CONVERTING images sequence into a video clip

Hello,
I got a TIFF sequence I exported to modify stuff image per image in Photoshop and now I'd like to convert it back to it's original video format.
How do I proceed?
Right now I was putting image on asequence settting all of them as 1 frame and placing them one after the other; this get very tedious when there'S alot of frames.
I'm sure another way of doing this exist which I'm not aware of , please instruct me.
Thank you.

Save and close. Open a new after effects project file, go to "After Effects" > "Preferences" > "Import" There you can say whether your sequence footage should be imported at 24 fps 30 fps 23.976 fps or whatever. After you have done that double-click in the project folder to import your footage.
Click on the first frame. An option will come up saying something like "This looks like an image sequence, would you like to import it as one?" Check "Yes" and "Import" you now have the image sequence as one item in your project directory.
Dump it into your timeline and AE will automatically create a comp to match the settings of the footage. Export the comp.

  • FCutExpress HD 3.5, HOw do I Treat an Image Sequence as a Video clip?

And edit it as if it was a video clip
My images are an animation i exported from a 3d program, but i exported as IMage sequence using PNG format.
I know how to import into Final cut,, but I'm not sure how to edit them as a BLOCK, and drag them to the viewer so i can workr with them as if it was a video clip.( I tried selecting them all in the timeline and dragging to the viewer and it seemed to work but in the viewer it was only one image(one frame ) )
Then also how would i add video transitions and effects as if the image sequence was actually a video clip?

    Hi -
You can use Quicktime Pro to make the clip, if your images are sequentially numbered. Open Quicktime, choose File>Open Image Sequence, and select the first frame of your images. Quicktime will ask what your frame rate you want and then create the movie.
Once it is done, go File>Export and choose Movie to Quicktime Movie. Then select Options, and select the codec etc, that you want to edit with (DV, HDV, Animation, etc.) and then export the file and save the exported file.
Import that file into FCE and you should be ready to go, it will behave like any other movie clip.
    Hope this helps.

  • Converting image sequence

    Dear Sirs,
when I convert image sequence into a ProRes 4444 + Alpha using Compressor i noticed a difference in brightness with the original content.
This happens every time i elaborate in After Effect a special effect.
The images in output from AF are identical to the original, after the conversion there is this difference.
I tried to create a custom ProRes 4444 + Alpha setting changing to "none" the gamma conversion into the Quick Time settings panel, nothing changes.
Can you help me to find the right solution?
    thank you
    Aldo

Thanks, Nick, that already doubles or more my knowledge.
As far as final form, could be one of many. Leading candidates are QuickTime (.mov), MPEG (.mp4) or iPhone (.m4v). (Is iPhone format just a special case of MPEG-4?)
I'm generating the frames as .png files using Perl's GD library. They are very compact and in fact the primitive QuickTime movies I make from them, with all media included in the file, are still very small. (E.g. a 600-frame movie is half a meg.) Converting each frame to JPG actually increases the size dramatically (could spend more time tweaking the JPG conversion).
At first I thought .png would be good because I could play them easily in an iPhone app. But then I started thinking perhaps it would be better to turn them into a movie and then tell the iPhone app "play movie" rather than handle all the timing of rendering each frame myself. And synchronization of audio... a big can o' worms to roll your own.
I have had the experience twice of upgrading QuickTime to QuickTime Pro only to see the Pro-ness vanish in the next QT upgrade. @#$%! But you may be right that QT Pro would suffice.

  • Converting a nested sequence into a single clip

    Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to convert a nested sequence into a single clip?
I have captured several forty minute mini-dv tapes and there were a lot of timecode breaks, my user preferences made FCP generate a new clip every time the timecode changed.
I like to make subclips from a single master clip when I edit so I added all the broken clips into a sequence and nested them which has created a single clip within a sequence, but it has labeled the footage as a 'sequence' in the browser as opposed to a 'clip'.
I think I need to strip the footage of its timecode but to not want to have to print to a blank mini-dv cassette and then re-import, if anyone knows of a solution to this problem it would be a great help.
    Many thanks.

File - Export - QT Movie... Current Settings... don't make it self contained and DON'T trash your original captures either!!

  • Can you turn the photos in a slideshow into a video clip?

I have a sequence of 80 or so photos that play very fast and create an animation.
Can I select all the photos and merge them together into a video clip so I can apply video effects and do a fade in for more than 2 frames?

Colin, will doing the method you described allow me to apply video effects to the photos as a whole group?
That's correct. The nested sequence essentially functions as one clip, so you can edit it, transform it, add effects or transitions, or do any other operation that you'd do on a single clip unit. For example, if you need to move your series of photos somewhere else in your sequence, you'd have to select all of them; if they're nested, you just have to click one big target to move them.
I think Craig (shooternz) misunderstood your question, and assumed you just wanted to fade up the first photo, but you're talking about fading up over a longer duration, and multiple images. He had the right answer to a different question

  • Rendering an image sequence with a video

I have a video from a camera mounted on a truck that I'm trying to put a sequence of key map images in the top right corner that track where the truck is, like a bird’s eye view. The video is 29.97fps and 03:39:24 long, my key map sequence of still images is 1fps and of course much faster. I've imported my key map images into a 29.97fps sequence and changed its duration to match the video's 03:39:25 length. When I render it separately, its fine but I can't get them to come out rendered decently together.
I've tried joining them 2 ways:
    1) I've pulled the rendered key map into the video's sequence and rendered. Video comes out perfect, key map comes out really blurry from being rendered multiple times but it isn't jumpy.
    2) I've pulled in the key map's Premiere composition sequence into the video's sequence and rendered. Video comes out perfect again and the key map comes out crisp and clear but with jumpy line slashes pulsing through it.
*Image is pre-render and render of #2 - Pulling the key map's Premiere composition sequence into the video's sequence and rendered. Video comes out perfect and the key map comes out crisp but with bad jumpy line slashes pulsing through it. which you see in the overlay of the outcomed rendered.
*Both video and key map are being rendered with lower field progressive scanning. Which seems like its the problem (because of the jumpy line slashes) but only when they are together. Separately they are fine.
I'm still learning the rules of video so please feel free to point out what I'm doing wrong or if you need any more information to go on.

Thanks Jim for your suggestion but I would be going from 219 images to thousands of images and the animation of the key map doesn't need to be so detailed.
    My Solution:
Since my key map rendered out fine by itself, I re-did my #1 trial from above but this time exporting it as an uncompressed AVI. The results once placed over the main clip aren't perfect, its still a little blurry from rendering twice and still getting interpolation lines  but its much better then before/acceptable for its use.
Thank you again Jim for your response I did some searching around on Interpolation and am just a little bit more aware then I was before

  • How do I display the complete time sequence for a video clip in iMovie?

How do I display the time complete time sequence for a video clip in iMovie?
I'm trying to create a movie for someone where they provided me the video clips and what time sequences they want extracted.  For example:  Video footage from time 5m22s to 9m:18s and 11m17s to 15m31s from the imported video clip.  I know you can select video but I cannot figure out how to select from those requested time markers.

  • How to combine video clips into one video clip using FCPX

I typed this into the search engine but could not come up with anything. How do you combine Video clips into one Video clip using FCPX? Thanks in advance.
    Gar

The simple answer is to put the clips together in a project in the desired order and export (oops, the new word is share [YUK!]) a master file.
But maybe you should say a little more about the clips to determine whether the answer I've given is relevant to yor situation.

  • Importing Image Sequences into FCP

Hi, My animator sent some instructions for trying to import an Image Sequence into FCP. It said to change the Still Freeze Frame Duration to 1 frame per second, then import the folder and drag the folder to V2 or higher. I've done this and got the error message 'insufficient content for edit' and got it again when I dragged the first file from the folder onto the V2 in the timeline.
Any suggestions as to why the error message is coming up. Does the Still Freeze Frame duration have to be changed?
Thanks SO much for your help.

Ok, now I'm curious because I've done a bit of animation files in FCP before.
What kind of files are they? .tga?
Can you drag just one into the Browser from the Finder, then drag that into the timeline? What happens?
How are you putting the images into the timeline? Dragging the folder? Have you tried a new sequence to test it?
I've had issues with FCP not recognizing them before because they were in some weirdo quasi-.tga format before but I haven't seen that error associated with this before.
Oh, do you have your tracks targeting buttons set correctly as well as the toggle auto-select indicators?

  • Can anyone help me figure why there is a popping sound when I move from an iphoto still image to a new video clip?  The sound has been removed from the video clips and there is another soundtrack underneath it all.  Help?

My current project is like many I have created in the past.  I have removed the sound from my video clips and laid another soundtrack under the entire project.  Now, when I add an iphoto still image to the project, when it goes back into video there is a popping sound.  I've never had this happen in the past and have made many projects in the past just like this one.  Any way to troubleshoot this issue?  Thanks so much for your help.

  • Combine 4 angle shots into 1 video clip

First of all, I am very much a novice in video editing and have yet to try Final Cut Pro X.
I am working on a video project which will film a single subject from 4 different angles:  front, back, left and right.
I would like to create a video clip which shows all 4 angle shots playing at the same time.  Basically the video has 4 quadrants with each quadrant playing one of the angles.
Is this possible to do in Final Cut Pro X?  Can anyone provide references or pointers on how this can be done?
    Thank you.

That's also known as 'Brady Bunch Effect', named after a TV-show's intro, showing 9 people in 9 'frames':
    • get familiar with the crop and transform tools of FCPX:
    http://help.apple.com/finalcutpro/mac/10.0.6/?lang=en-us#verfc8a4713
    • in your case, stack (=not in a row, but over each other) the 4 clips into the timeline
    • resize and replace each clip to any position
Suggestion: aside plain 'grab'n drag', the Info board allows numerical input - which gives each 'frame' its precise same size and position…

  • Converting an image sequence to a Movie Clip - Flash CC

    Hi Everyone,
Hopefully I am just doing this wrong.
I have a sequence of images I want to convert to a movie clip symbol.
    This is what I'm doing:
I select all the frames in the timeline and hit f8 & choose movie clip as the symbol type.
When I drop the newly created symbol back on the stage it only contains the very last frame
    of the animation.
    Is this just not possible?

You can do this.  Here are the steps:
    1.  Select desired frames
    2.  Copy frames
    3.  Create movie clip symbol
    4.  Paste frames into movie clip symbol
If this is something you do frequently, there are extensions that streamline this process.
Edit:  Here's a link to the extension "New Anim Clip".  It's about a third the way down the page.

  • How to Import Multiple Image Sequences into - Premiere 'Pro'

    Hi ;-)
    1) I added a bug report about this 4 years ago  -- Is this STILL not possible ;-))))
I have 200 Sequences sitting each in its own folder. As of now - then year of the Lord 2014, I have to physically select each folder and add them one by one...
    This is almost funny...
Perhaps I am missing the extreme obvious --- Either that or Premiere Pro is.
    Any Help is greatly appreciate
    Thanks

Jim, when selecting the blackmagic2 level, the only available option is File Directory:
This doesn't happen with RED files, where you can choose between File Directory and RED from the first level. Unlike blackmagic's DNG clips, RED files can be imported all at once, so maybe that's the whole problem:
And yes, Source Settings are available for RED files, whereas they are not for DNG (only basic information, not raw manipulation):
