Cracked iPhone 4, weird situation. Help PLEASE!?

I have a very unusual situation with my iPhone 4 and I guess I just want someone else's view on it.
I was in my living skills class at school and we were making food. While we were waiting for it to come out of the oven, my phone being completely fine before, I set it on the table and was talking to some of my friends and looking at a video on another friends phone. I turned back to grab my phone and check it and it was cracked at the VERY middle at the top and is cracked to the ear speaker and branches off around it, luckily not on the camera. I have no idea how it happened and my friends were all really confused also because not one of us including me had touched it. We think someone could have walked by and hit it or done something to it. But we all have NO idea what happened so really it could have been anything. I don't know what to tell the apple store, I'm going to a mall near Seattle this weekend and ANY help or advice for my situation would mean a lot. Please.

About 9 months ago, the glass BACK of my iPhone 4 broke after I sat on it in bed. I took it in to an Apple store, and they fixed it for free right then and there, without an appointment. But they told me that if the front screen is ever broken, it cannot be repaired, because Apple builds the phone on top if the screen, and there is no way to pry it off and glue it back on again. Good luck.

Contact whomever it was purchased from and request the Apple ID and password that is setup on the device or have them remove the device from their iCloud account.
Otherwise, return the device if possible.
There is no way to bypass the Apple ID activation lock.

If you can't restore from your backup you could try 3rd party software such as iPhone Backup Extractor to see if you could extract your notes from the backup.

Serious situation help please

Guys, it's a terrible situation.. my sister had an iphone 4 before she passed away and after 5days i found it, i dont know her apple id or password to activate it but i believe that the phone has some memories,pictures of her - is it anyway possible to activate it ? I would really appreciate any advice/help and sorry for my bad english.

Please do not get so much worried. Get a third party apps from internet ( that is itunes alternative, any software other than itunes will not ask for any APPLE ID or PASSWORD) , that will help you to keep PHOTOS, VIDEOS & OTHERS that were kept in that iPhone. And then try to RESTORE.
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

Make sure you have the Current Version of iTunes Installed on your computer
iTunes free download from www.itunes.com/download
After RESTORING you are then able to have an activated device.

Hi - if the cable fits tightly at each end then it sounds like you have a defective cable - it is still under warranty so I would start by contacting Apple and see what they say - go to - http://www.apple.com/support/contact/ - when you do get a new cable, be sure to let the phone charge for several hours before you turn it on because it does not work directly from the charger.

IPHONE 3G RESTORE MODE HELP PLEASE

I can't restore my IPHONE 3G 8G is it STUCK IN APPLE LOGO i don't know what firmware i had on it..ITUNES it will recognize it just in DFU MODE i will tell you what i had tryed so far to fix this.

Sounds stoped working on my iphone 5s including ringer help please!

My Iphone 5s's sounds randomly stoped working. I can play music or the ringtone if i'm testing them but it won't ring on incomming calls no lock screen sound, keyboard sounds etc or any sounds related to apps either.
I'm gone though and made sure evyething was inabled/disabled (i think) so short of going to a store is ther eanythign i can do to fix this? Any help appreciated please 'cause i'm going nuts! Thank you!

ITunes-iPhone music syncing issue, HELP PLEASE!

Hi, after having some hardware issues with my iPhone 5, Apple replaced it with a new one.
I restored everything from my iCloud backup with no problem and it downloaded all of my iTunes Store songs on the phone without any issues and as I plugged my phone into my 2010 MacBook Pro to put some new songs to it from a CD I just bought, ALL of the songs that I have on my phone that I bought from the iTunes Store were duplicated as grey 'ready to sync' songs. But they were not syncing. So I deleted all music and videos from my phone (by the way, I always use the Manually manage songs and videos function in all my devices, never did auto-sync) thinking maybe if i drag everything from my computer it'll change, but it won't! Whenever I click on 'sync', the grey songs appear. And the grey songs are only the songs that were bought from the iTunes Store and the songs I used to have on the other iPhone, that are in the iCloud backup. I've tried almost eveything for the past 3 days and finally gave up and decided to ask for help. If anyone can help me i'll be extremely grateful, thanks.

Im unable to assist you with the mac/mail side of the house. If you had outlook then I could assist. My thougts would be...With your phone plugged into iTunes, go to the second tab and confirm that you have contacts checked to sync between your computer/phone...if you don't then it will just transfer all your 0's and 1's to digi land. Contacts and calenders sync with your calender software, iTunes is just the conduit to get it there. I would also recommend that when you get your contacts back on your computer that you create a backup file in case this happens again, then you can just restore it. Hope this all helps.

Jammed lock button and cracked screen!!! HELP PLEASE!!!

About three months after I bought my Ipod touch it fell off of my bed and cracked the screen entirely. I took it to Apple store and they said they couldn't replace it because it had no damage to the board and that it would cost $100 so I said screw it I can still read the screen. NOW I recently realized my lock/power button is jammed out of no where! I tried wiggling it with my nails, tapping it on the counter, and everything I could think of. I still have my warranty for another month or two. Can I get it replaced without charge? or what do I do? I really don't want to spend $100 bucks on this Ipod when every time I turn around something else happens. HELP please

Apple only exchanges the iPod for a refurbished one. Accidental damage like the broken screen voids the warranty on the entire iPod.

Connecting Problems with iPhone and iTunes. Help please?

When I connect my iPhone 4 to my laptop (Toshiba), I have a huge issue with connecting and syncing my phone on iTunes. During the time it is plugged and attached to my laptop, I can charge it and sync photos that are on my device to the compter, but I can not get it to sync with iTunes. Also, I do not know what my iTunes is fuctioning at (6.1- 7.1- 8.etc), but I did updated it about a month ago. Does anyone have any information and /or/ helpful advice on this topic?

Rom UK to South IPhone 3GS Synching Problems - HELP PLEASE

Hey, I need help.
Every time I connect my iphone to my HP laptop, it says it can't read the iphone and wants to restore the software.
I go through this route, and it sometimes allows me to synch my contacts, but I have no joy with apps or music. This iPhone has worked perfectly with this PC previously.
I am now running the latest iTunes software and also iOS4 on my iPhone and still no success.
I get a message saying that an iPhone has previously been synched with this PC, which is true, as it is my one and only iPhone.
As an aside, but may be related, I recently moved from UK to South Africa, and had my iPhone unlocked by o2 in the UK and now work from a Vodacom sim card.
I've taken my iPhone and laptop into a local Apple store, and whilst it appeared to work in the shop, as these things always do, when I got home, reconnected, I got the same problem and has to restore my iPhone completely.
Can anyone possibly help.
I feel I need to get my iTunes to recognise that this is the iPhone thats been synched with it in the past.
Other random error messages I get are things like, "cannot sync as item is a folder rather than a file"

Welcome to the club. This is a problem that has surfaced with OS 3.0.1 and continues into 3.1. All 3rd party apps crash at startup on iPhone 3g and 3gs. OS 3.0 didn't behave this way and Apple apparently has no comment to make on the matter.
