Cookies not recognized in NSMutableURLRequest

Question

Hi,
I'm trying to send a NSMutableURLRequest that has 2 attached cookies. When I perform a sendSynchronousRequest on it, I am redirected to the sign-in page, meaning the cookies weren't attached to the request.
I have the following code below. I've tried performing the below HTTP request through Telnet and it does work, which is why I think I am attaching the cookies incorrectly.
NSString *url = @"http://www.xxx.com/add-item.html";
NSURL *theURL = [NSURL URLWithString:url];
NSMutableURLRequest *urlRequest = [NSMutableURLRequest requestWithURL:theURL];
[urlRequest setHTTPMethod: @"GET"];
[urlRequest setValue:@"www.xxx.com" forHTTPHeaderField:@"Host"];
[urlRequest setValue:@"cookie1=aaa-bbb-ccc; cookie2=ddddd-eeeee" forHTTPHeaderField:@"Cookie"];
[urlRequest setHTTPShouldHandleCookies:YES];
resData = [NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest:urlRequest
                                    returningResponse:&response
                                                error:&error ];

To set your own cookies, use:
[urlRequest setHTTPShouldHandleCookies:NO];
