Configure products in Lead document SAP CRM7.0 EhP1

Hello,
We are implementing configurable products in CRM, in order to use them
in Sales Documents, and everything works fine.
Now we need to use these configurable products in Lead documents, but
nothing appears in order to configure products. Is something missing to
make this available?
Best Regards,
Susana Morgado

Hi Susana
I did some more study on lead transaction and following is my conclusion.
Technical: The configuration explosion is performed using IPC in transaction processing. The leading business transaction category for Lead Transaction is BUS2000108 and BUS200129 for Lead Item. These categories ristricts the transaction structure from triggring event for calling IPC as an lead can be created without products, with zero quantity products and also with just product categories. Since IPC is not called the product configuration cannot be exploded in Lead transaction unless an enhancement is performed at the object level itself. Which would be very complex. The same is applicable for activity transaction.
Business Logic: From a business process persective the main objective of Lead transaction is to capture the customer's interest and put a qualification around the same. If the customer interest is identified as high and the qualification helps the organization in making the decision of taking the lead forward into sales cycle and start investing organization's resources on the prospect, then the lead is converted into Opportunity. At the lead level it is still not clear which products or services will suite the customer requirements best. It is at the opportunity level where the detailed discussion are performed and captured to identify the precise needs of the customer and preparing the solution to fulfill customer needs. Hence opportunity is the transaction where the product configuration is performed and solution is created for the customer.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

  • Configuration product lifecycle in sap

    Hi,
Could you pls help me to get a configuration document for product life cycle in SAP?
    Thanks,
    Vijesh

    Hi,
I would recommend you have a look at the (cross-plant) material status and its related Customizing. This should help you with your product life-cycle status management:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_07/helpdata/en/ff/515dd249d811d182b80000e829fbfe/content.htm?frameset=/en/ff/515c2049d811d182b80000e829fbfe/frameset.htm&current_toc=/en/ff/516a6749d811d182b80000e829fbfe/plain.htm&node_id=42
On top of that, you could leverage SAP PLM Web UI Status and Action Management for managing the status changes:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_07/helpdata/en/f9/8ceb3db76a401bac4c456d718d0f46/frameset.htm
For additional governance, Engineering Change Management might be applied.

  • Configurable Product in SAP CRM 5.0

    Hi All,
    I'm using CRM 5.0.
In CRM 5.0, i should download material, sce, and condition type from R/3 or ECC.
Is it possible for create material, sce, and condition type in CRM? Is it possible for create configurable product in CRM? Not download from R/3 or ECC.
If possible, In which t-code should i access in CRM?
    Thanks.

    Hi Fariz,
In sapgui, you can use transaction commpr01 to create products. Once you click on create button, you will be asked to enter product category. Next to that will be a check box named 'Configurable', which you can check to make the product configurable.
For more info on Product creation, you may also refer to the foll link:

  • Copy of leading document(PO) not having the same data as created in SRM

    SRM5.0 Extended Classic Scenario
I have created the SC and PO for that is created successfully as 700006304.
Now when I am trying to create any SC after that, the leading document of EBP goes into error in process in follow on document block.
All the successive PO 7000063041, 7000063042 are going into error in process and displaying another data in the backend with the creation of goods/receipt and invoice. When I try to go into that invoice it says that it doesnot exist.
When I see in the backend found out that data that I have taken for creating the PO is not copied to ECC system , It displays some another data, may be fetching different PO data having confirmation and invoice detail which i have not done at the SRM side.
As we know that the leading document of EBP (PO) is copied to the ECC system in ECS( Extended classic scenario) but in our case I am surprised that from where it is fetching the different data for the copy of leading document in backend.
I have scheduled  the two background jobs too mentined below even then this problem is not corrected.
    1) BBP_GET_STATUS_2
    2) ZCLEAN_REQREQ_UP
    Kindly advice.

    I have seen details in BBP_PD :-
For first PO its displaying workflow status complete & Document Completed. Its fine.
For the successive PO's  - Status is Transfer Failed (E.Sys). But workflow status is complete.
I have checked the external number range at SRM and ECC side too.
At SRM side ,Number range set up for PO
From Number 7000000000 To Number 7999999999 Current Number 7000063059
At ECC ,Number range set uo for PO
No - 70, From Number 7000000000 To NUmber 7099999999 Current Number 'Blank'
External munber range is set at ECC for SRM PO.
There is no overlaps for the different document type PO range .
    Kindly Advice.

  • Configurable product - ERP E-commerce 5.0

    I did the folowing steps
Knowledge bases and runtime versions are created
    1) Event Handler is maintained in Table TBE31
    2) IPC is maintained as consumer in table CRMCONSUM
    3) Table CRMRFCPAR is not maintained  as we are on ECC 6.0 (Do I need to maintain this)
    4) The JCO user is maintained with the authorization objects S_RFC and S_MI_ADMCO
    5) Initialized the DB using report CFG_AP_INITIALISE_DB
    6) Request for the Knowledge base and version  -- using report CFG_AP_REQUEST_DB
log shows every thing green ... but dont think the Knowledge base is uploaded.
    7)  ipc/admin/xcm/init.do  ...XCM is configured for application type "erp" and the component "jco"
Is there any thing I am missing ... any suggestion why I am getting this error.
    Thank you
    Ram

    Hi Chris,
I have moved to test environment and started working on a clean slate.
I understand what you are trying to tell regarding maintaining the XCM scenario in variant config (SPRO).
I have complete the following steps.
    1) Activated VMC
    2) IPC is set active in Shop Management.
    3) Table TBE31 is maintained for the Event
    4) table CRMCONSUM is maintained for IPC
    5) Table CRMRFCPAR is maintained with two entries. Though RFC destination is not maintained.
RFC destinations in AP system are not maintained as we are running SAP E-Commerce 5.0 using ECC 6.0 as backend.
    6) ran the report CFG_AP_INITIALISE_DB -- every thing is green and can see the knowledge bases in the log.
    7) I have maintained the parameter "ipcjcodata" with the JCO component - and maintained the JCO connection user with authorization objects S_MI_ADMCO and S_RFC (with necessary functional groups).
Now If I login to b2b/init.do -- I can see the configuration icon next to the configurable product.
Once I click on the icon -
I can see the reset, accept, cancel options and status and product variant tabs.
But the charecteristics tabs and charecteristics are not being displayed. -- which shows blank.
the jsp's which are showing blank are
    1) /ipc/components/characteristicGroup.jsp
    2)  /ipc/tiles/characteristicGroup.jsp/ipc/tiles/characteristics.jsp
Is there any thing I am missing - Please suggest.
    Thank you

Can anybody help me out to find the issue .
    Thanks and Regards,
    Tony Isaac

    Tony,
It looks more like an issue with the loading of the JCO properties before the logon. Can you go to XCM and try reentering the password and save the config. Once done do a test connection and restart the application.
Then set a breakpoint in the BackendBusinessObjectBaseSAP class in the method getDefaultJCoConnection().
Here when the current connection is invalid it tries to read the config properties from XCM. Just check if it is reading the correct values from the config ISA_COMPLETE which is read on the backend object.
In case of mismatch, you need to fix that or you could try to build a new JCO connection with your own parameters.

  • Automatic triggering of Lead document from another preceeding lead document

    Hi,
In my project we are using two lead documents for qualification of a Prospect one will be done by call centre employees and other by the sales rep.
I want to create a Second lead document automatically from the first lead document Qualification level. Can this be achieved by an action profile or would BAdI implementation be needed? Please provide a solution for this. Thanks in advance.

  • Discuss on Configure Global Shipping Data - "Document Flow Update"

    Dear ALl,
I'm recently looking for the solution on some issue, when i use MIGO to post goods receipt with reference to Inbound delivery, but the inbound delivery status always did not been update by the GR.
I would like to understand more details for the below configuration, can anyone please share and advice the details purpose and pros and cons and if this "Document Flow update" is relevant to my issue where the inbound delivery status not updated by the GR?
SRPO: Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Configure Global Shipping Data --> "Document Flow Update"
    Thank you very much,
    Regards,
    Chee Wee

Unfortunately I am not on ECC 6.0 and I dont see the field that you mention in my system.
There are quite a few links below, which contains some description about this field, of course provided for some issues.

I assume apart from Inbound delivery status updates, other tables like MSEG and document flow tables also gets updated with the inbound delivery number.

  • Configurable Product - is this possible?

I have the following requirement. SAP says that it is possible to do this the standard way...I don't know how.
I have a configurable product with 3 caracteristics. This product is assigned to a bill-of-material that allows me to explode the configurable product with 3 subitems depending on the caracteristics I choose.
    This I can do.
Now here is the catch....I need to assign an item category to each of the caracteristics, so that when each of the characteristic/product is exploded in a sales order the correct item category is assigned (I need this because of cost allocation).
Is this possible (without implementing user-exits)?
PS: I choose the item category to control cost allocation, but any field in the pricing structure (KONP) will do just fine.

    Hi
I have a done a editable pdf in pro.
My client needs to put different percentages into the form (different for everyone)
so 1 pupil might have 25% but next 60% which she wants to change herself and then send to the student.
I have set it up so she can save it but when she sends it to the pupil, she can fill in the form BUT she can also change the percentage which we do not want.
My client is using normal acrobat (free one) 6.5 and pupils will probably have just the free reader.
    Thanks

  • Configure internal number for document in "depreciation run"

    Hi Experts!
When I execute "Depreciation Run", it notice error:
Create document number range 03 using internal number assignment
    Message no. AA776
    Diagnosis
Processing terminated because the document number range 03 for year 2008 was set up with external number assignment.
    System Response
For periodic posting of depreciation, you have to create a document number range with internal number assignment, since the document numbers are assigned from Financial Accounting.
    Procedure
Change the number assignment for the number range 03 from external to internal in Customizing for Asset Accounting. See SAP Note 890976 for more information.
Please tell me the way to configure internal number for document in "depreciation run"
    Thanks & Reguards
    Ngocpt.

    Hi,
    Go to transaction code FBN1
In the change option go to document range 03.  IF its an external number assignment there is a tick in the box " ext".
If you want to change it to internal you just have to remove the tick.
Before doing so please check the document type used fo depreciation  and the corresponding number ranges assigned.
    Hope this helps.

  • Rework operation in configurable products

    Dear Experts ,
I need your expertise knowledge in Re-work scenario for configurable product.
I have a scenario where i have produced one configurable product which is lying in stock against specific customer.
Now at some point of time , i came to know that this product can be sold to some other customer with just change in the few variants like color and
Cylinder capacity. In this kind of scenario , to carry our re-work process my business wants to consume the stock lying against different customer in
stock ( hopefully customer delaying to get it delivered)  Is this the right approach..? Can i consume the configuarablke material stock and make few
changes and deliver to the customer..? Is this the right approah.
Need you expertise knowledge on impact of both Finance. Production.
Note : i have tested the scenario , system is allowing me to consume Stock of configuarable product ( For testing purpose i did transfer posting from customer stock to own stock by 411 E.
    regards,
    Daya

    Hi Daya,
To understand myself the above scenario, I used the
example of Tined drinks/beers. The product beer is going to be the same for the
brands UB and Kingfisher, only the difference is brand sticker pasted over the
    tin.
Now, the retailer of UB had placed some order and the
stock for them is produced as well and available at UB sales order stock. In
business perspective it is required to remove the UB sticker from tin and paste
    the kingfisher stickers over it.
In the above structure, I hope there is no standard SAP transaction available for links in colour red(For dis-mantle and re-assembling). All the links in Green are available in standard SAP. If the scenario is often occuring, then it is good to have a custom program for this in the below mentioned way.
    Step 1
The final product (UB Beer), to dismantled to beer and UB sticker (may be 132 and 262 - Consumption reversal), here it is possible to custom single level or multi level as well - The cost of dismantling also to be capture in a seperate cost center (may be a re-work cost center).
    Step 2
Assemble the Beer and KF sticker (131 and 262) - Assembling cot needs to be captured in seperate cost center if required. Or for ex, if this stickering operation is defined as a seperate level of process, then this can be handled by cretaing a regular production order.
This dis-mantling custom program can be used for scrapping as well, for ex, the final product is rejected and needs to be scrapped for some reason, But some of its components are re-usable.
This dismantling and re-assembling is very often in breweries as there would be lot of promotions and discount sales will be going on and to push the produce stock it is required to go with the brands which is selling high in a particular season.
But it is good to go for custom program only if the dis-mantling and assembling is often in the business process. Other wise it is better to split the configured product into two process like
Process 1 - Until the configuration come into place, produce the product at this level in MTS scenario
Process 2 - Pick the MTS product and go either for ATO or STO scenario.
Let the community know any further inputs are required.
    Regards,
    Chinna.

  • Configurable Products in Service Process (CIC)

    Hello,
If I add a configurable product to a service order in CRMD_ORDER the configuration tab is displayed correctly.
However, if I add a configurable product to a service order in the CIC it is not. I presume this is a feature!
I tried modifying the screen sequence control for screen profile type TSRV to include the configuration tab (TSRV_ID_CONF) but it hasn't worked.
Has anybody had this problem before and can give me a pointer? I've raised an OSS message with SAP but they are very slow in responding at the moment.

    Hi Stuart,
Did you get any response from SAP. Could you please share.
