Configuring A Deployment Scenario Using Service Operations?

We imported a WSDL file from a vendor u2013 it defines a dozen or so messages.  So I created a Service Interface with several operations:
u2022     JobService.CreateJob
u2022     JobService.CancelJob
u2022     JobService.ChangeJob
u2022     Etcu2026
During design time, the operation mappings are easy to use.  The operation mappings use the interface operations u2013 for example one an IDOC to JobService.CreateJob.  However, deploying a scenario to use service operations is apparently a bit more difficult.
My receiver system has several SOAP receiver communication channels u2013 each receiver channel specifies a unique SOAP action & corresponds naturally to a service operation.  Therefore I need I need a receiver agreement that looks at BOTH the service interface AND the service operation so that I can bind it to the correct communication channel.
In the Integration Directory, the Interface Determination step only allows you to select an interface, but doesnu2019t provide the ability to specify a Service Operation.  You have the same situation in the Receiver Agreement u2013 you can name the interface, but not select a specific Service Operation.
So how do you configure a deployment scenario to take advantage of service operations?

alternate way could be as follows.
One Receiver determination
One Interface determination with condition for derive OM and Interface
One Sender agrmnt
Multiple Receiver Agrmnt
Multiple CC

  • Enterprise Services, Service Operations and Functional Business Component

    Hi,
    in the Enterprise Service desing guide (see https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/40c05360-0501-0010-63bd-aedd415b6e05 ) the relations between Enterprise Services and Service Operations are covered.
    I understand that one Enterprise Service consists of one or  more Service Operations. For Example General Ledger Processing ES offers seven Service Operations. (See Solution Composer)
    Functional Business Components offer one or more Enterprise Services and several Service Operations. As mentioned in the Design Guide, an Enterprise Services is dedicated to a certain Functional Business Component. An Enterprise Service could use several Service Operations of  one ore more Functional Business Components.
    When browsing the Solution Composer I couldn't discover any Enterprise Service that uses Service Operations of more than one Functional Component.
    Here's my question: Does anyone know an Enterprise Service  described in the Solution Composer which uses Service Operations of several Functional Business Components? If there aren't any, why?
    Regards,
    Sebastian

    Sebastian,
    I haven't looked through the entire set of preview services, but most of what I have seen is consistent with what you are describing. I think the short answer is the ESA preview system is really a pre-release of the intial ESR which itself is essentially an extension of XI's integration repository. These are basically the finer grained object and interface level services.
    SAP should be releasing some significant content updates to this ESR after NW2004S goes GA later this year. More importantly the next edition of the ESR tied to the BPP release will greatly expand on the scope including containing the more complex service defintions and process models which cut across components that you are looking for.

  • Getting error While testing Web Service deployed Glassfish using Net beans.

    Hi,
    I created a web service in netbeans. I deployed it on glassfish server too.
    My web service contains one method which return type is Document. Here is my web service class code.
    @WebService(serviceName = "DocumentTest")
    @Stateless()
    public class DocumentTest {
         * This is a sample web service operation
        @WebMethod(operationName = "hello")
        public String hello(@WebParam(name = "name") String txt) {
            return "Hello " + txt + " !";
        @WebMethod
        public Document getDocument(){
            Document doc = null;
            return doc;
    }After Deployment when I m testing the web service I am getting follwoing error on Browser

  • Invoking a scenario using web service

    Hi Experts,
    Could anyone pls suggest how to pass variables from SOAP to ODI 11g(11.1.1.6.3)
    Here we are using wsdl utility to invoke a scenario using web service and trying to pass a variable like the below
    The scenario is triggered successfully without passing a parameter.
    But when i try to pass a variable like the below,am getting error
    Variables name='PROJECT_CODE'
    Variables value='JI-2015'
    In ODI 11g, i have generated a scenario with a variable PROJECT_CODE as a declare variable and tried triggering from both the environments
    From ODI 11g:
    When I try to trigger the scenario from wsdl, in that variable step(in operator), I got error as ODI-17546: Specified variable not found in the Repository
    But in the work repository SNP_VAR table I could still see the variable name under VAR_NAME column.
    From ODI 10g:
    When i try to do the same from odi 10g, the scenario execution is success.
    But the variable had taken only NULL value instead of taking the value which i passed from wsdl.
    Could you pls advise where am going wrong

    variable should be passed in the soap message by adding variables elements. Refer to Note ID [1499852.1]
    <Variables>
    <Name>Project.Variable1</Name>
    <Value>Variable1Value</Value>
    </Variables>
    <Variables>
    <Name>Project.Variable2</Name>
    <Value>Variable2Value</Value>
    </Variables>
    <Variables>
    <Name>Project.Variable3</Name>
    <Value>Variable3Value</Value>
    </Variables>

  • Configuration guide on Solution Manager Service Desk Scenario

    Hi all,
    I have just setup a Solution Manager 3.2 system and have followed the configuration guide, SP9.pdf which directs me to use SPRO to configure it. However, after going thru the SPRO, it doesn't gives me specific steps to setup the Service Desk scenarios. I could not find any specifc steps on creating a service Desk, business partners or configuration on the satelite system. Please kindly provide me with the relevant guide. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Guan,
    I don't know if my message is being sent too late for you, but only now I read your question..
    You have to go through Customer Relationship Management configuration in order to customize Service Desk and Change Request Management the way you need. Before, I believe you must have in your hands the specification of your Organizational Structure, who will be each business partner in your organization, with the correct responsibilities, then you draw the workflow you want to implement, which is the complete landscape, have your RFC connection to SAP working in order to send support messages to them (this should be ok if you already have SolMan working, it needs the RFC connection in order to update the services..). Once you define your processes, based on the ITIL, then you can start configuring your Service Desk. Inside the IMG of the SolMan->Service Desk you have the CRM steps you need (if you have SP09 or up), and the documentation inside the IMG are really useful. If you are not used to CRM, I suggest you take a look at the CRM Documentation, because most of the things are better explained there. Actions, Conditions for Actions, Business partners, Installed Base with default business partners, Solution Database..
    You may be a little bit confused reading the lots of docs that SAP delivers about SolMan Service Desk regarding using SLF1 or SLFN transaction Type. SLF1 was the old one, used by SolMan 3.1, and it has some differences from SLFN. In fact, SLF1 is more complex. It has items, SLFN does not. It uses a Service Confirmation, SLFN does not.. and so on..
    If you need more information, please let me know. I have been working with Service Desk and Change Request Management for one year, in Scandinavia, maybe we can exchange tips.

  • Problem using deployed Axis web services

    Dear all,
    I am currently trying to get my first web services up and running on Tomcat 5. I create a simple Java class to return a String:
    public class SayHello2
        public String hello(String in)
            return ("Hello, " + in);
    }From this class I created the WSDL with Java2Wsdl. I created the deployment descriptor using Wsdl2Java and deployed the whole thing using the Axis AdminClient. Finally, I compiled the resulting classes from step 2 and copied them to the directory that corresponds to the package name.
    The web service is listed together with the method in the list provided by Axis. However, I can not access the method, neither entering the direct URL (http://localhost/WSTest/services/SayHello2?in=bla), nor using the stub classes generated by Axis, nor using a org.apache.axis.client.Call. I am quite lost. Does anyone have any ideas what I could check? I've pasted the WSDL below, just in case there's any hint in there. (I can access this wsdl alright with http://localhost/WSTest/services/SayHello2?wsdl).

    The odd thing is that no exception is thrown at all. All that happens is that I get a null value back when I call the method sayHello (indepent from the way in which I call it, whether using URL access or the client stub). When I deploy the same class as a .jws, called with http://localhost/WSTest/SayHello.jws?method=sayHello&in0=bla, everything works fine. Response:
    <soapenv:Envelope>
      <soapenv:Body>
       <sayHelloResponse    soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
    <sayHelloReturn xsi:type="xsd:string">Hello, bla</sayHelloReturn>

    <sayHelloReturn xsi:type="soapenc:string" xsi:nil="true"/>
    </sayHelloResponse>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>I don't have the slightest clue what the problem could and really need to get this web service thingy going. I have already spent an entire week on this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    Unfortunately I already tried all kinds of re-installs (the full list is in my original message). The only one remaining is the reinstall of Windows 8 itself, which I would really like to avoid.
    What I find really strange is the time it takes for the above error message to appear. It's like one hour or even more (never measured exactly, I left the computer running).
    What kind of a timeout is that? I would expect that, if ports are really used by some other application, I get the message in less than a minute (seconds, actually). To me this looks like the emulator itself for some reason believes there's a problem with
    some port while in reality there isn't.
    I'll eventually contact Microsoft Support, thanks for the suggestion.

  • Settings for Purchase Order output using services for MM-SUS scenario?

    Dear Gurus,
    I am configuring the service procurement classic and plan driven procurement for MM-SUS
    environment. We are on SAP SRM 7.01/ECC 6 EHP5.
    I need to maintain the below settings for PO output:
    1. RUN transaction SWETYPV
    2. IN the object types field, enter CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT.
    3. In the event field, enter CREATED.
    4. In the receiver type field, enter WS53800008.
    5. In the receiver function module field, enter SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF.
    6. Select the 'Linkage Activated' checkbox.
    7. Save your entries.
    Similarly, one more entry for the event CHANGED.
    However, the system is not allowing me to save the settings.
    If I choose BOR Object Type 'CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT', it gives an error message 'Object type CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT is not defined'.
    If I choose object category 'Business class for object type CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT, it gives an error message 'Class CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT is not a business class.'
    There are similar entries in the table SWETYPV for object type CL_SE_PUR_PO_WF_OUT' with object category CL.If we copy the entries and tries to replace the
    object type 'CL_SE_PUR_PO_WF_OUT' with CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT and save it, it gives an error message 'CL is not used for workflow event'.
    Could you please help me on how to configure the settings for PO output from ECC system using services?
    Any input is highly appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi Ranjan,
    Please add the value 'CL' in the table SWF_CATIDS
    Then it will work.

  • "dtutil", how to tell which configuration file for packages using after deployment?

    Hello All,
    Trying to achieve this feature,
    Using DOS command to automatic my deployment process--glad I found dtutil. However, it doesnt give you any chance to identify which configuration file to be used by SSIS packages after deployment.
    Deployment Method: file deployment
    Configuration sued: XML file and SQL Table. IN XML file, it tells which DB connection for packages to look up the configuration table.
    Who can share some thoughts on this?
    Derek

    It is NOT about sequence.
    It is about how to point which configuration file to be used by deployed packages as during the "dtutil.exe"
    deployment, you dont have chance to identify which physical location confg files to be used.
    Derek
    That you do only at the time of execution of packages. By default it uses configuration settings created at design time within the package. If you want to override it, you can use \Configfile switch of dtexec for that. You can also set explicit values for
    properties using /SET switch

  • How to configure and deploy OAM 11g with DB setup using silent mode

    Hello all,
    I am trying to create automation process to install and configure OAM 11g on WLS. This task involves three stages
    1. Install WLS
    2. Install OAM 11g
    3. Create DB schema using RCU
    4. Configure and deploy OAM 11g
    I have done first 3 stages in silent mode using scripts and response files. I am stuck at 4th stage. I know how to configure and deploy OAM 11g using config.sh via GUI installer as well as console mode. But I would like to run config.sh in silent mode something like
    ./config.sh -mode=silent -silent_script=<script_location>
    I have searched a lot, but could not find any resource on how to do it? I tried passing the parameters via a text file. But that has not worked. I have also explored WLST, but it also does not work. Given that first 3 things are relatively very simple, the 4th step is becoming complex. I would be very thankful if someone can please point me in the right direction.
    Thanks!

    Have a look at your software directory : <sofware directory>/Disk1/stage/Response
    Here you will find 2 rsp files which you can use to install and then configure it all.
    Good luck.

  • WLAN controller 4400 series, use service-port for initial configuration, IP address?

    Hi, Everyone,
    I just got a new Cisco  Wlan controller 4402 from somebody else but I can't find a suitable console cable( DB-9 console on the controller) , I googled everywhere and I read I could use service port to do the initial configuration, the CISCO FAQ says initial IP for service port is 192.168.1.1, I tried use Cross-over   cable to connect a PC to the service port directly and use a normal cable with a switch to connect the service port and  a PC, both of the connections do not work out:  from the PC, I can't ping 192.168.1.1 ( PC IP changed to 192.168.1.20) , nor can I go http://192.168.1.1 .  The service port Link is solid GREEN and ACT is solid GREEN, the PC NIC says Connected with 100 Mbps , so I'm wondering the IP address of service port is not 192.168.1.1?  Please help.
    Any sussgestions and advices are  greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    plz connect service port to the switch port that should be configured as access.
    connect a pc (ip address - as u mentioned) to the other port of the switch. both wlc and pc should be in same vlan (create a temperary vlan).
    try https to access the wlc.
    Thanks

  • How to use custom pipeline dlls in Biztalk Projects so that they appear in the send/receive pipeline configuration after deployment?

    I have a existing Biztalk application that uses custom pipelines for receiving excel files. I have the dll of that custom pipeline. Now i created another BT application that needs to use that same custom pipeline. But after i deploy the application in
    Biztalk, i can't see the  pipeline available in Receive pipeline configuration combo box during configuration. I have referenced the custom pipeline dll in my project before deploying, but that doesn't help. I also copied the dll in the C:\Program Files
    (x86)\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010\Pipeline Components folder and C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010 folder, but that doesn't make the pipelines appear during configuration too.
    Can anyone give any idea on how can i use these custom pipeline dlls in project so that they appear in configuration after deployment?

    If you plan on using the deployed pipeline across multiple applications in BizTalk, the BizTalk Application (using the BizTalk Server Administration Console) should have the other application [where the pipeline is deployed] as reference.
    For e.g.: Custom Pipeline (myCustomPipeline) part of a BizTalk Project (dll - myCustomProject.dll) deployed under Application [Some Application] also to be used in another BizTalk Application [Some Other Applicaiton] then using BizTalk Server Administartor
    right click the "Some Other Application" and select "Properties"
    on the "Properties" page, left hand side, select "References"
    on the right-hand side, use "Add" to add the "Some Project" as a reference.
    Doing so will ensure that ALL resources (maps, schemas, orchestrations, send ports, receive locations, rules, etc.) deployed for "Some Application" are available/referensible in "Some Other Application".

  • How to Configure Multiple Purchase Requisitions per Service Order

    Hi experts!
    Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I was wondering how I can configure multiple Purchase Requisitions to be created from a service or maintenance order (IW31) based on the control key (or if it's even possible).
    What would be the pros and cons of doing this?  We currently only have one PR being created for one order (a 1-to-1 relationship), however now with implementing external services, we want 2 or more PRs created based on the control key.  Is the control key the best way to go, or should I be looking at a different deciding field?
    Thanks in advance!
    Stephanie

    Raj,
    Thank you so much for the information.  That does help!  However business requirements are now changing to have different Purchase Requisitions created for a single order in the following scenarios:
                 - New Purchase Req created for different operations (you explained how above, perfect!)
                 - Seperate Purchase Req created for non-stock items (your answer above seems to group service operations and non-stock into the same Purchase Req).
                 - New Purchase Req created if the order has already been released.  (If the order's status is still at "Create", then the additional component can be appended to the existing Purchase Req.  If the order's status is "Released", and a new component is added, a new Purchase Req is created).
    As mentioned, you explained how to do the first requirement.  Is there anyway SAP can handle the next two requirements using standard config and not customizing anything?
    Thanks in advance!
