Copy Mat. Doc Header Text to FI Doc. Header Text
Dear Guru,
Is there anyway to transfer the Material Document Header Text to the Accounting Document Header Text?
I tried to use the FI Substitution, but somehow in the substitution exit, it just cannot get the material document number from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Kenix, yes, that's what I mean. From the database record, I can see it actually works before.
But not sure if it is because we upgraded from 4.6C to ECC6, this function is gone. Any advise?

FBCJ : header text of FI doc
Hi,
I've created a substitution, to substitute the header text of cash doc by the assignment field :
If BKPF-TCODE = FBCJ
substitute BKPF-BKTXT by BSEG-ZUONR
the problem is the system doesn't execute this substitution, I still have the business transaction as a header text !
I activate the trace in tcode GGB1 to show weather the system read correctly the substitution, and I find it OK, but when I save the Cash doc I still get the the business transaction as a header text !
Please how to resolve this ? the substitution seems work fine but when I save the doc I don't get the expected result !

Vikram.MThis is determined based on the access sequence specified for the Text ID.
You can go to IMG/logistics execution/Basic shipping functions/Text control/Define access sequences for determining texts.
You may also use t-code VOTXN.
If you are trying to check text being copied to delivery header,then click the radio button for the delivery header and click display. go to the relevant text determination procedure and
Check the access sequence assigned to the Text id not being copied.
The Text object should be VBBK to copy texts from sales order header,VBBP for sales item texts.
You can compare it with your other text ids and their access sequences and make the necessary change to the one that is not being copied.

Billing Header text can be print in your billing document, If it is developed smartform then you can take the help the ABAPer to print the text. For the same you have to create the text ID whichever you want to print in smart form then ABAPer will mapped the ID in his smartfrom on required place.

How do I copy PARTS of layers containing many objects from one CS5 AI (v.15.0.2) doc into a new CS5 AI doc and keep/create the same layer names?
To start with, I have one fairly complex AI document with 100 layers, with several hundred items in each layer. For example, one layer named "Stars" contains 400 separate stars (not grouped), another layer named "Crosses" contains 300 separate crosses, and a 3rd layer named "Text" contains 200 separate words (not outlined).
If I select, by marqueeing a section of the image/artboard, some (but not all) of the individual items contained in the several layers, then paste that selection into a new CS5 AI doc, I cannot get them to create new layers of the same name. Instead they go into one general layer (e.g. "Layer 101") as a jumble of discrete, but unorganized objects (no layers or sublayers). In other words, I have lost the 3 main layers from which I selected a bunch of objects.
Checking "Paste Remembers Layers" has no effect on this result. In fact "Paste Remembers Layers" does not remember layers at all. Only if I select ALL the items in the several layers will it paste those layers by those names into the new doc (or create new layers of the same names).
Of course it is a COLOSSAL waste of time copying the ENTIRE document, then pasting the WHOLE thing into the new doc (with layers retained), then deleting the parts I DON'T need, so please don't suggest that as the solution.No Monica, nothing in Plug-ins other than the standard installed items (extensions, filters, formats, etc.). No 3rd-part clipboard extension on my computer that I'm aware of, either. All frustratingly basic. And my other CS5 Adobe programs appear to work well, at least to the extent that I am familiar with them.
So, from what I can tell of the various comments (thanks to all of you), am I correct in thinking that it seems I can't, in fact, do what all of you can do (that is, copy some objects from some layers in one doc and paste into another doc preserving those same layers by name and organization, and each containing the correct objects from each original layer)?
If so, that solves half my issue - "is it supposed to be possible to do it"; leaving just the other half - "why can't I do it too".
I'll get those screenshots made and posted later just in case I haven't adequately described the issue, or y'all haven't understood it. -

Select, and Copy in the Word doc and Paste in the Pages doc. It may not be perfect. Importing (Opening) the Word doc is probably better than using Copy/Paste for large amounts of content.

When I copy/paste a paragraph from a PDF doc (onto Facebook status bar, for example) it pastes with no spaces between words. I.e: "The manhadajugofcoolwaterand offeredmeadrink." How can I fix this? I've searched everywhere for the solution but didn't find anyone had this issue. I'm new to Apple so any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!
I can't speak about this occurring with FaceBook since I don't use FaceBook, but I see the same type of thing when I copy and pasted from websites. It doesn't always happen and I cannot find any particular set of circumstances under which it occurs or does not occur.
I am merely responding to let you know that it happens to me as well and I have seen no way to correct it. I'm not so sure that there is a way to correct in in that it may have something to do with how the original text is formatted in the PDF or on the website and how it eventually "fits" into the text field or the area in which it is pasted. -

I'm new here, so please excuse me if I do or say something I shouldn't.
I need to change the words in a musical score because the font is too small. OCR recognition doesn"t work because there are illustrations that are different from images or text... Is there a way to get in there and make the changes I need to do?

Open the PDF file, tap on the screen to bring up the top bar, tap on the third button from right to bring up the annotations toolbar. Now select the tool you want and start annotating! Hightlight tool is second from left.

Good Morning,
I have to update the item text, which is already in SO and Delivery and I have to use the same item text in Billing Doc also. I went to VOTX and displayed textid and description in change mode.
Text id 0020 and Description GTIN number is there.
The check mark is checked for only order and delivery. How can I check the BillDoc check mark. These check boxes are disabled here. We are using ver 4.6c.

You have to write a code in your SMARTFORM for this.
First you have to read the customer master data from the table KNA1.
Then you have to read from the SD order and invoice, this can be found in table VBPA.

How to edit text in MS Word HEADER using bookmarks?
I've been using the ActiveX calls to edit text in Word docs for a while. I assumed there was no trick to doing it in the header of a Word doc, but there seems to be no way to get into the header via LabView ActiveX calls.
Regretably, Word also makes this tricky. I found these VBA hints:
Bookmark, Go to Bookmark:
(This method does not work with bookmarks in Headers/Footers)

I have been using the first one and I was hoping one of the last three would be simple to implement, but there does not seem to be a way to do any of them via LabView.
I do not have the reports tool kit, but I have seen nothing to indicate that it is possble with that either.
So, is it possible to edit the headed of a MS Word doc?I'm also not happy about word and LabVIEW and I hope that there will be much more improvement with the open document format... right know I have to use a word document template .
However, here is a code I use to fill bookmarks even in the header. I found that somehow the bookmark vanish after manipulation and you have to add it again.

Preview (copy text) results in SQUIGGLES not text for certain PDFs
hi - problem is "copy text and paste from certain PDFs result in squiggles
When i use an online converter service (e.g. http://ebook.online-convert.com/convert-to-pdf) to convert files to PDF, Apple Preview does not work properly.
What happens is, when I view this PDF and highlight the text to copy in Apple Preview (snowleapard 10.6.x), and then paste the text say in an email / text file or word doc ---- i get squiggles NOT text.
However, if I view this same PDF in Adobe Pro, I get text (copy text and paste works)
I can also view this same PDF in my iphone app, Goodreader, and "copy text and paste) to email works e.g. I get text.
Interestingly, if I create the PDF NOT from this online service, but say from Adobe PRO, Apple PReview works (e.g. I copy and paste the text no issue)
is this a known bug of Apple Preview or is there some setting i must change somewhere?
the support/developer dude of the online service keeps telling me its an Apple Preview problem, not a problem of his service.....

We are In process to Implement the Foreign Trade Export/Import in our
company as per our user requirement users need the Invoice List to be
generated for commercial invoice ( VF21). We have configured Invoice
List in our QAS system.
While testing the same ,we found that the Invoice List
number is showing in FBL5N report as Reference to Accounting Document. ( this is disturbing our existing process) please suggest us the best way to achieve this.

Reference document in accounting document depends on copy control settings maintained between delivery - Billing doc @ Header level.
In your case, check the copy control Tx: VTFF between Billing doc - Invoice list doc @ Header level in reference document filed.
maintain reference doc as " current doc / billing doc"- will confirm with the actual value & update the forum.

I have a brand new macbook pro 15" with latest Lion. Can anyone tell me why, when I open word or preview etc that multiple files open?For eg if I open a word doc, the last 1-3 docs that I have worked previously on all open. Can anyone tell me why?
You have a choice as to whether or not applications in Lion like Word or Preview (or even Safari) save and re-open previous documents or windows... just hold down the option key while quitting a program and when you re-open it you won't get the previous documents or windows when you re-open the application. You can see this by selecting the open program in the menu bar and when holding down the option key the quit function will change to quit and discard open windows. This feature in Lion is referred to as "Resume" and is great if you want to restart an app and return to what you're doing (for example in Safari re-opening existing windows and tabs from your previous session). You still have the option to close individual windows within an app before quitting and they will not re-open when the app is launched again.
This Resume function is not related to saving your work (a word or text document for example). This is handled by Lion's "Auto-Save" and "Versions" functions. See http://www.apple.com/ca/macosx/whats-new/auto-save.html

I have the Sales Order transaction type and Item category created and did the item category determination.
Next step is to make the Billing Doc as the follow up doc. I do not know how to do it.
I know copy control for Transactions, item categories and Item Category determination. Do i have to create billing transaction type and item category and do the copy control to link to sales order? if so what is the transaction type for billing?
Can someone explain to me?

Here you link transaction type and item category of that transaction type to billing item category. according to that billing type is determined. link between billing item and type is set under spro>crm>Billing>Define Billing Item Categories
