Connecting to multiple JMX servers

Hello,
I'm working under JRockit 1.9 150 and WL Integration 8.1.
My application connects to multiple WL servers to retrieve data with JMX. The connections are established when the application initializes and they are kept during the execution. I use this code to make connections:
Environment env = new Environment();
env.setProviderUrl(url);
env.setSecurityPrincipal(user);
env.setSecurityCredentials(password);
Context ctx = env.getInitialContext();
home = (MBeanHome) ctx.lookup(MBeanHome.LOCAL_JNDI_NAME);
rmbs = home.getMBeanServer();
The problem is that I only can connect to the server which I make the last connection. With the other servers I get this response:
error[...] [Security:090398]Invalid Subject: weblogic
I can solve the problem making always a new connection to the server, but I think it's not the best solution.
Any opinion?
Thanks

  • Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate - how to connect to multiple TFS Servers?

    Hi Folks,
    I have to use two different Team Foundation servers (different solutions on each one).  I have connected to one TFS server using Team Explorer,  but I cannot work out how to connect to the second server.   I have the settings 'Connect:
    Offline' - but I cannot find the dialog where I can enter the address of the other TFS Server.
    On previous versions of Visual Studio, one could 'Disconnect' and then choose 'Connect to Team Project', however, that option no longer seems to be available.
    When I try and open the solution that is on the other server I get binding not found errors and cannot checkout the solution.

    Hi Andy,
    Thanks for your post.
    In Team Explorer, click Select Team Project… to open the
    Connect to Team Foundation Server dialog to connect to another TFS Server. Please refer to the screenshots under

  • How do you span a jta usertransaction across multiple jms servers?

    I have an ejb that connects to multiple jms servers (non-clustered) and
              retrieves messages. Those messages are concatenated together and placed on
              another jms queue. Is it possible to do all of this inside of one
              transaction? I am having trouble pulling this off.

    Sure, you can do this. Assuming you're using WLS JMS, you have to make sure that for all the JMS servers you're talking to, you use a connection factory with the "XA Connection Factory Enabled" flag set. You also need to make sure that you use JTA to start a transaction before retrieving the first message, and commit it after you're done with the final send.

  • Multiple Database Servers Question

    Hi,
    Please forgive this ignorant question, but can someone tell
    me how one would go about using multiple database servers?
    Just as there comes a time where one would need more than
    one web server and would need to use a load balancing
    solution, what happens when one would need more than one
    Database Server?
    How does one go about implementing that solution?
    Is there some way to have two database servers carrying the
    same information with some kind of load balancing solution
    in front of it(?) or does one place some tables on one
    Database
    server, and other tables on the other database server?
    (I have no clue as to how things would work.)
    Thanks in advance,
    Joe

    Microsoft SQL allows for clustering of SQL databases, so for
    instance two servers connected to a fileshare and a virtual address
    shared across the two physical boxes. Database connections are made
    to the virtual addres which will then be handled by the active
    node. Becuase a database is ultimately a file(s) on a disk it can
    only be attached to one node at a time so you end up with an
    active/inactive cluster.

    =============================================================================
    In recent versions of Solaris, the Xsun keyboard & mouse DDX modules
    have been extended to support multiple keyboards and mice on Solaris.
    The Xorg server on Solaris x86 has similarly been extended to support
    multiple mice, but not yet multiple keyboards.
    Unfortunately, this is not a very well documented feature, though it is
    supported - but you must pay close attention to the configuration
    instructions and Limitations described below.
    There are currently two choices for configuring X on a machine with
    multiple input devices:
    * One X server with the extra devices available via the X Input
    extension (commonly used for accessibility helper programs, or for x86
    laptop users)
    * Multiple X servers, each with its own set of input & output
    devices ("multi-seat" mode)
    The two methods can be mixed on a single machine - when configuring you
    simply need to determine which X server each device is going to be
    associated with.
    Requirements
    * Solaris 9 FCS or later (SPARC or x86)
    * USB-capable machine
    * For Solaris 9, USB patch 115338-01 (sparc)/115339-01 (x86) or
    newer. For Solaris 10, s10_17 or newer.
    Limitations
    Due to the nature of USB and Sun's implementation, USB devices may get
    different numbers when initialized or hot-plugged in a different order.
    A partial solution is to use the full path name under the /devices
    hierarchy - this is tied to the physical port a device is plugged into,
    so the order is no longer a problem, but devices must always be plugged
    into the same port this way.
    Xsun Configuration
    The following sections may be added to either
    /etc/openwin/server/etc/OWconfig or /usr/openwin/server/etc/OWconfig.
    Xsun reads both when starting up and merges their contents.
    * 1. Run ls -l /dev/usb/hid* to see what the existing device names are.
    * 2. Attach the additional input devices to the machine
    * 3. ls -l /dev/usb/hid* to see what the newly attached device names
    are. Note at the end of each symlink line it will list whether it is a
    keyboard or a mouse.
    * 4. Add lines of the following form to OWconfig, one for each
    device, and each with a unique name beginning with "IMOUSE" or "IKBD":
    # sun Keyboard module
    class="XINPUT" name="IKBD2"
    dev="/dev/usb/hid2" strmod="usbkbm"
    ddxHandler="ddxSUNWkbd.so.1"
    ddxInitFunc="ddxSUNWkbdProc";
    # sun Mouse module
    class="XINPUT" name="IMOUSE2"
    dev="/dev/usb/hid3" strmod="usbms"
    ddxHandler="ddxSUNWmouse.so.1"
    ddxInitFunc="ddxSUNWmouseProc";
    * 5. To configure multiseat mode, add a section to OWconfig to
    associate each keyboard, mouse, and frame buffer with a specific display
    (in this case ":1"):
    class="XDISPLAY" name="1"
    coreKeyboard="IKBD2" corePointer="IMOUSE2"
    dev0="/dev/fb1";
    * 6. Test your configuration. For multiseat mode, run an Xserver on
    the display you listed (xinit :1 or add a line for :1 to
    /etc/dt/config/Xservers ). For use with the X input extension, restart X
    and run xinputdev -l (source code here) to list the devices the server
    sees. You can also run xinputdev -k & xinputdev -m to switch your core
    keyboard and mouse to the specified devices.

    The report gets called via the rwservlet (hope that answers your question correctly)
    The application is in OAS.
    The separation i require is both in the database and the reports themselves.
    For example let's say i have devapp and testapp - both the exact same app. But they both need to access reports under the same key, but the report needs to get its info from its respective dev and test databases. The key is hardcoded so can't change.
    If i understand correctly (a big "if"), the cgicmd.dat file tells wich report to grab and which database to connect to based on the key. Is there a way to have separate key map files (cgicmd.dat) called by separate applications? So that devapp will get Report1 using devdatabase, where testapp wil get Report1 using testdatabase?
    It may not be possible to do this kind of server consolidation, I just need to know one way or another for sure - and if it is possible, how to proceed.

  • OAM Webgate - webgate agent point to multiple Access Servers?

    I am trying to find out if it is possible to have a single webgate agent on OHS server point to more than one OAM server.
    We have multiple OAM servers (not clustered) behind a load balancer. When I set up an agent for the OHS server, I copy the cwallet.sso and ObAccessClient.xml from, for example, OAM server 1. The OAM servers are all setup the same.
    It seems the cwallet.sso is tied directly to that OAM server, and if I try to point the OHS to server 2, I get errors. I change the ObAccessClient.xml to the url specified in the load balancer.
    Is it possible to have one set of files (cwallet.cco and ObAccessClient.xml) that would work on different OAM servers?
    thanks in advance.
    Mark

    In that case, the default behaviour is that a WebGate cannot connect to an OAM server in a different installation (different to the one it is registered in).
    However, this functionality is available in a Multi-Data Centre architecture, details of which can be found here: Using Multi-Data Centers - 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.2)
    I think this may meet your requirements?

  • Running a Select query against multiple sql servers using SSIS script task.

    Hi Guys,
    I need to fetch data from multiple sql servers using  SSIS scirpt task inside a foreach container.
    is there anyway i can build dynamic sql connections using ssis variables inside SSIS script task in each loop
    Please guide me or refer any blogs so that i will try..
    Thanks in advance.

    Your only options is using .net code, then it will be no different than using a console app in a loop.
    using (SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(connectionString))
    connection.Open();
    Console.WriteLine("ServerVersion: {0}", connection.ServerVersion);
    Console.WriteLine("State: {0}", connection.State);
    and so forth for each connection string
    the connection string would come from the ForEach loop

  • Question on installing Multiple Directory Servers

    Hello All,
    I seem to be having a problem installing multiple directory servers, and I was hoping that somebody could help me. Here is what I am trying to do:
    I install DS 2005Q4 on HostA. I have it be the User/Group and Configuration Server. This install goes ok and I can use the administration server and console to manage the servers.
    I then go to HostB and install DS 2005Q4 and tell it to use the configuration server on HOSTA. I use the the passwords for Admin and Directory Manager and tell it to store User/Group information. I also install the admistration server.
    The problem is when I go to manage this second ldap server throught either administration server it tells me that I have insufficient rights. That is if I click on the configuration tab and try and look at anything.
    The second adminsitration server can see and manage the DS on HOSTA fine, but not the DS on HostB. The same thing goes for the administration server on HostA. It can manage the DS on HostA but not the DS on HostB. It keeps saying insufficient rights.
    The end goal is to setup these DS in multimaster replication and have the o=netscaperoot replicated to HostB.
    I am sure I must be doing something stupid, but I have banged my head on the wall all week and I thought I would see if somebody had any suggestions.
    The hardware is a pair of v210's with 4GB of memory and I am running Solaris 10 01/06 fully patched.
    Thanks for any help,
    Gary

    just for completness, when you have installed the consumer, you have manually started the admin server up haven't you??? if not, do so!
    also ensure that the host file holds the correct IP and host/host domain name.
    ensure you can contact the config server from your consumer etc.
    ensure you can connect to the consumer from the config server etc.
    if using the GUI from a machine other than the config server, ie pc based. ensure connectivity and host look up is acheivable from the PC.

  • Multiple Application Servers - Same class instance

    Hi,
    Due to increasing load we have to add multiple Web Servers and Application Servers (custom built) for our Web Application.
    As currently we are using 'synchronized' for adding and releasing connection in ConnectionPool and also using static in several other classes - we have to make these few classes single instance across the application servers.
    We are using iPlanet 6.0 for Win 2000. Is there any way we can direct specific classes for a single instance. Please provide me with all sorts of alternatives.
    Thanks a lot,
    Suman Biswas

    Hi,
    Yes, we have different JVMs. Different JVM means different processes,now there can be two cases,these process running on same machines
    or on different machines.If it is in different machines then undoubtly you require to go for the Distributed Technology(RMI for java).
    As we have couple of classes which are using
    'synchronized' - cann't we use centralized classes for
    these couple of classes to maintain integrity?Yes you can do it,now this centralized class should be available in common place from where your all applications can get results,and for avoiding the data corruption your require to go for synchronized(if some global variables) block,since the same instance will be serving all the requests.
    When you say RMI - my question is how the commercial products handle these kind of issues while they are in multiple servers?I have created some application using RMI but not the same one which you had specified.I had used it for different purpose.

  • Multiple sites, multiple Edge servers

    How do I configure multiple Edge servers? I am working with a client that has offices in US, Europe, and Asia. There are three sites configured. Each site has it's own internet and voice provider.
    Right now they use one Edge server that is located in US. How do I add more Edge servers? Should I use different names for sip.domain.com records?
    Any way to configure that if US user in Europe, this user will automatically use Edge server that is located in Europe? Same for Asia.
    Can someone help me find documentation and/or explain how to configure it?
    Thank you.
    Thank you. Eric.

    Eric,
    Obviously when you get into global Lync deployments things get a bit more complicated.  So there are a few things you can do to mitigate issues/failover/etc.  So to the questions at hand.
    The Lync 2013 Client utilizes the Lync Discover service as the default login method.  So as I described in the above post, when the Lync 2013 Client logs in, it will resolve lyncdiscoverinternal.domain.com and lyncdiscover.domain.com before it goes
    to the SRV records like OCS/2010 Clients did.  The Lync Discover service is a web service that would be published via the reverse proxy.  In terms of your example, yes, the first time a user connects to the Lync Server they would connect to where
    ever lyncdiscover.domain.com is published. So let's say it's in the US. The client will pass XML files back and forth and go to the edge server defined for the EU Site. The next time the user logs in remotely, they will not go back to the lyncdiscover.domain.com
    as the client will cache the location it's supposed to connect in the configuration.cache file.  So yes, it would go to the US but only the first attempt (or if it's server was down).
    As for the second question.  You could utilize a global DNS solution so users in EU get directed to a Reverse Proxy in EU where lyncdiscover.domain.com is published.  US folks would go to US, etc. etc.
    Thanks,
    Richard

  • R/3 connected to multiple XI instances

    Can a single R/3 instance be connected to multiple XI instances at the same time?  If so are there any limitations and is there any special considerations that should be taken into account?

    Limitation is only when you are using proxy because here you are using native XI protocol and depend on these administration settings in SXMB_ADM. In SXMB_ADM there is one selection you can choose either INTEGRATION SERVER or NON INTEGRATION SERVER. If you choose non integration you have to point to your current integration server and here you can only fill one destination.
    Assuming :
    Type XI : R/3
    RFC  N   : M
    IDOC N   : M
    Proxy (XI) 1:N
    other adapters N : M
    where
    N,M - any number
    By the way using few XI servers connected to one R/3 is a little bizzare

  • Restarting multiple Weblogic Servers.

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to restart multiple WebLogic Servers from a single point(server).If yes,can someone please provide a shell script?
    Thanks in advance.
    Edited by: user10661185 on Nov 28, 2008 7:27 AM

    This is the point where you really need to dive into the WLST documentation and start to understand how to build these things yourself. However, I'll give you some advice that isn't found in the manual.
    The samples in the doc assume an interactive WLST session, which isn't practical for automated scripts. I prefer to build a Bash script that looks somewhat like this skeleton:
    #! /bin/bash
    $WEBLOGIC_HOME/common/bin/wlst.sh << HEREDOC
    connect(...)
    ... operations ...
    disconnect()
    HEREDOC
    For you, you would have multiple groups of connect()/disconnect() pairs, one for each domain, and "start()" and "shutdown()" calls in each. Read about these operations in the manual. It's handy to click on the DOC entry for "WLST Command Summary, Alphabetically By Command", which then gives you links for each command.

  • SIU "Apply system configuration settings" and Connect computers to directory servers

    Good morning/Afternoon/Evening everyone.
    I've currently been studying/researching imaging with OSX 10.9 server, using the SIU.  As I'm going through it, one option that is appealing to me, is the "COnnect computers to directory servers:" option under the Apply System configuration settings workflow action.
    The issue is that when click on the + to add a server, it only comes up with Localhost (127.0.0.1) and won't give me the option to point to my OD server for binding.  Is there a way to change this, or some other option I am missing?
    Also, I'm at a loss to find any setting in Profile manager that will enable/turn on "Remote management" for ARD and SSH.

    Thank you for that link, it is insightful.  So let me throw this into the mix:
    When it comes to ARD, we have to have a local user on the local machine, in order to login, correct? It won't allow us to have OD authenticated admins/users login to the client machine. Is that correct?
    If that is the scenario, then how are we to lock down a situation where we are imaging multiple macs and have the potential to have admins changing or leaving, and a need to reset local machine admin credentials. Obviously we aren't going to do this individually per machine. This would also need to be done via scripting (or ARD CLI to our enterprise), but then each image needs to be updated or all new machines need to be touched after image/install.
    Am I thinking of this the correct way?
    Also, is it possible to create an image that has no local user at all, or is that just nonsense?

  • CS3 / CS4 connection to remote/testing servers times out.

    Hello,
    I have 2 questions:
    1. Can DreamWeaver be configured to bind once for multiple ldap authentication transactions?
    2. Can DreamWeaver be configured to increase it's timeout when connecting to remote/testing servers?
    Details below ...
    ============
    Setup
    Client: DW CS3/4 clients on WIN XP
    Server: Suse Linux 2.6 (SP3)
    Protocol: WebDAV via apache 2.2, LDAP authentication
    Problem description
    Dreamweaver Clients fail to connect to remote/testing servers during peak usage hours.
    Analysis
    Connecting to the remote/testing servers requires approximately 900 database transactions to test user privileges for content, simplified as the following:
    900 x [ bind + lookup + unbind ]
    During peak hours, this process can sometimes take upwards of 30 seconds to complete.  In these cases, Dreamweaver times out (at approximately 40 seconds) and then user must try the process again.
    Possibe Solutions
    a) Increase cache size in apache.
    This has been done, but we have a large client base, and with 900 look-ups per user, we hit the ceiling of an acceptable cahce size.  This solution does not work for us.
    b) Change DreamWeaver authentication to only bind once.
    Binding 900 times for 900 separate lookups is wasteful.  Can DreamWeaver be configured to bind once and have multiple transactions?
    [ bind + [ 900 x lookup ] + unbind ]
    c) Change DreamWeaver timeout value
    Currently DreamWeaver times out on connection attempts at about 30-40 seconds.  Can DreamWeaver be configured to timeout at a different value?
