Corporate license full, after machine upgrade to Windows 7

Hello,
We had a computer upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. (Physicallty it stayed the same)
But we did not deactivate the license before removing XP, how can we deactivate this now?
Have called to local number, have been on the chat but found no way to deal with my problem.
As we have a user that eneds Adobe Illustrator and now can only use a trail of 30 days.
Is there no way to remove the machine from the key, and if so how.

What more do i need to do to get some help, it has been 3 weeks now.
I try to be patient and wait for a response but this is not good as in a few days the trail will run out and the program can not be start anymore.

After OS upgrade to windows 2008 R2 x64 Dispatcher stopped by error

I am facing a problem after OS upgrade (from Windows Server 2003 Standard R2 x64 to Windows Server 2008 Standard R2 x64), Solution Manager 7.0 EhP1 on DB2 v9.7 FP4.
When I start SAP using mmc console after awhile Dispatcher stops.
When I wrote R3trans -dx in CMD:
D:\usr\sap\ASM\DVEBMGS00\exe>r3trans -dx
This is r3trans version 6.14 (release 701 - 19.01.11 - 11:44:00).
unicode enabled version
r3trans finished (0000).

I found an error in dev_w0:

Well unfortunately, do not think its possible to fix it. We once had a similar situation with SAP system on MSSQL on Windows Server 2008. It was only an ABAP system so after a lot of hit and trial we got the system up. And would not get any support from SAP incase of future errors.
But for Solution manager this really would be complex because of the Java part. Do you have the backup before OS upgrade?
Would recommend a restore and migration as supported by SAP.

Issues connecting to License Server after ServerTools upgrade 8.8

Hi
To run a preUpgrade Check I needed to upgrade the ServerTools from 2007 to 8.8.
Since this upgrade I can not connect to the License Server anymore.
Does somebody have an idea what could be wrong? I removed and reinstalled it twice and I do have a new license file.
The upgrader also shows me the COMMON grayed out and I con not run the Check either. I assume this is for the same reason.

Hi Franz,
After upgrading the server tools with the Upgrade Wizard, the License Server is not started automatically. This issue is documented in a SAP Note [1488839|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1488839]. In order to resolve this issue please start License Manager after the upgrade.
The 2nd issue (The upgrader also shows me the COMMON grayed out) is described in SAP Note [1433019|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1433019].
In order to resolve this issue please upgrade your environment either to 8.8 PL10 or to 8.8 PL12.

Will i have to reinstall all factory software after i upgrade to windows 10?

just needed to know if i had to restall the HP software than came on tablet after i upgrade to windows 10? and if i have partitioned another drive on existing drive will it stay as well?

Linking to self-contained plug-ins via a shortcut can be a good way to keep things organized, but be aware of one thing:
Many plug-ins today are not truly self-contained, but actually install additional things like DLL files into the Photoshop installation area itself (something I regard as a bad practice). What this means is even if you are to link to another place from the plug-ins subfolder under the new Photoshop CC (2014) installation area, your plug-ins may not all run properly. If they have an installer, your best approach is to use the installer.

After the upgrade to windows 10, the pre installed B&O Equalizer software is missing. Besides after i installed the audio driver provided by Hp Support , the sound quality and the level are degraded.

My iPhone 4 will no longer back up in iTunes after my upgrade to Windows 7 64bit.

I used to have Windows XP 32bit and everything worked fine.
I upgraded to Windows 7 64bit and installed iTunes 64bit (I've also tried running the installer as administrator [in the compatibility properties]).
iTunes will recognise it with no problems and I can drag and drop anything I want to the iPhone, but I can't back up.
Software versions: iTunes v10.4.0.80, iPhone 4.3.5.
When I try to back up, the loading bar with either:
Have a loading bar with diagonal lines forever or,
it will start moving and freeze.
I've tried leaving the process for hours, but to no avail.
While the back up is being attempted, iTunes still retains full functionality.
I would exit by sliding the bar on my iPhone (iTunes will retain the loading bars as if frozen) and then unplug it. At this point iTunes takes a few seconds to drop the loading bar altogether, and the little screen will reset to normal functionality.
I believe this may be a iTunes-Windows thing as I did the following with my old laptop (Windows XP 32bit):
Installed iTunes for the first time.
Went into preferences and disabled the automatic backup option.
Plugged in the iPhone, right-click "back up".
The back up took less than 5 minutes.
I don't understand why my main PC can't back up my iPhone.
Can anyone help please?
I've tried researching the same problems and I've ended up doing the following:
Reinstalling iTunes,
Tried changing the iTunes installation folder to "Program Files" instead of "Program Files (x86)",
Deleting all contents from: "C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup",
Deleting the apps from my phone in case there are corrupt apps (doesn't make sense though as it backed up fine on my old laptop).
I would appreciate any suggestions!

I have the same issue. Usually hangs after 10K od sometimes after 18MB of backup file.
Config: iTunes 10.4., Win 7 64bit, iPhone 4 with iOS 4.3.3
I tried all of these without success:
- deleted backups via iTunes / Preferences
- deleted backups from sync folder
- created a new admin user and tried to sync
- reinstalled iTunes
- ran all Windows updates, restarted, reinstalled iTunes
- ran iTunes / Diagnostics (says everything okay, only info which is strange: diag says I am not a admin user, which is not correct)
Nothing helped. Who can help. I hope someone from Apple can take care, as I seem not to be the only one. Actually iTunes is the worst part about iPhone. Hope with iOS 5 and Cloud sync to get rid of iTunes.

License Activation After Installation of an Windows 7 Image

I have a volume license installed on a image that I am deploying to machines in my office. After installation of the image on the computer I have to reactive the license. Is this normal procedure of is there someway I can ensure that the license
is activated after deployment so I can skip this step of the setup process?

It is required that license activation occurs on each machine, after Windows is installed on each machine.
Every Windows license is individuated for every machine (a unique CMID is generated).
This is especially important for imaged/cloned machines. Are you using sysprep? Are you performing a rearm prior to image capture?
You can have the activation occur automatically. Are you using MAK or KMS ?

Unable to connect to second Pc (WinXP) after lapop upgrade to Windows 7

I got the free upgrade DVD to Windows 7 Ultimate and installed successfully.
All programs work, able to connect to the internet, no problems.
Home Network (Workgroup) defined and was available via Vista prior to upgrade to Windows 7.
By Available I mean able to see both machines defined in the workgroup from either machine.
After Upgrade Windows 7 does not show the other machine and vis-a-vers-a.
Checked network settings and all appears OK.
Suggestions and advice appreciated.

Mac os x wiki server can't authenticate user password from active directory recently after we upgraded to windows 2008 server.

after upgraded to windows 2008 server, our mac os x wiki server can't authenticate user password anymore. How can I re-bind the wiki server to the AD again? thanks in advance.

Solved it by deleting the user and creating a new one with the same userID.
Maybe it occured because I marked the "user has to change password after first login" box when resetting the password but didn't yet allow him to do so in the webpages menu?!?

After Yosemite upgrade browser windows aren't restored

Hi there,
After my upgrade to Yosemite over the weekend I noticed that Safari sometimes doesn't restore browser windows from last session reliably, e.g sometimes they are restored and sometimes not. I have configured in the preferences "Safari opens with all windows from last session". Has anybody has come across the same flaw?

I tried TeskDisk and from the very beginning it mentioned about being unable to modify my hard disk as below.

Write access for this media is not available.
TestDisk won't be able to modify it.
- No partition from this disk must be mounted:
Open the Disk Utility (In Finder -> Application -> Utility folder)
and press Unmount button for each volume from this disk
- This media may be physically write-protected, check the jumpers.

I tried the Disk Utility but of course I couldn't unmount the Macintosh HD partition while running on it.
Anyway, I still ran TestDisk to see if all partitions would be detected correctly. It seemed good, as captured below.
All the partitions were found. Then I chose MS Data partition, keyed P and Enter to check its filesystem.
The error message was same as described in the step by step guide you sent me.
The I went back and tried Deeper Search.
It run for hours any the analyse sector was strange at the end, something like more than 600,000,000/488,397,167. Sorry I forgot to capture this figure. However, I think Deeper Search is unnecessary if TestDisk can find all partitions.The problem is write access.
Regarding GPT FDisk (gdisk-0.8.10), after installing it I can't find where it is on my computer.
Do you have any recommendation please.

No valid license found after IOS upgrade on C3750x switch

HI,
Two switches below are working fine as a stack with IOS c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE5.bin & ipbase license.
Switch#1 (Master, WS-C3750X-24P-S)
Switch#2 (Member, WS-C3750X-24P-S)
After IOS Upgrade to c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE7.bin, The stack was broken. Switch#2 didn’t recognise valid ipbase license with new IOS and came up with lanbase license instead. Therefore stack cannot be composed due to license mismatch between Switch#1 (ipbase) and switch#2(lanbase).
I’m wondering why Switch#2 didn’t recognise ipbase license with new IOS even though IPASE is running well with previous IOS.
Here is excerpt from “show version” with 15.x image on Switch#2.
License Level: lanbase
License Type: Default. No valid license found.
Next reload license Level: lanbase

I have fixed the issue by configuring 'license boot level ipbase' on the member switch#2. The switch recognised IPBASE license well and joined the stack successfully.

Firefox crashes 2 seconds after startup. This happened after repair upgrade to Windows 7

After repair upgrade Firefox (9.0) would not work. I finally un-installed and re-installed it without success. Following your support guidelines I tried deleting my profile with partial success in that with a new profile Firefox would run once then revert back to an apparent crash after 2 seconds (as seen from task manager). After every new profile created it followed this same routine of working just the once. Any help would be appreciated.

Try a "clean reinstall" of Firefox by removing the Mozilla Firefox installation directory before reinstalling it, as explained in these articles:

After an upgrade to Windows 10, my HP 14-r008tx cannot run Wifi

I had rerserved an upgrade to Windows 10. When the notebook was completely upgraded to the newest Windows, the WIFI connections list which previously ran on Windows 8.1 has now dissappeared. I have visited Windows Forum and tried some suggestions but it still does not work, including uninstalling and reinsalling Ralink driver and modifying registry. Please help.

No. Prior to the upgrade, did you make sure your system had the most recent BIOS installed, and the drivers were up to date?As long as I notice, my PC had been always automatically updated online. Did the system pass the Windows 10 compatibility tests, prior to the Upgrade?Yes. So, I reverted to Windows 8.1 and all have been working well now.

Errors in Unity 4.2(1) after OS upgrade to Windows Server 2003

I upgraded our Unity VM only server to server 2003 and reinstalled Unity 4.2(1) and restored untiy from backup. After the restore there are multiple errors in the Application log. I have engaged two different Cisco TAC people and neither of them could help me in resolving these problems. Makes me lose confidence in Cisco when I can't even get an American based engineer who knows anything about Unity! Hopefully someone here knows something.
Application Log errors below:
CiscoUnity_Notifier - Event ID 1071 and 1023,
Active Server Pages - Event ID 5,
CiscoUnity_ConvSubscriber - Event ID 187,
VBRuntime - Event ID 1,
CiscoUnity_BMsgConnector - Event ID 10005.
DBWalker returns1 error relating to orphaned entries in the GlobalSubscribers table:

These rows have no corresponding GlobalLocation table entry and are likely 'stranded' in the directory from a previous install.

I'll have to look into this a bit more but I can tell you what this essentially means. There are 3 main system accounts that Unity sets up when the application is installed (assuming you integrate with Exchange 2003). You actually specify the location for these objects during the permissions wizard and etc. The 2 accounts here are the primary system account for handling outside calls (Unity_) and the account used for failsafe operations (USbms_) - they are the 2 orphaned entries you see. It appears the location specified for these accounts may have been invalid during the reinstall or there was some other yet to be determined issue at play here that caused these accounts to be orphaned which is not good.
When you installed Win2K3 and then reinstalled Unity, did you set up Unity to the exact version and ES that your last DiRT backup was saved at? Also, did you specify the same OU's and etc when you ran the permissions wizard for where to import objects, create objects, and etc.
Can you attach a copy of the installation log and other application logs? I'll try to look further and see if I can be of more assistance.

Unable to enter MOSS 2007 License Key after SP2 upgrade - trial period about to expire

We are unable to enter the license key as stated in the title. The field does not allow any input. Central Admin shows that our trial period is about to expire very soon.
Our environment is MOSS 2007 (Office Sharepoint Server with Enterprise Client Access License) on Server 2003. SP2 is installed, the August 2011 CU (KB2553020) is installed, and the Microsoft suggested fix for this known problem is also installed (KB971620).
ie. Product expiration date is activated incorrectly. Since those fixes do not work, we are left with the manual entry of the license key. However, that also does not work.
Still, it shows that the trial period is about to expire. Apparently this fix is also included in any of the CU's after June 2009.
We have a valid license key for the Enterprise version and have the Enterprise client licenses as well. The License Synchronizer Job has succeeded.
I have searched the forum and have not seen a answer that resolves this issue.
Does anyone know what to try next ? We are running out of time.

As far as I know, this issue occurs because the installation of the 2007 Microsoft Office SP2 activates the production expiration data incorrectly.
To resolve this issue, please install one of the following updates according to the following links:
