MM route.
In MM route, the process is as below,
You create PO, followed by MB1B (Transfer posting) , then followed by J1IS (Excise Invoice).
In SD-MM route the process is as below,
You create PO, followed by VL10B , then VF01, then followed by J1IIN (Excise Invoice from Factory).
Normally, when you create Excise Invoice through J1IIN, it is automatically released to Accounting.
In your case, I feel it has not yet been released to accounting and I hope, Excise Invoice has been created through J1IS.
In MM route, you need to release the Excise doc to Accounting.
In that case, you need to go for J1IV and release the same to accounting.
Find out the Internal document number from the Excise Invoice and with the reference of this Internal document number release it to Accounting through t.code J1IV.
Now, once it is released to accounting, you should be able to cancel it through J1IH or J1IS.
Please let me know if any further problem you are facing.

  • Using indicators other than "A/F" for Downpayment transaction F-37

Scenario-- We need a one -sided entry(noted items) where will send "invoice like" document to customer for the amount agreed in milestone related to contract(not exactly milestone functionality).
We want to use transaction Downpayment Payment F-37 For this but want to use a different set of Special indicators (e.g. J, T) to keep it separate from the special ind A,F which we use for the regular payment process.  having separate Sp G/L indicator will enable AR team to different the items for the Mile stone process.
There are also separate GL account involved for this special process.
I changed the available special GL incators-J,T. But when I changed the properties of the sp ind "T" to "noted items" I get the message below.
How  can I use a different set of special GL indicators for downpayment process?
    ===================================
Down payments and noted items not possible for special G/L indicator T
    Message no. F4089
    Diagnosis
You selected the noted items as the attribute for the special  G/L indicator T. This special G/L account indicator is a down payment/down payment request indicator. This combination is only permitted for special G/L indicator F.
    System Response
The system cannot accept this setting.
    Procedure
Change your setting for the special G/L indicator.

  • Sales Return for Closed Invoices

    Dear All,
I have Created a Sales Order and corresponding DC and Invoice.Since the payment is done the status of the invoice is closed. Now i get a product back and i want to do a Sales Return. How does SAP help me in doing Sales Return for Closed Invoices/ DC.
    Thanks,
    Merle

    Hi Merle,
This depends upon your business process and how you want to handle such cases.
In case where you dont want to cancel the incoming payment, just create a standalone AR credit note and in the reference or remarks field, you can mentioned the invoice number to be used in reporting.
Else, you can always cancel the payment and proceed as mentioned by Imran.
    Thanks,

  • CIN process to enter Excise Invoice for Return Delivery

    Folks
I would like to know How to process excise invoice for return delivery. We have return sales order, return delivery created and product is received into inventory Customer return Blocked stock (movement 657).
Where and How can i enter Excise invoice for this return (Credit Memo)?
    I tried J1IH transaction--> Other Adjustments
    I am getting following error.
GL account has not been assigned for RG23ASED in customization
    Message no. 8I447
    Diagnosis
GL account has not been assigned for the excise a/c in customization
    Procedure
Assign GL a/c for the excise a/c in CIN customization under :    Accounting ->  Assign GL accounts to excise groups and                   transaction types"
    Please help

J1IIN is intended only for outgoing sales and not for returns.
For updation of excise related sales returns, run J1IH and do the following:-
    Customer Credit
Choose the Additional excise input the original excise invoice reference, document year, company code, plant and excise group and execute. There input manually what value you need to give credit and save.
    Cenvat Debit
Choose Other Adjustment and here also, maintain the datas whatever you input as above and save.

  • Closing invoice not going to FICO (downpayment has alreaydy been cleared)

    HI
We have sales cases, where down payment request is already done and cleared.
When closing invoice is made it's not going into FICO and gives message "Downpayment is alreaydy cleared and cannot be used in offsetting). Reseting clearing document in FBRA seems not to be an option here because clearing document has been used to clear other customer sales also. Do you know any other way to get closing invoice done and posted to FICO?

    Message no. F5847
Check note 213567.  You may also refer to note 199571 which may also helpful to you though it is not related to this error message but related to Down Payment.

  • Where is the link between Sales Invoice and Downpayment Invoices

We made a downpayment invoice. And processed incoming payment for such invoice.
Then proceed to Sales Invoice, which was applied to the Downpayment invoice. Everyting went well.
We tried to use crystal report to extract the Sales Invoice (OINV, INV1) and link to the downpayment table (ODPI) to print the breakdown in the invoice form. We could not find the relationship in this table.
    Can someone help ?
    KC

Could it be helpful for you to use view in enterprise manager ? I just see the docentry field as the link field among OINV, INV1 and OPDI.
If you use down payment request, I think you could not since it is a note and must be reconciled after invoice created

  • Block settlement to auc for downpayment

    Hi SAP Friends,
There is a specific requirement in one of our project.
In an investment project, advance payment is issued against a service PO with ref to WBS. The requirement is to block the settlement to AUC for this advance payment only until service entry acceptance is made. Other commitment in the WBS should go as usual without problem with regular path of setlement to AUC and from AUC to Fixed asset.
    Regards
    Srinivasan

    Hi Srinivasan,
Please check if this could be of any help to you.
    Specify Capitalization of AUC/Down-Payment
In this step, you determine how the system will deal with down payments on AuCs and their closing invoice during the settlement (capitalization) of the AuC. This system setting is particularly relevant for respresenting down payments from previous years in the asset history sheet.
    Standard Settings
The system capitalizes down payments as follows in the standard system:
If you capitalize a down payment from the previous year and the closing invoice from the current year together, the amount of the down payment is transferred with the transaction type for asset data from previous years, and only the difference between the closing invoice and the down payment is transferred with the transaction type for current acquisitions.
    Activities
If you want to change the default setting, you must set the indicator for the capitalization of assets under construction without down payments. If this indicator is set, the system ignores down payments during the line item settlement of assets under construction. The total amount of the closing invoice is always transferred with the transaction type according to its posting year.
SPRO -  Asset Accounting - Transactions - Capitalization of Assets under Construction - Specify Capitalization of AUC/Down-Payment
Indicator transfer down payments from previous years
When you set this indicator, the system ignores downpayments during the line item settlement of assets under construction. The total amount of the closing invoice is then always transferred to the capitalized asset using the transaction type based on the year of the closing invoice.
    Use
    This has the following result:
There is an opposite effect when the indicator is not set, and you capitalize a downpayment from a previous year along with the closing invoice from the current year. In this case, the system transfers the amount of the downpayment from the previous year using a transaction type for old assets data. It transfers the difference between the total amount of the closing invoice and the downpayment using a transaction type for new acquisitions.

    Vinayak.

  • Dispute case against closed invoice / without invoice reference

    Dear experts,
We are currently implementing SAP and FSCM in an EMEA enviroment and one of the issues we are encountering with FSCM is that you can't (according to my advisors) raise a dispute case within FSCM against an invoice that has already been paid. Also you can't raise a dispute case for a dispute that has no invoice reference.
So the question is simple: is this correct? For me this is a surprise and a minus as we have frequent cases where customers raise a dispute against a closed invoice without deducting or having the possibility to deduct (inactive account) the disputed balance.
If this is the case are there any other options to raise a dispute and track and report on it?
Thank you very much for your input.
    Kind regards,
    Nico

Hi Nico, there is an option to raise disputes over paid invoices: Customer disputed objects.
This functionality was released with Ehp2, and has some differences with the traditional Disputed objects, for example, there is no process integration available.
    Best regards,
    Cristobal Fuentealba.

  • MM downpayment process using ME2DP - result list

    Hi,
    I have a question/problem.
The downpayment process using ME2DP works fine so far. But if I have finished a purchasing process by posting the down payment, the goods receipt and the final invoice, why is the PO not disappearing from the ME2DP list (the status lights are gone and the line shows 0,00 down payment)?
    Best Regards,
    Florian

    Hi j-tt,
this should certainly work. However ... if instead of Name you select the distinguishedName, you could use the whole dn as searchbase, instead of the construct you are currently using. Here's an Example after some slight rewrite:
    # Import the Active Directory Modules
    Import-Module ActiveDirectory
    # Grab all sub-OUs of the Search-Base, then retrieve their DistinguishedNames and Names
    Get-ADOrganizationalUnit -Filter "*" -SearchBase "OU=Servers,OU=FABRIC,dc=domain,dc=subdomain,dc=address,dc=com" -SearchScope OneLeve | Select Name, DistinguishedName | ForEach{
    # Save OU into Variable
    $OU = $_.Name
    # For each OU found, get all contained computers, extract their DNSHostnames and pass those into the script
    Get-ADComputer -SearchBase $_.DistinguishedName -Filter "*" | Select -ExpandProperty DNSHostname | c:\temp\Set-Rdg.ps1 -Pattern '(..)' -Taxonomy "dc=domain,dc=subdomain,dc=address,dc=com", "FABRIC", $OU -nobackup
I'll admit I might have gone a bit wild with the pipelines here :)
    Cheers,
    Fred
Edit: Fixed my shortened Version to include the Taxonomy parameters
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

  • Is There any API in receivables payment will made against closed invoices ?

    Hi ALL,
    i have requirement as below.
i am doing AR Invoice Data Migration for Instance 11.5.5 (as a Source Instance) to the new instance R12 (as a target instance).
Both open and closed invoices will have to be migrated from 11.5.5 to R12 to provide the drill down facility for audit purpose.
To meet the above requirement all the open and closed invoice will be picked up from 11.5.5 ; and imported into R12..
Subsequently, full payment will be made in R12 against all closed invoices in 11.5.5 to close those invoices by using any APIs?
can some one explain is there any API in receivables payment will made against closed invoices.
    Thanks,
    VSR.

    Hi,
Can you be clear on your question: You want any API to make payment against closed invoices?
To me, You are making things complex. We can achieve the Migration of Closed invoices using following two procedures:
    Procedure: 1
Ask Functional Guy to create a Transaction Type 'Closed Invoices' with Open to Receivables Flag not checked. +(You can uncheck Post to GL flag also, if required depending on your migration strategy)+. Status at Transaction Type if taken as 'Closed' it will be appropriate.
Invoices migrated using this Transaction Type shall not be shown as Outstanding but will be useful for Audit.
    Procedure: 2
Consider the amount due Original of Closed Invoices and migrate them with the amount as Amount due remaining.
While migrating populate Receipt Method,Payment Method and Instruments useful for Automatic Receipts.
Once Create Automatic Receipts Program is run, it will close all these invoices. Note: We require dummy bank here which points to a Clearing account.
Automatic Receipts program is also an API.
In the above 2 ways, we are acheiving the Goal by using Functional knowledge rather than Technical. And I think following Functional way is better and less time consuming.
Please discuss with your Functional consultant if required. You can succeed.
    Regards,
    Sridhar
