Committed Spend calculation in SPM

Hello all,
I would like to know where exactly does committed spend get calculated and what is the logic in calculating committed spend?
0XSASPNACOM - I see that there is some calculation in the DTP between DS01 --> DS09 which means Inbound layer Invoices to Detail Layer PO DSO. But there is no calculation between Inbound Layer PO --> Detail Layer PO DSO.
We have some discrepancies in the amount shown for committed spend and hence would like to know how it gets calculated to verify the numbers.
Thanks,
Prasanna

Hello all,
To Load the Data in a correct way, first we need to load PO (0ASA_DS04->0ASA_DS09) activate and then load Invoices (0ASA_DS01->0ASA_DS09)?
I ask because I have a doubt related to the use of the DTP and Transformation from Inovices to Purchase Order (ASA TF for PO Integration: 0ASA_DS01 -> ODSO 0ASA_DS09), I loaded all the DATA into SPM but I notice that this DTP is not used , I review the chains involved in the process(Invoices 0ASA_P041, PO 0ASA_P043) but the DTP is not used. The Release of the BI_CONT Component is 704 and the level is 005, is correct that the DTP has not been used. or I need to update manually the PO chain.
Thanks in advance,,
Greetings RB.

  • Committed Spend / Quantity

    Hi
The following fields are being populated in the detail layer  and are not mapped to the reporting layer in the standard transformation but the fields are being used in the reports
    0XSASPNACOM     Committed Spend Amount
    0XSASPNQCOM     Committed Spend Quantity
0XSARPOSTAT     Purchase Order Committed Spend Status
    0XSASPNACOT     Commited Spend Amount (Document)
Do we need to manually map the fields in the transformation
    Regards
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
Yes these field are required for reporting, you can walk through the spend analytics reporting.
These fields should be mapped when you activate the initial data model however you can still map fields manually from detailed layer PO DSO.
Committed spend amount and quantity key figures are calculated values within BI , I suggest you to verify in exert routine from inbound to detail PO DSO
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

  • Commited Spend Amount / Quantity in Document Currency

    Hi
The Transformation (ASA TF for PO Integration: 0ASA_DS01 -> ODSO 0ASA_DS09)  loads the following Key Figure in PO Detail Layer
    0XSASPNACOM Committed Spend Amount
    0XSASPNQCOM  Committed Spend Quantity
But the PO Detail Layer does not load the same in Document Currency as a result the Committed Spend Amount (Document) and  (Local) are not showing any result in the SPM UI reports
Please let me know if we have missed any thing which is preventing the loading.
    regards

    Hi Malathai,
    0XSASPNACOM Committed Spend Amount
    0XSASPNQCOM Committed Spend Quantity
Are the global values i.e. whatever you have defined as your global currency during the data loading. These fields will be populated with the spend amount from your invoice amount where the invoices have a corresponding PO in the PO DSO.
There are two more key figures
    0XSASPNACOT
    0XSASPNQCOT
That are (presumably) for capturing the committed spend amounts and quantities in the transaction value.
If you examine the expert routine you describe, you will note that these aren't actually being populated here.
You may wish to code these in yourself and/or raise an OSS message if they are required.
    Kind regards
    Neil

  • Committed Date Calculation in an STO

    Hello,
Can anyone detail how exactly the committed date is calculated during an availability check for an STO?.
    Thanks.

STO Delivery Date is receipt date at destination location. This minus Transportation Lead time is STO requirement date at source.
When you conduct ATP check for this PO/STO, your committed date is updated at source and delivery date will be updated as committed date plus TL lead time. Also check SAP help at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/en/41/191fce45fd11d188ff0000e8322f96/frameset.htm

  • Commitment Value calculation in CJI5 Report

    Hi All,
    I am using ECC 6.0 EhP4.
While running CJI5 report, I am facing one issue as when I run CJI5 report for Open Items only then no output is appearing but if I remove this check box indicator then some Purchase Order are appearing with Val/CO Area Currency = 0 for all PO.
So wanted to know on what basis system is showing commitment against those PO number. I checked all PO and found that all are closed.
I think somehow PO commitment not get transferred to ...?
How should I deal with this issue? Any Guess...?
Also in S_ALR_87013558 report is showing commitment value but this commitment values not getting matched with Line Items
Frankly speaking I dont know for which column should I compare this value in Line Item report of S_ALR_87013558.
Also if PO get Closed then COOI table should show line items against that PO ot not?
    Please suggest.
    Swapnil Kharul

    Hello Ahmed,
    Thanks for your reply.
Actually RPSCO is showing one Line Item against VT=22.
And also while WBS Element Closed message is appearing as -
"There is still a purchase order commitment for WBS E.XXXX.XXX.XX
        Message no. KO447
So I think there is still commitment as this one is standard message.
    What you say?
    Many Thanks.

  • Commitment limit calculation

    Dear All,
The commitment limit is located in the business partner payment terms tab. How the system calculate this limit ? I've got the system message customer has exceeded commitment limit when trying to copy sales order to delivery. I ticked sales order, delivery and A/R invoice tick box on general settings BP tab. Pls give advice. Tks
    Rgd
    Steve

    Hello,
Commitment limit is a limit of sum of documents total +
account balance + undeposited check amount - open delivery (of last period).
If commitment limit is belows the total of above formula, system message will give a warning.
As about documents total, it consists of current period open sales order. The general formula is <the customer's account balance> + <the total amount of un-deposited checks> + <the amount of the current document>. You coudl read SBO help file for more detail

  • Commitment calculation partial reception of Services PO

Due to the Public Sector Management implementation, we changed our customizing setting it like this in SPRO and CUNI transaction:
    CUNI:
    Application parameters:
    x Commercial meas. unit
    SPRO:
Material Management - External Services Management - Source Determination and Default values - For Client:
    x Service line level commitments.
This solved our issues for documents generated after the change of configuration, before this, commitments were incorrectly consumed entirely when posting a partial reception of services purchase orders.
The problem we are having right now is that we are identifying different behaviors in the commitment calculation between:
    1) Purchase orders generated before changing customizing.
    2) Purchase orders generated after the change in customizing.
In the first one, the partial reception reduced entirely the purchase order commitment (table COOI) and in the second one commitment was calculated correctly after a partial reception.
Additionally, we tried to fix the commitment calculation by using the RKANBU01 program, but it does not work as long as we maintain the unit of measurement u2018EAu2019 as u2018Commercial measurement unitu2019 in CUNI transaction.
Can somebody help me understand why this happens, meaning why does the system behave differently in these two cases having the same setting in customizing right now.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind Regards!

    Hi,
If all 5 services line item are include in single service entry sheet document, then you can't delete single service line item.
But your service entry sheet documents are different for all service line item then you can delete any one service entry sheet with ML81N.
Note: - Invoice documents is not generated against your service entry sheet documents.

    Hi Ganesh
Spend Analytics, or Spend Performance Management (SPM) as its now referred to is an analytical tool for analyzing procurement data. I am the dev architect of this product and can try and answer any question you might have.
SPM comes with a extractor starter kit for ECC, SRM and eSourcing.
This application is based on BW backend and Flex frontend.

  • Configuring error message in BEx link in SPM 2.1

    Hi,
Currently working on Spend Performance Management(SPM) 2.1 application. I am trying to configure error message which pops up along with BEx link whenever we run reports with large amount of data.
I would like to configure error message so that it displays "Large data in report", hence user find it easier to understand why he is being given BEx link.
    Please guide me on this.
    Regards,
    Deeraj.

    Hi ,
As suggested above , you'd have to remove content creator role if your user profile has it .
    When you go to
    -  application properties > General > Warning mesg for large reports(field) and
    -  change the default message ,
    -  hit save logout of the application ,
    -  log back in
    - go back to  application properties > General > Warning mesg for large reports(field) and
Do you see the message you had entered in step 2 above?

  • Percent Calculation Assistance Needed

What would be the best way, performance wise, to set a calculation that returns the percentage of a budget that is spent, even if the budget is set to 0?
Using just spend/budget as a custom item doesn't work, since sometimes the budget is 0.
As info, the spend is a summation of several invoices but the budget is not a summation. Should I be using the calculation of SUM(Spend), instead of using the default aggregate of SUM?
Budget is setup with a default aggregate of detail. Should that be changed?

Actually, you have two separate issues to deal with (ignoring the performance for now... we'll work on that later if necessary ;-):
    1) two measures to compare, with different levels of aggregations and
    2) divide by zero problem.
Savest way to solve 1) is to create a calculation with something like SUM(spend) OVER (PARTITION BY ... data-items-you-want-to-aggretate-on i.e. month, department ORDER BY same-items).
This makes sure that 'spend' always aggregates to the level you want. Disadvantage is that the calculation needs to be adjusted if you want another level of detail.
Now 2), you have to include an explicit "work around" for this. For example: CASE WHEN budget IS NOT NULL (or <> 0 - depends on contents of column budget) THEN (budget/sum(spend) - calculation you just created)/100 ELSE xxx. You decide how to handle the case where budget is zero, what should be after the ELSE. Should variance (result) be shown as 100% or 0% or ...?
    Succes!

  • Flat Data Load in Spend Performance Management

    Dear All,
We have a new Project, wherein Data from Various Flat Files (Flat Files from Multiple Non SAP Source Systems), needs to be loaded in SPM. We are new to SPM, any step by step documentation for loading Flat Files into SPM using Data Management Tool, will be really helpful.

  • Credit Limit Question

Does SAP store Credit limit Deviation or does it calculate on the fly. If so what documents are taken into account when determining if the customer is over the credit limit?
    Thank you
    Chintan

    Hi Chintan,
There is a report called 'Customers Credit Limit Deviation' under Business Partner Reports. If you want to see what is included in the credit/commitment level calculation, go to the Help (F1) file - it explains it in detail.
You can also set so a warning comes up if a user posts a transactions that affects the credit/commitment level - go to Admin / General Settings / BP tab to activate this warning.
