Collective requirement of raw material

How we can create the collective requirement for the raw material i.e. when I run the mrp of two finished product.Raw material AW-122 of the finished products  are common.So instead of two planned order,Can i get one planned order after mrp.

Yes it is possible to get one planned order if for that material master in MRP4 screen if you set indicator for Individual/coll. as 2-Collective requirements only then it is done also with this in MRP1 in Lot size also give lotsize keys Fix/weekly/Monthly

    Hi Gurus.
    cananyboduy please exaplain me on why the system is lumping together the requirement on the raw material in too advance.
    Here is the example. C is a raw material goes into B (semi finished) which goes into A (finished)
    Now there are three dates where we need to build A
    07/11/2011 - A - 4000
    08/08/2011 - A - 14000
    09/06/2011 - A - 15000
    Now what happening is all this 33000 of requirement is getting put on C (raw material) with todays date. The question here is why is the system asking us to buy the raw material fior a requriement which is in september.
    the planned delivery time on C (raw material) is 10 days, the inhouse production time for B (semi finished) is 10 days, and the inhouse production time of A is 10 days.
    So basically why would we need to buy a raw material so much in advance when there is no need. We are operating on a 7day factory calendar.

    Bah I had a similar problem 3 years back. I just vaguely remember the solution had something to with the Lot Size or setting the Individual/Collective indicator to 1.
    Sorry can't be of much help atm, but if I recall exactly what I had done will let you know.

  • Collective requirement for Raw materials for the whole week during mrp ru

    hi gurus,
          I have a requirement like this. the raw materials required for on different requirement dates has to be clubbed together  per week and one single purchase requisition for that raw material for that week. I had created a availability checking group and assigned that to check rule. then attached that in material master mrp 3 view of the material master.
       If i run mrp for that product, it is not clubbing the weekly requirement instead it is clubbing only daily requirement and pr is getting generated.
      can anybody give some valuable inputs so that i can proceed further?

    Try using the Lot Size: WB.
    With this system wil club together all the requirements and propose a single receipt element.

  • Both Individual & Collective requirement for Same material

    Hi,
    Is it possible to have a component as,
    dependent requirement in one B.o.M as individual requirement & in another  B.o.M as collective requirement.
    Suppose we have 2 Production version
    Bill of material 1
    FG (Make to Order)
    SFG2 (Individual planned order)
    Other version is
    Bill of material 2
    FG (Make to Order)
    SFG1 (Individual planned orders)
    SFG2 (Collective planned order)
    Is it possible to have SFG2 as Individual as well as collective requirement, based on B.o.M so that if version one is selected then all individual planned order need to be generated  with reference of sales order& if version 2 selection then a collective planned order to be generated without reference of sales order..
    & In B.O.M Item data how Explosion type can be useful in these scenario.

    As far as I know, this setting is only available at the material master and it is not possible to change is at BOM level.
    You can try to use BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA to control if the requiremens are assigned to the individual stock or not, from an MRP perspective. Please observer that this BAdI does not change data on the table.
    However, BAdI WORKORDER_UPDATE can be used later to remove the assignment to the invidual stock from the production order components.

  • Help Required on Raw Material forecast

    Hi,
    I am not an SAP consultant/ technical user, i am just a helpless user.
    What i am faced with is that i dont get to see RM requirements for future months based on the forecast/sales plan for finished goods entered in the system. I am just able to see decent requirements for the running month but very less/inaccurate requirements for the remaining months. it seems as if while calculating, the system does not take into account if anything is being sold or will be sold at all. I might be wrong but this seems to be the case.
    I view the planned requirements in COOISPI and the requisitions in MD04.
    The current MRP type set is:PD
    Please help as to how to fix this issue or how do i guide the I.T department who themselves are not sure of a one track solution to this issue.

    Thank you for reverting back.
    You got it right.
    To verify how the system is working i have the pp rep upload the same sales plan for 5 months. So that we get to know what results to expect each month.
    What they currently are doing  (detail with T-code):
    Uploading  sales plan  to the active version through t-code  MCZS
    Converting this to the active version through t-code OLIX
    Re organizing the PIRs through t code MD74
    Converting the sales plan to demand plan through MC8G
    Running the MPS/MRO through MD40
    Once the MRP with sales plan for the future months inserted is run then i can see planned orders for future months in MD04 and COOISPI (planned orders are same in both reports, COOISPI just provides a better view without looking at the purchase requisitions) so basically i am considering the planned orders as my forecast at the moment.
    I have tried comparing the values with the sales plan. The sales plan and planned orders after the MRP run do match but after the second month on wards. So for the first month the requirement is huge (safety stock+second month's requirement) and then as per the sales plan from second month on wards, the requirements end one month in advance to the sales plan (while viewing MD04). At RM level there are huge variations: e.g for an RM with average consumption of say 200 k kgs, i am able to see the first month at 168 k kgs then only 553 kg in the following month, and 1336 kg in the next.

Because I find if I dun set this field, nothing happens after I execute MD01 for the MRP Run.
    Another query is in case the Stock Requirement is on two different dates, can I still group them together into one Plan Order or one Purchase Requisition using the selection - 2. Collective Requirement selection?

    Yes Individual / Collective indicator only works for MTO strategies.

    You can but if the dates are different you have to use Periodic Lot Size.like PK.and all requirements within one period will be grouped together and they will be planned together.

  • Raw material requirement needs to be updated

    Hi all,
    We are implementing PP and while configuring the WM/PP interface, I have the following requirement from my customer:
    After creating and releasing production order 1, it creates T.O. for raw material A in the warehouse with qty 10 (for example).
    After confirming the T.O. the raw material moves in the production staging area and is not used yet. Now if we have another Production order 2 using qty 15 of the same raw material, he wants the system to create a T.O. for for the delta qty 5(15-10) because we still have some previous raw material available.
    How can I do that?

    You need to change your checking rule (T.Code OPJJ)
    remove tick from include reservation. or create new checking rule for that perticuller material.
                                            or
    If you want to do it temporary purpose then tick final issue for that material in earlier order but it mean that now there is no need of this material for this perticuller order.

  • Simulated raw material requirement

    Hi Experts,
                     Is it possible to do a simulated planning to get raw material requirement in a list form without creating planned orders ?
                     If we start from LTP, as per my understanding the moment we copy a planning scenario through MS64 or change through MS32, the plan is taken into operative version. As SAP recommends MS02 or MS01 only after that, the planned orders we are getting should be operative only. So how do we get a simulated requirement of raw materials? Please clarify.

    In other words, can i say that if i have 2 or 3 planning alternatives to choose from on the basis of material analysis, I have to create separate planning scenarios for each of these and run MS01 one by one for each of these scenarios and then against each of these runs i have to do the material analysis and save it for comparison.
    Does it also mean that while  doing each MS01 run, i have to choose "delete and recreate planning data" till I arrive at the appropriate version to choose from ?
    And does it also mean that there is no way to know the material requirement for planning alternatives without doing any MRP run ?

  • Raw Material & SFG consumption required in different production lines

    Customer has 5 different production lines, each line will be handle by different team.
    Each production line will consume the same and different combination of Raw material and SFG for different finished products.
    Customer wants to track
    1. how much of raw material and SFG is consumed for each production line.
    2. how much of Finished Product has been produced
    3. how much of material is lying at work in progress.
    Please suggest,how to map this functionality.

    for this you need to create UDF with choose from list in production order where user should select the appropriate production line in each production order and then you can write simple queries for your reports based on this production line on production order

  • Raw material stock to be consider against sales order in md50(i.e mrp run)

    when i run MD50 against particular sales order, it is not considering stock of raw material. it is creating planned order for raw material which is already in stock. my problem is that when i run mrp it should consider my raw material stock.

    Correctly said by all our Experts (Mr.Brahmankar , Mr.Dharma)
    Now all you have to decide whether you want to go for this individual or Collective requirment type.Because on one hand
    - If you select individual requirement then system will not consider available stock and generate Proposals for every single requirments.
    Also you will find PR and Plan order with account assignment of Sales order (in case of MD50)
    - If you select collective requirement then system will not generate planing proposals through MD50.In that case you have to go for individual MRP (MD02 / MD03 / MD41 / MD42).

    If so do you want the price that's maintained in the Purchase Info Record?
    If required the price mentioned in PIR can be overwritten while purchase order is created.
    If you want to take the values mentioned in Purchase Info record means,check these tables,

  • Excice invoice captured as capital goods, but material is raw material

    All SAP Gurus,
    We have wrongly captured (and posted) the excise invoice as Capital goods (RG 23C), but material is Raw material (RG 23A).
    Material document can not be reversed as material is already issued and consumed for production activities.
    To get the effect in Rg 23 A, we have passed the Excise JV (J1IH - Other Adj.).
    Due to this Excise JV, we are getting entry in RG 23A, but the same entry is also displayed in RG 23C.
    Is there a way to delete/remove/reverse this entry from RG 23C.

    Use following method to reduce duties from RG23C Accounts
    Making Adjustment Postings for Other Transactions
    Use: - You follow this procedure if you want to make an adjustment posting that does not fall into any of the other categories of adjustment offered by this function. You can only use an external document as your reference document.
    Procedure: -
    1. J1IH > Excise JV > Other adj.
    2. Enter data as required, including:
    u2022 Document number
    Enter the number of the external document that you want to refer to.
    u2022 CENVAT account selection group box
    Specify which account is affected by the adjustment posting is for. Here in your case select RG23C.
    3. Click on u201CEnteru201D button.
    The system displays the information from the material document.
    4. Adjust the posting date as necessary and enter Vendor code as per requirement.
    5. Enter the amount of excise duty in either of the following ways:
    u2022 To enter line items for different materials and the excise duty accordingly, choose u201CDetailsu201D button and enter the line items in the table.
    Here fill details like Material Code, Quantity as per Excise Invoice, Batch No, Reference (i.e. GRN Document), BED and Ed Cess Amount manually.

    J1ID data wrongly uploaded as Consumable instead of Raw material.
    Due to this excise invoices for these materials got captured and posted in RG23C register in place of RG23A register.
    (Material document can not be reversed as material is already consumed.)
    How these entries in RG23C/RG23A entries can be corrected?

  • In time Consumption of Raw material in case of Subcontracting

    Please look into the following issue.
    Presently we are sending Raw material to subcontracting vendor  through 541 mvt type  along with excis challan.Then subcontractor intimates raw material consumption details time to time through mail/fax.Now as per client requirement raw material consumption should be done in time i.e. when they are receiving raw material consumption details. They don't want book the raw material consumtion at the the time of receipt of finish goods.
    Please guide me to book in time consumption of raw material.

    I want to do the manual consumption from subcontracting stock. Client don't want to book the consumption at the the time of raw material transfer to subcontractor. Also there will be problem in subcontracting challan reconcillation.
    We can't do the manual consumption through 543 mvt type .Is there any workarround for this ?
