Connection with Kiss PC Link from PC to Kiss DP 600

I have a desktop PC in the bedroom [upstairs] with Window XP SP3 and connect to the internet broadband with ADDON ADD-GWAR 3550 wireless router to IP Talk Talk,
In the livingroom [downstairs] I have KISS DP600 connected to the TV as a DVD player.
I have Kiss PC Link on the PC but cannot get it to connect with DP600
Unfortunately I'm not very clever in setting things up so I was hoping that you can provide the necessary information on how to get it all working please.

I gave it a try myself, only problem is that my /etc/rc.d/kissd works, but not how it is suppost to work:
# /etc/rc.d/kissd start
:: Starting KiSS Daemon [BUSY]
starting kissd...
shutting down kissd...
[DONE]
anyone knows how to fix this?
