Created application not available...

Hi to all,
I've installed SAP BPC,..I've followed to the post installation steps, and the only things weird is that I don't see the newly application that I've created in the list of the available applications when accessing through Microsoft Office (I see Finance, Legal, ecc...but not mine).
Any idea why?

Hi,
This happens when the member access profile is not maintained for an application. You can go to Admin and open your member access profile. You will find tabs for each of the application. You can refer to the existing applications and do the same for the newly created application. Then go to excel, click on connection wizard and login.

User defined Applications not available

Dear gurus,
I'm new to BPC for MS, and my problem is that I have created new applications (copy of existing ones and some modifications) within a new set of applications.
When I try to select one of this new applications on BPC for Excel, they are not available for me, after I select my set of applications.
Do I need to do something after create this applications? I just followed SAP configuration guide "Business Planning and Consolidation - Administration", and the result was applications not available.

Hi,
Go to Member access profile under security.Here you will see your newly created Application.Selection this application and assign
it to users and groups.Now go to connection wizard.In drop down box for Application you will be able to see your application.Login using this application.

"Application not available" page

We have a need to display an "application not available" page when a person navigates to the site outside the normal hours of operations.
One way to do this is to have the index.html route to a JSF page which checks the time, then either redirects to the application, or if outside of operating hours displays the "not available" message.
Is there a way that this can be solved with the faces-config.xml file? I would like to move this logic out of the page.

Two options came up:
- servlet filter
- a rule in the apache web server

"Application not available" for every application ...

I'm hoping this is an easy one...
I have a Lumia 710 with the latest software. I reinstalled the OS on my laptop, and reinstalled Zune. I connected my Lumia and change the sync partnership type from Guest and everything looked OK.
Since then, when I connect to the App Marketplace and irrespective of what application I select, I get the message "Application not available. This might be because your phone software needs to be updated..." message.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

If you go to Microsoft store on your PC and you sign in with your Microsoft account you should be able to select apps and install them to the phone without the need of Zune. If this works and you can also install apps directly on your phone I'd contact Microsoft Store Support for further assistance.

Applications not available

I am searching for several apps via my phone app world but the search result does not display them.Yet when i search via a PC on App world (not via the phone) the apps are there?
I then send the link to my phone to try and install the apps but get the message "application not available on your device or for your carrier". The phone is less than 1week old. surely the app search should bring up all apps on App world and where the app states available for for all devices and all carriers it should work?
my carrier says it's not the phone and it's because its new - can someone clarify this as correct or should i just request a new phone?

Well here are a few options.
Torch has 360 x 480, 9700 has 480 x 360 pixels, 8900 has 480 x 360 pixels, 9000 has 480 x 320 pixels.
I wouldnt recommend an iPhone (I deal with them all day) unless you jailbreak it.

Error importing new version of our app "Application not available for edit"

Hi,
We are trying to import an app and get the error: Application not available for edit
thats it on a clean white background - Application not available for edit shows up at the top left corner of the screen.
Any clues?
We tried a new id, tried a custom id.
Then we tried deleting the existing app so we could insert the new app.
We can't delete either.
Help!

I'm going to hijack this thread and ask a follow up question to Scott (or whoever reads this).
When we export our application out of DEV it gets exported as Run + Build. When I have the DBA import into test or production on the Import screen I have them set it to Run Only and Reuse the Application ID. After installing it just forwards you to the same white screen with the "Application not available for edit" message on it. Now I understand the actual message since its Run Only, but its not clear that the import actually worked correctly or not.
So although it does seem to import correctly, they always get nervous when they see this that it didnt import correctly. So is it better to have them import as Run + Build and then go change the build status through the admin front end rather than the way I'm doing it now?

Why are certains applications not available in South African App Store?

Why are certain applications such as Google Earth, Google Mobile App, and most games not available in the South African App Store.
We speak English so localisation should not be a problem.
I'm sure there are no legal reasons why these applications are not available here, as we have desktop equivalents for most of them.
Why does South Africa have to have a diminished iPhone experience?

No idea.
You would have to ask Apple and/or the company that makes the app and/or - most likely - the Government of your country.
I'm sure Apple and the app developer would love to sell more apps.
Since this is a user forum, made up of iphone users, like you - there is nothing we can do about it.

I'm an iPad user from South Africa why are 99 present of applications not available here if u want to download something it's not available why do apple sell their product in SA if we can't use anything there is no game on FB I can play I'm very upset

Applications not available to sync

Hello Everyone !!
I have about 50 applications which I bought in the AppStore - some using iTunes and some using the iPhone's AppStore. I see all of them in my Library under the applications link. But when I connect my iphone, it shows up in iTunes but in the applications TAB only 15 or so are available to sync up. Why are all the applications not showing up in the application tab of the iphone ?
Any ideas ??

Source application not available - Acrobat 7.0 Pro after reader 9 update

I updated reader to 9.0 and now my Pro 7.0 is showing "installaion source for this product is not available" . It shows this when I try to open the program, uninstall, reinstall with cd. Help.

With Acrobat 7.x you ought to be able to have Adobe Reader 7.x.
I have been able to have the same version Adobe Reader/Acrobat Pro on local machines.
Each occurance has been/ is faithfully maintained updated.

There is likely something in the inner swirl of dancing "1's" & "0's" that will cause a stumble.
Either it's happened and I've not noticed or I've not yet encountered it. A and a knock on the wood between my ears .
At one time, for a specific task, I had Acrobat 5.x "Full" and Acrobat 7.x Pro on a laptop.
While I was able to accomplish the specific tasks needed, I noted that integration with the installed Office suite took a hit.
You may want to obtain the Windows cleanup uninstaller.
It has been referenced here in other posts.
You may need to use it.

Web dynpro application not available when running iview wizard

When I run the iview wizard to create a web dynpro iview I find the folder local/<MyProjectName.
But when opening myProjectName folder the Application is missing, so I cannot create the iview.
When running the web dynpro Content Administrator I find the application in the ProjectName folder, but when I try to run it I get the exception:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.repository.utils.RepositoryException: Did not find application 'MyTestApplication' in repository.
What could be the issue?

Profitability and Cost management application not available in workspace

Hi All,
I hope somebody in this forum can help me with this.
i have built a profitability and cost management application in workspace . I have validated and deployed it sucessuflly. But when i try to open the application , i am not able to see the profitability section in the open Menu or Navigate menu of workspace.
Can somebody tell what could be the cause for this?
Some Information:
I deployed one application with "Default application group" one with "Profitabilty and Cost Management"
I created the Profitabiilty and Cost Management application Group seperately in Shared Services.

Hi Abishek,
The issue got solved after accepting the workspace server settings. Intially it didnt show me the Profitability module on the Edit mode, but when i clicked ok ( i mean accepting) it came though. Not sure how it has happened.
But it is working now.

Newly created domain not available in current model?

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is a bug or feature.
I have a domain file MarketingDomain. This was copied from the defaultsdomain.xml and renamed. Also changed the name inside the file.
Steps:
Open Domains Administration - select current model
Select MarketingDomain.xml file as Domain File (In Choose Domain )
Add - create domain and Apply
Save
Exit domain administration
Open entity attributes
Then I can not find the domain in the list unless I import MarketingDomain.xml to the model.
The funny issue is if I create a new domain and not select any domain file in administration. Add domain and just select MarketingDomain under Domain Properties. This domain is instantly available in the model.
So there is a different behaviour when setting the domains file under "Choose Domain" or under Domain Properties after you click Add domain.
I'm using a Mac. Info:

I think I get what you are saying but it's confusing until you learn it the hard way.
The Choose Domains file is only to administer domains not in the current/selected Model.
The Domains File drop down in Domain Property is used to add domains to current/selected model.
This is very strange behaviour and not a good flow. To create a new model and a new domains file:
Create model
Create a domain file in Administer Domains with some domains (These will not be visible in current model yet).
Import this new domain file to the model
From now on I can add domains by choosing the correct domain file in the dropdown

Application not available

Hi
I created a planning application using application wizard (OEPM System 11). Everything went on succesfully and the application was created but when i try to login to Planning web client it doesnt show any applications listed. Where as when i use Workspace and access the application it works. I Have registered the application with shared services but still it doesnt list the application. Please help me with this. Is there i have to do with PlanningSystemDB.properties file coz in the PlanningSystemDB.properties file the instance is left blank.

Ahhh, that might be it then.
The application you created may be against a cluster that is not active.
So you in the configurator you can go to Manage Clusters again and select Activate cluster, activate the cluster you created the planning application against (when you create a planning application it picks default unless you change it) . So if you are not sure you will have to activate one and test, if it didnt work activate the other cluster and test.
You may need to restart planning though maybe not.

New application not available to other users

My iMac is set up with a separate user account for each family member. My wife has admin priveleges, my daughter's is a general account and my son's is restricted (i.e. kid friendly).
I just installed Rosetta Stone v3 from within my account. I confirmed that it runs properly; the installation was successful. My next step was to check that my family could use the program. Within my wife's account I got the following message: Fatal Application Error 5118. Naturally, my first thought was Permissions. I went back to my account and set the group Everyone to have read/write permissions and set the third menu (Others? Guests? I forget what it's called...) to read/write too. Back to my wife's account; Error 5118. I looked in the Get Info window to confirm the changes took place and they had. I restarted the machine, checked Get Info again (still read/write for everyone) and once again got Error 5118.
I've called Rosetta Stone. Of course they're not Mac-saavy, but they indicate Error 5118 is a permissions conflict.
My question(s): is there any way to ensure that applications I install are available to all users? Do I have to log in as Root (something I HATE doing) to install new applications?

Problem Solved! Although I had set the privileges for the application, the problem was in HD>Library>Application Support>Rosetta Stone. By setting that folder and its enclosed folders to read/write for everyone, the fix was in.
It's too bad that I had to do any of this. The installer should have adopted the permissions from the folders it installed into. Grrrr.
BTW, the error message was a Rosetta Stone message, not a Mac OSX message; I didn't make that clear before.
