Com.cisco.cti.protocol.FailureResponse

Hi all,
I have a callmanager 6.1.1(pub and subscriber) connected to a ipcc express with 2 nodes, last week we had to remove the subscriber from the callmanager cluster. After that we notice that same calls from the ipcc to the agents were beeing drop with the folowing error message on the ipcc express:

Is there any documents on the cco that explains this error message or thus any one knows what could be this error
Thanks

Decoding the error cause it is:
const unsigned long int CTIERR_ILLEGAL_HANDLE
=                                0x8CCC0004;
I suspect there may be something wrong in the call before this message and this is an after effect. We would need the JTAPI client logs to confirm, but this should be investigated from the CUCM side as it looks as though the error is in the JTAPI layer.

  • Com.sun.media.protocol.sunvideo.  HEEELLLP

I have Installed JMF2.1.1b and downloaded the source code for JMF studio.. I like to be able to compile the code and eventually add couple of proprietary layer for our use... But I'm not able to successfully compile the code because of the missing packages & classes... such as
    com.sun.media.protocol.*
and basically its entire sub classes e.g.
    sunvideo, sunvideoplus, v4, etc...
can somebody pleasssse help me here??? R these packages accessible by developers??? if not what's a point of providing the source code of this application???
Is there any other way of introducing your customization to an existing application in Java env??? Does anybody even ever tried to do a similar thing with this or other Java applications???
    Would much appreciate your help.

    I'm having the same problem...
Have you resolved this problem... Do you have this packages??
    Thanks in advance..

  • Com.sun.media.protocol.v4l.DataSource missing in JMF-2.1.1e

    Hi Folx,
I installed the linux-package of JMF-2.1.1e and tried to access a webcam with video4linux. I get this error-msg:
java.io.IOException: java.lang.Error: No such capture device!
javax.media.NoDataSourceException: Error instantiating class: com.sun.media.protocol.v4l.DataSource : java.io.IOException: java.lang.Error: No such capture device! When I look into the src, there's a folder v4l in media/protocol, but when I look into the jar, media/protocol has no subfolders!
    So I guess it's missing...
btw: jmfinit, registry etc works all fine, but I can't access to v4l-device in my scripts.

if Jmfinit works fine then all you need to do is get your environment variables right.
    like this:
    JMFHOME=/usr/lib/jmf; export JMFHOME
    CLASSPATH=${JMFHOME}/lib/jmf.jar:${JMFHOME}/lib:${JMFHOME}/lib/sound.jar:${CLASSPATH}; export CLASSPATH
    LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.:${JMFHOME}/lib:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH};
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
I had the same problem and this worked for me. ;-)

  • Com.sun.media.protocol.sunvideo

    hi all ,
I downloaded the latest JMF v2.1.1e and also the JMStudio example. When I try to compile there seems to be missing packages from the jmf.jar file:
    com.sun.media.protocol.sunvideo
    com.sun.media.protocol.sunvideoplus
    com.sun.media.protocol.v4l
    com.sun.media.protocol.dsound
    com.sun.media.protocol.vfw
The source code for JMStudio references several classes from these packages. Where did they get to and how do I get them?

When I try to compile there seems to be missing packages from the jmf.jar file:I'm pretty sure those are only included with the various performance packs. VFW, for example, should only be included with the Windows Performance pack. Those packages are probably just JNI wrappers for the native code.

  • UC520 CCA 3.1 Error: com.cisco.nm.lib.cmdsvc.cmdsvc

I always get this error com.cisco.nm.lib.cmdsvc.cmdsvc when connecting to my uc520 and after this error nothing works right within CCA. I actually have to do a force close within task manager on the application to get it to exit out. I have done changes via ssh and I've heard that this can have an impact. how can I tell where in the config file the issues are and howto fix this?
    thanks

    Hi Jesse,
    Sorry for the late reply
OK here is what I do, I always have a dedicated PC for running CCA (Yes sounds like an expensive way of doing it) but I normally use one of those <$200 laptops with a vanilla flavored Windows 7 install on it, I also turn everything off such as Firewall, UAC, AV etc..etc.. Then I install the latest version of Java and Flash onto it before installing CCA.
This is then my dedicated CCA building system, the only time you panic is when there is a new version to install, occasionally the upgrade causes unusual issues and to-date still do not know why. But all-in-all a dedicated system removes all issues and all possibilities of issues to a greater degree.
Following applications I run on this dedicated system to support the UC deployments:
    CCA  (Obviously)
PSPad (Free text editing software and very valuable)
    Solarwinds or 3Cdaemon TFTP client
Cisco Configuration Professional (Just incase you have to work on any ISR's or 800 series routers)
Cute PDF if you want to turn Topology views into PDF for record keeping
Putty or my preferrence SecureCRT for CLI work
These are the basic essentials and a great place to start
    Cheers,
    David.

  • Cisco ISE protocols for ldap and Windows wireless client

Only the protocols below are supported by ise in combination with ldap identity sources.
    EAP-GTC, PAP, EAP-TLS, PEAP-TLS.
Mac OS devices seem to be able to use these but Windows users seem to be having problems. How should windows users connect with ise that only uses ldap?

    Mathieu,
Take a look at the user guide for NAM -
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/vpn_client/anyconnect/anyconnect30/administration/guide/ac04namconfig.html
You will see the protocols support like GTC that should allow you not to have to deploy certs.
    Thanks.

  • Com.cisco.app.Application Task inactive Exception

    uccx 7.0 cucm 7.0
In the contact summary report (real time reporting)and in the historical report, we got aborted contact.
We verified the programmation of our icd extensions there is no error and we still get aborted call with the same error. Can someone help me on that issue?

    Example:
On Exception Goto (ContactInactiveException) Goto END
    Accept
    ...rest of script...
    Disconnect [Label: DISCONNECT_END]
    End [Label: END]
Note that callers will (and should) show as abandoned if this exception is caught. You might want to review my answer to another post if you want to control this at a more granular level:

  • [virtualbox][solution] UCCX editor hangs at 81% "Starting com.cisco.file.FileManager manager"

Hey guys, just wanted to post this here so it's documented somewhere.
If you're running windows in a virtualbox environment, and you run into an issue where UCCX editor hangs at 81% for a while -- finally loads, but won't actually connect to your CCX node (e.g. reactive script debug doesn't work, viewing the script repository doesn't work), I believe I've found a solution.
I've been racking my brain on this for the last couple hours, tried uninstalling and reinstalling, manually swapping out java versions, deleting every registry key I could find, to no avail. Then I fired up wireshark and looked at the traffic, and noticed a couple of tcp retransmits coming from the UCCX node. Just on a whim, I changed my guest's interface to a bridged interface, rather than 1:1 NAT, and everything immediately started working as expected (and no more retransmits!).
There's a small chance this might not have anything to do with virtualbox's gateway -- maybe it's just because my dhcp server hands me option 15 and 119, whereas virtualbox's dhcp server doesn't.
So yeah.. this isn't a question -- just hoping this helps someone googling for this issue 6 months down the road.

Thanks for sharing this.  The 81% file.FileManager issue has been discussed a few times on the forums without resolution.

  • Skill Group Name is not coming on Cisco CTI Tool Kit real time status

    Hi,
I have UCCE 9.0.3 in my environment but when supervisor is monitoring agent state on CTI Toolkit Team Real Time Status we are not able to see Skill Group name.
For your reference I have enclosed screen shot of that.

    Hi,
first, read this document: Recommended Tracing Levels for Troubleshooting IPCC Issues. Apply the recommended trace levels to the following services:
    CTI OS Server
    CTI Server
But first take note of the original values (so you can switch back to normal tracing).
Dump the logs for both the above services: How to Use the Dumplog Utility.
    For instance: dumplog ctisvr /hr 1 /of c:\temp\ctisvr.log
    Post the logs to here.

  • Unity Express 8.6.7 intgration with CUCM 10?

I'm working on a 2911, with a ISM-SRE-300-K9 running CUE 8.6.7 (confirmed clean install).  The CTI Ports are not registering with CUCM, all the steps have been triple checked, yet they don't register.
The CUE talks to CM fine and pulls the 4 CTI Ports we configured on CUCM, but if you click the 'show available ports in CUCM" it immediately crashes the CUE and it reboots.
I have a case open and it may be a bug, but wanted to see if anyone here has CUE working with CUCM 10.
    Thanks-

Yes, confirmed that is all correct.
The ports don't register and when you click "expand to also show available ports on cucm" the CUE crashes:
CRASH appsServices startup startup.sh System has crashed. The trace buffer information is stored in the file "atrace_save.log". You can upload the file using "copy log" command
if I enable jtapi debugs, it just says out of service:

  • CUPC 8.6 Desk phone control

Currently running CUCM 8.6 along with CUPS 8.6.  Currently we are able to get the softphone to register and make calls, but we can not get deskphone control.  When we look at server health on the CUPC client, we just keep seeing "Connecting" and the correct servers are identified.  We do have the user set in CUPS with the CTI_Gateway application profile, we have the phone associated with the user, in CUCM,  we have the user in the correct end user call manager groups, and we have the line associated with that user. Not sure what else we are missing here.
    Matt

    Matt,
In all my experience with troubleshooting CUPC Desk Phone control issues the "connecting" message in the help show server health typically points to a CTI Manager login failure.  There is an easy way to confirm this:
Enable detailed logging on the client, restart it and try to obtain desk phone control.  Immediately create a problem report.  In this report you can go to CUCSF-XXXXXXX -> Client Services Framework -> Local Settings -> Logs -> CiscoJtapixx.log  (select the most recent one based on timstamps).
You will see the following sequence of messages:
    com.cisco.cti.protocol.ProviderOpenRequest
    com.cisco.cti.protocol.ProviderOpenResponse
    com.cisco.cti.protocol.ProviderOpenCompletedEvent
In the Provider Open Completed event you will more than likely see an error message in the failure description.  This typically is a simple failure or a directory login timeout.
If this is the case the most common cause is due to the LDAP Autheentication settings on Call Manager.  Typically people are using 389 which can not respond in time and cause these timeouts.  I recommend trying to use port 3268 (the global catalog port).  If you need to change this LDAP setting you will need to restart the CTI Manager service on all nodes for it to take effect.
If you have issues diagnosing the problem, don't hesitate to post the problem report.
    Regards,
    Jason

Forgot to mention that we have already tried that, as well as many other things on the user's end.  Here is a list of everything we have done on the user's end.
Uninstall and reinstall Cisco Agent Desktop - Been done numerous time
A complete format of the hard drive and a reinstall of Windows and CAD - Been done 2 times
Swapped out hard drive and put into different laptop, no difference
Uninstalled all security software, made no difference
    Upgraded all Windows drivers
Had user work on wireless connection instead of wired
    Tried a couple different phones
After trying all this it is hard to believe that this problem stems from the user's end.  Is there anything on the server end that might cause this?  And if so where is the first place to look?

  • IMac 8,1 Random Freezing

    Hey guys,
My computer has started randomly freezing in the past few months. As I'd migrated from a MacBook with a lot of crap on it, I tried a reformat, but to no avail. I also thought it might be my RAM as I ran Memtest and it came up with errors, so I replaced my 2 Gb of RAM with 4 Gb of RAM. It was fine for a while, but now the freezing has started again.
Here's a log of a period in which it crashed. I can't pin point exactly where, but I think it might be from 4:59 to 5:00.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers,
         Thomas.
