  • How to send alert when receiver JMS adapter fails? Please help!

    Hi experts,
I have the following Asynchronous scenario:
       SAP R/3 -
    >IDOC----->XI>JMS--->BizTalk.
I am sending IDOC from a given SAP R/3 system to XI. XI then sends the same to BizTalk via JMS adapter. In SXMB_MONI the message is successfully processed as it shows checked flag. But if I see the JMS communication channel status in runtime workbench then there it shows error saying JMS queue user id or password not found.
How to send this JMS adapter error as alert?
I also tried configuring alert rule in runtime workbench but still it does not trigger any error.
I have also verified the alert category and everything is fine with that.
What could be the problem? How can I send an alert when an Async adapter fails?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Gopal

    Hi! GOPAL,
Once make sure whther all the below mentioned steps are configured correctly or not ok
1: First make sure whether you are working on SAP XI or PI 7.1
               a) If XI you need to create Alerts (ALert Category) in CCMS ABAP stack in the
                        Tcode. ALRTCATDEF
               b) Open the alert category/classification definition environment (transaction ALRTCATDEF).
ensure you are in change mode.
               c) In the group box with the alert classifications, right-click All classifications to open the
                    context menu, and choose Create.
               d) Under Classification, enter a name for the classification.
               e) Under Description, enter a description of the classification.
               f)  Save your entries.
               g) Then go to RWB-->Go to ALERT Configuation and ADD the RULES to your alert category gor
which created there in the abap stack.
Note Suppose if you want those ALERTS to come to your MAIL then again go to ABAP STACK and go to Tcode.  ALRTCATDEF and select your alert category press FIxed Recepients and there give your SAP XI ID's then  u can see those alerts in RWB-->ALERT INBOX
Suppoe if you want those to mail then ask the basis team to link your company mail or personal mail ID to your SAP ID.
    2. Supppose if you are working on PI 7.1 Server.
Only difference is creating Alert Category...Here you can create your ALERT Classification I mean
alert caltegory in the ESR (Enterprise Service Repository )
         Software Component >S CVersion>NameSpace-->Alert Category.
You can configure how u configure there in abap stack such as long and short text every thing
except Fixed Receipients you need to give that recepients there only in ABAP STACK.
what ever ALERT CATEGORY you are creating will reflect there in the ABAP STACK
even you can Use these alerts Category in BPM --> CONTROL STEP -->Configure here in this step
You can also reach alerts like this.
NOTE  Most Important point is You can also view your mails or Alerts in the T Code:: SOST.

  • HT1430 iphone 3g won't send alert when get new mail

the subject says it all.  I believe all settings are correct.

Thanks.  I'd like the iPhone to make the sound I've chosen in setting when I receive an email.  Mail is sent and received normally. I looked here: http://email.about.com/od/iphonemailtips/qt/Set_Up_Push_Gmail_in_iPhone_Mail.htm and found some help but I still need more guidance.
There are two accounts, one Gmail (lots of settings), one with my email address ( .  It talks about exchange accounts which I know nothing about.  Which one should be deleted?  Very confusing for me.  You are right -  The subject leaves a lot out.  My bad.

  • Send Alerts(e-mail) for errors in SXMB_MONI(message mapping exceptions)

    Good afternoon !
I´m configuring SAP Netweaver PI 7.0(SP13) to use Alert Framework to send Alerts when errors occurs in the interfaces processing.
I just achieved configure to send alerts when errors ocurrs in the Adapter Framework but, I can´t configure correctly to send alerts when errors ocurred only in SXMB_MONI(for example, message mapping exception in asyncronous interface).
I just followed the instructions at Michal Krawczyk
weblog(/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step) and, initially, this was not sufficient to start to send alert when errors occurs only on SXMB_MONI, so, I researched and found some configurations to do in CCMS(started from here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/e3/bf3b7a8ccb8040b638ff732c551aeb/content.htm), jobs to start events collectors, etc, and after this, I could see a mail for an message mapping exception. BUT, this message, sent from CCMS to ALM, doesn´t carry out all the message parameters, like message Id, sender(service, interface), receiver(service, interface), that is very important to help to find the message with errors to be solved.
There is somebody here that already done the Alert configuration to send messages for errors found only in SXMB_MONI(Monitor for processed XML Messages) ?
There is a better way to achieve this ?
            Thank you for your attention,

  • Sending alerts with CS-MARS

    Hi people,
I have a CS-MARS and need to send alerts when specific events occurs. Using the action field in the inspection rules, this is achieved without problems.
But, I need configure alerts by a most general way, like for events of a specific severity or rule group, and not rule by rule. How can I configure CS-MARS by this way?
    I'm waiting for a reply.
    Regards,
    brHS.

You cannot do this in ether case AFAICT. What you might be able to do is configure the action for all inspection rules to send a syslog to the ip address of the MARS box. Then create a "keyword" inspection rule to specifically fire based on the severity shown in the syslog message. Here is an example of what the syslogs look like:
    <34>Mon Jan 7 13:51:08 2008 %MARS-1-101: Rule 205795 (Local Administrators group - membership modified) fired and caused yellow Incident 747340504, starting from Mon Jan 7 13:50:57 2008 to Mon Jan 7 13:50:57 2008
The rule name is "Local Administrators group - membership modified" and the Severity of the incident is yellow.

  • How to make use of notify-send to get alerted when a chat-message arrives?

I would like to get notified, if a chat-message arrives. I tried two add-ons, both will play a sound, but not show a notification-window, as promised, so I'd like to do it myself, using `notify-send`. I suppose, that'll take to listen to a fitting event and execute notify-send, can someone please give me a hint, how to do that? Docs are rare.
Using Thunderbird 24.4.0 on Ubuntu 12.04
    TIA, ida

    Hi Matt and sfhowes,
I have tried several-addons with no success and suspect a problem with my Ubuntu, as they don't show any problem-reports of other users.
Writing a Thunderbird-add-on is a little bit challenging and not as well supported than writing a Firefox-Add-on. Also the used JS-func for alerting, when messages arrive, shows a lot of bug reports.
So I decided to go for a shell-script-solution now, listening to a fitting child-process and sent notificia. I will post it , when it's finished.
    Thanks for your replies

  • How to send alerts from XI BPM to Portal's UWL? Please help!

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where I have to send the alerts triggered in XI BPM (for any system or business errors) to Portal's universal worklist. XI and the portal are two separate systems.
In XI BPM I have control step to trigger alerts.
    I am using XI3.0 (PI 7.0) and Portal 7.0
    1. What configurations are needed to achieve this?
    2. How will the userids in Portal be enabled so that they receive alerts from XI in UWL? Do I have to do anything special from userid perspective?
    3. Are there any limitations?

  • Requirement for Alert when outbound idocs are failing

    SAP A -
    IDOCS -
    >  SAP B
We currently have a SAP A system sending outbound idocs to SAP B system via ALE. The current issue is when SAP B system is down. The outbound idocs being sent from SAP A system fail.
We want to get a alert when the System B is down.
What are the options available in SAP to achieve this requirement.
Thanks in advance for any inputs that will be provided.
    Regards,
    Chandra Kumar

    Dear Chandra,
The logical solution to the problem is as below,
You need to have a Function module which checks the RFC connections between two systems before sending idoc. If the connection is found OK then the idoc should be send else a Alert message should be raised u201CSystem B is down, idoc can not be processedu201D
Please let me know if this solution helped in resolving your query.

Unfortunately, we were unable to replicate and SAP was unable to investigate because of this.  They did provide a bit of information in their response of Aug 6 I have included below.  Hopefully that may help your situation reWgarding this message.
Our message expired (confirmed automatically) on Sep 20th.  I have not had another report of this from our call centre since we applied the Support Packs (3,4,5) on August 16th.

    Hello Donna,
Thanks for understanding the problem. Yes we know some customer getting
the message but when this error will come is very clear on the below
    scenarios.
    1. the customer uses https protocol and if the ssl is not correctly
configured then when they send an alert message / broadcast message the
    message will appear.
    2. Always when they a alert message is to be displayed/ or when sending
a broadcasting message / while clicking on the END button.
But this will happen always but not randomly.
So we will hope that the message will not come after you do an
    upgrade.

Unfortunately, we don't know how to reproduce this issue so it will be
very difficult to move forward until we understand what is causing it.
I was hoping the message might be familiar to someone at SAP Support
and SAP might provide some clues on what could be causing it.
We will be applying Support Packs 3, 4 and 5 in our Production
Environment in a couple of weeks and maybe that will make a difference
and this message will not appear again after that.
Thank you for your time and effort - you can put the message back in
our court after you read this and I will let it expire on the auto
close date - on the off chance that the issue pops up again after our
go-live with Support Packs, I will supply further info if I can prior
to the auto close date if we have reoccurence of the message.

You need to create a user-id in SAP XI/PI corresponding to your user and then assign this user-id to the recipient list in ALRTCATDEF.
