CProjects: Download to MS Project

Hi,
I am trying to download a cprojects-project to ms project. One phase of my cprojects-project has a fixed start dart ("must start on"). But if exporting to ms project the fixed date is not mapped to ms project. Instead the second phase starts right after the first phase.
e.g.
cProjects:
project definition   start date 02.10.2007    end date 27.10.2007 (not constraint)
phase 1               start date 02.10.2007    end date 10.10.2007 (no constraint)
phase 2         must start on 20.10.2007     end date 27.10.2007 (start constraint)
download to ms project:
project definition   start date 02.10.2007    end date 27.10.2007
phase 1               start date 02.10.2007    end date 10.10.2007
phase 2               start date <b>11.10.2007   </b> end date 18.10.2007
In the IMG-Activity I maintained the following mapping:

I maintained the mapping of the constrain type but that doesn't help.
System: cpro 4.0, support package 10 (netweaver2004s)

Hi,
I solved my problem.
The following mapping ist needed (to map the contraint type for the start date):
CONSTRAINT_TYPE PTCP Task (cProjects)CONSTRAINT_TYPE
The following mapping ist needed (to map the contraint type for the finish date):
CONSTRAINT_TYPE PTCP Task (cProjects)CONSTRAINT_TYPE_FIN
Maintain the same mapping all other project element (e.g. phase). If you are using summary tasks the fixed dates maintained for phase are not mapped to ms project (althought you defined the mapping for the phase). The fixed dates are then aggregated to the phase.
Now the contraint types are mapped to MS Project.
But there is still another problem. MS Project has only the possibilty to maintain a contraint type for start date OR finish date!!!!! Therefore you have to decide which ones you want to map to MS Project.

to attach a close button you need to import
mx.events.CloseEvent and then you need to
_window.showCloseButton = true
and lastly you need to setup a listener
_window.addEventListener(CloseEvent.CLOSE, closeHandler)

Where are the downloaded files? Project is not showing up in the programs area of Windows 8.1

I downloaded the Project files. Now it doesn't show up in the programs area. What happened to it? The files did download completely - it took a while! Assistance is greatly appreciated!

The default location for download in Windows 8.1 is the DOwnloads library, unless you changed it. from start screen, type downloads and see if you can find your files there. You will only see it in programs, after you have INSTALLED it.

CProject integration with MS Project

Hi,
Bascially can we upload MPP file directly to cProjects, if so what are the settings that we need to do.Do you have any documents which provide this information.
Normally i heard that MPP files gets converted into XML and this file is generally upload and direct upload from MPP file is not supported, is this correct.

now if he uploads same MSProject to cProject , it will result in simulation version
can we bypass this simulation version and update directly to operational version.

Automatic assingment of Cprojects to SAP PS project

Hi all,
I am using Cprojects 4.0 and is installed as add on on ECC6.0. I have created a projects in Cproject and wnat to replicate it into SAP PS. I have done all necessary customizations required for account integration and in project type and in controlling scenario.
When I am going to accounting tab in cproject , I can see the tab for assing PS project and Assing WBS element. But when I click on Assign PS project, the projects is not getting assing automatically. I cannot see any project in below space.
The scenario is for automatic assignment. Please help

I am a little unclear about your questin.
As far as I understood, you use the automactic assignment, that mean, the PS project & wbs elementen are created automatically. After it runs successfully, you shoud see the assignment between cProject object & PS objects. But why do you carry out action 'click of assign PS project', this action is only relevant for manuall assignment.

Error downloading Trial version Project Professional IT x86

When I try to download the italian trial version from here http://technet.microsoft.com/it-it/evalcenter/hh973401.aspx the download doesn't start. No problem when I try to download another language version (ex. US version) but there is an error when
the applet on the right of the page should show the status downloading bar.
It's the same for different workstation (Win xp, 7, smartphone) and different browsers.
How can I download the Project Professional Italian Trial version?

CProjects - Unable to close project

Hello,
I encounter a problem in cProjects 4:
I have a cancelled task which prevents me from closing the related project. In fact, when i try to close the project, i got a message telling me that this task as to be closed before...
Does anyone have any idea of how i can solve this ?
Any advice would be welcomed.

First of all, thank you for your help.
Yes i meant "completed" but the problem is i'm not able to complete anything at all at levels higher than my task.
When i tried to complete the ITO above my TTO i got an error. As i thought i needed to complete all ITOs before beeing able to close my CTO , PPO, DPO, i thought i won't be able to close the project.
But, i realized that i can complete the CTO without changing the task or the item status which solved my problem.

We are in the process of impmenting SAP Suite in our organization. I am trying to promote the use of xRPM and cProjects during the impmentation. The main reason is that we are looking for a sloution for our core activities which is related to development project fianiancing. The use of xRPM and cProjetcs will give a good chance whether this sloution is suitable for us. The other reason is to enforce good project managment discpline by utlizing cProjects stage-gate concept.
I wish to hrear from others on thier expricne of using cProects in IT projects, speciaclly for SAP realted projects.

CProjects-Bapi's for project and task details

Hello,
I am searching for bapis for cProjects to use in a report at back end which has all the project fields and task fields.
For project i found a bapi BAPI_BUS2172_GET_DETAIL, but it does not have fields like project name,status, calculated start and finish date from teh basic data tab, division,design center from teh additional data tab.
For task fields i found bapi BAPI_BUS2175_GET_DETAIL but it does not have task status, latest start and finish date of the basic data tab.
any pointers to bapis which cover all the above fields would be really helpful.
Also I want to know is there anyway i can get the URL of the document that is uploaded in teh documents tab of the task.

Hi Simmi,
Some information can not be retrieved via Bapi call. If you would like to read it, you can use simple select to get it from DB directly. The related DB are cgpl_project (dates), cgpl_text (descritption), and crm_jest (for status).

Roadmap download to MS Project after SP15

After applying SP15 I can no longer download our customer defined roadmap to MS Project _ anyone know what could be the problem ? I am running SAPgui 6.20, could that be it ?

Minimum requirement for NW04s is SAPLOGON 640.

PPM 5.0: Assign cProjects New Status to Project Mngt business transaction?

In SPRO -> Project Management -> Basic settings -> Create/Change Status Profile for User Status, I created my own status profile and assigned them to object types.
Now, for status synchronisation, i need to map Project / Initiative Business Transaction to DFM Business Transaction
( SPRO -> Portfolio and Project Management -> Portfolio Management ->Base System Interfaces -> Decision Flow Management Settings -> Status Synchronization -> Map Project / Initiative Business Transaction to DFM Business Transaction)
My question is :
How can I create my own Project Management business transactions?
if is not possible, how can i assign the standard ones (DX01, DX02, etc) to my own status (ZST1, ZST2, etc) ?

Try with following settings if you have not done:
1) In define project type, for for accounting integration , select scenario as: Accounting integration in my SAPERP and type of transfer as : Always Automatic when saving
2) For Define object link for object type , define proxy class for WBS element and Project definition(PS)
Also define RFC for Single object Controlling on WBS element in Object types for object links.
3) For Accounting integration in Make general settings, for your project type select frame09 for your object type single object controlling on Internal order
4) Define CO scenario CPR2 with Strategy sequence as SAP040 in period end closing, costing sheet as standard and Costing variant as PC02(Internal Order)
5) In CO scanrio maintenance view, for your project type select contolling method as Internal Order( Project Definition, Automatic)
With these settings I am able to create a PS project from cProject when I save a cProject.
