Confused - Billing!

I'm not sure I understand what's going on with our billing, we have the phone account and the BB account that I understand are merging. However the most recent BB bill we have is for 3 months, 9th June to 8th September. Which is odd for a start as we pay monthly, and always have! Now this amount has been taken from our account by direct debit and we have a further bill that includes phone and the BB for 9th July until 8th August.
Now to me it looks like we're paying twice for our BB now, but this merging of accounts matched with the difficulties using the my account section of the BT site to get past bills etc has made this very difficult to work out. Not helped that we had problems with our line rental not being billed for about 9 months which was only resolved recently.
Any advice?

  • Most Confusing Billing Tactics/Scheme

    Dear Skype,
    How I'm so disappointed with your billing department.  First, I just joined in June to your monthly fee of CAD1.29, then you charged me additionally CAD$14 without my consent which I just found out.  When today, July 2nd, I was told that my account does not have any credit, I need to buy CAD14 credit additonally, I did it without knowing you've charged me $14 earlier last month.  Believe me, I did not all more than the minutes you've granted me.  Please reverse $14 back to my credit card as you've charged me twice now and I need to know how the $14 being used up so quickly as the transaction history did not tell me all the details.  This is the worst experience I've ever have with a company.  If this does not resolve, I'll report this to Business Bureau here and close my account for sure.  I don't like dishonest and sneaky business company and people.

    This is the second time I will submit this request. I was told that my billing concern was escalated. However, I've had no resolution. I've tried signing with the username and password I registered (daniellebrooks)  with but am taken to the User Profile information page where I am asked to register again!So, I've created another profile (Dbrooks) - Here is my concern: To Whom It May Concern: I am contacting you regarding a billing dispute, but now also, about the customer service I received on June 21st, 2015. I have been a Verizon internet customer since 2012 at the residence of: {edited for privacy}. At the time I initiated service, my monthly fee was $29.99. I paid $30.00 at the end of every month to Verizon through my Bank of America online bill pay. On May 1st, 2015 I moved residences to: {edited for privacy}. I called to transfer service. At that time, I was notified that my monthly fee would go up and that I needed to pay a fee, brining my total balance to $53.88 – I paid this on May 28th. Unfortunately, I was not notified that I would have a new account #, and paid this to my old account using my online banking service. Last week I received an automated message on my voicemail that my service would be shut off due to a balance owed. When I called back, a man informed me that this message was in error, and that my May payment had not yet transferred to my new account and that there was no further balance due at that time.Since then, I have received two very confusing bills – One for my old account {edited for privacy} with a balance of $13.50 and one to my new account {edited for privacy} with a balance of $89.98. I called your customer service yesterday at approximately 4 pm. I was transferred to a young man who stated that my outstanding balance(s) were due to fee increases over the years. I told him that I had never been notified of such increases, thus I continued making consistent payment of $30.00 monthly. I never received notification in writing or per my email. He stated it may be because there was no email on file for me. He suggested this was my fault, was curt, rude and unwilling to explore the root of the balance(s) further. His explanation for the lack of communication is incongruous, as Verizon easily contacted me by phone for a disruption of service noticed and also sent correspondence via 2 recent bills for balance(s) owed. I asked to speak to a Supervisor. I was then placed on hold for a total of 50 minutes until a “supervisor” by the name of Jose came on the line. I put the word supervisor in quotes, as I have a hard time believing this individual should be given such a title. He quipped at me with the same indecorous tone and language – he stated he could not be of help and that he had no way to look up my previous statements. I responded that that the previous agent had been able to – at that point he receded and asked for my previous account number. After many minutes of silence, I asked him if he was still there. He remarked, “You need to be patient”, for which I replied, “I have been, I was on hold for almost 50 minutes to talk to you and have now been on the phone going on an hour and 5 minutes, with no resolution”. He responded “If you’re busy, call back”. I stated that I wasn’t busy the hour prior, when I made the initial phone call, but that I had to pick up my son from daycare in the coming ½ hour. At that point, I asked to speak to his Supervisor, to which he jibed, “Alright, you have a good day!” and then hung up! I am appalled and disgusted to say the least. At what point did I lose esteem as your customer? Verizon is one of many carriers in my area. How is this treatment justified? At this point, I am asking for a personal response from someone with at least one shred of professionalism – I would like to know that Jose and his counterpart have been talked to directly regarding this matter, and I would like a detailed explanation of how both balances came to be. Once my bill is reconciled and adjusted, I would like personal contact as to the accurate amount owed. At that time, I shall pay in full and will consider whether or not to continue my service. I will also share this encounter with my neighbors and colleagues as I’d hate for any of them to have the same experience. UPDATE: I was just called yesterday and told that my service would be shut off if I didn't pay the $53.99 that I already paid to my old accound on May 28th! How can you help me if you've edited my account information in this post? Can someone please respond purposefully?! I need a phone call from a live person or an email - not this mess on a forum! I'm about to cancel my service and tell my neighbors to do the same! Ridiculous!!!!!!

    that was nonsense: I confused billing plan with installment plan: In telecom, media, utilities and other businesses with many (small) customers, you can use module contract accounting (in connection with SAP business partner). If people can't pay their bill, the company can agree on paying by installments. For this, contract accounting module uses the installment plan. This will split up the debt into slices due i.e. every month. Table fkk_instpln_head is used for this.

  • ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! BT COMPLAINT...BT MISOLD ME A PA...

    People if you are considering movign to BT. Ensure you get everything in writing before proceeding. The catagorical erros they have made on my account has cost me time and money. phone calls, emails, going round in circles on phone loops, being cutt off after long calls. Useless customer care managment that did not ofer a solution at all. I have tried to get this resolved for over 4 months. Now I have taken this further. No more and I wasting my time on it. 
    I caleld bt to start their bt all inclusive tv, broadband and calls package. (I paid upfront for 1 years line rental to save alittl e bit more money) I then found out I coudl get £176 cash back if I went via topcashback .co.uk so I called Bt to cancel. The offered me a deal to stay. That was going to save me £180 over the year. So I felt much beter and agreed to stay. I asked the guy to email me the new deal and he said I am afraid we dont do that. It will be in your next bill. My online billing log in was not working as they and messed up our account move to the new house so it wasnt for a few months when this go rectified (as if by magic one day) when I noticed we were not being charged correctly (£20 for the first the months and £25 therafter). I have been told they have no record of this offer and can only offer the deals they have which is £40 ish a monent which was the cost of the initial deal I took up.  OMG......They have told me they don't offer discounts to keep people. pleas if anyone reading this has had the same happen please broadcast it. They shoud not be allowed to do this as they feel they hold a monopoly. I am not having it....I have not paid my bills until they resolve the issue. I have tried caling, emailing, live chat and perisitent phone calls for the last 2 evenings. Enough is enough.... I have now gone to the Obundsmun. It is now out of my hands.  They have told me they could not find a recording of my original cancellation. I asked the lady this evening to ensure my call was recorded as I wanted it on record that I am trying to resolve this yet again after the complaint supposedly being excalated and still no contact from BT. I dont know if the cal is recorded. BT record most cals. Then the next guy I speak to a customer service Manager said we record all calls. So They are lying as they obvoiusly don't. I am only going to make sure this gives as much bad word of mouth as possible as it is not fair to treat people like this. It is serious and I know I am telling the truth. One frustrated lady BT customer that will not be defeated.... UESLESS BT.... I advise anyone lookign to cancel with BT - record your cal. I am sure they will still be using this tactic and hoping you will not notice or understand their everso long and confusing bills....

  • Embedding youtube videos on my DM created site

    I am having problems embedding Youtube videos in my
    website create with DM.
    I successfully embedded one video clip at
    photoresources-sf.com/equipment/html (I shot the clip)
    When I attempted to add more youtube videos, I could not make
    it happen. I followed the instructions. and when I placed the embed
    code in the code area of my site the embed code text color was all
    black and the code showed up in the table on my page.
    When I started up DW today I received a dialog box that
    states
    "this page contains <object> tags that may not work
    properly in the most recent versions of IE. DM cannot convert the
    <object> tags!"
    Does this mean I can not embed my videos or other videos from
    youtube on my site?
    How can I get around this problem?

  • Prorated for an entire month?

    I wasn't going to go over my allotted amount.  We were upgrading our service to smart phones, with data, etc.  I don't think that makes sense to charge me an entire month for 4 days.  They should have prorated the new service with the old.  And really, would it kill Verizon to allow a few days on either side of a billing cycle to avoid all the confusing bills.  I ended up paying about $75 dollars more than I should have.  That was more than my monthly bill used to be.

    Thanks for posting the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements. Unfortunately, they don't work. Always test your code before you post it, and correct it if necessary. You're missing the keyword VALUES in all the INSERT statements. Another error is that dday is declared as a DATE in the CREATE TABLE statement, but you're trying to insert a VARCHAR2.
    Here's one way to do what you asked:

    ;This will give you a separate row of output for each month. In your example, the WHERE clause was restricting output to a single month, but it doesn't have to be that way.
    This does not assume that begin_volume and end_volume keep getting larger as the month goes on, as in your sample data. If they did, then you wouldn't need the FIRST and LAST functions, and it would be more efficient.

  • "My Bill" page is confusing

    Recently, I missed a payment. One of your representatives contacted me, with this info.
    I paid $249.23 on April 10 and $246.54 on April 14.
    Today is the day I usually pay end of month bills. I logged onto your site, in order to check my balance.
    The "My Bill Summary" page shows conflicting info.
    The obvious balance total shows a total due, by April 29, of $495.77, which is the total of the two payments previously made, listed above.
    I called your customer to service to inquire about my current balance. I was told that my balance was zero. I informed your rep that the web site showed a balance due of $495.77. The rep could not explain the difference in web site display.
    After completing the call, I looked very hard at the "My Bill Summary" page and finally found a small text line, above the bill summary block, which states that the current balance of $0.00 is due by April 29. I don't understand the placement of this very important line of data. Yes, it is at the top of the page, but is very small and the same color as much less important info, getting lost easily.
    I have attached a screen shot of the web page described, with these two areas circled in red.

    While the accounting at the bottom of the page IS, admittedly confusing, The top line about no balance due sounds like it is accurate, if you made the two payments on April 10 and April 14.
    The bill statement below is for activity March 5 to April 4 - and you didn't make the first payment till April 10.  So neither of those is showing on the generated bill for that time frame.  The total due would be $244.23 + $246.54 and one late fee of $5.
    On April 10, you paid the $244.23 and a $5 late fee for the missed payment; then you paid the $246.54 due for the current cycle (bill shows the late fee added to this payment making it $251.54, but you 'd already paid the $5).  So the numbers work out, there is no payment due on April 29, since you paid it on April 14.  Your next bill will show the payments made 4/10 and 4/14, and have a payment due on May 29.
    It IS confusing, but it does work out.  The generated bill was accurate at the time of printing.  The top of the page is accurate as of the day you visit the page.  In between, you made the payments; the total amount due by 4/29 was paid so you will not owe a payment until 5/29.

  • Why is my bill so confusing!? Can't it be simpler?

    On October 23rd I purchased an iPhone 5S from Verizon Wireless, and started a Unlimited Talk & Text (2GB) plan with Wireless Phone Protection from Asurion. The monthly charges are $88.73. The total amount paid to activated the account, pay the first monthly charge, and purchase the iPhone 5S was $136.55 which was paid in full. After my phone arrived I changed my phone number from a temporary number that a Verizon customer service agent had set me up with, and then ported in my regular number - closing the other line. At this point the Oct-Nov bill was paid in full at $136.55.
    After a week or two of enjoying my new Verizon Wireless service I decided to check my next bill in advance. Due in Nov-Dec was $119.44. This is a lot different than the monthly charge of $88.73 I was expecting to pay. I began scanning through my statement trying to figure out what the $30 difference was for. I discovered that I had a 1GB overage on my data plan, and the fee was $15. Okay, that explains half of it. What about the other $15? I called Verizon Wireless support, and spoke to someone who explained to me that because I had changed plans in the middle of the month that overage was charged on both plans. Baffled, and confused I tried to explain that I had made no changes to my account other than changing from a temp number back in October. Apparently not listening to what I had just said, she then stated that she was sorry I wasn't aware that changing plans in the middle of the month can cause fees to carry over onto a new plan. She added a credit of $30 to my account that would show up on the Dec-Jan bill. Well that doesn't help me much, or explain anything! She still didn't understand that I had not changed plans!
    Knowing my balance of $119.44 is still due in just a few days I decided to be very conservative getting a few groceries for the week this morning. Upon checking out at the register my debit card was declined. I paid with credit instead, and decided to check on my Wells Fargo account using the iPhone app. There was a $89 charge from Verizon Wireless that had nearly emptied my checking account. Confused yet again I go home to see if there was a change in my $119.44 balance, and there was not. Lo-and-behold the $119.44 is still due by this weekend.
    So as you might imagine I'm extremely confused at this point. I have paid plenty of bills online with many different services. I don't understand why my Verizon bill is so confusing.

    I am also confused by bill.  Somone was to call me back, never did.  Also, someone to call my husband back due to his not being able to reply to his email on our home computer, although at work he's fine and his cell is fine (???)   I upgraded to HD Complete Xf.  Is this different than X1 Platform ??? I"m so confused. Firt they told me on the phone that there was a special at $199/mo for 12 mos.  But, my bill states 245.49 with -20.50 for total Bundled services at $224.99 ???? too much to list, I just called and asked that they have the same bill in front of them so we can go over line-by-line....wasn't happening.  Now I'm supposed to get a call from a supervisor tonight..... way too convoluted.

    Wow! Purchasing a new computer and monitor should be a fun and exciting experience, and instead, it sounds like it’s turned into a complete nightmare. I can only imagine your disappointment when you found two charges relating to its purchase on your debit card account, and I’m sorry for any aggravation this caused. 
    As I want to provide you some piece of mind, I pulled up your order number using your email address attached to the forum. After review of its payment information, I found we collected only one payment.  However, when orders are first placed on BestBuy.com, a pending authorization should show up on your bank card to make sure funds are available for the order until it is fulfilled. From there, the authorization should drop off and the collection charge should appear.  This is the case for your one charge of $1,051.69.
    It also sounds like an error may have occurred when you initially attempted to place your order,  resulting in one of your gift cards not registering properly and the order not being completed.  Your card’s issuing bank doesn’t appear to have recognized this and pushed through the pending authorization. This occurred a second time when your account information didn’t quite match up with what we had on file. Please know that we haven’t ordered a collection of these funds and your issuing bank should release the two pending authorizations within 5 to 7 business days.

  • Charged twice for Broadband? Bill is confusing

    I signed up for Option 1: 10Gb Broadband and unlimited calls.
    My bill appears with these charges:
    Package Broadband and calls - £15.99
    and [quote] "this package gives you • Calling plan Unlimited Anytime Plan • Broadband BT Total Broadband Option 1." [unquote]
    then
    Internet Phone
    BT Talk Anytime Plan - £5.99
    [quote] This is the cost of your Broadband at £5.99 a month charged in advance. [unquote]
    That appears to me that I pay for a bundle at £15.99 a month which includes Broadband, and then a further £5.99 again for my broadband.
    I'm confused.
    In the month I made only three calls through the internet phone and these were after 7pm so no charges there.
    ... and just to add confusion, when do I get the £40 for my new BT Credit Card??

    Had a quick reply through BT's email enquiry form from a Digital Care Advisor.  
    Apparently, I opted any time package on my BT Broadband TalkVoip service so I had been charged £5.99 on all my bills.  (I have no recollection of 'ticking this box.')
    So my 7 calls in 3 months via BT Broadband Talk VoIP cost £17.97.
    Now I'll need to contact someone to request removal of this BT Broadband Talk option.  I assume that it *IS* possible to have unlimited Landline Call option and the usual after 7pm and weekend free VoIP calls.

  • Why does the bill confuse you about when your contract expires?

    Now, I learn the hard way that the upgrade date is not your expiration date. The only date on myverizon.com was the day to upgrade, which was 8.10. So changing providers one month later, seemed acceptable. Today I get my bill and there is an Early Termination Fee for $150.00. I called customer service and they tell me they agree that it is confusing, that is why they now removed the date to upgrade from newer customers, but because we were a customer for so long there is nothing they can do. The only way to get the charge off my bill is for my son to cancel his new contract and come back to our family plan till December 10th. This is the last straw. Outrageous. Why treat really good customers this way?

    Well JonathanK, I did call customer service and explained the confusion. We actually have a famiily plan with Verizon, we have been a customer for 5-6 years and we have always had 5 users on our family plan. The BP Oil spill damaged our business and we have slowly re-organzied our lives. In that entire upheaval we told our older children they would have to get a cell phone plan on their own. We just needed to save money. So we checked online with the contract expiration times and the date we saw on one child's phone was 8/10/2013. That's when we thought for certain we were safe from termination fees if we cancelled in September, he had some life changes that couldn't let him make the change any sooner. So when the termination fee mysteriously appeared on our bill, especially since the goal of him leaving our family plan was to save money, it was a shock. So when I called customer service and tried to tell them, we would have never allowed him to leave if we knew we were going to be charged, the only solution they offered was to have him cancel his new service and come back to Verizon, which was impossible because they had to pay set up fees for their new service. I am very disappointed with how all this was handled, and that we had no indication that we were going to be charged a termination fee. If anyone would have given us a warning we would not be facing a $150.00 termination fee that we really can't afford to pay. We have three users left on our verizon contract and we will be very careful to let our contracts expire and then that is IT. We are done. We won't be stuck in a contract again, FROM NO OTHER CELL PHONE PROVIDER. Thank you for listening to my total frustration of your lack of communication.

  • Confused about my monthly bill/activation fee?!?!?

    Finally got an iPhone 4 on August 30th... paid $120 to activate it and for the phone! Which I thought was a VERY good deal. I've had the phone for 12 days no and decided to see where I'm at on my bill. I was told by the representative who helped me that I was only going to have to pay around 90 bucks a month... 60 for the monthly bill and 30 for data package! Sounded do-able. UNFORTUNATELY, I'm checking my balance that I'm going to owe on the 29th and it says I'm going to owe $160.86. I am so ******, I can't afford this!

    I don't understand why I'm getting chaged seperately for that.
    Can anyone PLEASE explain all of this to me??? THERE IS DEFINITELY A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 90 DOLLARS AND 160 DOLLARS. UGH

    Prorated means you only pay for the number of days in the month you actually had the plan,  For example, if your normal bill for one month was $120.00 and you actually only had the phone and plan for 15 days of that month, you would only be charged for 1/2 months use, or $60.00.
    But like Tidbits said, Verizon bills you in advance, so, (again assuming, for example only, that your normal one months bill is $120.00) if you had the phone and plan for 15 days of the current months billing cycle, Verizon will charge you (on your 1st bill only) $60 for the 15 days of the current month,  and then $120 for the next months service, or $180. (Plus the cost of the phone, activation fee, + taxes and any accessories you purchased, unless you paid cash at the time of purchase)  Obviously, the 1st months bill is always larger than normal.  The 2nd bill you receive will be whatever a normal months service will cost you. (in my example, $120 plus taxes and fees, but of course, yours will be whatever plan you agreed to) According to your post, it looks like about $100 plus taxes and fees.
