Collection Element Result based on multiple collection element values

Dear All,
we want to drive a result in the collection element "Result" based on two other elements on collection plan
For examples,
Collection Element: "Feathering" , "Ink upTime" and "Result"
Feathering Acceptable range 2-6 mm
Ink upTime Acceptable range 2-6 minutes
Result have a valid values " Accept " and " Reject "
Feathering=3 ( withing the limit)
Ink Uptime=8 ( Outside the limit)
so the Result= Reject
on collection plan
Please help me to resolve this scenerio ASAP.
Regards,

Hi Pankaj ,
Thank You for your response. But I have one observation for your given solution and this I have tried myself
For example
1) Define an action on "Feathering" element as:
Condition:
Value outside of specification limits.
Action :
Assign a value to collection element "Result" = "Reject".
2) Define an action on "Ink up Time" element as:
Condition:
Value Within the specification limits.
Action :
Assign a value to collection element "Result" = "Accept".
3) The final value of "Result" = "Accept" , because last element "Ink Up Time" within the spec. limit due to which "Result" populated with the value "Accept".
But this is not the case what I want the value of "Result" element assign when all element are within the specification limit, in the above case "Result" should by Reject.

Yasir

  • Display Results Based On Comparison to Input Values

    Hello,
    I have a utility that is built as a package and allows a user to input either a sku or sku description and receive inventory data (in number format). The utility implicity includes wild card searches and, as a result, may return multiple rows of data to the user.
    Currently there are only the two input fields as described above. I want to add another input field allowing the user to indicate the quantity they are needing of the given part.
    I would like to change my code so that instead of displaying a number value for the available quantity of each given part, it instead does a comparison between the quantity the user inputs as needing and the quantity currently available - and then returns a text message indicating the number of days the product will be available.
    My package accesses a view that contains all of the part information and the current available quantity. I want to take the user inputted required quantity and compare it to the available quantity obtained from the view and then display one of three different text messages depending on how the two values compare.
    What is my best course of action to change from displaying a specific available quantity and instead doing my comparison and displaying a text message as indicated?
    Thank you.

    Assuming that p_desired is the quantity required, then I would probably do a query something like:
    SELECT CASE WHEN avail - p_desired <= 0 THEN 'Sorry, out of luck'
                WHEN avail - p_desired > 0 and <=10 THEN 'You have a day or so'
                ELSE 'You can wait a while' END msg
    FROM view
    WHERE <conditions>You would, of course, implement your own rules in the CASE statement.

  • Results based on From and To value in Bex query designer.

    Dear all,
    We are using BI7.00. In one of our report which pertains to PM user wants to get the details of number of breakdowns which falls in the value range 0 to 1 hours.
    I created a condition which has 2 variables, one is From value and the other is for the To value (since user wants to enter both the limits). I have written a condition that if the breakdown hour is greater than or equal to variable1 and less than or equal to variable2.
    Using the above condition if the query is run, i am not getting the desired output. The values avaialble in the report are 0.65,0.78,1.30,7.38,0 etc., when i give 0 to 1 i should get the values 0.65,0.78 and 0 but instead report displays "No valid results".
    I changed the condition and selected "Between" variable 1 and variable 2 - yet no change in the query.
    To my knowledge i foresee that system is not able to recognize the decimal and hence provides details only based on the whole numbers.
    How to get my requirement achieved in the Bex query designer.
    Experts suggestion with steps will be very useful to solve my problem.

    Hi Magesh,
    I think you could try one more way.
    Create a formula inserting your two formula variables for limits .(FV -  are ready for input ) .
    The formula would return the result as 1 or 0 because it would have boolean condition in it.
    You could then place a condition in the query designer to only show all records where the value of the formula key fig is 1.
    You formula A would look like
    ( KF > FV1) AND (KF < FV2) * 1.
    And in the condition put A EQ 1.
    You could scale the key figures as well and multiply the limits mentioned by the users in FV1 and FV2 if decimals are still not recognized by SAP.(scaling)

    Question 2:
    ========
    How can a workflow read a form element and based on the element value automatically transit to other state?
    Example: An expense aproval form is in state ManagerA.

  • How to call pl/sql function from element values

    EBS 11.5.10.2
    XMLP 5.6.3
    Hello,
    I noticed that the output of the rdf-to-data template conversion process makes use of an undocumented feature of data templates, and I would like to get input from experts as to which situations this feature is usable.
    The closest thing I can find in the documentation is a sample in the user guide. There is a "General Ledger Journals Data Template Example" that has a <dataStructure> section that contains <element> nodes which are NOT children of a <group> node. I can't find any explanation of this in the user guide.
    I've noticed from converted templates that in these un-grouped elements you can make calls to PL/SQL functions in the "value" attribute, like this:
    <dataStructure>
      <group name="G_LINES" source="Q_MAIN">
        <element name="Line_Num"           value="Line_Num"/>
      </group>
      <element name="C_CALCULATED_VALUE" dataType="number" value="XX_CUSTOMPROCS.SOME_FUNCTION"/>
    </dataStructure>Has anyone had any success being able to call PL/SQL functions from grouped elements? Whenever I try, it doesn't seem to work.
    When I try something like this:
    <dataStructure>
      <group name="G_LINES" source="Q_MAIN">
        <element name="Line_Num"           value="Line_Num"/>
        <element name="some_calculation"   value="XX_CUSTOMPROCS.SOME_FUNCTION"/>
        <element name="some_calculation_b" value="XX_CUSTOMPROCS.SOME_FUNCTION_B(:Line_Num)"/>
      </group>
      <element name="C_CALCULATED_VALUE" dataType="number" value="XX_CUSTOMPROCS.SOME_FUNCTION"/>
    </dataStructure>The <SOME_CALCULATION/> and <SOME_CALCULATION_B/> nodes come out empty in the output data xml file, but <C_CALCULATED_VALUE> would have a value as desired.

    ah - perfect. That makes sense. Thank you for the response!
    But what about when we need to pass parameters to those functions whos values are the results of aggregate element values?
    This happens a lot in the converted data templates, where pl/sql package functions are meant to replace formula columns from the original Oracle Report. Take this example from the conversion of ARXAGMW.rdf (Aging Report, 7 Buckets):
    (note the function call in the value of "Set_Percent_Inv_Inv" is using aggregate results from subgroups)
      <group name="G_INV_INV" dataType="varchar2" source="Q_Invoice">
        <element name="Total_Inv_Inv_Amt" function="sum" dataType="number" value="G_Invoice.C_Amt_Due_Rem_Inv"/>
        <element name="Total_Inv_Inv_B0" function="sum" dataType="number" value="G_Invoice.C_Inv_B0"/>
        <element name="Total_Inv_Inv_B1" function="sum" dataType="number" value="G_Invoice.C_Inv_B1"/>
        <element name="Total_Inv_Inv_B2" function="sum" dataType="number" value="G_Invoice.C_Inv_B2"/>
        <element name="Total_Inv_Inv_B3" function="sum" dataType="number" value="G_Invoice.C_Inv_B3"/>
        <element name="Total_Inv_Inv_B4" function="sum" dataType="number" value="G_Invoice.C_Inv_B4"/>
        <element name="Total_Inv_Inv_B5" function="sum" dataType="number" value="G_Invoice.C_Inv_B5"/>
        <element name="Total_Inv_Inv_B6" function="sum" dataType="number" value="G_Invoice.C_Inv_B6"/>

                <element name="C_Inv_B5" dataType="number" value="C_Inv_B5"/>
                <element name="C_Inv_B6" dataType="number" value="C_Inv_B6"/>
              </group>
            </group>
          </group>
        </group>
      </group>
      ...All of these groups and sub-groups are based on one single query, so I am not sure how I would move the function call into the query without changing the results of the function.
    In the example above, elements Sum_Percent_B0_Inv through Sum_Percent_B6_Inv grab the results of the calculation done in set_percent_inv_invformula. Here is the essence of that function:
      sum_percent_b0_inv := ROUND ((total_inv_inv_b0 / total_inv_inv_amt) * 100, 2);
      sum_percent_b1_inv := ROUND ((total_inv_inv_b1 / total_inv_inv_amt) * 100, 2);
      sum_percent_b2_inv := ROUND ((total_inv_inv_b2 / total_inv_inv_amt) * 100, 2);
      sum_percent_b3_inv := ROUND ((total_inv_inv_b3 / total_inv_inv_amt) * 100, 2);
      sum_percent_b4_inv := ROUND ((total_inv_inv_b4 / total_inv_inv_amt) * 100, 2);
      sum_percent_b5_inv := ROUND ((total_inv_inv_b5 / total_inv_inv_amt) * 100, 2);
      sum_percent_b6_inv := ROUND ((total_inv_inv_b6 / total_inv_inv_amt) * 100, 2);The only solution I can think of is to have separate queries, one for each subgroup, that do the "sum" in sql; but that seems terribly inefficient.

  • Diplaying region content based on multiple selection lists

    Hi,
    I have 3 select list on submit(P1A, P1B, P1C). And i have 3 report regions.
    now this is the scenario. the 3 select lists are on submit.
    the P1C is a dynamic list which shows contents based on the selection from P1A and/or P1B. so this is how my P1C LOV looks like
    SELECT DISTINCT COLLECTION d, COLLECTION v
    FROM viewvs
    WHERE (YEAR =   :P1A  OR  :P1A= '-1' )
    AND   (SEASON =  :P1B  OR  :P1B= '-1' )
    ORDER BY d i also have a 3 report regions which display result based on P1C selection.
    now when i select P1C then i am able to see the 3 regions. and when i go back and change P1A and/or P1B, then P1C changes output. and the 3 regions should not show any data unless i again select one from P1C but, the 3 regions still hold on to the previous data.
    what i am trying to say is, when the regions should display data only when P1C is selected, and when any of P1A or P1B is changed the regions should disappear and should not display any data, but instead the 3 regions show the previous data unless a new selection is done.
    How can i clear the report region when everytime a new value is selected from P1A and/or P1B.
    also the below is part of what i have entered in the report regions
    IF :P1C != 'NULL' THEN
    --DISPLAY THESE VALUES
    END IF;---------
    this is what i found the latest. whats happeneing is
    when i select listA, listB-- listC gets populated and when i select from listC based on that value which gets stored in session state, report regions get displayed
    but when i go back and change selection in listA, listB
    by default listC session value should go to NULL, and only after i make a new selection, then with this new session value for listC, the report regions get displayed.
    but when i checked the session value for listC, it still remains the same old value from the previous selection, because i haven't nade new selection and thats why the report regions are still showing the old result.
    so how can i remove this session value for listC after displaying the report results.
    Thanks,
    Philip.

    There is nothing wrong with your code, so I'd look elsewhere for the problem. Is this a direct copy of what you have on your page?
    :P1_COMBO1 in ('Option 1', 'Option 2')
    And
    :P1_COMBO2 = 'Option Combo 2'And the page item values are exactly as you have in the quoted strings? You might run the page in debug and confirm the page item values are exact.

  • Search Results based on other Search Results

    Scenario -
    I have a BDC content type which has a custom page for end users to view the data in the content type.  This page has a search result we part that displays the details of the content type.  There are other search result web parts that show related
    documents to the content type.
    We are able to use the query string to pass in properties of the content type that will filter the search results to documents based on the passed value.  Example: Employee content type has custom page that lists the details about that employee, and
    when passing the department in the url to the page, a list of department specific documents can be displayed.
    There are several attributes of the "Employee" content type that we would like to filter for specific documents with.  How can I access these attributes with out passing them through the query string in the url?
    I would rather not have to pass all these elements in the url Employee.aspx?employeeid={0}&department={1}&state={2}&employeetype={3} ect...  I would be better to just pass the employee id, and the page be able to get all the information
    it needs for the Search Results/Content Search web parts.
    Any thoughts would be helpful.  We are currently looking at the Product Catalog items, but this doesn't seem to fix our issue where we need to filter the results based on attributes of the current contextual content type.
    Thank You
    Shane

    I have been doing some more research, and I just cannot seem to find a viable option.  Can I use the Page.<FieldName>, or ListItem.<property>?  I am not sure, and no body seems to be doing anything like this?  Can it be done with
    javascript on the client, without having to rebuild the Display Template functionality for the results?
    So many questions and no one seems to have an answer?

  • Filtering results based on dynamic date in coldfusion and access database

    Hello Guys, i am using a cfquery and am trying to return results based on date. the idea is to return entries that are less than or equal to date but am not getting any results but when i change to greater than or equal to i get the all results in databse which is wrong.
    Below is my code. is there something am doing wrong? Please help.
    <cffunction name="getBal" access="remote">
    <cfargument name="ID_biodata" type="string" required="true">
            <cfargument name="quater" type="string" required="true"/>

                FROM qBal
            </cfquery>
            <cfreturn results />
        </cffunction>

    Turn on debugging so that you can see what ColdFusion is sending to your database server.
    The debug info will show the SQL statement with query parameter values below it.

  • Totals Based on Multiple Criteria in Repeating Rows

    Hi All,
    I have 3 dropdowns (DD1, DD2, DD3) and one textfield (TF1) in repeating rows (not in a table).  Each dropdown has two choices and the textfield is free-form. Outside of the rows (in a different subform) I want totals based on multiple criteria from the dropdowns and textfields.
    The following script works great to get a total number of one choice from one dropdown.
    this.rawValue = xfa.resolveNodes('form1.Form.row[*].DD1.[$.rawValue == "2"]').length;
    Problem is how do I calculate the totals for the following based on the criteria listed in each row.
    Find the totals for ML
    Number of New Forms 1-2 Pages: (result should be 2)
    Number of New Forms 3+ Pages: (result should be 1)
    Number of Revised Form: (result should be 0)
    In row #1:  select “New” as a choice from DD1, “Form” as choice from DD2, “ML” as a choice from DD3 and enter “5” in TF1.
    In row #2:  select “New” as a choice from DD1, “Form” as choice from DD2 , “ML” as a choice from DD3 and enter “1” in TF1.
    In row #3:  select “New” as a choice from DD1, “Form” as choice from DD2, “ML” as a choice from DD3 and enter “2” in TF1.
    In row #4:  select “Revised” as a choice from DD1, “Series” as choice from DD2, “ML” as a choice from DD3 and enter “1” in TF1.
    In row #5:  select “New” as a choice from DD1, “Form” as choice from DD2, “PM” as a choice from DD3 and enter “1” in TF1.

    Try something like;
    var mlNewForms1or2Pages = 0;
    var mlNewFormsOver3Pages = 0;
    var mlRevisedForms = 0;
    var rows = xfa.resolveNodes('form1.Form.row[*]');
    for (var i = 0, limit = rows.length; i < limit; i++)
    var currentRow = rows.item(i);
    if (currentRow.DD1.rawValue == "1") // new
      if (currentRow.DD2.rawValue == "1") // form
       if (currentRow.DD3.rawValue == "1") // ML
        if (parseInt(currentRow.TF1.rawValue, 10) > 2)
         mlNewFormsOver3Pages++;
        else
         mlNewForms1or2Pages++;
    else // revised
      if (currentRow.DD2.rawValue == "1") // form
       if (currentRow.DD3.rawValue == "1") // ML
        mlRevisedForms++
    console.println(mlNewForms1or2Pages);
    console.println(mlNewFormsOver3Pages);
    console.println(mlRevisedForms);
    To do the same using predicates you could do;
    var mlNewForms1or2Pages = 0;
    var mlNewFormsOver3Pages = 0;
    var mlRevisedForms = 0;
    mlNewForms1or2Pages = xfa.resolveNodes('form1.Form.row.[DD1 == 1 and DD2 == 1 and DD3 == 1 and TF1 <= 2]').length;
    mlNewFormsOver3Pages = xfa.resolveNodes('form1.Form.row.[DD1 == 1 and DD2 == 1 and DD3 == 1 and TF1 > 2]').length;
    mlRevisedForms = xfa.resolveNodes('form1.Form.row.[DD1 == 2 and DD2 == 1 and DD3 == 1]').length;
    But if you wanted totals for all the permutations then this could become slow.

    Bruce

  • LOV based on multiple views

    Is it possible to create a dynamic LOV that is based on multiple views? If so, how? Example code?

    I got it to work, however the order is still lacking. I tried using "order by" but it only worked if there was only 1 view. Perhaps I am setting up the code incorrectly.... and I am a bit foggy on what you mean about the 3rd column. What is supposed to be in that third column that would make it order, and how do you stop it from being in your final results?
    Thank you very much for your help!!

  • Setting the container element values

    Hi Experts,
    While I am trying to set the container element values, it is resulting in an error.
    We are designing a leave request WF using WS12300111. We are using ABAP classes.
    Inside a method, I have written the following code :
    swc_set_element container 'PERNR' lv_pernr.
    It is giving an error. It says 'SWC_SET_ELEMENT' not defined.
    First of all i would like to know if we can use this statement in ABAP classes. If we have to set a value of a container element, how can we go about doing the same in ABAP classes.
    Kindly guide me on the same.
    Cheers,
    Belinda Clarke

    Hi,
    No, you cannot use those in the ABAP classes. (EDIT: Or you can, put it doesn't make really any sense.)
    Just make exporting parameters into your method. Put your variables (PERNR, etc.) in those. Then do the binding from method to the task container (in the task editor). This way you will get the values from a method to the task container.

  • Want to update data in a view based on multiple tables

    Hi
    I am facing a problem i want to update data in tables using a view. As that view is based on multiple tables so i am unable to update data. i came to know we can update table from view only if view is based on single table. so if anyone knows any alternative please let me know.
    Thanx
    Devinder

    Devinder,
    The table can be updated through a view based on multiple tables, if and only if the table is a "key preserved" table. Rather than explaining myself, i avoided the burden of typing by finding the material in Oracle Docs and pasting it for you :-)
    If you want a join view to be updatable, all of the following conditions must be
    true:
    1. The DML statement must affect only one table underlying the join.
    2. For an INSERT statement, the view must not be created WITH CHECK
    OPTION, and all columns into which values are inserted must come from a
    key-preserved table. A key-preserved table in one for which every primary
    key or unique key value in the base table is also unique in the join view.
    3. For an UPDATE statement, all columns updated must be extracted from a
    key-preserved table. If the view was created WITH CHECK OPTION, join
    columns and columns taken from tables that are referenced more than once
    in the view must be shielded from UPDATE.
    4. For a DELETE statement, the join can have one and only one key-preserved
    table. That table can appear more than once in the join, unless the view was
    created WITH CHECK OPTION.

  • How to develop a report based on multiple data bases in BIP

    Hi,

    Hi ,
    After creating the dataset under datamodel save your data sets.
    Click on Datamodel , on the right side window you will have the Main data set option , click on the drop down option and select Concatenated sql option.
    Check the below links you will get a good idea.

  • Freight posting in MIRO based upon multiple goods receipt.

    Hi
    In one of the companies they are requesting the freight charge to be broken into multiple lines (based upon multiple goods receipt)  instead of one consolidated balances in the invoice (MIRO).  Right now each time we do a MIGO against the same PO the system creates a seperate material document and the entry is (and that is correct) :
    Inventory  -      XXXX
    GR/IR (Cost)- XXXX
    GR/IR (Freight) XXXX
    PPV                  XXXX
    for example if migo is done 3 times against the same PO the system posts 3 seperate material document and everything is correct.
    When we do a MIRO the system generates 3 seperate lines for GR/IR (Cost) but it consolidates GR/IR(freight) and posts the entire value in one line.
    Requirement is : We want the system to break freight cost into 3 seperate in the invoice.
    Did anyone come across this issue before.
    Thanks
    Joseph

    Hi Joseph,
    I guess you can use MIRO 3 times, and post separated delivery costs into 3 freight invoices.
    During each time, you can choose only 1 line to carry out the posting.
    Thanks and regards,
    Polly

  • Create a universe based on multiple existing universes

    I have a BI 4 SP02 installed in Windows OS. I am using Information design tool to create data foundation to connect to multiple data sources. Instead of using multiple database connection, can I create a data foundation to connect to multiple universes. My intention is not to create new universe based on multiple databases. Instead, I want to combine two existing universes as one and create report from that. Is it possible to do? if so, may I know how to do that?
    Thank you

    Hi
    If you want to combine two universes and make a report of it, it is possible by universe linking concept.
    If you have two universes for example, then these two universes have to be linked by using any of these two methods.
    1. Add link
    2. Include link
    Add Link : Complete reusing of an existing universe in the current universe.
    Steps
    1. File > parameters > link tab> Add link> browse for the universe> open > ok.
    Then make the join between the common object.
    Save and export.
    Include link: Partially reusing of the existing in the current universe with few modifications.
    Steps
    1.File > parameters > link tab> Include link> browse for the universe> open > ok.
    Hope it helps.
