Connect a SPA112 to SPA232D
Hello,
I heard I could connect a SPA112 to SPA232D.
Analog line ---> SPA112 ---> network ---> SPA232D ---> PTSN
Can this be done via the web interface or does this require deeper command sets?
Thanks,
CREATE or REPLACE PACKAGE DATABANKER_TIPOLOGIE AS
TYPE TipTableOfRec IS TABLE OF I_TIPOLOGIA%ROWTYPE;
PROCEDURE leggi(resultset IN OUT TipTableOfRec);
END DATABANKER_TIPOLOGIE;I have solved with this replacement 1) -> 2)
1) TYPE TipTableOfRec IS TABLE OF I_TIPOLOGIA%ROWTYPE;
2) TYPE TipTableOfRec IS TABLE OF I_TIPOLOGIA%ROWTYPE
INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
with 2) now works.
Now I have stored-procedures for query, insert, delete
and update.
I have some problems with delete and update of the records
because it seems that they are locked.
I think that it is due to the absence of lock
stored-procedure... there's someone that can help me with
the lock SP implementation?

SPA112 / SPA122 Report Rule - Delta / Status outputs
Hi,
I've been playing with the Report Rule and the documentation is not very clear when it comes to the two report options: --delta and --status
If I set the Report Rule to [--status]http://myserver/posthandler.php, I see the request coming in but the content of the POST is the actual config file (flat-profile) instead of the status (flat-status). Same goes when using the --delta
I am using 1.3.1 to test but I am sure 1.3.2 is probably not working as well.
Have anyone ever been able to generate a delta and/or get the content of the ATA status.xml file? I can get it from the URL (http://my_ata_ip/admin/status.xml) but would be neat to get it remotely too.
Thanks,
BenoitI assume you are following Cisco SPA112, SPA122, SPA232D Analog Telephone Adapters Provisioning Guide
I see no --status nor --delta modifiers mentioned in Report_Rule option description. Just --key modifier is described here.
It seems that neither --status nor --delta modifiers are supported on SPA1[12]2.
As far as I know, status and delta reports are supported on SPA IP Phones (e.g. SPA[35]xx) only. The --delta is supported from 7.4.9c firmware onward, the --status has been introduced with 7.5.3 version. See Cisco Small Business IP Telephony Provisioning Guide for more information related to provisioning of this product line devices..

Connecting PSTN line to SPA112 2-Port Phone Adapter
Hi,
Not sure if this question is right but can I use the SPA112 2-Port Phone Adapter to connect a PSTN line? What I want is, I should be able to choose a line and while making calls. Use PSTN or VOIP.
Please let me know if I am using a wrong device for my purpose.
Regards,
NaiduNo, it cannot, that device has FXS ports, no FXO ports
Includes two standard telephone ports, each with an independent phone number, for use with fax machines or analog phone devices

SPA112 goes catatonic, crashes, no dialtone
Hi, I am a home user and ex-programmer. I'm using the Cisco SPA112 with the latest firmware 1.2.1 (004). Every two or three days the ATA crashes. Here are the symptoms:
a) no dial tone
b) line 1 LED is ON (as normal)
c) ATA is PINGable
d) IVR is unresponsive
e) web setup URL does not respond, can not get to the setup page
f) The reset button does not respond.
My only recourse now is the check if I have a dialtone every morning and, if not, pull and reinsert the power plug. The cold boot of course results in the local log being lost. Here is the log right after boot up.

Here are some things I have tried on my own, to no effect:
a) Tried running with Provisioning/Firmware Upgrade/Upgrade set to false.
b) Reloaded the firmware with IE. Before, I did it with FireFox.
c) Did a factory reset and re-entered the settings suggested for my ATA from Callcentric.
How should I proceed?I use an SPA112 with CallCentric. Now that the DDOS problems have subsided, my ATA continues to freeze pretty much every day. I have to power cycle first thing in the morning.
I have tried backing up the configuration, resetting the device, and restoring the configuration.
Log from recent boot shows some file system consistency errors.

SPA112 not picking up firmware
Hi,
about 60-70% of the SPA112s that I have deployed are not requesting firmware even after it picks up a new upgrade rule. The current firmware they are running is 1.2.0 (028). The firmware we are trying to upgrade to is 1.2.1 (004). I have checked the xml config for both working and non-working units and the upgrade rules are the same. The only differences between the configs were user details, ip addressing and on the 1.2.1(004) devices there were 2-4 new lines that weren't there before. A reboot of the device didn't seem to trigger a request for firmware. However, a factory reset and reprovision did. I don't particularly want to factory reset or manually upgrade 300-400 devices, so does anyone have any ideas?
ThanksHi,
I tried upgrading the device and I figured out what exactly to do when you get in to a problem like that. So lets start off once again.
Snce SPA112 must get an IP first through a DHCP on WAN port. Connect the SPA 112 device according to the instructins told in this article till the step 3.
http://www6.nohold.net/CiscoSB/Loginr.aspx?login=1&pid=4&app=search&vw=1&articleid=2775
Once you access the web GUI of SPA112 follow the contents of the following article and upgrade the firmware
http://www6.nohold.net/CiscoSB/Loginr.aspx?login=1&pid=4&app=search&vw=1&articleid=2676
In your case I believe the window got stucked at the point when it says "The upgrade is successful" and then there was no further response to HTTP requests.
Restart the device and see if it works or not. If it does not then log in to the router web GUI and navigate to the ARP table and see what are the VLAN assigned to the IP address.
NOTE: Both the router and SPA should be in the same VLAN. This way only the device will respond to the HTTP requests. If they are in a different VLAN's, navigate to the VLAN and disable the LAN memberships. For example there are two VLAN ID 1 and 100. Disable the LAN ports for the ID 100 and only enable it for 1.
Navigate to the ARP table again and refresh it. Both the IP addresses should be in the same VLAN. If yes. Access the SPA112 with an IP address assigned to it again and navigate to Administration > Firmware Upgrade. You will see the firmware of the device has been upgraded.
(optional) Upgrade the firmware again. This time, it will go through and the device will restart.
Let me know if you still need any help. -
Spa232d not disconnecting call
Hi,
We replaced our SPA3102 with a SPA232D.
FXO port is connected to our analog line, Internet port is connected to our LAN.
The PSTN line on the SPA232D is registered with our Asterisk server so calls go through our analog line.
From our IP phones to outside, everything is OK.
From outside to our IP phones, there is some problems when the call is ended : if we hang up before our external caller, the line remains open on the caller's phone. If the caller ends the call before us, we hear the disconnect tone and the calls end normally.
We tried some settings here and there but unsuccesfull... Could you help please?
Thanks!
ThomasCould we have a bit more information please: what version of iTunes and firmware are you running; 7.5/7.6 and 1.1.3/1.1.3?
Also, is the iPhone locked to a carrier; and when did this problem start? After any updates?
Cheers. -
I have a few issues with the wireless SIP handsets that we've deployed. Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks!
1. Handset goes to a busy signal when sending the phone number to dial. If you try dialing the same number after this is encountered the call goes threw fine. Just for some reason it occasionally goes to a busy signal when you first dial. From looking at server logs it doesn't look like the Handset makes it as far as trying to dial the number at the server. Any ideas?
2. SPA302D handset occasionally goes to sleep and will not come back on until it is placed in the charging cradle. At which point it pops back on and acts like nothing was ever the matter. Any ideas why sometimes you can't get it respond until it's placed on the charging cradle? Battery is fine by any metric.
Thanks! Any help would be greatly appreciated. All SPA232D/SPA302D are upgraded to the latest firmware version.Ok, after a great deal of traffic sniffing, logs, and endless testing we believe the problem is firmware related. So, guess we're just waiting on firmware fixes if they ever arrive. End results of our testing copied below:
When a properly handed call is sent from the ATA here is the normal flow of messages exchanged between it on the platform;
1. ATA Invites
2. Platform Unauthorized
3. ATA ACK Unauth
4. ATA Invite with nonece challenge
5. Platform 100 Trying
6. blah blah blah
What's happening occasionally with these ATAs
1. ATA Invites
2. Platform Unauthorized
3. ATA Invite
4. Platform Request Pending
5. ACK Unauth
You'll see that the Invite>unauth>ack unauth>invite is out of order in the second sequence. For SOME unknown reason this happens occasionally. I think it is related to making several calls in quick succession VIA the ATA. What's misleading here is that it happens to the users sometimes when they first pick up the phone without dialing previously BUT what if other users connected to that ATA had already made calls? -
SPA112 - Can receive but not make calls
I have just setup an SPA112 at home behind a NAT router and have configured it to a state where I can receive but not make calls.
It registers fine and remains registered.
The Line 1 Status indicates a State of "invalid" and a Tone of "reorder" when the call fails.
I believe I have fiddled with the dial plan sufficient to ensure that the number is not being rejected based on it. My current dial plan is as follows:
(*xx|000S0|0[2-9][69]xxxxxxxS0|[69]xxxxxxxS0|04xxxxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)
I have tried with and without an outbound proxy.
I have attempted to debug the issue, enabling full DEBUG level logging and setting "SIP debug option" to "full", but all I get in the log when making a failed call is the following:

I can successfully make calls with soft phones configured with similar settings behind the same router.
What am I missing?
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks. Thanks for the post.
To clarify, I have been testing the connection by attempting calls to and from my mobile phone. If I use my mobile to call the number linked to the VOIP account that the SPA112 connects to, the call is received fine and the call works perfectly; I can hear voice at both ends fine.
If I attempt to call the mobile from the phone behind the SPA112 I immediately get a reorder tone as soon as the number is dialed by the SPA112 (i.e. immediately if it matches a number in the dial plan followed by S0 or after the short wait period otherwise etc.)
On the other hand, if I use a softphone (I've tried MicroSIP and Blink) I can place calls to the same mobile through the same VOIP account from the same LAN behind the same NAT as the SPA112, and the calls are received and bidirectional voice comms works just fine.
I'm not sure if I can make calls internal to my LAN with this setup... I only have the one VOIP account, and have no SIP server on the LAN (if that's the right terminology, I'm new to this).
Unfortunately I'm not sure what you're refering to when you talk about ACL and COR. The topology is very straight forward: the SPA112 (along with a couple of PCs) on a LAN behind a NAT router with an internet connection on the other side. The SPA112 is configured as a DMZ, though I don't believed this had any impact for better or worse. In no test for either SPA112 or softphone have I forwarded any ports or changed any router configuration at all (with the exception of the DMZ).
So the question is why the softphone can place calls fine, but the SPA112 can only receive calls. The dial plan is an obvious answer, but I'm fairly certain I've ruled this out.
If someone can tell me how to get more detailed logging out of the SPA112 that would be very useful as well. -
How to detect disconnect tone in spa112
In spa-3102 is very easy: http://ubuntu4us.corp.eng.br/artigos/voip/asterisk-pbx-and-linksys-spa-3102
How to detect disconnect tone in spa112 ????SPA112 has no FXO line at all. It have FXS lines only.
Analog phone devices connected to FXS port could just hang-up if they are wishing to terminate the call. No busy tone detection is necessary nor implemented for FXS port. -
I just purchased the SPA112 earlier and cannot configure this unit, not sure if it is a defective unit, please provide assistance.
Trying to configure using browser:
- Connect ethernet cable from my computer to the internet port on the SPA112, cannot open 192.168.15.1
- Checked the IP, showing 169.254.x.x address, so I configured it to static IP 192.168.15.5 so it's on the subnet (also entered gateway IP and DNS as 192.168.15.1)
- Still can't open 192.168.15.1, can't ping 192.168.15.1 , I checked IPCONFIG/ALL and the PC is showing IP 192.168.15.5
Then I tried to configure using the phone, plug it into the phone port:
- Entered 100# to check the connection type, keep getting the main greeting
- Entered 101#, then 1# for static IP
- Entered 111#, then entered 192*168*0*3 (this is the static IP that I want to configure it to on my LAN), then press 2 to confirm the number is there, press 1# and got the message that number saved.
- Entered 110#, the IP announced is 0.0.0.0
- Tried again 3 times, each time made sure that it was saved, still showing 0.0.0.0
Factory reset, then tried again, same thing, no luck.
Is this a defective unit? Can't connect to it using the browser to 192.168.15.1, can't save entry using the phone, should I return it to the store?Hi Quoc,
Since you just purchased this unit, please contact the Cisco Small Business Support Center. You will find the phone numbers in your area here:

Hi,
I'm finding a problem when logging into the SPA112. Have upgrded to the latest firmware 1.3.5(XU)
After a factory reset it logs in from Firefox fine into admin/admin. I then run auto provisioning (from 2Talk) and that works all fine and I get a phone connection.
Then go into the correct IP address with Firefox and get the login screen. However admin/admin then gives "Invalid username or password, please try again".
Doing a factory reset then gets admin/admin back. Have tried changing the password before the provisioning, that still won't let me log in after I've done the auto-provisioning.
Have also tried Chrome and IE, still the same.
Also tried my 2Talk (the VoIP provider) username and password. No go either.
Any help much appreciated. If the provisioning is in the form of plain text XML file, you should look for Admin_Passwd
If it is the compiled but unencrypted SPC file, you should be kind of hacker to be able to read it.
If it is the compiled SPC file encrypted by phone-specific password, you should be very experienced hacker to be able to decrypt it (phone-specific password is derived from either MAC or serial number and derivation algorithm is not public, but it can be extracted from SPC compiler by experienced reverse engineer).
As I don't expect the 2Talk file will be readable, you should consider another approach. Forget the automatic provisioning and follow 2Talk guide to configure SPA122 manually. Note that guide for SPA122 should work for SPA112 with just slight differences.
Rate useful advices. It will help others to found solutions.

Lighter adapter for MacBook Pro?

I'm sure this is an obvious one but can't figure it out. I have a Winserver 2008 Sp2 (x86) DC with a static IP address allocated to its only NIC. It seems to have acquired a second 169.254.x.x address automatically which I can't get rid of and which
