Confusion about Cloud Complete/Should I uninstall CS6?

So we have just subscribed to Cloud Complete for teams, and one of my users currently has CS6 Masters Collection installed on his Windows 8 laptop, should we install Cloud Complete and keep CS6? CS6 subscription has expired and we don't really want to have two versions on one Computer so essentially I guess what I'm trying to ask is what are the differences and what is the best way forward - will we lose applications that are specific to CS6 that aren't in the Cloud? In addition to this I can't seem to find Acrobat in the drop down menu on the Admin Portal on Cloud Complete, is this included as well? He also still has CS6 documents - will he be able to open them using Cloud Complete Products? I am confused as to the differences between the two. Is Cloud Complete essentially like an upgrade to CS6...

Thanks for your detailed query .
This is solely upto you if you wish to keep the CS6 and CC together as thats not going to hurt the functionality of the machine . Since the end user will be a part of the Creative Cloud for Teams , this would mean they can use both the CS6 & CC as a part of the subscription . There are some products that are not a part of CC such as Encore and if you wish to use Encore, I would suggest using the CS6 version of Adobe products or Master Collection only.
For the files, the Cs6 files can be opened up in CC version of the products . And also , Acrobat is a part of the CCT and the latest version should be available for you .

    I'm very confused on what I should about my PC's declining performance. My desktop computer is a HP Pavilion 20 All-in-one. The original OS was WIN 8, current OS WIN 8.1. I received my computer 11/8/13 and upgraded to WIN 8.1 just a few weeks later due to annoyance of it's pop-ups. The first installation of it failed but the very next day it installed on it's own and was successful. Not to long after that I began to have problems with performance. Lagging, freezes, blank or black screens, poor graphics and choppy audio and app crashes (which were solved under my HP warranty). A few months after the 8.1 upgrade I received a message in HP Support Assistant stating that my computer model was never tested with 8.1 and that could be the cause of my performance issues. The message also came with a compatibility scan which was of no use since 8.1 was already installed, and was recommended to either wait for drivers to become available or uninstall.  I got tired of waiting so Dec. 2014 I did a refresh back to 8 and didn't reinstall the 8.1. I got back my computers excellent performance. Unfortunately that was short lived due to 8.1 automatically reinstalled it's self without an option to decline it, just a warning that in 2 days it'll restart my computer to finish the installation. That happened last week and now my computer is back to poor performance again. The audio is choppy (esp. when playing games), and after a few hours of use a humming sound starts, at first it's choppy (on & off), then it becomes constant. Also sluggish loading and lagging esp. of the mouse curser which happens on and off. I checked the task manager one day while that was happening and the Disk and CPU were turning red and going up to 100% and the Memory also spikes high but not up to 100 (in between spikes MEM stays around 30% maybe that's due to recent install of The Sims 4.  Today I had a critical event happen with the Kernal Power and my computer restarted it's self. Those are the issues that I need help fixing but I also have questions that I hope can be answered here or get pointed in the right direction to an answer. 1) How or where can I get a straight forward answer to the compatibility of my computer with 8.1. When I had HP tech support I asked about the message I received from them and I was told to disregard the message because they are compatible. But after I refreshed back to WIN 8 the message came back and there was a note at the bottom of the page stating that the message could be old and possibly there are drivers available now. So I'm perplexed, if the two are compatible then why am I having the same problems that the message has listed as signs of incompatibility? 2) When I use HP Support Assistant to check for updates no downloads are available but when I use HP's website page software and driver downloads by product. It shows 10 downloads available for driver audio, driver chipset, driver grapics, driver network, BIOS, diagnostic, and software multi-media.  Should I download all of them or do I need to check them out one by one to identify if they're old or new. 3)  When my computer is idle why are background tasks performing scans that show on my action center icon but the stop as soon as the cursor is moved? and how can I identify which background processes & services can be ended or suspended to improve performance while playing high resource using games like The Sims 4? Here is some more info about my PC and thank you for taking out the time to help me.

    I would suggest that you update your Windows 8 drivers to the Windows 8.1 version drivers.
    I had a look and the Windows 8.1 drivers are all newer versions.
    Start with the Chipset, then Video, then the others, but not BIOS [yet].
    Reboot after each install.
    If performance doesn't seem better after updating your drivers to the Windows 8.1 versions then I suggest you also perform the BIOS update that is also available.

  • Confused about cloud back up of photos

    Hi,
    I am a bit of a neeb with Apple so please bare with me!
    I have an ipad new generation and an iphone 5.  I have photostream running on both of them.  So when I take a photo on either device, it appears on the other.
    I also have photostream on my PC - so any photos I take appear in a standard Windows folder on my PC.
    Does this mean that I need not back up photos I take on either device to my PC - or will any of the files on my PC be deleted for any reason that I wouldn't be aware of?
    I guess I still need to back up videos as photostream doesn't do that for me - I am worried because I don't want to lose all of my photos, but at the same time, don't want 5 different copies of the same photos on my PC.
    Also - slightly related question - Is there a way to allow any photos I take on my iphone back up to photostream (ie my PC) - but not to have my iphone download all other pictures off photostream?

    As long as you can get a good wifi connection they should upload to your photo stream.  Upload speeds can be a little slow when traveling though.  Another thing to bear in mind is that your photo stream will only keep up to 1000 photos for 30 days.  If you're going to be gone longer than that, or take more photos than that you may run into issues unless you manually add them to a shared stream (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99), which will hold up to 5000 photos per stream indefinitely until you delete them.
    Another option would be to get a dropbox account and use the dropbox app to upload them to their server for safekeeping.

  • PE9 get confused about displaying images

    Been using PE9 for a few weeks and within the past couple of days it seems to get confused about which image should be displayed within the timeline. Have a medium size project with 30-40 jpg's in it and when shown in the timeline (or in the monitor window), PE9 replaces the image associated with a particular file with an image from another file. In the Project list you can get Properties and the path\file name shows up perfectly but PE9 uses the image from another file. Tried closing the project, and PE9 - no help. Tried re-booting Windows 7 (64 bit) - nop help. This seems to get worse as time goes on and I have not been able to find a solution.

  • [MSI Z97 Xpower AC] Confusion about about BIOS updating...

    So I am a newb who has just finished his first build, using the "MSI Z97 Xpower AC" motherboard (purchased last month).
    The first thing I want to do is update the BIOS.
    But I am a little confused about how I should proceed.
    In the manual, it describes the "M-Flash" method for updating BIOS.
    But as I was reading reviews of this motherboard, there was some talk about the manual being "out-dated" in regards to BIOS update instructions. Some people suggested using some "forum method" for updating. I also see this topic which provides an alternative method for updating the BIOS:

    So how do you think I should proceed with updating the BIOS?
    Really, what is the safest method?

    I agree with that. Although for this motherboard (any with Dual BIOS), it should not matter whether it's safer or not, as you can always restore bricked BIOS by using secondary one
    As you are using very first version of BIOS (v1.0) you can either use >>This One<< for MFlash which is latest official available v1.7 from MSI's product website OR for latest official/BETA BIOS to be used with Forum flash tool, you have to ask Svet to prepare a file for you (simply ask for it on current topic)
    But the real question is: do you have any issues with your system that BIOS will fix it?? Because if your reason to flash is "I want latest", then forgive me, but that's the worst "reason" you might ever have.

(i didnt even have it for a whole day.) then, i wanted it again, so somehow i got it. but then smart me deleted it again because i made the same mistake. but i really want it back to use "a full 30 day trial" because i only had a chance to try it out for 8 hours before messing it up. so today, i made a new adobe account. and i cant get it back because that creative cloud is still on my mac. i tried everything to get rid of it and it literally wont work and i really want it back.     You can try below steps to remove Creative Cloud completely from your MAC.
    1: Navigate to : Application/Utility/Adobe Installer
    2: Double-click an Adobe CC product to uninstall one by one.
    3: Follow on-screen instructions.
    4: Download and run Adobe Cleaner tool using below link.
    Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
    5: If you don't have any Adobe product installed on your computer, you can manually remove Adobe folders from below location.
         * Library/Application Support/Adobe
         *  Mac HD/Users/<user account>/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    6: Restart the computer once.

    Not necessary. CC will recognise existing installs and simply substitute the licensing.

    Try to Sign out, Sign in | Creative Cloud Desktop app
    Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CS5.5 and later
    If that doesn't help.
    Try to uninstall the product and run the Adobe CC cleaner tool to be on a safer side.
    Install Creative Cloud app, Install the product again.
    Kindly revert if the problem still persists.

    Do I need to uninstall the previous version of Adobe CS6 and then re-install from the cloud or can I just re-license the software using the creative cloud for desktops application?

    There is no need for it. You can run CS6 Perpetual and CC on the same machine without uninstalling CS6.
