Conversion of Date format(0bill_date) to no of days format

We have a report "customer payment analysis report" with following fields
Customer No , Customer Name , Customer Group , Payment Term , Actual Paid Days, Difference
In the cube we are having 0bill_date(actual paid date) ,but want to convert this 0bill_date(in date format) to Actual paid days( no of days format).
How to get that?

Hi,
Count the number of paid dates. It will give you the number of actual paid days

Date not being displayed in the custom format

Hi ,
I have a problem wherein i am unable to change the format of the date.
I need the date to be in the format 'January 10,2010.' however the date is being displayed as '1/10/10'. I have tried all options for the date formatting. I specified the custom format as 'MMMM D,YYYY' as mentioned in the SAP Library. I am trying to use the std custom options like YYYY-MM-DD, the date is not being dispalyed in the custom format provided by SAP either.
I have binded date from the context, used the Current Date field provided by SAP. Nothing works.
Its not working on the new form. However the old forms have the same kind of formatting and are being displayed as desired.
Please suggest as to what the issue could be.

Even I'm encountering the same issue. I'm trying to control the outputted date format programmatically.Please have a look.
data: v_int_date like sy-datum,
v_ext_date(10).
v_int_date = '20110201'
write v_int_date to v_ext_date MM/DD/YYYY.
Here I've tried to convert the date to external format using a fixed format(MM/DD/YYYY). But still it's getting outputted in the format DD/MM/YYYY only as that's the way its defined in the User Master!
Is there any solution for this? How can I 'override' defaults in the SAP User Master?

Open conversions in data dictionary

Dear experts,
We have been trying to install an ST-PI package in an SAP system.However,it gives a warning saying "Open conversions in data dictionary". It says - Some open conversion requests still exists for the following ABAP data dictionary objects.To avoid inconsistencies and data losses you must process these conversions first.
Further it asks us to run the transaction SE14 which points towards the table GLPCA and says Index Z1 does not exist.
What can be the cause behind this?I do not have an ABAP background.So,hoping if you could help me out.

Whats your destination?
If its SQLServer then I would say ita a bad idea to change the datatype for formatting. By default dates are stored as numerical data internally within SQLServer and would be displayed in YYYY-MM-DD format in SSMS. What you need to do is to store it as dates
and then wherever you want to display change the format in the way you want using formatting functions. If you dont have proper front end you can use CAST,CONVERT or FORMAT (SQL 2012) to get it in the format you want

Getting a odd error. This code was working perfectly before a SQLServer upgrade.
The linked database is working, I'm able to pull up data from it in separate queries just fine.
I'm getting the following error.
Implicit conversion from data type sql_variant to datetime is not allowed. Use the CONVERT function to run this query.
Invalid column name 'TotalDay'. (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)
can anyone spot the issue? I've tried sever variations of the same code, but still get the same thing.
If I put this section in a query by it self it works just fine.

It is not a good idea to use string dates for predicates in WHERE clauses.
Use DATETIME or DATE in predicates.
If you are not interested in the time part of DATETIME, use DATE datatype.
Example:

Date to show in MM/DD/YYYY format

Hi all,
I am stumped on this simple thing under BIP.How can I get the date to show in MM/DD/YYYY format under BIP ?
Template is created under word, for the field under formatting, type: date, format:M/d/yyyy ( can't find MM/DD/YYYY). But when I browse the document, it always show as "DD-MON-YYYY" format.
How to mitigate this ?

hey small mistake in my solution code,just change the format to dd/MM/yyyy (case sensitive code)then it will work
to-char() is used to convert the Date or Number format type to displayable string format.
In our case also it is coverting xml_date_filed into a string to the format of dd/MM/yyyy
so you can try with this formula
in Advanced tab write
*<?xdofx:to_char(MY_DATE_FIELD,'dd/MM/yyyy')?>*
or in properties tab ,under formatting section ,select type as DATE and write the format as dd/MM/yyyy

type:Application error,doing:writeEmpUpdate,dbcode:-1801,ssn:xxxxxxxxxx". The dbcode of 1801 is a "Date format is too large for internal format". Has anyone had this happen, or know what the solution might be?

Yes I just discovered that this morning but I have purchased another external harddrive and formatted it for both and am in the process of transferring the files across it and then I will erase the old harddrive and reformat it so I can use it.
I have learnt to format harddrives from this experience but am happy to see the back of parallells.

Duration as a timestamp? How odd, most people would store it
as an integer. Or, if you want to build your own string, the syntax
is {ts 'yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss'}. The seconds might not be required.
In any event, use createodbcdatetime() for the value you want
to put into your table.

click and hold on one cell, then drag to select the range, then release, then type the delete key. Only inlude cells in the range you do not want to keey the contents of the cell. You can remove one-off cells by holding the command key and clicking cells to add or remove as needed.
