Cons hierarchy restructuring -- Move a group with its subgroups to another

We need to restructure the consolidation hierarchy as per management decision.
Need to move a consolidation group along with the sub groups and units under it to another group that is in parallel (at the same level in the hierarchy) with the group that needs to be moved.
e.g. Cons Group CG10 (with parent unit CU11) is the top group and CG20, CG30 and CG40(with parent units CU21, CU31 and CU41 respectively) are under it and groupos CG41 and CG42 are under CG4.
We now need to move group CG40 along with its units and sub groups under CG20. The parent unit CU41 is currently 100 % owned by CU11 and will need to be transferred to CU21.
Please suggest the best way to handle this.
Do we need to create a new group along with new sub groups under CG20??
Or it's Ok to create just one new group for CG40 and move the subgroups CG41 and CG42 as they are.
Please advice ASAP.

You can't move a cons group within a fiscal year, so you may need to create a CG40b, CG41b, CG42b (i.e., new version of the groups).
If it's the end of the year, it may be possible but probably not advisable to try and move the groups themselves, but I assume the system would complain.  I've never tried it myself, and don't know how the transfer would work if the old groups were gone.
I would create CG41b, CG42b.  Set the divestiture date for the units in the CG4x groups, add the units and first consolidation dates to the CG4xb groups, set accounting techniques, etc.
Create an organization change number with sender CG41 and receiving CG41b.  Ensure you have the prepration for consolidation group change tasks configured in your task hierarchy.  I've always had two tasks, one for 02/12 (before elims), and another for 22 (after elims but before CoI).
In the additional financial data, create total transfer activity for the units in question, referencing the Org Change number created earlier.
Execute the consolidation as early as possible during the close, even if it's just preliminary data, and have the business verify the postings seem reasonable.

    When you move a document to another library by a SharePoint Designer Workflow, the version history is
    not maintained. This behavior is by design, because the version history of a document is relative
    to its original document library. The moved document is considered as a new document in
    the destination library.
    The only solution is to move the documents via Windows Explorer or through Manage Content & Structure.
    Open the two document libraries in Windows Explorer and move your files from source to destination or move your files through Manage Content & Structure.
    The Manage Content & Structure feature is only available in Enterprise edition.
    NOTE: The version will be maintained if you MOVE the files. If the files are COPIED
    it will not maintain the version.

    If I create an object which has a keyframe animation, how can I change its location/scale without adding new keyframes? That is, I want to move the whole thing with all its animations & keyframes as a single entity.

    big thanks for that. Unless Im doing something stupid when I did that it made a new copy of the object but did allow me to place that new instance elsewhere.
    Is there any way just to move an object and its path without making a new copy?

  • Read group membership for a user object and populate every group with matching user from another domain

    I have LON\JSmith in LON domain and DEL\JimSmith in DEL domain
    I would like to extract group memberships of LON\JSmith in LON domain and append matching by email (i.e. DEL\JimSmith) user object in every group in LON domain.
    for instance
    LON\JSmith and DEL\JimSmith is the same person and has same email address [email protected]
    LON\JSmith belongs to 3 groups - LON\localadmingroup;LON\univdesktop;LON\globalsurvey
    The outcome of the script should be

    Ok, I have an idea that I think would help a lot of people. Let us begin a thread that tries to explain, in detail, the sorting filters, in order of priority, that the iPod Classic uses to sort its lists of albums, songs, tv episodes, etc., once you have a list in front of you on the screen. This goes for Cover Flow mode, regular listing, etc.
    Here is what I propose. For example, let's start with songs. In iTunes, when you choose to edit the info on a particular song, you can choose which fields to populate. You may or may not enter the year, the track number, the composer, etc. On your iPod, then, if you click on an Album, the songs you see within that album will be listed by +track number, as they were assigned in iTunes+. Track number takes highest precedence in the hierarchy when it comes to sorting songs within an album.
    - But, if you go Main Menu->Music->Albums, how are all the albums sorted? Alphabetically by album title? Alphabetically by artist? Is there a way to sort them by year? Would you like the freedom to choose, if Apple provided it?
    - How are the compilations sorted into the mix?
    - How does applying an "album artist" affect the sorting, as opposed to just applying an "artist?"
    - How do songs that are "grouped" together with the same "Grouping" field affect sort lists on the iPod?
    - In Cover Flow mode, now with firmware upgrade 1.0.2, what is the sort criteria for albums in Cover Flow? Alphabetically by album title? Alphabetically by artist of the first track on the compilation? Alphabetically by "album artist?" What if no "album artist" has been attributed to a "compilation?"

  • How do I move a table with radio buttons to another page?

    I created a document in Word, converted to PDF, added a page (which was created in Adobe Forms Central, only way to get a table with radio buttons - see below for example).
    The issue I have is whilst using the Trial of Adobe XI Pro I was able to move this table up a page and place it under the header.  Now that the trial has run out I cannot complete this task with other documents.
    I started to edit using LiveCycle but it won't let me move the table.
    We have Acrobat X Pro but when I go to edit, it directs me to edit in LiveCycle.  I have tried moving the table using all of these programs.  Can anyone help/guide please? 

    Thank you for your reply.  I am new to editing a pdf and using these programs. I have subscribed to Acrobat XI Pro.  When I try to edit the document it directs me to LiveCycle.  I cannot move the table in LiveCycle.  It won't let me, and I cannot make changes in XI Pro as I did in the trial as it directs me to edit in LiveCycle.  Am going in circles.

  • Is there a way to move tab group from one window to another?

    I have several windows open, and some of them have multiple tab groups. Is there an easy way to move these tab groups between the windows?
    I saw the workaround of making bookmarks of all the tabs in one group, move to the target window and open the bookmarks there.
    To be honest I found this one a slow and messy way to do things and hope to find a better solution or raise this as a feature request.

    Patrick helped me find this add on [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tabgroups-manager/] where it groups tab groups into other groups, and there are bugs that have the [feature request] title in them.

    I have just received my shiny new MacBook and now I want to move my iPhoto library from my "old" Mac mini to the new computer; to make things slightly more complicated, I have, for historic reasons, all my photos external to the iPhoto library on a hard drive called "Mobile". In addition, in the new environment the photos shall reside on yet another external drive which will be called Mobile3 ...
    Any idea how I can achieve this ?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I think I know now you can do that.
    1 - copy the iPhoto Library folder intact into the MacBook's Pictures folder.
    2 - move the container folder for the "source" files to Mobile 3. Try to keep the path names as consistent as possible except for the HD name.
    3 - open the library on the MB and double click on a thumbnail. When the window comes us to find the source file do so.
    That should re-link all of the files in the library or at least in that roll. The worst case scenario would be do to that once for each roll. If you have the file path identical to the old HD except for the HD's name it should work.
    In the event you have to create a new library and start fresh (unlikely) or want to just make sure your source file as permanently associated with the keywords and comments you're assigned in iPhoto try Tutorial #1.

    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it.   • Sending to a shared contact group with subgroups fail

    Hello all,
    I am hoping someone can help me with this one, as I have researched non stop and cannot find an answer.
    SCENARIO:
    Outlook 2010 (with all the latest updates)
    Exchange 2010
    Windows 7 x64
    We are a group of 15 users. All 15 of us add a shared mailbox used for communications into our Outlook client so we can access and monitor the entire mailbox, including contacts.
    When trying to send a communication to a Contact group that is in the shared mailbox contacts, it will work fine unless there is another contact group within that group (subgroup).  The email will bounce back with the following error:
    [email protected] #550 5.4.4 ROUTING.NoConnectorForAddressType; unable to route for address type ##
    If you send to a contact group with a subgroup from your own local contacts, it works fine.
    If you send to a contact group without a subgroup, it works fine.
    If you log directly into the shared mailbox and send from there, it works fine.
    This issue appears ONLY to occur when sending to a contact group that has a subgroup within it from a shared contact list.
    Based on my investigation, it appears that Outlook is trying to look for the subgroups within the local contact list, not the location of the actual contact group itself. Perform the following steps:
    Add an additional (or shared) mailbox to your Outlook profile.
    In the shared mailbox contact list, create 2 contact groups. (Test 1 and Test 2).
    Add Test 2 into the Test 1 group. In Test 2 group, create/add a contact. (This may easiest be done by the shared mailbox itself)
    Ensure you are logged into your original profile, and Right click the Test 1 group and Create->Email.
    You will notice right away if you expand the Test 1 group, it will show up Test 2 (Unknown) and if you try and double click Test 2 to see it's properties, it says it cannot find it. If you perform this same step while logged into the shared mailbox directly,
    it is able to locate the contact.
    Any information I have found on this bounceback references a bug where a link in an email who try to send to a contact using MAILTO instead of SMTP. However, this is not the scenario I am in.
    It is currently not feasible to have everyone add all these contact groups into their own contact list, as these groups change all the time.
    If anyone has any ideas how this could be fixed, or have maybe other suggestions of how to use and access groups with subgroups for communications without logging into the shared mailbox, that would be great. We are unable to login to the shared mailbox
    directly anymore as we are doing away with shared passwords.

    How did you select the recipients when composing email? Did you click the To button and select it from the Address Book or use the auto-complete list? If you select from the auto-complete list, please try deleting the contact group from the auto-complete
    list and then test again.
    In addition, since the bounceback error is similar to the MAILTo bug, we may try to install the hotfix to take a chance.

    First, it's not possible. You cannot attach a primary site to an existing CAS.
    Primary sites in 2012 are *not* the same as primary sites in 2007 and a CAS is 2012 is completely different from a central primary site in 2007.
    CASes cannot manage clients. Also, primary sites are *not* used for delegation in 2012. As Torsten points out, multiple primary sites are used for scale-out (in terms of client count) only. Placing primary sites for different organizational units provides
    no functional differences but does add complexity, latency, and additional failure points.
    Thus, as the others have pointed out, your premise for doing this is completely incorrect. What are your actual business goals?
    As for the IP Addressing, that depends upon your networking infrastructure. There is no way to configure ConfigMgr to use different interfaces for different types of traffic. You could potentially manipulate the routing tables in Windows but that's asking
    for trouble IMO.

    Actually I have a movie clip which contains a Print Button and a uiloader.
    uiloader loads differnt external movies.
    I applied a code to Print button to print those movies.
    This code is working good but problem is, it print the both (main_movie & external_movie) with its actual colors not with the current applied colors.
    I want to print only External movie with its current color settings (applied by user) not actual default colors.
    So can any one tell me how can i do this?

  • Restructure Customer Account Groups and Number Ranges

    We already have existing customer account groups and number ranges and therefore customer accounts.
    We need now to restructure Customer Account Groups incl. number Ranges and Number Range Allocation.
    Is this possible? Any advice?
    Can a customer keep is old customer number and be assigned to the new customer account group, which has a different number range?
