SPA112 not picking up firmware

Hi,
about 60-70% of the SPA112s that I have deployed are not requesting firmware even after it picks up a new upgrade rule. The current firmware they are running is 1.2.0 (028). The firmware we are trying to upgrade to is 1.2.1 (004). I have checked the xml config for both working and non-working units and the upgrade rules are the same. The only differences between the configs were user details, ip addressing and on the 1.2.1(004) devices there were 2-4 new lines that weren't there before. A reboot of the device didn't seem to trigger a request for firmware. However, a factory reset and reprovision did. I don't particularly want to factory reset or manually upgrade 300-400 devices, so does anyone have any ideas?

I tried upgrading the device and I figured out what exactly to do when you get in to a problem like that. So lets start off once again.
Snce SPA112 must get an IP first through a DHCP on WAN port. Connect the SPA 112 device according to the instructins told in this article till the step 3.

Once you access the web GUI of SPA112 follow the contents of the following article and upgrade the firmware

In your case I believe the window got stucked at the point when it says "The upgrade is successful" and then there was no further response to HTTP requests.
Restart the device and see if it works or not. If it does not then log in to the router web GUI and navigate to the ARP table and see what are the VLAN assigned to the IP address.
NOTE: Both the router and SPA should be in the same VLAN. This way only the device will respond to the HTTP requests. If they are in a different VLAN's, navigate to the VLAN and disable the LAN memberships. For example there are two VLAN ID 1 and 100. Disable the LAN ports for the ID 100 and only enable it for 1.
Navigate to the ARP table again and refresh it. Both the IP addresses should be in the same VLAN. If yes. Access the SPA112 with an IP address assigned to it again and navigate to Administration > Firmware Upgrade. You will see the firmware of the device has been upgraded.
(optional) Upgrade the firmware again. This time, it will go through and the device will restart.

    Are these defective?  One was working for 2 weeks the other failed at install time however it did work when we provisioned it.

    All I can say is - it works for me. May be you missed the response as it's hard to recognize it.
    Enter IVR menu. Press 100. Wait until the IVR says one-zero-zero. Press #. IVR will shout "zero".  But it will not help you as code 100 return DHCP settings od WAN interface - and SPA112 has no one.
    On SPA122, there are two interfaces - WAN and LAN, IVR codes 1xx are dedicated to WAN interface. IVR codes 2xx are dedicated to LAN interface. There are no WAN interface on SPA112, so 1xx codes are meaningless here. As there are no 2xx codes for network settings, the LAN interface can't be configured by IVR. Just use IVR code 210 to obtain LAN IP address, then use browser to configure the device.
    I don't know if it is intentional behavior or not. I don't know if it follow the user's manual or not. But the devices seems to work this way.

    Do not overdo, please. Even if you are unable to use DHCP to assign IP address, even if you are unable to set static IP via IVR, the phone still can be configured via WWW according your wishes.
    Yes, the SPA1xx is buggy device, there are so many issues with it, but this one is not critical issue that make them impossible to use.

  • Windows 8 not picking up embedded product key when installed with WDS

    Ok so here is my setup.
    Server 2008 R2, running WDS and serving various images.
    the Windows 8 image is a vanilla boot.wim and install.wim imported from a system builder iso.
    If I burn the ISO or extract it onto a USB drive, then the install process picks up the embedded Windows product keys no problem.
    If I deploy the same thing via WDS, the setup wizard asks for the keys, ergo, is not picking them up from the UEFI firmware. Is this an inherent limitation of WDS or am I doing something wrong?

  • WRT54GX2 does not pick up time from the network...

    I have a WRT54GX2 running firmware 1.01.14 and it does not pick up time from the network. I have PacBell (now AT&T) as an ISP and a DSL link. My old Netgear router picks up the time immediately. I am trying to figure out if I have a defective unit or if this is a firmware bug. Without the time, I can not use any of the scheduling functions, nor measure uptime.
    Does anyone have this router with the time working? I have set the appropriate time zone.

  • My airport card is not picking up a wireless signal?

    I just bought an original Apple Airport card for my PowerMac G4 (mirrored doors)(1.25ghz). I installed a brand new D-Link wireless router w/ rangebooster on a PC located in the basement. The airport card is recognized by my mac, but it doesn't see any networks, even when I manually enter the name of the network I created when I installed the router to the PC. I'm wondering if it's not picking up a signal because the PC is located 2 floors below the mac. D-Link customer service say that shouldn't be the problem at all (with the model I have), and that it may be a problem with the installation/configuration of the AirPort card.
    Is there a driver/update I should install along with the airport (original) card?
    If anyone has any tips/knowledge on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

    The installation does not pick up the right jdk version that is jdk 11.6.0_11 . Although the machine is running the same. Instead it picks up jdk 1.6.0_14. have tested the machine many times. I am Installing Oracle SOA Suite 11g.

    Inside "startWebLogic.sh" file add the JAVA_HOME like following (just below the "setDomainEnv.sh" call):

    My initial problem was that I suddenly could not copy purchased music from iTunes to my iPod. I tried the suggestion of downloading the iPod Updater. The Updater did indicate that my iPod software, 2.2, "needs update".     Yes, I've had this problem too. And the iPod has not been updated with any of the tracks I bought since updating to iTunes 5, but iTunes REloaded all the older tracks onto my iPod. Why? Seeing as the upgrade to iTunes 5 was a bit traumatic in itself, I'm not altogether surprised to discover the newer tracks had not been copied: there is obviously some incompatability here somewhere - but goodness knows where.

    What are the payment terms on the invoices? If these are not IMMEDIATE, and the payment is not due, the system would not pick them up until they are due.
    What is the payment method on the invoice and in the PPR? Are you running the PPR for electronically paid invoices but the invoices are set to be paid by check?
    Are there any holds on the suppliers you are trying to pay?
    What are the other parameters you gave when running the PPR? It helps to check those against the invoice to make sure they would qualify.
    Information about the pararameters you are using and one of the invoices to be selected would be helpful.

  • Document type KR is not picking to Clear GL account with T-code F-03

    My client wants to clear GL account Cash-in-Transit which is open item managed. He has posted two items. One is with KR document type like Intercompnay adjustment account debit (40) and Cash-in-Transit account credit (50). Second item is with SA document type like Cash-in-Transit accont debit (40) and Intercompany adjustment account credit (50). He did not give vendor number and appropriate posting key (31) while postings. With document type KR, he posted with posting keys 40 and 50. Now while clearing the GL account through T-code F-03, system is picking only SA document type. The system is not picking document type KR. He wants to clear the items with each other. I have checked the document type settings. Check boxes Intercompany postings and trading partner are active in both above document types.
    How can the GL account be cleared ? Are any configuration settings missing ? Kindly advice as soon as possible.

    First of all..why would system need a Exchange gain/Loss Account..If your local currency is INR and you posted a debit and a credit document both in INR..then there is no question of a foreign exchange gain/loss account..
    BUT, if you have posted the document in any currency other than INR, ie: your local currency...then the system would need a exchnage gain/loss account when you try to clear the debits and credits.. i am giving an example below to explain better..
    You posted a debit of 100 USD @ 40 = Rs. 4000.00
    You posted a Credit of 100 USD @ 42 = Rs. 4200.00
    Now, if you clear this debit and credit then there is no difference in 100 USD, as the debit and credit is netting off.. but if you see INR there is a difference of Rs. 200.00 which system posts to Exchange gain/loss account..which we maintain in OB09.

    Delete the current proposal of the payment run. Enter parameters once again. In Free selection tab restrict the currency to INR field. Run the proposal once again. If it still does pick up line items, check the following things
    1. Parameters of the first payment run. Did you restrict the payment run only for the first payment method
    2. Also see the dates entered in parameter tab of both runs

  • TDS liability line items are not picking in u2013 J1INCHLN

    During depositing of TDS through J1INCHLN it is not picking all line items i.e. available in Ledger (FBL3N). We came to know after reconciliation even as all line items are available in table With_item as uncleared.
    We are facing this problem as the data from 01.03.2009u2026. Previously everything was working fine.
    One more thing I will stress here that we have started Purchase Order based invoice verification also from this period.
    Pl help ASAP.

    check the line of TDS is having the Business Place, if the business place is not capturng in TDS line items , then the create the substitution for Business Place & Section Code.
    without business place in TDS line items you can't make the TDS payment.

    In F110 , when ever you run Payment Proposal , it picks the invoices which are due for the Payment Run date. It also depends on the Next Run Date , Based on the Discount periods of the Payment terms.
    In both MTR1 & MTR2 , check your Next Run date.

    Check the base line date for this IV - I dont think the document is overdue in MRT1 that is the reason it is not picked up (in frist payment run). It is overdue in the payment run (in January you run).
    Check the invoice date for document getting picked up ( i hope it is with in the date), check the base line date for payment for payment proposal (I hope on 30th it is not overdue).

    You are referring to OFFICE 2010, not Windows XP or 7.
    And which version of Windows do you have?
    NEVER begin before you have a backup, ideally one you have tested and know works.
    You don't really install Boot Camp, the Assistant is a partition tool utility.
    You may just want Office 2008 for Mac.
    If you need Office for Windows, perhaps run Windows in a VM like Parallels or Fusion.
    Buy some backup drives and start using TimeMachine for one backup, then weekly backup with SuperDuper.
    IF there is now a partition for Windows, all you need is to buy Windows, and I would recommend Windows 7 Home Premium (retail) which is about US$149.
    Has nothing to do with free space. Office 2010 isn't to boot from. In fact, you can copy the disc to a folder (1.25GB) and run SETUP from there.
