What that means is the host that the mail was sent to has flagged the sending domain as Spam. The recipient would have to contact their provider to be removed from the spam list. That isn't a Muse issue so you would have to contact your hosting provider to have this fixed.

  • New Domain Names and Contact Form Issue

    Hello all,
    I'm working for a client who is using one of the newer domain name extensions. It reads like this: www.COMPANYNAME.farm
    The .farm is a new extension.
    On my contact form I use the e-mail address [email protected]
    The e-mails are never sent through. You can submit a form, it says it sends successfully, but the e-mail is never received.
    Any ideas if adobe muse has troubles with the new 'non-standard' domain extensions?
    Any other solutions?
    Thanks,
    Jonney

    Sounds like you are hosting on GoDaddy? If so, there are plenty of threads on here with the same problem.
    Generally what you need to do is create a dummy hotmail address and list it first. [email protected], [email protected] and that will likely fix your problem. Kind of a crazy work around but that is a GoDaddy issue (if in fact you are hosting with GoDaddy).

  • Contact Form Issues When Email Received.

    Using the standard detailed contact form widget by Adobe, I added a few extra input boxes, I then moved them around so that the 'message' box was at the bottom. When testing the contact form the input from the 'message' box was in the middle with the extra info below it. Obviously this will be unacceptable for clients to get this. so is there a way to fix this?
    An example if I have not explained it properly.
    What my website says:
    Name:
    Phone Number:
    Email:
    Website:
    Budget:
    Message:
    What the email i receive says:
    Name
    Phone Number:
    Email:
    Message:
    Website:
    Budget:
    Thanks in advance for any support!

    Notification would include the box fields in list as they were created , means website and budget field are created after message field so they would be down on the menu.
    Example : Fields created in Form
    Field 1
    Field 2
    Field 3
    - Rearranged the fields :
    Field 3
    Field 1
    Field 2
    Form notification will follow the default hierarchy :
    Field 1
    Field 2
    Field 3
    You would need to delete message field , create website and budget field and then create message filed if you want message filed to be included as last data field in notification email.
    Thanks,

  • Contact form issues

    In my contact form, if the user trys to send a message and
    has not completed all the fields, a short movie clip plays and says
    "Please complete form." And then, when the user clicks again in one
    of the input fields, the movie clip plays and image disappears.
    However, as it's working now, the movie doesn't stop where it
    should, and it plays and keeps going and the image disappears. The
    cursor for some reason is still in a text input box and I guess the
    movie plays on without stopping. If you'll press the send button
    the moment you open the contact form, you'll see what's supposed to
    happen. The movie clip plays and the image stays on the stage. And
    then, when the user clicks in any text input box, the movie clip
    plays and image disappears. It's after you place your cursor in a
    text box, the error movie clip fails to play correctly. Now here's
    the kicker. All of problems above are only present when I publish
    the movie with the Action Script 2.0 option selected. And when I
    published the movie with the Action Script 1.0 option selected, the
    error movie clip in the contact form works perfectly. I guess there
    must be something in the action script for that page that's not
    supported in 2.0. I need to save my site with Action Script 2.0
    selected because I have a lot of tool tip's that totally won't work
    when I publish with Action Sript 1.0 selected. I've included the
    site and the action script. Let me know if you see a conflict.
    Honestly, I haven't a clue. Thanks.
    Site is Here.

    Well you have 2 funcitons to go to and play your error_clip
    mc, so without seeing the flash file, who knows what's going
    on.

  • FormMail Contact Form Coding Issue

    Hi folks - this maybe quite a lengthly issue - however i
    think it is a simple mistake somewhere
    Basically I am having problem getting my submit contact form
    to work.
    I used the FormMail.pl script.
    www.kme-steelworks.co.uk is the website I am trying to apply
    the form.
    I am using 123 reg server to host the site.
    If you look at my homepage above . you will see the fields of
    the form at the bottom of the index/home page.
    I am seeing problems when I fill in the form.I have opted for
    cgi/FormMail format.
    Error arising when i click submit - 500 Internal Server Error
    This error tends to be a permission error on the root folder
    - I have adjusted the right however to 755 but internal server
    error still occurring.
    The submit form results should be going to
    [email protected] - but it isnt
    the FormMail.pl is stored on my local files in
    myweb/FormMail/FormMail.pl so I created a folder on your host
    server called FormMail and put my FormMail.pl file in here so it
    matched.
    Ok so here is my form code on my homepage
    <form id="form1" method="post"
    action="FormMail/FormMail.pl">
    <form action="/FormMail/FormMail.pl" method="post">
    <input type='hidden' name="recipient"
    value="[email protected]"/>
    <input type='hidden' name="subject" value="KME WEB
    CUSTOMER"/>
    <input type='hidden' name="required" value=""/>
    <input type='hidden' name="redirect"
    value="www.kme-steelworks.co.uk/thankyou.html">
    <label>Name:
    <input name="Name" type="text" id="Name" size="35" />
    </label>
    <label>Phone Number:
    <input name="Phone" type="text" id="Phone" maxlength="28"
    />
    </label>
    <p> </p>
    <p>
    <label>Comments (Optional):
    <textarea name="comments" id="comments" cols="45"
    rows="7"></textarea>
    </label>
    </p>
    <p>
    <label>
    <input type="submit" name="submit" id="submit"
    value="Submit" />
    </label>
    </p>
    <p> </p>
    </form>
    What should my pl code look like if my server domain is
    123reg.co.uk - my website form address is
    www.kme-steelworks.co.uk my thank you page (when submit form
    submits successfully is
    www.kme-steelworks.co.uk/thankyou.html and the email address
    I want the results forwarded to is '[email protected]'
    I realise this may look like a tough post but I just dont get
    why it is not posting?
    Should the script be named with a cgi extension as the server
    is not compatible with perl, and be placed in the cgi-bin folder?
    Any help is hugely appreciated

    I can't get to the support pages for that host without
    logging in, but
    you'll likely find your answers there.
    If they're set up like 123reg.com, then the odd thing to me
    is that
    they allow cgi within your public_html folder.
    Their path to Perl is shown as /usr/bin/perl, so if
    123reg.co.uk uses
    the same setup, you would set the first line shebang in your
    .pl file
    to look like this:
    #!/usr/bin/perl
    And, of course, set the cgi perl file permissions to 755.
    BUT...the answers will depend on how 123.co.uk has things set
    up. Log
    in to their site and check the support pages.
    > Should the script be named with a cgi extension as the
    server is
    > not compatible with perl, and be placed in the cgi-bin
    folder?
    If the server does not support Perl, no amount of file naming
    will make
    it work. However, looking at their hosting plans, it seems
    they all
    support Perl-CGI. The typical extension for Perl scripts is
    .pl

  • Muse Contact form reply issues

    Can anyone help with this issue.
    Thank you for contacting Adobe.
    A representative will be with you shortly.
    Thank you for your patience.
    While you wait, you can try our community forums where experts are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
    You are now chatting with Sonam.
    Vicky Quick: The contact form for Muse sites doesn't allow my clients to reply to the person who contacted them. It puts their address in the top requiring them to cut and paste the person requesting information. How can I change the reply to field in the contact form and is that even an option? If not do you offer a work around? I've put this question on the forum and no one has an answer. PLEASE HELP!
    Sonam: Hi, welcome to Adobe
    Sonam: Vicky, is your site hosted via BC, or a 3rd party hosting provider?
    Vicky Quick: I have one on BC and one on godaddy both do not work
    Vicky Quick: The contact form works, but the reply back doesn't
    Vicky Quick: hello?
    Sonam: Vicky, this feature is not available via Muse or BC. Kindly share the link to your forum post, I shall forward it to the product team and ask them to get back to you at the earliest.
    Sonam: If there is a work around, or if it is possible with any customization, the product team shall help you with it.
    Vicky Quick: I have put it on the forum as well as third party sites like muse-themes.com and they don't have answer either
    Sonam: Kindly share the link to your forum post
    Vicky Quick: How do I share the link?
    Sonam: Copy and paste to this chat

    As Anshul has suggested , this needs a Customer Case Management system , where your client can reply directly to submitters email.
    With BC this is possible enabling CST( Customer Service Ticketing ) , you can define role responsible as which users should receive the submission emails and then reply to customers directly from email client used.
    Level responses can be used such as First level with escalation level. Enabling this , form submission will create a case which will then get converted into a web case and will be triggered into role responsible mailboxes. Site users(your client) can directly reply to the customer from any email client used using this method.
    In case you are using external server , you can use any third party ticketing system and setup on the email to which notifications are received.
    Currently , with Muse when form is setup with email . Submitters form submission notification is received from that email and submitters email is included in subject line , which you can use manually to send email replies.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • Flash contact form key issue

    Hi my flash contact form will only accept certain keys, Like zxvywghjk.. and number keys will not type into it any ideas???
    motionstills.co.uk

    Forms in Flash use Input text objects. You have to embed the font or fonts that you want to use for those text objects. It sounds like either you embedded a font that doesn't contain a full set of glyphs or that a restricted set of glyphs was set in the Font Embed window.

    Greetings! I have below a contact form that i have creaed with some help but I can't seem to make it send the information to my email address after it is submitted. That is my most important issue right now.
    A secondary issue is, can I make it so once this form is submitted it send the info to my email without doing a page redirect?

  • Make the e-Mail field on the contact form widget optional.

    Hey there! While browsing the support forums I came upon this topic here, because I was having a similar issue.
    Before developing the suggestion, here you have the website with the form, as we currently have it: http://awake-gaming.com/join-us.html
    The form I inserted was not only a contact form, but also a joining form. When submitted, the website calls to Discourse's (the board software we use over at http://forums.awake-gaming.com/) API via an ajax code and so a Bot creates a thread with the information introduced in the forums.
    Simply put: Submit -> Code calls to API -> Bot creates thread using the input parameters on the form.
    So, what if we don't want the applicant to publish his e-mail? We didn't want the mail to be submitted at all, yet Muse didn't allow us to delete that field nor hide it. In our case "fixing" this hasn't been that much of a pain, as we simply deleted the event listener. But we know how to code. What about people who don't?
    Quoting the staff answer on the topic I originally refer to: "Email is the unique identifier and required to create a customer record in the CRM in Business catalyst." But there are people who don't use Catalyst at all. Or am I wrong? Is my site (awake-gaming.com) related to Catalyst at all? I understand it might be necessary for websites hosted on catalyst, but in cases like ours?
    That's why I'm requesting the e-mail field on the form to be optional.
    Hope you had a good read, and thank you for sticking until the end
    PS. Opinions about the AWAKE website design are greatly appreciated.

    This will be very helpful.

  • Switched email servers; same address, contact form no longer works

    I switched my web host's email from their internal email setup to a google business email of the same address.  The propagation took a little time, but now everything's working right.  Except my contact form on my website.  Now when I try to submit, I get "Server encountered an error" even though its the exact same email address as it was before, just through google's business email  service and not my web host's.  Whats going on and how to I fix this?  Is it an SMTP server issue under the hood?  I notice if I make another email account through my host and then direct the form to send email to that account, it works.  But switching it back to the google business email account I can't get it to work.

    Hi abstractls,
    You may be having the same problem as me. If the Airport Express is NOT connected to the internet, the Macs will still work, but the PC print routines say "you do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer" or just "An unknown error occurred during printing". If you reconnect the internet, the problem goes away.
    I suspect that the PC is not getting an IP address assigned to it by the Airport Express, and cannot cope without it, but the Mac is OK.
    My problem is that I do not want to connect the Airport Express to the net, I just want it to share a printer between Macs and PC. Does anyone know of a fix for that problem? I have told the Airport Express to ignore the lack of an internet connection, but that just switches off the amber light...

  • Third party contact form widgets no longer working with upgrade - PHP errors

    PHP seems to be even more screwed up with the latest update/upgrade to Muse.  The previous upgrade started producing the following error message when I uploaded my site via FTP:
    "1 Warning - Connection to PHP file failed. Unable to check if this web server supports PHP needed by Muse forms. Be sure the domain name entered in the FTP upload dialog is correct."
    However, everything worked and in participating in some queries here, it seemed to be an oddity versus anything serious (things still worked but an error message popped up for no real discernible reason)
    Since the latest update, however, widgets that I have from two different companies for the purpose of emailing me through the website, sending messages, etc, are no longer working and the following message is displayed upon hitting "submit"
    " Form PHP script is missing from web server, or PHP is not configured correctly on your web hosting provider. Check if the form PHP script has been uploaded correctly, then contact your hosting provider about PHP configuration."
    In checking with my web host provider, I was told
    "the page appears to use the script form-u31652.php which does exist on the
    server.
    Unfortunately that error is not specific enough to point us in the right
    direction. PHP is indeed working on the server. However, looking at the
    apache web server error logs I can see that the contact form appears to be
    looking for a file that does not exist.
    To trouble shoot this issue you will want to work with Muse to determine
    why the sites coding is looking for the file
    /usr/home/NAME/public_html/WEBSITE.com/null."
    Any ideas what this means and how to solve this would be great. I've tried re-uploading the entire website, figuring that maybe something wasn't being uploaded via "Modified Only" but it still is happening
    Thanks!

    That isn't what ended up fixing it, Sanjit. Thanks to this article PHP FAQ for Muse Synchronized Text and help from an online representative from Adobe, was able to troubleshoot with my web provider. Turns out the problem was that a while back Muse deleted the fcgi-bin directory (probably during the previous upgrade, as that is when the PHP errors started to surface with me and others). And it was never put back by Muse even during a clean/full reupload of the website.  Had to have my web provider do it manually.

  • Contact form Not working with Hotmail Accounts

    Hi, I have a problem with all the sites i have built with Muse. If the customer filling in any of the contact form on the websites uses a hotmail email account ( [email protected] )
    I get the following error message 'The server encountered a problem'
    Ive read that this could be a problem with my third party hosting company but they assure me that this is being caused by an error on the form
    Can anyone help with this please

    Ok so i have sorted the issue myself with NO THANKS to adobe
    Heres what everyone needs to do!
    Go to the following file public html - scripts - form process.php
    You then need to edit the following: ( line 103 )
    function get_email_headers($to_email, $form_email) {
      $headers = 'From: ' . $to_email . PHP_EOL;
      $headers .= 'Reply-To: ' . $form_email . PHP_EOL;
      $headers .= 'X-Mailer: Adobe Muse CC 2014.2.0.284 with PHP' . PHP_EOL;
      $headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8' . PHP_EOL;
      return $headers;
    This needs changing to the following:
    function get_email_headers($to_email, $form_email) {
    $headers = 'From: ' . $to_email . PHP_EOL;
    $headers .= 'Reply-To: ' . $form_email . PHP_EOL;
    $headers .= 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . PHP_EOL;
    $headers .= 'X-Mailer: Adobe Muse CC 2014.2.0.284 with PHP' . PHP_EOL;
    $headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8' . PHP_EOL;
    return $headers;
    The form will now work with hotmail, Gmail etc etc
    Hope this helps anyone having the same problem

  • My Client is having a serious problem with the Contact Form Widget

    My Client is having a serious problem with the Contact Form Widget that I can not figure out how to correct.
    I created a website for a client and inserted a Contact Form widget on their 'Contact Us' page. Whenever anyone uses the form, the e-mail my client receive shows my e-mail address as the sender. So, when they 'reply' to the e-mail, the reply is sent to me and not the person who sent the original message. This creates a major problem in that I get barraged with e-mail replies while my client's potential customers go without a response.
    When I look at  'Site Manager > System E-Mails > Workflow Information > E-mail From Address' on the site's Admin Console, it shows my e-mail information. Is this is what needs to be changed?  If it is, what needs to be placed in that field so that the e-mail my client receives shows the senders e-mail information in the 'From' field.  My client wants to be able to click reply and have the message sent to the right party. They would be very upset if they have to cut and past the senders e-mail address from the body text on every contact they receive.
    Their feeling is that if I can't find a way to make the contact form work the way it should, then it's useless to them.
    Can anyone help me figure this out? I really don't want to disappoint my first client.

    Are you on a plan that has the CRM feature that stores your customers' data? If so, the idea of the contact form is that you'll receive a notification that there's been an inquiry filled out on your contact form and there should be a link in that email notification that leads to the "Case" that was created when that customer filled out a contact form.  You can click that link and visit the case for that customer in your BC site and reply to them from there so that all of the correspondence is logged in the CRM for safe-keeping and for your records.
    If your client finds this is too much work to login to BC to reply every time, then you should check to see if you have the "Customer Service Ticketing" feature on your hosting plan.  This is a feature where you create a dedicated email account (like [email protected]) and the BC system will automatically login to that email account and pull any emails in that inbox and convert them to a customer case for the sender of the email and then it will send out a notification via email to any of the BC Admin users you delegate as "Customer Service Agents".  Since the CST integrates with the BC CRM it lets you reply directly within the email-- but when you reply it will be going to that same email address dedicated to the CST but once the CST service checks your email again and sees that you replied to this inquiry it will log your reply against the customer's case and sends your reply via email back to them so that all the correspondance gets logged on BC's CRM but you can still reply via email.
    There's no way to use the default web forms to update the "From" or "Reply-To" address.. it must come from an approved email address to avoid spam issues.  On most web services you cannot change the "from" address anyway but usually you can at least specify the "Reply-To" address so that when someone hits "reply" in their email client it will reply to whoever you setup as the "Reply-To" address.
    Here's some more information about CST: http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/kb/customer-service-ticketing.html?bc-partner
    I don't think the CST feature is in the webMarketing BC plan-- I think it's only in the webCommerce plan so if you have less than an webCommerce plan you have to tell your client to reply through BC by clicking the link in the notification they get.  You can justify it by saying its one or two more steps but it keeps the entire convo on record in their CRM for easy referral later.

  • Contact form functionality

    Hello there,
    Ok so here's my problem. I have almost completed my website with all the buttons and MC's communicating nicely with their respective frames. I am on my final frame being the "Contact Form" frame. I searched the web to find a tutorial in finding as3 contact form.
    Link: http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/flash/as3contactform
    It was easy to follow and helpful. I created a php file called "mail.php" and an .fla file called "contactmovie.fla".
    I followed the steps and finally put in the required as3 in the contactmovie.fla. I tested contactmovie.fla in a browser effectively creating an swf file in the same name. In the browser, I typed into the text fields and pressed submit which returned a "Message Sent" response. All appears well.
    BUT...
    When I want to incorporate this into a website that I am creating in flash under a different file name I have issues.
    1. I am not sure whether I need to import the contactmovie.swf file into the website .fla file which I called allrounda.fla (also, when I do this no text appears); or,
    2. I can simply copy the frames in the contactmovie.fla file and paste the frames into the allrounda.fla file.
    Eitherway, doesn't seem to work. In point 2,  the text is displayed but when I type the details in the text field, no "Message Sent" is displayed.
    This indicates to me that the script is not communicating with the text fields which has the instance names of name_txt, email_txt and message_txt. The instance names do correspond to the script. The contact form created is not on frame 1 but frame 5. There is an MC that behaves like a button that takes you to frame 5 where the contact form is on.
    It is probably a small issue with an as3 guru.
    AS3 SCRIPT
    //CONTACT FORM //
    submit_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, sendMessage);
    function sendMessage(e:MouseEvent):void{
    var my_vars:URLVariables = new URLVariables();
    my_vars.senderName = name_txt.text;
    my_vars.senderEmail = email_txt.text;
    my_vars.senderMsg = message_txt.text;
    var my_url:URLRequest = new URLRequest("allrounda.php");
    my_url.method = URLRequestMethod.POST;
    my_url.data = my_vars;
    var my_loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    my_loader.dataFormat = URLLoaderDataFormat.VARIABLES;
    my_loader.load(my_url);
    name_txt.text = "";
    email_txt.text = "";
    message_txt.text = "Message Sent";
    PHP SCRIPT
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <?php
    $to = "[email protected]";
    $subject = ($_POST['senderName']);
    $message = ($_POST['senderMsg']);
    $message .= "\n\n---------------------------\n";
    $message .= "E-mail Sent From: " . $_POST['senderName'] . " <" . $_POST['senderEmail'] . ">\n";
    $headers = "From: " . $_POST['senderName'] . " <" . $_POST['senderEmail'] . ">\n";
    if(@mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers))
    echo "answer=ok";
    else
    echo "answer=error";
    ?>
    </body>
    </html>
    Or is it the case that this will all work when I have uploaded both .fla and .php file to the server?
    I know it is a lot to ask but it would be appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Dean D

    if you're testing locally, you probably have a security sandbox issue.  fix it here:

    otherwise, you don't have username and password defined on the timeline that contains your button and/or your button is a movieclip button
