Configuring profiles in CAPACITY PLANNING (CM07)

We need to configure a profile in CM07 which should be similar to CM01 but only should pick up released orders (PM orders) and instead of 9 weeks we need data for 11 weeks. These are the major two differences that we need. Can you please let me know the steps to do it.
Your help would be really helpful and appreciated.

Hi,
Regarding selection of data of 11 Weeks than 9 Weeks you can do the same using Option Profile using T.Code: OPA3 in customisation where in you can mention Start and End Date.
Path SPRO - Production - Capacity Requirements Planning - Evaluvation - Profiles - Define options profile.
You need to assign the new Option Profile in Overall Profile (OPA6).
Regarding selection of only released orders I will check and confirm.
With best regards
Shankar.

  • Capacity Planning - CM07

    Dear PP Gurus,
I am using CM07 to view the work center for the capacity planning. My requirements load for  12 months.
How come the planned order on July onwards is schedule all to June?
It is supposed to load according to the month for the orders, but is not and the earlier months capacity is not fully utilised?
    Need you expertise on this.
    Appreciate the assistance
    Thanks & Regards
    Pooja

    Hi Abhijeet,
You can use profile SAPPISAFRU - IS Confirmation and then after double clicking the particluar line item you can chose confirmed quantity in the field display.
Otherwise you can use the transaction CN41 for actual work done or CN48n for confirmation line item display.

  • Maintenance Work Center : Capacity Planning CM01

    Hello Gurus,
We are using T-code CM01 to determine the Requirements / RemAvailCap of the Maintenance Work Orders in a given Maintenance Work Center.
After executing CM01, the detail capacity list contains Not Scheduled orders( CRTD )and  capacity of these not Released orders also taking into consider.
How to restrict CM01 Order selection based on the work order System status or User status ?
I found below discussions on SCN but couldn't get precise answere.

Configuring profiles in CAPACITY PLANNING (CM07)
    Please help.
    Thanks in Advance
    Ashok M

    There are a few ways:
Create a new status profile via BS42 and assign the REL status only (see image 1). Then in the CM01 display screen, use menu path: Planning->Selection->Order and enter the status profile created above (see image 2)
Create a new selection combination via OAP0. In the CM01 display screen, use menu path: Planning->Selection->Combination and enter the selection combination created above (see image 3)
The above settings can then be defaulted via the various capacity planning profiles.

  • Machine capacity planning and efficency

    Dear Guru,
I have number of machines and i want there individual capacity and efficency can we see that by any report or any tcode to see all capacity of machine. What is capacity leveling.
Is thee any configuration for capacity planning.
    Thanks in advance

Hi, the following configuration steps involved in the capacity planning: SPRO --> IMG --> PRODUCTION --> CAPACITY REQUIREMENT PLANNING Capacity Requirements Planning: 1) Define time units 2) Define Capacity Category 3) Set up Capacity Planner. 4) Define parameters 5) Define Standard value key. 6) Define Move time matrix. 7) Define Setup matrix. 8) Define Control Key. 9) Define Shift Sequence. 10) Define Key for performance efficiency rate. 11) Define Formula parameters. 12) Specify Scheduling type. 13) Set up Production scheduler group 14) Select Automatically. 15) Define Scheduling parameters for Production orders 16) Define Scheduling parameters for networks. 17) Define Reduction Strategies planned/ production orders. 18) Define Reduction Strategies for network/process orders. 19) Define Control Profile. 20) Define Selection profile. 21) Define time profile. 22) Define Evaluation profile. 23) Define Strategy Profile. You can follow these above configuration steps in capacity planning Yes you need to active your all work center for the finite scheduling at the bottom of capacity view. Use all standard SAP configurations, Capacity Leveling Profile. Define time profile in OPD2. Define the strategy profile in OPDB Define the Overall profiles in OPD0. Then only you need to to active your all work center for the finite scheduling at the bottom of capacity view in work center.(CR02) Then run MRP with scheduling- 2 Lead time scheduling and capacity planning.(MD02) You will get your capacity requirement in CM01, or CM25/CM21. In rem you can use MF50. -

  • Rough Cut Capacity Planning

    Hey all,
i wanted to configure Rough Cut Capacity Planning in such a way that
    1. i could view capacities of workcenters given that the demand (load) of planned orders could be executed in a particular period.
I accomplished this partially, meaning i could find out the bottlenecks on the workcenters but this was only on single material level, if i wanted to run this check on multiple the system, supposedly, offers me the option of using the product group, my question is, where do i view these bottlenecks on capacity IF i want to run RCCP on Multiple products.
    2. i wanted to find out exactly how much i can produce in a period, given that the external and internal procurement lead times are incorporated this is usually reffered to as Master Production Scheduling, as far as i know atleast.
kindly shed some light on these matters.
    Regards,
    Danish
PS. i've seen similar posts to this but none directly addressing these issues hence i felt the need to ask these questions seprately.

to further clarify my question i would like to see, as a result of stimulative planning (RCCP):
    1. Impact of Planning (planned order quantities) from ALL materials that were being planned on work centers used in recipes.
    2. Identification of bottlenecks, which is of course the subsequent function from point 1.
    3. Capability to produce with reference to Materials availability (lead-times being incorporated of components).

  • POINTS TO CONSIDERED IN CAPACITY PLANNING

    Dear PP GURUS,
can any one pl. help me by explaning what r the imp. points to b considered during implementing capacity planning
    thanks and regards
    Raj

    1) You need to maintain work scheduling view for all E parts.
    2) In customizing mainatin the overall profile for capacity planning and assign this to materoal master in work scheduling view.
    3) In production orders and planne dorder scheduling paarmeeter (in customizing) enable the indictore "generate capacity reqs".
    4) Control key in rotuings must have the same indicator checked "gen cap reqs".
    5) MRP must be run to create cacapcity reqs if you are using MRP.
    6) You must be aware about the resources lke work centers and labours. in the capacity you must checked the capacities are relevent to "finite scheudling".
    7) Work center must hace formulas...all sormuals must be relevent for scehduling and capacity requirements.
for more details go for the SAP help.

  • Plant Maintenance: Capacity planning CM01/ CM07

    Hi
In capacity planning CM01, the standard sap shows all the maintenance orders which have system status created. But we would like to look at onlly the released pm order in the standard overview list and detailed capacity list. Please let me know if there is way we can configure it.
    Thanks

    Hi Nayan202,
You could configure desired "selection set" T.code "CSM1" and then assign this to appropriate "Selection Profile" under initial set.
    Hope this helps.

  • Rough Cut Planning Profile-by Capacity category

    Hai,
I am creating Rough Cut Planning Profiles in ECC6.0 for use in Standad SOP (S076). In MC35, I don't see a place where I can enter by Work center category- like I want both Machine and Labour categories as I have different times for each category.
    { when I view the rough-cut capacity situation in MC82, system displays both categroies, but it is based on only the hours I maintained for one of the categories- how do I maintain for both categories?}
    Thank you in advance:)

    Hello Sonali,
Rough cut capacity planning is used only  for bottle neck resources.Analyze your process and you will come to know for the product group or material which category or machine is bottleneck.
Create a rought cut planning profile for a production line or Workcenter or PRT or Cost(Relative cost not product cost).
PS:Roughtcut capcity planning should not be used for all the workcenters.
    Thanks,

  • Setting needed for Capacity Planning.

    Hi PP Gurus,
I want to know what setting we have to do for capacity planning.
    what I know is:
    1. W/C should be set for finite scheduling.
    2. In scheduling parameters for process order tick "Generate capacity Requirement".
This both setting are made in my scenario, but it is'nt loading the work center fot that week.
    Any other setting nedded?
    Thanks, in advance.

    Dear ,
You need to have following set up at basic level frist before you perfomr the capacity requirement planning  :
1.In OPKP-Define Production Scheduling parameter -Availability check -Confirm Capacity and also Finite Scheduling chekc box ticked .
2.In OPU3/OPU5-Define Scheduling Parametesr -you should mark the following
1.Automatic Scheduling check box should be marked
2.Scheduling Log check box should be marked -generate in case there is a scheduling error due to capacity over load .
3.Scedulinga and Generate Capcity should be ticked .
3.In OPJK Imaintain check capacity with SAPSFCG013 overall profile and set indicator -1 -Release Order -by user decision if capacity is insufficient
4.Work Center - Define the capcity planner group, activate checkbox Relevant for Finite sceduling,on the capacity header define the shift timings, break timings and unit of measure,no of individual capaity, enter formula for scheduling in capacity view.
5.Routing - enter the values for the standard values. Use control key with scheduling and CRP activated .
    6. OPD0 and have the following set up  : Overall profile : SFAPSFC015 --Inside the over all profile I have the following set up
1.Selection Profile -SAPSFCS013 SFC: Order view, standard overview
    2.Control Profile : SAP___C004 : Gen Capacity Availability Check for 1.5 months
    3.Time Profile : SAP___Z006 : Gen Capacity Availability Check for 1.5 months
    4.Evalution Profile : SAPSFCA013 : Gen Capacity Availability Chek =3.0D
    5.Strategy Profile : SAPSFCVER1-Gen Capacity availability Check
    6.Period Profile : SAP___P001 -Weekly period
    7.List Profile : SAPSFCI001-Production Planing
Check all of them in place .Then you can go ahead with Capacity Req.Planning -Evalution and Leveling -CM21/CM22/CM05/CM07  etc.

  • Capacity planning issue

    Dear all
My customer has two actor types: project managers PM and 7 work center managers WCM, with strong antithesis: PM looks at project quality and productivity; WCM looks at his resources capacity planning.
Every PM defines wbs basic start / finish dates with appropriate, large and comfortable time lag. Into this time lag, during the capacity planning, the WCMs can set definitive activity start / finish dates, by their needs (and with user status communicates to PM the happened choice) .
The generic project is composed of more wbs elements and 7 networks: all activities of a generic network are assigned to only one work center. Every lowest wbs element has only one activity.
Every PM plans dates (large and comfortable) and efforts on network activities; schedules via bottom up and copies wbs scheduled dates on basic dates. After, CP sets the top down scenario and save the project. In IMG, network profile, the type of checking during top-down time scheduling is u201CEu201D:  exit with error (transaction code OPUU).
Every WCM using transaction code CM01 doesnu2019t see the WBS constrains. So doesnu2019t know the wbs dates range. Moreover the WCMs donu2019t like a dashboard like CM01 because it is not user friendly. They prefer a graphical dashboard.
My personal idea to resolve this issue is use transaction code CM21 or similar with the display of wbs time lag. Is it possible?
Is there anyone who could help me, please? I am also interested in other technical solution.
    Thanks in advance.

    Venky,
    1) Sales order when enter in the system can perform the capacity availability check ?
Not in ECC/R/3.  However, in APO this is possible.
    2) The delivery dates & confirmation in the sales order is on what basis?
Depends on how you have configured your availability check.  There are a number of possibilities.  Many companies confirm MTS orders to Total Replenishment Lead time in the Material master.  Other companies leave the orders unconfirmed until Planning has created supply elements (production orders).
As far as the delivery date is concerned, it can also start with the confirmed material availability date as calculated by ATP, and then additionally schedule in the warehouse pick-pack-load times, and route transit time (the time it takes to move the shipment from your loading dock to the customer's location.
In 'Assemble to order' (a special version of Make To Order) it is possible to confirm to the scheduling time of the supporting Finished goods production orders combined with the availability of the components of the FG production order.
In R/3, some companies will confirm the MTS sales order to a date that is farther into the future than the actual estimated process time including capacity backlog.  Then, they run MRP to create planned orders.  Then, they run Capacity leveling.  Then, they run BackOrderProcessing (rescheduling) of the sales orders to re-confirm to the planned or production orders that have been capacity leveled.  In this way, Sales orders are indirectly confirmed to capacity.
Consult with your local SD and PP ATP experts to discover the options available.

  • Capacity planning Long-term planning CM38

    Hi,
I am using Long-term planning scenario. I have created 12 PIRs for 12 months from January 2010 to December 2010. I executed MRP in MS01 in Lead scheduling Mode.
There are 12 planned orders created for the 12 PIRs for the months Jan to Dec-2010. When I see the planned orders in MS04 the satrt and finish date for the planned orders are showing in respective months beginning.
But when I check capacity in transaction CM38, all the 12 planned order for Jan to December months are displayed in the month of  January itself instead of the respective months from Jan to December and the work center is overloaded 199%.
Please suggest to solve this issue.
    thanks and regards
    Murugesan

    Hi,
In customization for Capacity Planning you can define you own selection profiles to work with. You may specify further selection criteria in selection profile and enhance query speed from database. Slection profiles are assigned to overall profiles and overall profiles can be called by CM07 transaction. CM38 is also working over an overall profile which you may learn from SAP help. This can also be changed.
Also check OPC5 to limit max data for selection which might be useful.
    Regards.

  • Operations are not getting despatched in capacity planning table

    Hi Experts,
I am using capacity planning table (Graphical) to level the capacities and sequence the process orders. The start date of my orders are very well in future and sufficient capacities also is available in resources. But when I go to CM25 and select one order and click on despatch, system is not despatching it. This is the case for almost all the overall profiles.
The surprising factor is, this function was working fine earlier without any issues. I havent done any changes in configs which will affect capacity planning.
What can be the reason for this? Any thoughts please?.
One more thing. Is there any option to avoid the capacity planning step if Iam using R/3 and manage it by some other way?
    Appreciate your earlier reply
    Thanks & Regards
    Prathib

Most likely you didnt define the rowsource key properly. Please look under <install>/errors folder for any file there.
Also, please read the documentation. There is information there about how to troubleshoot a loading problem. Please always read the documentation and we would appreciate feedback on the documentation.

  • How to go about capacity planning for storage ?

    Hi Experts,
How to go about Capacity Planning? For  instance if clients wants to upgrade to new server and new storage and asks us how much additional storage do you need for next 5 years, how can calculate the amount of storage.
I don't have any baseline info about the server of past years. Where can I start and any scripts you guys use for doing capacity planning?
    Appreciate your help.
    Thank you.

  • Collections Management (Capacity Planning): FICA Event/s?

    Hello colleagues,
I have a requirement to apply additional criteria for Capacity Planning during dunning.
I need to restrict the volume of Dunning Activities by Regional Structure Group (after retrieving it from the Connection Object).
If anyone has any suggestions as to what FICA event to use, or where to find the count of proposed dunning activities after the proposal step is complete, that would really help.
In Event 300, I do not see any structure that gives me a count of proposed Dunning Activities. However, Capacity Balancing functionality is obviously retrieving the count and applying the limits based on configuration. I hope I do not have to loop through structure FKKMAGRP for the (in progress) Dunning Run ID to get the counts?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ivor Martin

    Ivor:
Using Dunning by Collection Strategy method, this is delivered as standard.  To do so on your own, use event 1799.  In the standard event you could see where this is being executed for the collection steps.
