Columns not displayed in BI 4.0 IDT/Universe Designer

I am a Admin for BI 4.0,one of my user was not able to see tables columns in BI 4.0 while creating a new universe with user id as bo_xxxxx_xxxxxxxxxx_yyyyyyy_an

Hi
Check whether user have authorization to access the tables or not
Check  whether DB connection is working or not
And what is the back-end data base for the universe?
Find the below notes for more info.
If data base is Oracle
1803659 - Unable to display columns from Oracle synonym tables
Ms SQL Server
1904204 - Synonyms not displaying columns in IDT.

  • Newly added column not displayed in Interactive report

    Hello,
    I have a tableA with 3 columns.In the application i am displaying as Form with Report region as Interactive report(Oracle 10g Application Express 3.2).
    I added one column to tableA.Now when i am refreshing the report by adding that column in the select query,the new added column is not displayed in the application.
    How can i do this so that the added column can be displayed.I dont want to delete the whole thing and redo it again.
    Thanks
    Siya

    Hi Siya,
    The Interactive Report will not show you the newly added columns by default. You have to select those columns from the actions menu and when all the required fields are displayed then save it as the default report.
    Then you will be able to see all the columns.
    Hope this solves your problem.
    Thanks,
    Satish.

  • Column not displaying after added by personalization in Advance table

    Hi,
    I am working in Upgradation project from 11i to R12. I saw that the personalization have alredy migrated in the R12 instance. However these personalization are not displaying in Advance tabel in R12. these are the 4 custom columns which are already present and displaying in 11i. But these are not displaying in R12. I have check Functiona administrator that the personalization are not deactivated. Have checked that rendered property is TRUE for that personalization. I have also checked .xml file from list customization and print document -- jdr_utils...but the files are same in 11i and R12.   I have added a custom column by personalizatio but this column also not displaying. Can you please take a light on this issue...I will be highly thankful to you?
    Thanks
    Vikram

    Hi Vikram,
    Check 4 Custom Attribute is available or not in Translatable Items of Particular Page   Via About This Page link.
    If attribute available  then Please do Re-personalization only in R12 for 4 custom column.
    Otherwise  You need to do VO Extension Again in R12.
    Thanks,
    Dilip

  • People Picker column not displaying name in list view

    I have a strange thing going on in list views. If I create a default view with a people picker column, it does not show the name - it appears to be blank (like below);
    If I then alter the view and make the style "Shaded" the user name appears (like below);
    It also seems to be an issue when looking at a Workflow process or survey results..  Can anybody explain to me why this is happening and how to resolve the issue?

    Hi,
    As I understand, the issue occurs to All task view in task list, assigned to column not showing while it could be filtered.
    I’d recommend you create a new view with needed column including assigned to column, and make it default.
    Here is a similar thread, please check if it helps:

  • Name of the column not displayed

    Hi,
    My query is made on the Data Provider that has the following fields:
    - Notification Numbers(which I get directly from the Data Provider)
    -Status ('ACT' for Active and 'INACT' for Inactive)
    Now, my report should show:
    - Count of all Notification Numbers(which I have avhieved through replacement path)
    - Count of non-confimed Notification Numbers; which is the 'Count of all Notification Numbers' for which the status is INACT.- I have tried achieveing this by making a Restricted KF on the  'Count of all Notification Numbers'. However, the problem is that when this is displayed in the Report, it does not show the name of the column.
    Need help!
    Thx!

    Hi,
    Just select your restricted keyfigure and hit general tab under that description will be there---Enter your desired description there.
    I hope it helps.

  • Mapbuilder - Info Columns not displaying in basemap

    Hello,
    My question should be rather simple for s.o. who knows the answer...
    When I add a theme-based FOI to my MVMapView object with "mapview.addThemeBasedFOI(current_test_theme);" the Info Columns show fine on the map when a point is clicked on (as it should), but when I include that same theme into a basemap the Info Columns don't work. (I.e., none of my points are now clickable).
    The Info Columns I am referring to are located in mapbuilder under the Advanced tab of any theme.
    Question: Is there any way to display Info Columns in a basemap?
    Essentially I am looking for an easy/fast way to display this info. One of the main concerns here is that a basemap loads so fast, but a predefined theme called from the client-side really takes its time to load.
    Thanks for any help on this.

    You can speed up FOI rendering using themebasedfoi.setMaxWholeImageLevel() or setAutoWholeImage
    and setting the foi image directpry (in mapViewerConfig.xml <save_images_at>) to be someplace accessible by the web server directly (e.g. apache/htdocs/) and not behind OC4J (i.e. /mapviewer/images/) if you're using something other than standalone oc4j.

    Hi
    this is a rather unconventional and not officially supported way to access SAP data. Some of the table fields as you see them in SAP R3 do not have corresponding fields in the underlying database.
    If you want to build reports on SAP R3 table you have the following options:
    1) Use the SAP rapid marts and extract your R3 data into a DWH based on a relational database. You also get a universe on which you can build your reports.
    2) You can use Crystal Reports and the native R3 table driver
    3) There is also a prototype (This is NOT a product) R3 connector for the Data FEderator that will allo you to build relational universes on SAP R3 sources.
    4) Load your data into a BW system and build OLAP universes on top of BEx queries.

  • Reader 11.0.07 does not display content of PDFs created with LiveCycle Designer ES 8.1

    We use some PDFs created with LiveCycle Designer ES 8.1 which do not show any content when opened with Reader 11.0.07, only a blank display area or erratic copies of the screen behind it. Documents look fine in print preview though and also print correctly. Tried to change various security or display settings, no effect. Tried other machines, different hardware, different OS versions (Win7, Win8), same effect on every single device with 11.0.07 installed.
    Any ideas, anyone?!?

    Hi,
    Not sure why you are resolving the node (??), also I would not be inclined to include a period in the object name (.), maybe this is why you are resolving the node.
    Also I don't see in the script where you are calling the instanceManager, in order to use the addInstance method.
    Having said that the problem may be in the File > Form Properties > Defaults tab:
    Check that Preserve script changes is set to Automatic.
    Lastly is the form Reader Enabled? It would need to be for users with Reader to save the changes, including new instances of a repeating element.

    Do your fields in the internal table reference dictionary objects or elementary types? If not using dictionary types, the column names will be blank by default. If you can't change your fields to be dictionary types, you can try this to change the column names:
    I made a method inside my local class to add the names:
            call method set_colname
              EXPORTING iv_tab = alv_tab
                        iv_colid = 'xxxx'  "fieldname from the table

              alv_col type REF TO cl_salv_column.
      TRY .

  • Few values of report column do not display in report while applying filter

    Post Author: anuragg11
    CA Forum: WebIntelligence Reporting
    There are 6 drill filters applied on the report to filter out the report column data. Few values of the report are not displaying in the report when using drill filter. Same issue is with report filter too. If filters are removed then values are appearing in the report. We are using version BO XI R2 & Java runtime JRE 1.4v. It doesn't look issue is with Java version because only few specific data of the report column are not shown in the report when using filter on the data. Example: One of Report data column contains below values: 24.2, 26.9, 120.1, 230, 274.9, 275.8, 333.2 Report is displaying all these values when there is no filter on any data. But report doesn't display data when applying filter on 274.9 or 120.1 howver filter on other values 24.2, 26.9, 230, 275.8, 333.2 are working fine.

    Hello,
    I think i know what your problem is.
    Although in table view your 2 requests combine perfectly and show separate results in pivot view BI unfortunaterly adds them up.
    One work around would be to go in your criteria add in each request a dummy column. This can be obtained the following way:
    1. click on a column to add it in the criteria (it doesnt matter which one)
    2. go into the edit formula of that column
    3. delete the formula and in its place write 'Dummy Column 1'
    Do the same for the second request by adding a "Dummy Column 2'
    Now the Pivot Table should also show up correctly
    Let me know if it goes well or if you have any further questions,
    Kostis

  • How can i reorder the columns in the do not display section of the interactive report.

    Hi,
    My interactive report contains 185 columns, and the user requieres to build his customized reports with some columns, but the he gets lost between this amount of columns, this would be easier if the columns in the do not display section of the interactive report would be sorted automaticaly, Is this possible?
    Thanks a lot,

    Hi Eva,
    One solution would be to order the column names alphabetically. You can create a JavaScript dynamic action to handle the sorting.
    The shuttle of the IR attribute "Select Columns" have the ID's "apexir_SHUTTLE_LEFT" or the Hidden colums and "apexir_SHUTTLE_RIGHT" for the displayed columns.
    The function you'd need to create would look like:
    var options = $('select#apexir_SHUTTLE_LEFT option');
    var arr = options.map(function(_, o) { return { t: $(o).text(), v: o.value }; }).get();
    arr.sort(function(o1, o2) { return o1.t > o2.t ? 1 : o1.t < o2.t ? -1 : 0; });
    options.each(function(i, o) {
      o.value = arr[i].v;
      $(o).text(arr[i].t);
    var options = $('select#apexir_SHUTTLE_RIGHT option');
    var arr = options.map(function(_, o) { return { t: $(o).text(), v: o.value }; }).get();
    arr.sort(function(o1, o2) { return o1.t > o2.t ? 1 : o1.t < o2.t ? -1 : 0; });
    options.each(function(i, o) {
      o.value = arr[i].v;
      $(o).text(arr[i].t);
    You'd need to find the propper timing for the dynamic action to run, I guess click of the button "Select Columns" would do the trick.

  • In query, turkish column name is not displayed correctly?

    In my characteristic and key figure infoobjects , i used turkish characters for explanation but in Bex they are displayed as illegal characters for column names.
    How can i correct this or where would i make a mistake?
    Thanks.

    Hi Tuncer,
    I am dealing with the same problem you had.
    Turkish characters in the column names, infocube names are not displayed although in BW turkish characters are displayed properly. Did you solve your problem about Turkish characters in column names.
    If you could solve, I would be glad to hear your solution.
    Thank you.

  • Columns are not displaying in a Dimension in the presentation layer

    Hi All,
    I have a Dimension in one of the subject area which has 3 columns. It was working fine but yesterday, we have an issue about this. These columns are not displaying anymore in the dimension.
    I have checked in the Repository and from the Presentation services for the permissions and they look fine. Is there anything else am missing. If so, where I need to check.
    Kindly help me on this.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Check three things.
    1. Try to login Admin user and check whether those columns are present or not.
    2. Try to login different browser.
    3. Cross check privileges for login user (what role has assigned ).
    Note: Clear the browser cache and all Bi server cache and check.

  • Active Directory Users and Computer not displaying column data?

    I am running Windows 8.1 Enterprise with RSAT installed.  My Domain controllers are Server 2008 R2.
    I am having and issue with Active Directory Users and Computers.  Typically I will turn on Advanced Features and then add Columns for Email address and Display Name.  This for example allows me to easily export lists of users and there email
    addresses among other things.
    The issue is that on my Windows 8.1 client, the columns for Email and Display Name are empty.  It simply will not display this information.  It only displays Name, TYpe and Description.
    If I use a Windows 7 client, the information displays correctly.
    Has anyone run into this issue or heard of this problem when using ADUC on Windows 8.1?

    ADUC is an AD tool that is no longer being improved, with Microsoft now focusing on ADAC (Administrative Center). In 8.1, it has improved quite a bit since 7. You can also just try using the
    ActiveDirectory PowerShell Module, which is easy to use and fairly powerful. It can be simple to export lists, and the module for AD is included with RSAT tools.
    Example:
    Import-Module ActiveDirectory
    Get-ADUser -Filter {Manager -eq "John.Smith"} -Properties DisplayName,Mail | Export-Csv dump.csv -NoTypeInformation
    So, recommendation: either use ADAC, or PowerShell -- ADUC is part of the wave of deprecation.
