Commitment management settings

hi gurus,
can anyone tell me the settings required to activate commitment management in internal orders.
When iam trying to create PR/PO for an internal order for which budget is allocated it is not showing the value of PR/PO in commitment items.  What settings are required other then these:
1) controlling area (activate commitment)
2) order type (activate commitment)
3) order (activate commitment)

Hi
I am having the same problem about commitments at internal orders. I have done

Can anyone guide us and tell us about any missing step.

  • Hot Synch Manager Settings (Conflict Resolution)

    Hello,
I synch an office desktop and a home desktop with one Palm Z22.  I have had a lot of problems with duplicate appointments !  How should I configure the Hot Sync Manager settings?  I have the conduits (calendar, note pad, etc. ) set on "synchonize the files".  But when I click on "change" and then "settings", I'm brought to the option of "Conflict Resolution" and the choices are duplicate, Outlook wins, Handheld wins, or ignore.  Which should I choose if I want to avoid duplicate appointments ?
    Thank you.

Yes, that's what I'd set it to.  You want the information to flow in only one direction on the slave computer.   Handheld --> computer.

  • Color management settings for the best print output

Color Management while Printing has been one of the challenging areas which has been discussed a lot over user forums and has been a painful area in terms of clear understanding while taking print outputs.
Here is an easy-to-understand KB (Knowledge Base) article ‘Color management settings for the best print output’ to help you get the best from your printers using PSE and bridge that knowledge gap.
This article explains color management in Photoshop Elements, how to get better prints, and addresses some of the following issues like horizontal/vertical streaks in print output, too dark or too light print output, ICC profile problems and Color differences between prints from PSE and other applications.
    Thanks,
    Garry

    Thanks Noel.
Yes have shared in PSE forum as well. But I usually drop such posts on PS General forum so community moderators as well as our power users who mostly use both PS or PSE or are aware about can communicate to their students, audiences etc.
The idea is to reach out the message to as many as folks via relevant forums. Most of my otehr posts have found mentioned only on PSE forum.
Thanks for the feedback Nice to hear such a great feedback within 5 mts of publishing

  • Why does my MBP say "updating managed settings" when booting up?

    Hi all,
I just installed Mavericks onto my 2011 15" MBP the other day, and since then when I boot up, I get this message that says "updating managed settings" with an icon of a star and check mark inside of it.  It also takes longer to boot up.  I thought it might have something to do with OSX server, which I bought and installed a while ago, thinking I was gonna use it, which I never did.  I deleted Server from the apps folder last night into the trash, but that message is still appearing.  Any help would be great, thanks!

no, but it's definitely not due to a corrupt external drive. this happened with two different brands of drives. the first time with a lacie, i thought my MBP hard drive was damaged, but it was determined that a reinstall was all it needed. the same thing happened with an OWC. they both work fine. there seems to be some kind of a permission problem which gets screwed up somwhere.

  • Mac Mini client - management settings

    Hello
i have several clients that have been tested and i imagine the rest of them are the same.
When logging on i get the following
"This computer will be managed, would you like to continue with managed settings enabled?
Your System administrator has given you the option off disabling management settings"
which is followed by refresh preferences, disable and enable.
i have searched the internet, forums, WGM manuals but not sign of this message and i dont know when it has been set, can anyone suggest anything to help?
    thanks

i found out that the message only appeared when logged in as an administrator and was so that managed services could be cancelled.

  • Non valuated GR and commitment management

    Hello all,
we have the following problem: we use commitment management in PS. Our Purchase orders have setting for non valuated GR. So the costs are only recorded on PS with the Invoice receipt.
At month end when posting accruals for goods receipt but not invoice receipts we have the problem, that there is still a commitment from the PO on the project and therefore the accrual to be posted on the WBS element exceeds the available budget (because of the commitment coupled with the accrual we are essentially putting double the budget on the WBS assuming that the Purchase order is for 100% of the budget).
We cannot get rid of the unvaluated GR as it is a fiscal requirement. We also want to keep the commitment until the Invoice is receipt for obvious budget control reasons. Is there a way to swap the commitment with the accrual to be posted?
    Thanks
    KAi

the cost element used for accrual posting can be set in the configuration oin PS busdgeting where you can exempt for availability check
this way the accruals will not be included in the budget check

  • [SOLVED] Gimp does not honor KDE Task Manager Settings

I've configured the Task Manager to only display tasks from the current desktop. This works for every application except the Gimp, whose toolbox windows are shown in the task manager on every desktop. Is there some setting I could adjust to fix this?
I included a screenshot below that shows the following in order:
    1. the current task manager settings
    2. the task manager on desktop 2, where only gimp is open
    3. the task manager on desktop 1, where only firefox is open

I received two solutions to this from a moderator on the kde forums:
    - specify that that particular window skips the taskbar by right clicking title bar of the toolbox window -> more actions -> special window settings -> arrangement and access -> ...
    - use Gimp 2.8 single window mode

  • Best Color Management Settings for Web in CS3

I've seen tons of info on what color management settings can be used in CS3, but most seemed to favor work for printing. I'm just wondering what settings people think are best for color and B&W photo web work in particular... I already have both the monitor and PS set for 'sRGB IEC61966-2.1', but other than that, there seems to be a lot of opinions. I just want everything to have the best chance of looking the same on other comps as it did on mine. I also have Proof Setup set to 'Monitor RGB'.
    Thanks,

    1. Calibrate (I use ColorVision's Spyder http://aps8.com/spyder.html , but any hardware calibration device will be better than calibration by eye).
    2. Set the Working Space to sRGB.
    3. Set the Color Management Policy for RGB to Convert to Working to be sure you are converting content to sRGB. (2 & 3 addressses pfigen's concern about making sure all images are sRGB.)
    4. Make sure your monitor is set to use the ICC profile generated by the calibration device.
    5. Turn off Proof Colors.
    6. Embed profiles or not, but if you do use the sRGB profile. Whether it gets used or not is another story.
As far as B&W, pfigen suggests Gamma 2.2, which would seem to be right for PC. Mac users might consider Gamma 1.8.
This should work well for most situations, but guaranteed consistency is an impossible task at this point.

  • Need color management settings for photoshop version 8.0

I need to reset the color management settings for photoshop 8.0. Can someone let me know what are the correct defaults?

Probably the most commonly used is "North American Prepress 2" but which you choose depends entirely on the kind of work you are currently doing.

  • Color Management Settings

I'm not sure what to set my color management settings up as!  I've been told a few different things!  I shoot in Adobe RGB, but I've been told to set my working space to SRGB and then to set the color management policies to "Convert to working RGB, CMYK, and Gray."  Then I've also been told to set the working space to Adobe RGB (1998) and then under "coversion options"  change the "intent" to "perceptual."
Regardless of which setting I try to use, the coloring when I view it in Photoshop is much more yellow than when I view it on my monitor.  I have callibrated my monitor, so I'm assuming the problem is within Photoshop.  How do I fix this so that the colors match???
    Thank you,
    Jacalyn

I've been told to set my working space to SRGB and then to set the color management policies to "Convert to working RGB"
Yes, I'd back up what the previous poster says. Where did you get this advice? its extremely poor advice. If its valid at all, this would only apply to people doing an extremely narrow, low end type of work - destined ONLY for the internet.
'Autoconvert' in Color Settings is pretty nasty, it takes every file and converts it. And sRGB is a pretty dumb profile, I've always reckoned - as Bart says, its low gamut, designed for 'lowest common denominator' displays.
Spyder, and your monitor calibration: (because it sounds like your profile isnt being picked up) - I did some research and believe that there may be a "ProfileChooser" application somewhere on PC? - always thought  monitor profiles should be stored somewhere in PC control panels. But lord knows whats happening with these settings on PC these days. On mac it does all this much more intuitively of course.;-)
But here's a thread I found where someone had a problem similar to yours…

  • Laptop Losing Color Management Settings When Docking or Undocking

I originally posted this to the general Windows 7 support forum; however, one of the support engineers recommended that I move it here as I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise, so here it is...
I am running Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64-bit on a Dell Latitude E6540 with a docking station.  I have color-calibrated the display on the laptop as well as an external display attached to the docking station.  Whenever I undock the computer, the
system resets the color management settings and I lose the color calibration on the laptop's display.  I then have to go in manually through the Control Panel and re-apply the calibration profile to get things back to normal.
I have everything set up so that the calibrated profile is the default profile for the system and I've verified that this is the case whether or not the machine is docked, but it still loses the calibration settings every time.  All video system drivers
are updated and current as well.
Any thoughts or ideas on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Sophia,
Thanks for the link to the article.  While I still suspect that the color calibration issue is related to the Intel drivers, the only response that I'm able to get from Intel is that it is a Windows operating system problem and not theirs.
To be clear, the issue described in this article does relate specifically to power savings, which are typically only enabled when running on battery.  I do have this particular setting disabled on my laptop in order to maintain color accuracy for
    my work.
My issue is clearly with the Color Calibration Profiles.  The default profile for the laptop, which appears to have no actual calibration at all, has the screen showing a very heavy blue bias.  The bias is so strong, that the frames around the
windows, ribbons in the Microsoft Office apps, etc., which should be grey, are displayed as blue.  The blue bias also tends to wash out most of the other colors and makes the screen look dull and unsaturated.  However, as soon as my Color Calibration
Profile is used, the Windows elements display as grey and the screen colors look much more vibrant.  It really is a night and day difference.
When booting up the system or logging into my user account, even on the default blue Windows screens, you can clearly see the change when my Color Calibration Profile is loaded by the system just before it brings up the desktop.  Once loaded, it remains
working, as I've said, until the computer is undocked or docked.  Then it immediately reverts to the default Color Calibration Profile and the screen shifts back into the blue range again.
I think that for another test, I'm going to remove all of the calibration profiles except for mine and see if that has any affect.  If it doesn't, I'll rename my profile to the same name as the default profile and see if that does anything.  It's
just something that I thought of now to try.  I'll let you know how it goes.

  • USB ports power management settings

An All-In-One HP Printer, Scanner, Copier is connected via USB cable, directly to one of the two USB ports in the Macbook. When the Macbook is put in sleep mode, the connection between the HP and the Macbook is interruped (I presume) because in sleep mode, the power (from the computer) to the USB ports is turned OFF, instead of being kept alive, or even reduced. Upon waking up, the HP's functions are partially disabled, e.g. there is no possibility of scanning a document. Restoring all the functions requires uninstalling the HP software, when some of its components have to be trashed manually, and reinstall the software. HP technical support has been very responsive both in contents and in speed, but suggest that the problem might be caused by the power being turned OFF to the USB ports, when the Macbook goes into sleep mode. They suggest either to power OFF the AIO HP before putting the Macbook to sleep, and powering ON the AIO after the Macbook wakes up and regains complete functionality. They also suggest to change the settings of Power Management to the USB ports. I have searched the forums here, and the web in general, but have found no indication that it is possible to change or even access the settings of the power that feeds the USB ports of the Macbook. After this long introduction, for which I apologize, here come two questions. 1) Is there a way, maybe via Terminal, to change the USB power management settings, and how? 2) If there is no such way, would it be possible to work around the problem by connecting the AIO, via USB cable, to a powered USB hub (connected to the Macbook), instead of connecting it directly to the Macbook's USB port, the "rationale" being that the USB hub is always powered, and stays powered when the Macbook is put in sleeping mode. Thanks in advance.

I have solved the issue by turning OFF the printer before sleeping or turning off the computer itself.

  • Printing Colour Issues - colour management settings

    Hi there
I've been having some serious printing problems recently when I print from InDesign CS5 and also from Acrobat when printing PDFs exported from InDesign.
All of the print out colours a wrong (such as Blacks printing as pink)
I have tried changing several settings, but nothing seems to be fixing it.
I've replaced all my inks and I can print fine when printing in other programs such as word, so its not an ink issue.
My printer is a Canon MP540
I'm using a Mac, on OS X Lion.
I think i'm using the default colour management settings, however could this possibly be the issue?- which settings might work?
I would REALLY APPRECIATE any help with this issue!
    Many Thanks

if I look at the same image in the default 'Preview' on Mac, the
colours look different to what I see in PS
First, that would clearly indicate your image does not have an embedded profile, or Ps is being told to ignore the embedded profile — Ps is applying a different profile (or it may have been dinked around with in its Edit> Color Settings> More Options> Advanced Controls).
It is best for most people not to dink around with Color Settings> More Options...to get back a Default starting point, just select a preset like North American Prepress 2.
I know there are a million posts and articles on this complex subject
You only need one good article to grasp the basic issues.
The short answer is you are either missing something in scenario One, or you are hitting a bug.
When Photoshop setups a correct SourceSpace-to-PrintSpace Conversion the Epson will print your file faithfully if your Source Color is within print gamut and your Print Space reflects an accurate ICC profile to the specific printer-paper-ink you are printing to.
I would recommend testing with a known good file like the download Photodisc PDI test image (so bad files don't confuse the process)...

  • Trust Manager Settings greyed out

I have just upgraded to Reader 9.3.2 through a GPO and now when I open a pdf file with links to other pdf files I get a block when I try to click on the link. It never gives me the choice to allow or block, it just blocks. When I go to Edit>Preferences>Trust Manager>Settings all the settings are greyed out and I cannot add any sites to allow. Has anyone seen this problem and if so what is the fix.  I have had to revert back to Reader 9.3.1

The problem has been solved in another discussion.
    See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/622118?tstart=60
I was using the exe file from Adobe's ftp site. That file won't work but if you download the MSI file and follow the procedure outlined in the above thread it should work for you.
Also I have always been under the impression that the msi file on the ftp site contained Adobe Air and Abobe.com but I was wrong. So try it with that file.
    Here is the ftp site.

  • Script Events Manager settings don't stick

I'm using Photoshop CS 3 version 10.0 and I can't seem to get Script Events Manager settings to work between launches of the program.
I choose File > Scripts > Script Events Manager.
In the dialog box, I select the Enable Events to Run Scripts/Actions checkbox.
From the Photoshop Event menu I choose Open Document.
I select the Action radio button, then choose the action I want.
    I click Add button.
I close Script Events Manager dialog box.
Everything works as intended, until I quit Photoshop and then launch it again, at which point the Script Events Manager settings have reverted to their default state, without my preferred Open action functioning any more.
Is there any way to get my settings to become the new default so I don't have to repeat the above steps every time I launch Photoshop?

Thanks, but I failed to mention I'm running Mac OS X 10.10.2 (Yosemite).
It reminds me of failure to save preferences problems I've had in the past with other apps. Repairing prefs with Disk Utility doesn't help, BTW.
Can anyone tell me the file name and location where this Script Events Manager setting is saved? Perhaps deleting that file and restarting will fix the issue…
