  • Assign direct material cost to value field in copa while issue to Prod orde

    Dear All,
    My requirement is like this:
There are some 16 material groups from A to P each containing some materials(finished goods).
I want to allocate overhead to different material groups(Charecteristic in copa) in COPA using the periodic assesment cycles. I am able to allocate overhead(admin & sales cost) to different value fields in copa from different cost centers.
I want to analyse the product cost and also the profitability of each material group in COPA using Report painter. Iam able to pull all the costs which i assign to value fields using assessment. But, i am NOT able to get the direct material cost which is issued to production orders using BOM.
My question is whether we can assign the direct material cost to any user defined value field(material cost value field) while the material is being issued to production orders. Is there any automated way where we can directly assign the direct material cost to value field in copa while issuing the material to Production orders.
Pls explain me whether we can do it. if yes how?
Thank you very much in advance.
    Regards,
    Vishnu
    VST-IT.

PA is a Profitability analysis tool. That means it gets updated when a sale is made, not before. (Except for settlements and assessment of overheads.)
Goods issues for production gets updated in CO-PC, and needs to be analysed there. If you don't, you loose all the inbuilt tools for variance analysis, cost estimate comparisons, Wip Calculation etc. To the best of my knowledge, a Profitability Segment cannot be used as a cost object in Production Planning, because amongst others, you need to be able to capitalise the produced materials to stock at the end of the production run, or to WIP at the end of the Financial period, which is not possible with PS.
Similarly, overheads are recorded in CCA and needs to be analysed there.
If one goes against these big groupings in SAP, you always run into problems.

  • COPA extraction issues - Incorrect field name for selection

    Dear gurus,
I've issues with my COPA extraction, hope you guys could give me some clue here, point will be rewarded if I could fine the solution.
    Requirement:-
    To add additional field.
    Step:-
    As usual 1) Delete
                   2) Create back with select the new field. (KEB0)
                   3) Do not have issues when check RSA3 from DEV, but when transport to QAS I hit this issues.
    Issues:
At RSA3 , when do check hit the error, "Errors occurred during the extraction"
When check from RSA3 log here I get..
** Did try to find any solution in SCN forum, with no luck. Hope get some help here.
    thank you
    rgds
    Edi.

Yes I did get this feedback ..
    Hi Edi,
As per the standard SAP, once you have assigned characteristics and values fields to your operating concern (KEA0), you can't de-assign them. When characteristics or values fields are in assigned status, you can't delete them.
But I hope there won't be much problem of having that characteristic also. If you look at performance wise, then instead of deleting, make "not used" under profitability segment characteristics, remove from the characteristic groups etc. While doing so, please check any derivation rules written based on these, or any assessment cycles defined with these also..
    Regards...

  • Virtual copies naming issue

When I created a virtual copy of an image in LR3, and then I renamed the images, the virtual copies would have the new name with a hyphen.
i.e if there were two virtual copies associate with the file, the renamed sequence would be as follows jcp0001, jcp0001-1(vc), jcp0001-2(vc), jcp0004
This had the advantage of keeping my file numbers in sync when I uploaded them to my online lab (Pictage) and the client gave me a file name.
In LR4 renaming sequencing doesn't take into account the virtual copies in terms of the chronological # and compensating for the vcs. So the same sequence would be jcp0001, jcp0001-copy(vc), jcp0001-copy2(vc), jcp0002
This has the affect of misaligning my files with those of the online host. I have searched for how to adjust this, but cannot find a solution.
    Anyone know of one?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Justine

The copy names are included in the exported filenames, but the way they are named by LR has changed from LR3 to LR4. The numbered sequence no longer "counts" the virtual copies as taking up a chronological number space. I know it's really confusing to explain!
But think of it this way, LR now counts the first master file as 0001, and the next master file as 0002, but there are 2 virtual copies of 0001. So when I export them, master file 0002 is really the 4th file in the list, and then I have a discrepancy between my hard drive files and the ones online the client is seeing (they see it as image 0004, when it's really file 0002). Does that make the problem clearer?
    Thanks,
    Justine

  • COPA Report Issue

    Hi,
Now i am at Client place and i need COPA help.
We have activated costing based COPA in our operating concern.
In our report sales quantity, revenues and other revenues are only from SD related items. Rest of items are costs related. Our reporting requirement is different and our cost component structure is different.
    Our Report Requirement:
    Sales Quantity
    Revenues
    Other Revenues
    Raw Material Costs
    Scrap Credit
    Price Difference
    Outside Job Work Charges
    Machine Costs
    Gear Cutting Costs
    Heat Treatment Costs
    Final Finishing Costs
    Tooling Cost
    Distribution Cost
    Administration Cost
    Finance Cost
    Interest Cost
In above fields list, we have raw material cost, scrap credit, Outside Job work charges are availiable directly in Cost Component structure. For those fields i have assigned value fields in KE4R t code. For rest of cost fields i assigned value fields and source fields in customization.
i designed form and report also.
I done most of configuration but system is not giving data to report, but we have the data in system.
I created PA transfer structure also but i didn't assigned to any settlement profile. Does it is mandatory to assign settlement profile, if yes please give me idea on settlement profile
Please guide me on rest of my things.
Please help me on what i have missed in customization settings
    It is very very urgent.

  • COPA Assessment issue

    Hi
I have set up a COPA Assessment (KEU1) using "variable portions" as the tracing factor. However, when I go to execute the assessment (KEU5) I get an error message GA733 "The segment contains no receivers". However, I have set up my receiving characteristics and value field correctly and do no see where there could be a problem.
I have checked OSS Notes 61370 and 180993 but neither seems to resolve this.
Has anyone had this problem before, or know of a resolution?
    Many Thanks

There are two more notes 97087 and 128538. You may want to check them as well, provided they apply to your release.

  • Purch. Req. to COPA link causing problems for PO Goods Receipt

A problem just started occuring in the past week and a half where our Warehouse staff could not receive in goods due to error: "Complete PA transfer structure FI".
What I have found out is that when a Purch. Req. is created with Account Assignment "F" (Internal Order - GR), the corresponding EKBN segment is being created with a Profitability Analysis segment ID (EKBN-PAOBJNR) and the Functional Location field (EKBN-FKBER) is left blank.
Previously, the PA Seg ID has been blank and the Functional Location fields has always contained a value.
This COPA link issue is causing havoc in our Receiving department and I can not find if there was a configurator's transport that caused it (no is fessing up to anything), or if a customer in the MM system set some type of flag -or- is some G/L Account was set up incorrectly that is causing a link to COPA when the PR eventually gets received into inventory.
    Help.

I have checked the KEI2 before and for our Assignment 30 we have "Other Costs", and in the "Source" for the Assignment Lines for #30, we have defined a Group (OTHERCOSTS).
This group or set contains the Cost elements which we now have to add to, every time we come across a new cost element or G/L account that is assigned to a PO with line items of Account Assignment Category "F".
The problem is that approximately 3 weeks ago if a PO was created with type "F" line items and the G/L account (cost element) in the Account Assignment portion of the PO was not one that was in the OTHERCOSTS Group/Set ... we had no problem doing the Goods Receipt of the PO -AND- a PA segment was created as well.
For now, we are just adding any new Cost elements to our OTHERCOSTS set if the need arises.

  • COPA report & G/L balance misatched

    Dear Experts,
Will u pls explain me when i see G/L balance of Domestic Sales(G/l number 500000) it come  200050.If i check it through COPA report in same period/year,distribution channel of Domestic sale it shows  me different figure. In the COPA repot in top list item when i check FI documents one by one some documents are missing.Pls suggest me how i got correct data in the COPA report and why the  documents not seen in COPA reprt.Pls suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Debashis

    Hi
FI - COPA reconciliation is always a tedious task and time consuming.
Download COPA line item data from KE24 and FI balance from FBL3n and compare the balances by record type.
    1. Make sure cost element category for your sales GL 500000 is either set to 11 or 12.
    2. Check the record type of COPA documents posted in KE24.
    3. If the record type is F which comes thru SD/Billing module, check and make sure the FI Balance matches with COPA for this record type. You need to get the FI balance for this record type either by user/Job name or by different doc type.
    4. Check if there is any direct FI-PA transfer structure is activated for this GL and if any user posted FI entry with manual entry of characteristics, where by some of the characteristics are not input correct/blank. This is higly prone transaction for FI - COPA reconciliation issue.
    5. Check if there is any direct COPA entry posting made thru transaction KE21N. This will result in more/less balance in COPA than in FI.
    6. Check if any copa entries are transferred thru external system, and few important characteristics not derived properly.
    7. Check KEDR derivations are set properly
    8. Check if any other cost element area are allocated to this cost element in Controlling Allocations/distributions/assesments.
    9. Last but not the least, check if the COPA report you are checking is able to identify the correct characteristics. If not amend the report based on the data poste.

  • Proximity issue with Air Tunes

    Hi-
I have read several posts about this but nothing directly related to what I have found.
I have been using an Airport Express for years specifically for steaming music wirelessly via Air Tunes. In the last several months I have noticed that intermittently Air Tunes cuts out.  Recently I have found that this has to do with the proximity of my iPhone or other devices proximity to the Air Port Express.
As soon as I get within a few feet of the Air Port Express the music will cut off, when I move further away it resumes.  I have tested this extensively and can replicate it without issue so it really seems to be a proximity issue.
This never used to happen, but now happens all the time.  I have an IPhone 5 but the problem occurred with my iPhone 4.  It also occurs with my wife’s iPhone 3GS and my iPad (first gen).
Has anyone else noticed this proximity issue with streaming wirelessly?

    Thanks Chris for this link.

  • Can we use the AdventureWorks2008R2 data for the real time project.

    Hi,
In our project we are trying to do the data scrambling on First name, last name and middle name...
In the regular practice we use to update the names as
    First Name = FN+<PERSON_SNO>
    Last Name = LN+<PERSON_SNO>
    Middle Name = MN+<PERSON_SNO>
The Problem is the names are not looking realistic, so I thought of applying some logic and updating our PERSON table names based on Person.Person table in adventure works.
My question is can we use the AdventureWorks2008R2 data for the real time project. Is there any cop right issue.
Someone please help me solve this issue.
    Thanks

  • Not enough free space in / for updates. How do I free up?

Hi guys, recently I had a lot of work to do and I didn't updated my arch because of the risk of some instability. Now when I'm done and have free time to cope with issues if there are any I saw that I have lots of lots of updates totalling in 1857.10 megs after installation. Problem is that I have only 1.5G in my / partition. How do I free up some space? What have eaten 11 gig partition? I've done pacman -Scc (I know its not recommended) and deleted unused apps. now after I have downloaded the updates I have 1.5 gig and they total in 1857 megs. What do I do? One thing I haven't payed attention is the way new updates are installed. Are the new files just replacing the old ones or the old ones still exist and the new ones are coppied too? If the files are being replaced maybe my space will be enough, but who knows This is from df -h if it is in any help http://pastebin.com/4TRZZyPS Thanks to everyone who share an idea

  • Exchange Failover - Outlook Doesn't Work with 1 Server

    Hi,
    Wondering if someone could help.
We have 3 Exchange 2010 servers with all roles installed.  All at SP3 RU6.  DAG set up between all 3 servers for all mailbox databases.  Manual failover is enabled.  MB1 holds all copies.  Outlook 2010 with all latest updates being
    used by end clients.
MB1 - Main Physical Server – All Active Copies – No Issues
MB2 – Secondary Physical server – Passive – Problem Server
MB3 – VM for use in the worst case scenario – Passive – No issues
We simulated MB1 failing.  We can get MB2 to take ownership of the databases manually.  OWA works fine, mail flow works fine but whenever we open Outlook it either fails to connect and continues to say “Server is unavailable, Retry, Work Offline,
Cancel” or the inbox loads but it loads old mail from a month+ ago (I actually this this may be a cached mode setting that’s being taken from somewhere even though cached mode is disabled) and sits at “Offline”.  If I do the “Test E-mail Auto configuration”
then everything passes fine but we can’t get the client to go online at all.
If I fail everything over to MB3 then it all connects up ok and works fine.  I stuck MB1 back online with mailboxes being active on MB2 and Outlook pointing to MB1 and it works fine.  The only thing that appears to be broken is when Outlook points
    to MB2 only.
    Thanks

We don't have a CAS array set up.  We want the fail over to be fully manual and only fail over to another server when mb1 is in a completely failed state and won't be back up and running withing a set time frame.  We can get everything working
on MB3 and only Outlook doesn't work when everything is on MB2.  Outlook also doesn't work if databases are on another server and DNS is pointing Outlook to MB2 (again MB3 works fine).

This is Oracle upgrade from 10.2.0.2 to Oracle 11.2   (on Windows platform)
Since 10202 to 11 is not SAP supported, we upgrade from 10.2.0.4 first before upgrade to 11

    HI,
Check below details from oracle Metalink.
    Curtesy of Oracle Metalink
A1) Errors connecting as SYSDBA / Internal OR on startup nomount
There is something fundamental wrong with the software / environment
if you cannot connect to Server Manager as a DBA user.
The steps here cover errors such as ORA-3113, ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact
or similar errors connecting to Oracle or starting the instance NOMOUNT.
    Check the following items:
A1.1) If possible reboot the server disabling any automatic
startup of Oracle before you do so. This may seem drastic
but helps make sure you are working from a consistent
    starting point.
A1.2) Check your environment points at the expected ORACLE_HOME
and ORACLE_SID and that TWO_TASK is not set (Unix) or
LOCAL is not set (NT registry).
Check the USER_DUMP_DEST and BACKGROUND_DUMP_DEST and default
trace directories under this environment for any user trace
files or alert log entries generated. These may help indicate
    the cause of the problem.
Eg: ORA-600[SKGMINVALID] may indicate a problem with the
shared memory Unix parameters on Unix systems.
Try to show that any trace file / alert log entry you
find is truely related to the "CONNECT" command by re-issuing
the "connect" and checking for a new trace file / alert entry
at the time of the error.
    A1.3) Unix only:
Some Unix platforms need LD_LIBRARY_PATH to be set
correctly to resolve any dynamically linked libraries.
As the user with the problem:
    % script /tmp/ldd.out
    % id
    % cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
    % ldd oracle
    % exit
If the 'ldd' command does not exist go to the next step below.
Check that all lines listed show a full library file. If there
are any 'not found' lines reported contact Oracle support
with the output of /tmp/ldd.out .
    A1.4) Unix only:
Your 'oracle' executable may be corrupt. Relink it thus:
Log in as the 'oracle' user.
    % script /tmp/relink.out
    % cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib
    % mv $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle.dd.mon.yy
    % rm -f ./oracle
    % make -f ins_rdbms.mk ioracle
    % exit
Prior to Oracle7.3 the relink command was:
    make -f oracle.mk ioracle
If this reports any errors Oracle support will need to see
the contents of the file /tmp/relink.out .
A1.5) Have you installed the Parallel Server Option ?
ORA-3113 can occur if you have installed the Parallel
Server Option but do NOT have a Distributed Lock Manager
    installed or running correctly.
    Unix:
If the Parallel Server Option was installed by accident
then it can be de-installed by relinking.
    Eg:
    Shut down any Oracle instances
    % script /tmp/relink.out
    % cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib
'oracle' should not exist so delete it if it present
    % rm -f oracle
    % make -f ins_rdbms.mk no_parropt ioracle
    % exit
NB: Do NOT deinstall the Parallel Server Option if the
database is using Parallel Server unless both nodes
are shut down otherwise database corruption could occur.
A1.6) If the error is on STARTUP NOMOUNT:
Check the init.ora file used to start the database.
This provides the configuration details used
configure the instance. To help isolate the problem
it may be useful use a very basic init.ora file
when starting the instance. If this works then
parameters can be increased / introduced one at a
time to see if there is a problem with a particular
    setting.
A1.7) Check for server side trace files which may give more
indication what the underlying problem is.
See section C for details on how to check
    for server trace files.
A1.8) Ensure there is free disk space in:
    a. Your USER_DUMP_DEST and BACKGROUND_DUMP_DEST locations
    b. Your AUDIT destination (Unix)
    The default is $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/audit
    c. Your Oracle Trace directory if Oracle Trace is enabled
    See <Note:45482.1>
    A2) Errors Mounting the database
Check all the items in A1 first.
If an error occurs when mounting the database there may be problems
with the control-files or data files, or with resources required to
    open these files.
A2.1) The location of the control files are specified in the
init.ora file. Try mounting using each controlfile in
    turn.
    eg: "Shutdown abort",
edit the init.ora to refer to ONE of the controlfiles only,
    "startup nomount",
    "alter database mount"
Repeat for each controlfile to see if any controlfile works.
A2.2) It is possible to re-create the controlfiles if you know the
location of all datafiles and online logs, or to restore an old
backup controlfile. Always back up the current controlfiles before
restoring any backup copies or issuing a CREATE CONTROLFILE
    command.
The steps for this are not documented here.
    A2.3) Unix:
Some unix platforms have a 'truss' command (or 'tusc').
If available this can be used to help trace how far Oracle
    gets before the error occurs.
    Eg:
    % truss -o /tmp/truss.out -f svrmgrl
Keep the file /tmp/truss.out safe - Oracle Support MAY need to see it.
