Converting T1 controller to E1 controller (as5300)

Hi
Here i have an as5300 with T1 controller my question is : Is there a way to logicaly or with some configuration change T1 controller to acts like a E1 controller.
also i know that T1 has 24 timeslots and E1 has 30 Timeslots but its not important for me if T1 works like E1.
if it could happen ,please tell me how.
Thanks.
Regards Bahman Mozaffari.

Hi,
I don't believe the AS5300 supports any T1/E1 cards - which means that there is no way you can convert a T1 controller to an E1 controller.
I'm afraid you'll have to purchase an E1 module for what you want.
Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

  • Custom device / I am trying to use a vehicle controller model developed in LabVIEW with compactRIO (cRIO-9024)

Now I have developed a vehile controller model with LabVIEW so as to run on VxWorks operating system. ( compactRIO cRIO-9024)
And I converted a controller model of labview into *.lvmodel in order to use it as I did with simulink models.
However, converted *.lvmodel was not supported for VxWorks operating system. so after searching for this, I found out that I have to use a custom device.
I am now studying the custom device, but it looks diffcult because I dont have much experience in real-time system.
    Here are my questions.
    1. Simulation model in VeriStand
Should I convert a labview controller model into *.lvmodel even if I use the custom device in order to run on VxWorks operating system?
If not, what should I do after building a controller model with labview?
    2. Operating system
It is silly question. anyway, as long as I run a controller model on compactRIO cRIO-9024, the operating system always has to be set to VxWorks. Is it right?
    3. Custom device
This is the most difficult thing. I dont know even what to do. What functions should be inside a custom device template tool? The controller model send output signals to a vehicle model, and receive input signals from a vehicle model.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Can AIR-AP521G-x-K9 be controlled by the Cisco 526 Mobility controller ?

I am going to buy a AIR-AP521G-x-K9 with IOS software which is a stand alone access point.
However, later on I may buy a Cisco 526 Wireless Express Mobility controller in order to expand my wireless network.
As I know at that moment I need to buy light weight AIR-LAP521G-x-K9 instead of AIR-AP521G-x-K9
However I want to know if the stand alone AIR-AP521G-x-K9 can be control by the mobility controller without doing any change to the AIR-AP521G-x-K9 ?
    Thanks

    Hi Pak,
    The AIR-AP521G can be converted to Controller based mode via software upgrade so your investment is protected should you decide down the road to switch to Controller based. Have a look***;
    Q. Which access point products are included in the Cisco Mobility Express Solution?
    A. Two Cisco 500 Series Wireless Express Access Point products are in the Cisco Mobility Express Solution; their part numbers follow:
    AIR-AP521G-x-K9 (standalone access point)
    AIR-LAP521G-x-K9 (controller-based access point)
The hardware for these products is the same. The products have different software,*** but the access points can be converted from standalone mode to the controller-based mode with a simple software upgrade.
Up to three access points can be managed by Cisco Configuration Assistant. More than three access points in the network requires the controller as well.
    From this good Q & A doc;
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps7319/products_qanda_item0900aecd8060c860.shtml
    Hope this helps!

  • Initial AP registration on a 8510 WLC HA-SKU and N+1 deployment

    Hi,
We have several 8510 controllers and one of them needs to be configured as HA SKU for N+1 deployment. I am testing the scenario with two controllers right now, so I have the primary and the secondary controller configured as part of the same Mobility Group and they appear UP. Please, see the rest of the configuration below.
When I power off the Primary controller, the APs don’t register to the HA SKU controller (secondary). These two controllers are in different parts of the network but they are members of the same mobility group.
Do I need to specify the HA SKU controller in the DHCP scope for the APs? I am not sure what I am missing....
    Do you have any suggestions?
    Thank you.

    Controller--> General:

    Hi Scott,
Yes, it is N+1 HA with HA-SKU what I need to implement.
“6000 Access Points Supported” is shown in the main GUI page.
I followed the guide you mentioned to do this configuration:
1 - From the primary controller, configure the backup controller on the primary to point to the secondary controller:
(Cisco Controller) >config advanced backup-controller primary Secondary 10.9.51.252
    (Cisco Controller) >show advanced backup-controller
AP primary Backup Controller .................... Secondary 10.9.51.252
AP secondary Backup Controller ..................  0.0.0.0
2 - On the permanent AP count WLC, use the config redundancy unit secondary command to convert the controller into an HA-SKU secondary controller:
(Cisco Controller) >config redundancy unit secondary
    (Cisco Controller) >
3- On the CLI, use the show redundancy summary command to view the status of the primary and secondary controllers:
    Primary:
    (Cisco Controller) >show redundancy summary
     Redundancy Mode = SSO DISABLED
         Local State = ACTIVE
          Peer State = N/A
                Unit = Primary
             Unit ID = F8:72:EA:66:B8:A0

    Secondary:
    (Cisco Controller) >show redundancy summary
     Redundancy Mode = SSO DISABLED
         Local State = ACTIVE
          Peer State = N/A
Unit = Secondary - HA SKU
             Unit ID = F8:72:EA:66:E4:40

    Redundancy Port IP Address....................... 0.0.0.0
Peer Redundancy Port IP Address.................. 169.254.0.0
As far as I can tell I have completed all the steps. In my configuration, “Redundancy Management IP Address” and “Peer Redundancy Management IP Address” are 0.0.0.0; these are the only differences I can find with the configuration in the Guide.

  • Channel assignment

    Hi,
Can you help me to resolve this issue?
1.I have sites A (Singapore) and B (India)
2.At site A (Singapore) there is a Cisco router with VWIC-2MFT-T1 is connected to PBX T1 port.(120 users are sitting with a hand set)
3.This router is also connected to IPLC by means of T1.
4.At site B (India) there is a Cisco router 1841 with VWIC-2MFT-E1 and is connected to PBX E1 port.
5.This site B router is connected to the IPLC cloud by means of LL 2Mbps.
6.My problem is whenever the dialer at Site A (Singapore) use the 16th channel and generate the voice call to India over the IPLC cloud, Can the India router recognize the voice call in the same 16 channel? If so how to do it? Should I have to use the CoS to achieve this?
    Best Regards,

    T1 and E1 Controllers
Cisco controllers negotiate the following parameters between an access server and a central office: line coding, framing, clocking, DS0/time slot provisioning, and signalling.
Time slots are provisioned to meet the needs of particular network scenarios. T1 controllers have
24 time slots, and E1 controllers have 30 time slots. To support traffic flow for one ISDN PRI line in a T1 configuration, use the pri-group command. To support traffic flow for analog calls over a channelized E1 line with recEive and transMit (E&M -- also ear and mouth) signalling, use the cas-group 1 timeslots 1-30 type e&m-fgb command. Most telephone companies do not support provisioning one trunk for different combinations of time slot services, though this provisioning is supported on Cisco controllers. On a T1 controller for example, time slots 1 to 10 could run PRI, time slots 11 to 20 could run channel-associated signalling (CAS), and time slots 21 to 24 could support leased-line grouping.
The following example configures one of four T1 controllers on a Cisco AS5300 access server:
    as5300# configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
    as5300(config)# controller t1 ?
    <0-3> Controller unit number
    as5300(config)# controller t1 0
    as5300(config-controller)# framing esf
    as5300(config-controller)# linecode b8zs
    as5300(config-controller)# clock source line primary
    as5300(config-controller)# pri-group timeslots 1-24
    as5300(config-controller)#
This example supports modem calls and circuit-switched digital calls over ISDN PRI.
    Non-ISDN Channelized T1 and Channelized E1 Lines
A channelized T1 or channelized E1 line is an analog line that was originally intended to support analog voice calls, but has evolved to support analog data calls. ISDN is not sent across channelized T1 or E1 lines. Channelized T1 and channelized E1 lines are often referred to as CT1 and CE1. These channelized lines are found in "old world," non-ISDN telephone networks.
The difference between traditional channelized lines (analog) and nonchannelized lines (ISDN) is that channelized lines have no built-in D channel. That is, all 24 channels on a T1 line only carry data. The signalling is in-band or associated to the data channels. Traditional channelized lines do not support digitized data calls (for example, BRI with 2B + D). Channelized lines support a variety of in-band signal types, such as ground start, loop start, wink start, immediate start, E&M, and R2.
Signalling for channelized lines is configured with the cas-group controller configuration command. The following example configures E&M group B signalling on a T1 controller:
    as5300# configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
    as5300(config)# controller t1 0
    as5300(config-controller)# cas-group 1 timeslots 1-24 type ?
    e&m-fgb E & M Type II FGB
    e&m-fgd E & M Type II FGD
    e&m-immediate-start E & M Immediate Start
    fxs-ground-start FXS Ground Start
    fxs-loop-start FXS Loop Start
    r1-modified R1 Modified
    sas-ground-start SAS Ground Start
    sas-loop-start SAS Loop Start
    as5300(config-controller)# cas-group 1 timeslots 1-24 type e&m-fgb
    as5300(config-controller)# framing esf
    as5300(config-controller)# clock source line primary

  • Working with midi data and automation data, assigning parameters

I have a midi file with CC data in it. Controller 7 (volume) Controller 1 (mod) On page 600 the manual explains converting midi controller data to automation and vice-versa. I don't see any info on how to manage what CC data is mapped to what automation though. When I convert this midi file, I just get volume automation. Volume automation is just automatically there when you display automation, so I'm guessing that might have something to do with it. The problem is, I have CC1 data (and will be bringing in midi files that have data on many other CC#'s in the future) and I don't see how to map it to the parameters of plug-ins. I'd like to bring in midi files with information on any CC# I wanted, and then map that to any parameter of any plug-in I wanted. I couldn't figure out how to do this with the automation conversion process though.
This issue led me to another question (sorry). Since I wasn't getting this to work I decided to try something else. I thought I'd try opening the controller assignments (command K) window and just assigning the CC data to control parameters that way. So I use my midi hardware controller to set a parameter to be controlled by CC#1. This works fine, and I can control the parameter with my midi controller. When I press play however, hoping that the CC#1 data in the midi file I imported will control this parameter, it doesn't seem to do it.
If someone to help me I would appreciate it very much, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm just missing something in one of the manuals, but I have not worked this way with Logic very much, I've just always used it's automation system and haven't ventured into dealing with CC data. Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to explain clearly (hope I have)

    Balie Todd wrote:

First you cross too many questions, that's why I will try to answer one by one when have time cause they need some graphics etc.
As a beginnings have a look at this forum [LINK|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10612612&#10612612], where I show several scenarios how to manage CC7 and CC10 in the environment. It is real time processing. You can do some post processing using the Transform Window as well. Hope to have time to show you some Transform Mappers.
In addition it is possible to Map any CC# to any Plugin parameter in the Environment using transformer Mapper object ( realtime ), or using the Transform Window as well. ( If I have time later this evening will make same examples...
So I use my midi hardware controller to set a parameter to be controlled by CC#1. This works fine, and I can control the parameter with my midi controller. When I press play however, hoping that the CC#1 data in the midi file I imported will control this parameter, it doesn't seem to do it.
This is possible as well but using some Environment tricks with IAC port, a dummy "Learn" fader and probably condition transformer ( I have show many times such schemes but do not have time to search right now - hope to have time to make new one according your scenario ).
Will come back soon with more info and schemes...

  • HA WLC Pair

We purchased a pair of  WLCs with a layer 2 link between the 2. As it has turned out this link won't be
available anytime soon. The problem we have is the primary site has the HA WLC installed with no
intrinsic AP = 0 support, and the WLC with the 500 licenses is in the secondary. Is there any magic
that can be worked to swap the license over remotely so we don't have to physically swap the hardware
    over ?
    AIR-CT5508-500-K9
    AIR-CT5508-HA-K9

No, in fact I'm about to do a blog post on this subject ..
Here is a recent TAC case I opened ..
    Regarding your questions:
Problem Details: I have a question specific to the 5508 and WISM HA SKU part number.
AIR-CT5508-HA-K9  - If purchased can it be converted back to a licensable WLC. In other words, can i make this a regular WLC.
Can I convert an HA SKU to a primary by adding licenses?
No. This migration is not supported. The exception is if someone converted a controller with licenses to HA in the first place and now intends to revert back. The WLC retain the licenses.
If I have a licensable WLC today. What minimum license requirement is needed to turn a WLC into HA ?
The controller needs to have at least 50 access point licenses in order to be able to convert the controller to the standby controller for the wireless LAN.

  • Tension control in labview using PCI 7354 Motion Control Board

I want to make a program for web tension control of roll to roll system in labview using PCI 7354 Motion Control Board. Is there any interface program that can convert my controller output in a format to be directly used as the input of PCI 7354 (Motion Controller Board) for tension control?
    Thank you!

thanks for your reply, i have already make the code of a straight line move and the motor moves successfully, but know i want to put the H-bridge to be able to make a reverse direction for the motor, for your information i only use a PCI-7340 controller and a UMI-7774, where the controller connected to the UMI-7774, the UMI connected to a PWM circuit and the PWM connected to the DC-motor, so what do you think i can do?

  • Problem sending FCP X audio output over USB connection

I have an Antelope Eclipse digital audio converter/monitor controller. It connects to my Mac Pro via USB.
I can play audio just fine out of Pro Tools HD Native at any sample rate.
However, I have just discovered that the audio from FCP X is distorted and "wobbly"......apparently there is a sample rate sync problem between FCP X and the Eclipse.
The audio in question is Linear PCM @ 48kHz.
Is there a problem with FCP X sending audio out through a USB 2.0 connection?
Do I need to change some FCP X settings?

Thanks for the input. Yes, I am aware of possible latency issues. I would stay with low latency sound cards like the Pro Tools card, which worked fine. There would be no D/A conversion, so latency is usually not an issue.
I have asked about compatibility with sound cards in a separate thread, just to be sure any sound card that the Mac Pro recognizes will work:

  • SSD time

Hi All; I have a June04 G5 DP1.8. Currently I have it maxed out with a Geforce7800GS video card(good move people, sped it up like RAM and HDD did, maybe more)max RAM 4 GB, and am running two 7200rpm 32mb cache HDD. I am thinking that I will change the startup drive for an SSD just big enough for OS plus a little and do all storage and backing up on the second drive(HDD). The sata connector is 1.5 GBsec I believe, so how do I determine what SSD is fast enough and which ones are beyond realistic usability? I don't want to waste money I just want to get every last nano second of performance I can. BTW why do HDD's talk about seek times and SSD's talk about read and write times? Where can I find formulas that convert sata controller speeds, seek times, read/write times into the same language?

Mechanical drives talk in terms of ms (millisecond) while SSD are ns (nano, which is closer to processor latency).
SATA 1.0 will limit most SSD of course, which now have 250MB/sec r/w times.
OWC has only recently deemed to put the latest 2.0 firmware on theirs, so be sure it has the latest! Sand Force controllers have had that available since December.
Mac OS won't have TRIM so it is doubly important that the SSD controller does have active background garbage collection going on (normally during idle time, say weekly).
Restoring SSD can be tricky in terms of performance on a Mac.
MacIntouch today had a report of a G4 Sawtooth user with SSD for system and mini-home folder. Said it really made a difference. - putting home on mechanical drive was slowing down holding back Safari and anything that needed read or write to home folder regularly like browsers and some apps.
This is better than some mechanical drives that have not done so well on 2003/-4 G5s or couldn't even use newer 10K WD Raptors.
The only reason to get one from OWC is support Mac vendor but given how they took over 3 months to include the latest firmware, I just went with Corsairs instead. OCZ is fine now too (a year ago reports circulated that they were using "tier 2 parts" for nand memory. Corsair I knew was using Micron and that plus Sand Force 1200 = success.

  • Media manager refusing to trim

I captured a 15GB clip from analog over a DV converter (non-controllable source). The last time I checked in on the capture, the tape had finished and left several minutes of dead media in the clip.
I'm trying to use Media Manager to trim this off. I set in and outpoints and created a subclip with only the media I need, then launched Media manager. No matter what settings are chosen, the destination size is the same as the result size. What's going on? I could really use the space back right now.

When you capture using the Non controllable preset, FCP does not look for code on the tape being capture. Instead it give the clip "generic" code. So that's what you've got now, it just means the code on the clips has no relation to the tape so a recapture with the same code is not possible.
If you are only talking about one clip that has not yet been edited this is not a problem. Exporting from the FCP timeline is just simple since that's where the clip is now right?
Anyway you do it (including Media Manager) the important thing is that you have enough free space on a drive to make the copy and that you export without adding any compression (use current settings in the QT export dialogue in FCP)
    Good Luck

  • Convert PXIe-8135 controller to dual-boot Windows 7 and LabVIEW RT

Hello. I have a PXIe-8135 controller that originally was just running Windows 7. We are trying to convert it to a dual boot system to also run LabView Real Time. (There is host computer that will run LabVIEW 2014 with the RT module, and the controller will become a target).
I have created a FAT32 partition on the hard drive of the controller. Now, I’m trying to install the real-time OS with a USB flash drive made using the MAX utility, but I cannot boot using the USB drive for some reason. I keep getting the message “waiting for USB device to initialize”.
In BIOS, legacy USB support is [ENABLED] and boot configuration is set to [Windows/other OS]. I’ve tried removing the drive, waiting, and reinserting. I’ve tried two different USB drives (both 8 GB, different brands).
I’m not sure what to do next. Apart from the USB boot issue, is converting the PXIe-8135 even possible?  I read about SATA/PATA hard drive issues with older controllers, but I don't know about this one.
Thanks, in advance, for your help!
    -Jeff
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Per Siana's licensing comment, more information on purchasing a deployment license if you do not have one for this target can be found here.
The RT Utility USB key is used to set up non-NI hardware with LabVIEW Real-Time, but you should not need it in this situation to convert to dual-boot (*). Try this:
    1. Since you already have a FAT32 partion created, go into BIOS setup and change to booting 'LabVIEW RT'.
    2. The system will attempt to boot LabVIEW RT, see that the partition is empty, and switch over into LabVIEW RT Safe Mode. (this safemode is built into the firmware, which is why you don't really need the USB key).
    3. The system should come up correctly and be detectable from MAX, and you can proceed with installing software.
    4. To switch back to Windows, go back to BIOS setup and choose 'Windows/Other OS'
(*) One area where the USB key is helpful on a dual boot system is with formatting the disk. If you want to convert from FAT32 to Reliance on the partition designated for LabVIEW RT, the USB key lets you attempt to format a single parition and leave the rest of the disk untouched. If you format from MAX, the standard behavior is to format only one RT partition if found, but if not found, it will format the entire disk.  Formatting from MAX on a dual boot system is consequently riskier and you could lose your Windows partition.

  • QT Pro Crashes with "Export Controller" error when converting M2V to H.264

I am currently experiencing a problem with QT Pro for Win. Any time I try to convert a M2V file to an H.264 encoded .mp4 file, QT pro gets approx 10-16% complete with the conversion and then crashes. (This happens when trying to encode an 2hr SD M2V file taken from a DVD or a 1/2hr M2V HD file recorded via EyeTV, so the resolution/size isn’t an issue.) The error message is always that there was a “QT Export Controller error”. I do not get this kind of error when using the same files with QT Pro on my MacBook only on my windows box. I am running the most current version of QT. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

    Hi,
I too am having crashing issues.... and I too got no help from Apple. Just go to website they said... great!!?? Now I know why I never use these guys products!!!
However, rant over, I do have a need to use Quicktime.
I am trying to use Quicktime to convert quicktime movies to the new H.264 codec, a function available with Quicktime Pro.
However when I go to export window and then to the video setings window, quicktime just suddenly closes(not crash). I can go into the audio section though and change options in there. I have uninstalled and re-installed with no luck.
    This is extremely frustrating
    any help greatly appreciated

I tried playing with a lot of things thought it was a certificate issue on the AP's really couldn't figure it out. I had to convert the AP to autonomous and then back to LWAPP for it to work. Now by putting it into bridge mode for mesh support its doing the same thing. Thoughts

    Hi,
For bridge ap to join to the WLC, you should add the ap's MAC address to the WLC MAC filters. You can add the AP's MAC either through the command line interface or the web interface of the WLC. In your case, execute the following command on the WLC:
    config mac-filter add
