Cost fileds description of table in KEPH

Dear All,
I am developing a query with table KEKO and KEPH for the material cost estimate. I need to run for several materials. CK13N is can be used for only one material.
I am getting Cost estimate No from the table KEKO and passing the value to KEPH for the cost values. but in KEPH table there are 40 cost fields are there from KST001 to KST040.
I need which cost filed is for which category like Purchases, Surchages, direct labour etc.... It would be great if anyone give us the details regarding the same.
Please let me know for any clarification. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Raja.A

Hi,
Based on your cost component strcuture , while running the KSPI ( Activity price calculation ) system allign the cost fields of KEPH table.
Depending on your cost component setting - say you have ticked fixed and variable both then - two field in KEPH get alligned with that cost component - One for total cost and other for fixed cost. This is why if you notice there are 40 cost field in KEPH and in cost component structure maximum you can have 20 cost component.
But allignement of KEPH table field to Cost component get restructured dynamically if you change your cost component sructure and do the KSPI.
If you want to see your existing allignment , if in all your cost component allows fixed and variable , then straight away you can assume cost field 1 and  cost field 2 for your first cost component .. and cost feild 3 and cost field 4 for your second cost component. Cost field 1 for total of that cost component and cost field 2 for fixed cost of that cost component.
I hope this explain you the structure. Please let me know if you need more information.

    Dear Experts,
How to find Cost of Goods sold components of CK13N values with respective  cost element in Table
    kindly provide valuable suggestion
    With regards,
    Ganesh

    Ganesh,
you will get the cost estimate results from KEKO and KEPH tables.
In the standard cost scenario COGM and COGS values are same.
when yo see the cost component view in the CK13N it will match with cost fields in the KEPH.
pass the material and plant in KEKO table from there take cost estimate number, now pass this cost estimate number in KEPH table as per your cost components in each cost fields you will get the details.
Please let me know if you need any further help.

  • Cost element description now showing in Report painter

    Hi,
I selected to display KEY and DESCRIPTION in the report layout settings for a report painter however the report is displaying only the cost element number and not the description in the rows.
In this case, how to display the cost element description in the report painter rows?

    Hi,
ensure that KEY + DESCRIPTION is selected in the layout settings. Description will only appear if it is maintained in the logon-language (means if your logon language is EN but cost element texts are not maintained in EN no descripiton can be seen).

  • Cost center description to AR01

Is there a way to bring in the cost center description to the AR01 Asset balances report.

    Hi,
    Please study the below thread
[Re: Asset Report by Location wise with address & other details]
In the above thread i have replied to one of our SDNer, about how to add additional fields to asset report.
While adding those fields, add field KOSTL too, so that you will get the cost center key field in the report outpur byusing the same sort version.
So by adding the cost center field you will get the description of the cost center also, while doing change layout, in avaialble fields list, you will find an field <without name>, so place this field next your cost center field.
    This will fix your issue.
*Imp Note: while creating the above sort version, the field KOSTL should be the last field in the sort version config*
    Thanks,

  • Cost Center description in FB50 Transaction

    Dear All,
We have requirement that in Transaction FB50 we need the Description of the cost center also similar to that of GL account.
While any GL is entered the Short text of the GL is automatically displayed.
    Please help.
    Thanks.
    Sunil.

    Hi,
It is possible by adding cost center text field in FB50 transaction. You please ask your ABAP'er to add the cost center text field which is available in KS01 in FB50. So that you can view the cost center description.

  • Get description of tables and columns

    Good afternoon.
Is there any option in SAP B1 to get a description of table and column dynamically? That is, without the "Tools -> Queries -> Query Generator"?
I am developing an add-on, which lists all the tables and columns of the sap, and I have to bring the descriptions automatically. If you do not have to get the SDK route descriptions, as you suggest doing this?
Edited by: Harley Rodrigues on Feb 1, 2012 9:38 PM

    Hi Harley,
    Welcome to the Forum!
please refer to your SDK Help. you can find it from this path C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One SDK\Help
also alternatively you can view it from your MS SQL Server Management under Databases

  • Display GL/cost center description in account assignment tab in PR and PO.

My user wants to display GL and cost center description in account assignment tab of PO and PR? How can we do this?

    Hi
Someone added same kind of stuff in the net
We have done the following to display GL account text in ME51N & ME21N
We registered the SAP Object: R3TR FUGR MEACCTVI for our SAP Release: 701.
    - In SE51, we added the field text_sakto to screen 1100 (Single Account Assignment) in program SAPLMEACCTVI.
    - Via SE80, we added the following code to the flow logic of screen 1100 under PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT: MODULE fill_text_sakto in the function group MEACCTVI.
    - Within the MODULE fill_text_sakto we added the following code:
    FORM FILL_TEXT_SAKTO .
    SELECT SINGLE txt20 INTO text_sakto
    FROM skat
    WHERE spras eq sy-langu
    AND saknr eq MEACCT1100-SAKTO.
    ENDFORM.

  • Mass update of cost element description - edit a table

    Hi Folks,
i would like to know wich is the best way to update thousand of description of cost element!
this is due to the fact that i have 4 differents languages to manage....so every time it's necessary to enter them in 4 languages, but the problem was that nobody have done like this, so now i have discrepancy at description level and i want to update...quickly.
i was thinking about table editing in CSKA i know it's not the right way to procede but it's only description and i don't want to spent time in making catt....
In any case i would know wich is the command to edit  a table, for my knowledge.
    Thanks

    Hi,
To edit a table type &sap_edit in the transaction window, while being in SE16N and entering the table. However, the right table for texts is CSKU and not CSKA.
Alternatively, you can do mass creation of cost elements 4 times while log-on in different table (OKB2 and OKB3 transactions).

  • Cost Centre Description in Multiple Language

    Hi,
Can we able to maintain Cost Center Discription in Multiple Language like GL Description ( in FS00-- Keyword/Translation).
If can, can you guide how we can do same.
    Regard,
    Venkat

    Hi,
    I understand...
As far as I'm aware, there is no such a possibility. In order to maintain the description in different languages, you will have to simply logon in different language and create a description. The other way, is to update directly the CSKT table.

Programatically yes it is possible , we can copy the standard programs and may add new columns ,but which will be a Lengthy work .
    Thanks in advance .
    Regards,
    Kishore.S

    Hi
Refer to SAP Note 174413. This should be of help to you in form of a very minor enhancement
To include customer-specific fields, proceed as follows.
    1. Include structure CI_COBL, which contains the customer fields, as an Include in structure ACGL_ITEM.
Attention: If you have maintained foreign key dependencies for your customer fields, then copy structure CI_COBL into structure CI_ACGL and include it in structure ACGL_ITEM instead of structure CI_COBL. Adjust the foreign key checks in structure CI_ACGL so that you ony use fields of structure ACGL_ITEM as foreign key fields.
    2. Place the customer fields on screen SAPLFSKB 0100 (Transaction SE51).
    3. Enter '001' in Mod. group 4 for the added customer fields in the element list of the screen, and in Mod. group 1 fill the value from TCOBF-GROUP1 of the respective field.
    4. Transfer the fields to the flow logic of this screen. For every field, insert a FIELD statement between each of the two CHAIN/ENDCHAIN statements.
    5. In routine MOVE_ACGL_ITEM in Include LFSKBF01, insert a statement such as ACGL_ITEM-ZFIELD = *ACGL_ITEM-ZFIELD for every customer field (example ZFIELD).
    6. Generate or activate all objects.
    7. To take the new fields in the entry variants into account, choose 'Create entry variant' via the menu. You can then take the customer fields into account when creating the new entry variant.
To include SAP standard fields that exist in structure ACGL_ITEM, proceed as follows:
Increase the number of columns of screen SAPLFSKB-0100 or switch visible fields you do not need to invisible. Afterwards, copy the fields that you require from the Data Dictionary (structure ACGL_ITEM).
As described above, execute points 4-7 for the fields that you supplemented, and use the modification groups as described in point 3.
For technical reasons, fields of ACGL_ITEM for local currency amounts cannot be copied to the table control.
