Copy dependecies to war file webservices

Hey Guys,
This is regarding generating ear file for webservices.
I have a Java class A.class which has 2 methods and they will be exposed as webservice methods. A.class has reference to b.class, c.class. When i create a war file through <servicegen><service> tags in build.xml, b.class and c.class and related libraries are not added to the war file. Only class A.class is added. can somebody let me know how i can add the dependency files to the war file which will eventually become part of ear file.
Thanks
Kishore

Hi,
I too am looking for this I need to add all the dependent classes and external jar files to an ear file but when using servicegen it doesn't add them how can I add all this to my ear file.
Thanks

    I have an application, and deploy the war file, I make a new war and when I go to deploy the next error appaers:
    Error while de-serializing the information concerning the J2EE application from the PersistentObject named: inv with description: J2EE application: inv Root Cause:
    oracle.ias.sysmgmt,common,Init.Parameters; is no Serializable.
    In the web server the only change was modify the IP number.
    What can I do?

    Given your war file looks like this:
    jspapp.war
      |___ META-INF
      |         |___ Manifest.MF
      |___ WEB-INF
      |         |___ web.xml
      |
      |___whatever.jspYou should copy the jspapp.war file to the webapps directory of your Tomcat (I'm assuming your using Tomcat).
    Then your context would look like:
    <Context path="/jspapp" docBase="jspapp" debug="0" reloadable="true"/>
    You don't need the c:\. There is no c:\ in your war file.

                        I should say you that we do not have a package and class like: com.wira.webservices.bpel.jaxws.RequestResponse and it looks like WLS is mistaken about this.
              Indeed this application works fine on Sun java application server 9 (java ee 5 certified). Can you please tell me why does it happens?
              here is source code of Wsti class
                        @WebService()
              public class Wsti {
                  @WebMethod(operationName="requestResponse")
                  public String requestResponse(@WebParam(name="request") String request) {
                      return ReflectionManager.call(WstiImp.class, request);
                                            for reflection we used standard JDK reflection stuff.
              and that call method call a method identified in request from WstiImp class.

    Following are the steps involved in deploying a WAR file in Oc4j.
    1. Copy the file to D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications where d:\oc4j is the location OC4J is installed in.
    copy mywar.war D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications
    2. Open the application.xml file in D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\config directory
    and add the following after the <web-module id="defaultWebApp" path="../default-web-app" />
    line:
    <web-module id="mywar" path="../applications/mywar.war" />
    3. Open the default-web-site.xml file in D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\config
    directory and add the following after the <default-web-app application="default" name="defaultWebApp" /> line:
    <web-app application="default" name="mywar" root="/mywar" />
    Hope this helps

  • Were can i found the bo sdk (i.e .war files) for java

    were can i found the bo sdk  code

    i think first of all i need to deploy the webservices on tomcat, and then i need to follow these steps i think
    To set up your web application
    Create the following directory structure in the web applications directory of your web application server:
    web_application_name
          WEB-INF
             lib
             classes
          crystalreportviewers
    Note: Replace web_application_name with the name of your web application. Your web application will be stored in the web_application_name directory. This is the root directory for the web application and contains all of the files that the web application needs. Your web application directory (web_application_name) should be located in the main web application's directory for your web application server (for Tomcat, this directory is typically called webapps).
    Directory Contents:
    The WEB-INF directory contains all of the support files required for your web application.
    The WEB-INF\lib directory contains all of the JAR files required by your web application.
    The crystalreportviewers directory contains all of the support files required by the viewers.
    Copy the support and library JAR files required for your web application into the WEB-INF\lib directory.
    For details on which JARs to deploy, see JAR files needed for deployment of Business Objects Software.
    Note: Copy the jar files from java\lib\external into WEB-INF\lib; do not copy to WEB-INF\lib\external.
    If you are using scheduling components or a report viewer in your application, deploy the CrystalReports.war file (\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\java\applications on Windows) with your web application.
    Create a web.xml file for your web application and save it in the WEB-INF directory (or modify an existing web.xml file if you are adding viewing capability to an existing web application).
    To learn how to set up the web.xml file, see Configuring your web.xml file.

  • Error auto-deploying a Web App (.WAR file)

    Hello,
    Weblogic 6.1 throws a FileNotFoundException about 10% of the time for me when
    auto-deploying a Web app. Has anyone else run into this? I searched the newsgroups
    but didn't come up with anything, so I thought I'd start here.
    My build/deploy cycle is managed by an Ant build file that creates a WAR file
    of my web application and then drops it into $WL_HOME/config/mydomain/applications.
    Occasionally when I do this, I get the error shown below. Originally I was building
    the WAR file right in the ../applications directory, so I thought that might be
    an issue. So, I started building the WAR file in a staging directory and copying
    it into ../applications. No luck. Next, I tried deleting the original WAR file
    from ../applications, and THEN copying the new one over from the staging directory.
    Still fails occasionally.
    Let's see. This is Weblogic 6.1 on Win2K. The only other thing is that my dev/build/staging
    environment is on a network share, and it's from there that I'm copying the WAR
    file to my local machine (where WL is running).
    If someone has seen and/or knows what is up with this, great. If not, it's not
    a show-stopper.
    Thanks!
    Cheers,
    David

    Michael,
    This is a problem with 6.1 SP2 also -- a very annoying error. Without auto deploy
    working properly, developers are spending alot of time waiting for WebLogic to restart.
    HELP!!! we need this fixed.
    I see the EXACT same stack trace (ERROR).

  • How to work with two different backend with same MI Server and war file

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement that we need to work with one Middleware for two backends. For that we had to copy MAM30 sync bo's to zsync BO'S with the name ZMAM30. Now both sync BO'S will point to different backends.
    I have a standard war file which was working well with standards sync bo's. Now to work on zsync bo's what all the changes do I have to do in the standard war file(code).
    As per my knowledge we have a file called "syncbonamelist.properties" which maps the sync bo keys. Also there is another file called "mapping.xml" file which maps the package name with BO name.
    Can any body please tell me, are there any other files needed to be change like "meRepMeta.xml", other than any existing code like java objects are also needed to be changed.
    Your help in this regard is highly appreciable.
    Regards
    Murthy

    Hi Murthy,
    I try to get my head around the question:WHY?
    The reason for my question is, that this influences the answer!
    Because of several reasons it is NOT possible to handle MAM and zMAM Bos at the SAME TIME on the SAME MACHINE in the way you describe it - and it makes no sence to do so at all! But anyway......
    Lets say you have two backends, cause you have two different areas of the company. But both want to use the same MI server - but the client should be independend.
    So you need two apps. One uses the MAM BOs and the second one uses the zMAMBos.
    If this is the case, dev should be straight forward I think and you solution should work already......... so I ask myself, what is the problem you have? Do you get an error?
    - First create a new MEREPMETA-XML with just the zMAMBOs instead of the MAM BOs.
    - Change the two files you mentioned above.
    This should be all then.
    If you have a look into the implementation for MAM001Impl for example, there you find a line like:
         private static final String SYNC_BO_NAME
              = ResourceBundle.getBundle("com.sap.mbs.mam.bo.impl.syncbonamelist").getString("MAM30_040");
    This takes the name from the properties file and maps it to the real BO. So changing the name in the property file to
    MAM30_040 = zMAM30_040
    will result in MAM uses the zMAM BOs.
    Be aware: after you place the WAR file in the WEBAPPS folder and do a restart to deploy the file, you need to do a data reset to make sure the new MEREPMETA.XML is read.
    AND: two apps! one for MAM and one for zMAM BOs. One APP is not possible! Cause if you have something like that in the properties file:
    MAM30_040 = MAM30_040
    MAM30_040 = zMAM30_040
    if will only take the first reading.
    But I think this is clear to you anyway

    Oliver

  • Not able to create EAR file for WAR file extracted project

    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to import a WAR file, make changes to the project and create an EAR file for the same. I am not able to remove import
    errors despite of adding required jar files to it.
    Also, I am not able to create an EAR file for the same.
    I have copied the steps here with screen shots. Below are the steps :
    Import WAR file in NWDS 7.3 – Enterprise Portal perspective
    Select WAR file to create WAR and EAR project for it.
      Project created with import errors.     e.g – com.sapportals.portal.prt*
    Found jar file from Class – target jar file table.
    e.g – for Class com.sapportals.portal.prt.resource.IResource needed jar file is tc~epbc~prt~api.jar
    Copied required jar files in WEB-INF -> lib folder.
    Configure Build path and Add External jars.
    Portalapp file screen shot
    I think errors should go now, but they still exist.
    Next I right click on WAR project and tried updating related EAR project.
      Next, Export EAR file from EAR project.
       I have tried both EAR types.
    But EAR file is not created.
    Please help me in removing the errors.
    Thanks in advance :-)

    Hi Anubha,
    I feel that you're missing JAR dependencies and hence not able to resolve the above import errors.
    Please go through the below thread for the AFP Masthead customization and follow the same:

  • Deploying a .war file on WLP 8.1

    Hi Folks,
    I have installed BEA WLP 8.1 with Service Pack 2 on a Linux RedHat 9 machine(this

    add classpath for my application's jar files. Started the server. Opened up console
    http://<machine ip>:7001/console, deployed three .war files that are required
    to integrate BEA with my application module. It successfully deployed. The files

  • Deploying a WAR file to Sun App Server 8.1 PE

    So I thought that if I downloaded Sun App Server PE 8.1 and put it on my soon-to-be production machine, it should be pretty easy right?
    Nope. So I have JSC update 6 (which includes Sun Application Server 8.0) (God how I wish there was a catchy name like Tomcat or something)
    And I have a machine running a good copy, installed and everything, of Sun Application Server 8.1 Platform Edition (another catchy name) up on the production target.
    I create a WAR file in JSC, scp it up.
    Then try to deploy it - so I get bit by the no DB connection thing.
    Ok, but when I copy each of my connection's attributes (the driver (which I did copy up to the lib directory) is MySQL's Connector/J)
    I copy the username, password, URL and DriverClass attributes to the connection pool.
    I still get a
    "Operation 'pingConnectionPool' failed in 'resources' Config Mbean. Target exception message: Class name is wrong or classpath is not set for : com.sun.sql.datasource.DriverAdapter"
    when I try to Ping the ConnectionPool
    I have javax.sql.DataSource as the resource type... (same as 8.0 uses)
    what JAR file is DriverAdapter in? anyone know?
    cheers,
    Kris

    Okay. mysql folks - this works......
    here's what happened, on the production server, different from the dev machine....
    mysql 4.1.9
    sun application server platform edition PE 8.1
    connector/j - latest
    and on the dev machine: JSC Update 6 and the app works fine on the dev machine.
    first, there is a JAR file in ~whatever/Create/SunAppServer/lib/ named
    driveradaptor.jar
    and it it comtains
    com.sun.sql.datasource.DriverAdapter
    which 8.1 ain't got
    and should be copied up to
    /installdir/SunAppServer/domains/domain1/lib/ext/driveradapter.jar
    (domain1 is your app svr domain that runs your app.)
    your Connector/J JAR needs to go here too. I used:
    mysql-connector-java-3.2.0-alpha-bin.jar
    downloaded from mysql.com.
    and then there is the whole thing about Added Properties in the Connection Pool page inside the 8.1 Admin Console (which is nice work guys). Gawd, I added a bunch of properties and am, frankly, not sure which ones actually work (for the Ping, for the initial connection creation and the eventual successful connection all seem to use different combinations...)
    and I found this in the domain's domain.xml once all the admin console page filling was done - but you'll need to add each one as a Property in the connection pool:
    <jdbc-connection-pool connection-validation-method="auto-commit" datasource-classname="com.sun.sql.datasource.DriverAdapter" fail-all-connections="false" [blah...]
    <property name="Username" value="root"/>
    <property name="Password" value="secret"/>
    <property name="ValidationQuery" value="SELECT 1"/>
    <property name="DriverClassName" value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"/>
    <property name="LoginTimeout" value="0"/>
    <property name="Url" value="jdbc:mysql://localhost/databasename?autoReconnect=true"/>
    <property name="User" value="root"/>
    <property name="password" value="secret"/>
    <property name="PasswordCredential" value="secret"/>
    </jdbc-connection-pool>
    (and you see how User and Username and username are all the same thing? well, different parts of 8.1 seem to use different attributes...)
    Just keep Adding Properties in the connection pool until you get them all....
    Oh and, the two key class references for the pool are:
    datasource class: com.sun.sql.datasource.DriverAdapter
    resource type: javax.sql.ConnectionPoolDataSource
    Finally: in the /installdir/SunAppServer/domains/domain1/applications/j2ee-modules/YourAppName/WEB-INF/
    your 'sun-web.xml' (don't delete it, like some have advocated, I think that wrong) needs to look like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE sun-web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Application Server 8.1 Servlet 2.4//EN" "http://www.sun.com/software/appserver/dtds/sun-web-app_2_4-1.dtd">
    <sun-web-app xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee">
    <context-root>/yourcontext</context-root>
    <resource-ref>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/Yourname</res-ref-name>
    <jndi-name>jdbc/Yourname</jndi-name>
    <default-resource-principal>
    <name>root</name>
    <password>secret</password>
    </default-resource-principal>
    </resource-ref>
    </sun-web-app>
    and I think that's all of it. the only Bug I would I would say is that the sun-web.xml should have the right res-ref-name, but then I think the Creator Team knows this and will fix it sometime soon.
    cheers,
    and Roger Federer lost in the Aussie Open. (I think he lost tomorrow too, that whole time zone thing being so damn Einsteinian...)

  • Unable to deploy a war file: could path length in a war file be an issue on WIN2K?

    Hi all,
    I am unable to auto deploy a web app as a war file but has no problem to auto deploy it as an exploded directory that I drop under the
    $PortalHome/config/mydomain/applications directory of the WebLogic Server installation.
    Portal Server runs under W2K.
    I noticed that the generated war file located under $PortalHome/config/mydomain/applications.wlnotdelete contains files which path is 10 level deep and may be over
    255 char.
    Could this be a problem?
    The error I got is:

    What is the complete command line to deploy the war to a managed server, not Admin Server ?
    Our thinking is to deploy an exploded war directory but copy the descriptor files first.
    What do you think ?

  • Deploying a Web Service w/o WAR files

    I've seen several posts on this (including a few from me about a year ago), but I haven't seen anything from Sun on how to do this.
    In JWSDP 1.1 xrpcc would create a *Config.properties file, and I would add the following to my web.xml file
                         <servlet>
              <servlet-name>API</servlet-name>
              <servlet-class>com.sun.xml.rpc.server.http.JAXRPCServlet</servlet-class>
              <init-param>
                 <param-name>configuration.file</param-name>
                 <param-value>/WEB-INF/APIService_Config.properties</param-value>
              </init-param>
              <load-on-startup>0</load-on-startup>
         </servlet>
       <servlet-mapping>
          <servlet-name>API</servlet-name>
          <url-pattern>/api/*</url-pattern>
       </servlet-mapping>The xrpcc tool would create all my stubs, and it would create the *Config.properties file referenced in the web.xml. I could bundle these with my other classes, and everything would work. Very nice.
    JWSDP 1.2 introduced wscompile/wsdeploy. These tools started requiring WARs (which SUCKS for large projects during development, btw. PLEASE ADD OTHER OPTIONS, SUN!!!!!).
    wscompile also quit creating the Config.properties file. However, I was able to keep my old build process working by holding onto the Config.properties files from 1.1 and using the same web.xml definition.
    My questions are:
    1. What tool generates this *Config.properties file? How can I get back to this?
    2. Is the configuraiton I'm using optimal for use with 1.2 (I haven't even looked at 1.3 yet)?
    3. Does anyone else build/deploy not using WAR files?!? Do you have any ideas/suggestions/experience that might be helpful.

    I dont know if this will help, but I also use a config.properties to load my servlet values and also using JWSDP 1.2 .
    I manually create the config file ( since i know what values to expect )
    I run wscompile/wsdeploy over my files to create the war file containing tie + wsdl + utility classes
    This is then extracted to a temp directory .
    Here I maually edit my web.xml and copy the config file across to WEB_INF directory .
    Note that the wsdl file has to be in the same directory as the WEB-INF....
    This may sound quite long winded to do , but works fine for me ..

  • Deploying a CF app as WAR file

    I'd like to package an existing ColdFusion application as a
    WAR file and deploy it on a J2EE server. I've been trying to test
    this out locally without success. If you have a magic bullet,
    you're disco-superfly. If you just have a suggestion for further
    troubleshooting, you're still double cherry pie. Gruesome details
    follow... (Thanks!)
    PACKAGING:
    I've got a developer version of MX7 running on Windows XP. I
    threw together a demo CF app, "SimpleApp". In the administrator, I
    go to "Packaging & Deployment" > "J2EE Archives (.ear/.war)"
    and create an archive (SimpleApp.war).
    DEPLOYMENT:
    I've tried this on both JRun and several versions of Tomcat
    without success. On each server, I have been able to deploy a WAR
    file from a previous project created straight from Java/JSP - just
    not the one created in the CF administrator.
    JRun4:
    In the administrator, I "add" the web applications in the
    "J2EE Components" section and everything looks okay. When I browse
    to the webapp created in native Java/JSP, everything looks
    beautiful; but when I browse to
    http://127.0.0.1:8100/SimpleApp/
    I see a "403 Forbidden" error. Server log default-event.log is at:
    http://www.google.com/base_media?q=hand3802261193274630671&size=8
    Tomcat 4.1 running on J2SDK1.4.2_12:
    Native Java WAR deploys and runs fine.
    I copy SimpleApp.war to the Tomcat webapps\ folder and the
    archive is extracted successfully; but Tomcat fails to start the
    application.
    Server logs:
    localhost_log.2006-09-22.txt:
    http://www.google.com/base_media?q=hand-2475548630705385852&size=8
    stdout_20060922.log:
    http://www.google.com/base_media?q=hand-6363724281182167089&size=8
    I notice an error mentioning "Invalid <url-pattern>
    *.cfml/* in servlet mapping" so I go into the extracted webapp,
    comment out the Search Engine Safe URL mappings in web.xml and try
    again. Now get an error about not being able to find a
    configuration file flex-config.xml... Tomcat still can't start the
    webapp.
    Server logs:
    localhost_log.2006-09-22.txt:

    I heard that MX7 only works with Java versions through 1.4.2
    and Tomcat has it's own compatibility requirements; but I thought
    I'd try other versions of Tomcat...
    Tomcat 5.5 running on JRE1.5.0_06 and bundled SDK:
    Native Java WAR deploys and runs fine.
    SimpleApp won't start (problems similar to above).
    Tomcat 5.5 running on JRE1.4.2_12 (with compatibility patch)
    and bundled SDK:
    Native Java WAR deploys and runs fine.
    SimpleApp won't start (problems similar to above).

    Dear jarviswabi,
    Could you believe I just ran into the same problem you had in 2008, and STILL there are no documented solution to this issue.
    I am trying to deploy a simple CF code using Tomcat 7.0.20, and it just does not work!
    How did you ever resolve this error in Tomcat?  It is supposed to be pretty staright forward, but it just does not work.
    Any ideas?  been looking for days...
    Appeciate any  insight yo may have into this problem.
    Thanks!

  • An issue of deploying war file on tomcat 5.5

    Hi,
    I know the regular process to deply a war file is like this - stop tomcat server, remove your previous war file and directory, say abc.war and dir abc, copy your new version abc.war into webapps and restart tomcat server.
    However, I found an interesting issue today - I was deploying a new release war file as described. While I stopped tomcat, removed all previous version direcotry, and restarted tomcat server, I got an http 404 error saying that the resource /abc/ is not available. I noticed that the org folder was not generated at work/Catalina/locahost/abc.
    I stuck there for a long time to try to fix but did not find a solution. I am pretty sure the war file should be ok since it works fine on my local machine. This only happened in the unix box. Later, occasionally, I removed the director abc without stopping the tomcat server. In another word, I removed the war file while tomcat is still running. A new abc directory was created soon and now it works.
    Anyone has any idea about that? Thanks!
    Michael

    Any thoughts? Thanks

    Any suggestions as to problem and remedy?

    This "Workaround" doesn't fix the fact that Itunes generate an error message because it is unable to convert the audio file ALTHOUGH the audio file is OK.
    This problem started with Itunes 11.1.3, and it affects almost every album in my library for no reasons ...
    Tried deleting all library file, creating a new library and re-importing audio file that I know are OK ... funny thing, it's not always the same file that create this bug.
    Really a random bug ... reopened itunes with "compatibility option" set to "Windows XP SP3"   and  it's different tracks from the same album that can't be converted now.
