Creating a spool for more elements on screen, among others an alv_tree

Hi everyone,
The output of my program consist of an alv_tree and other elements (dynpro-fields).
I would like to generate a spool which contains the alv_tree and those other elements.
Is it possible to do that?

No.
Either you print a copy of screen (but part of the tree not on the screen will not be printed)
Either you print the tree, then you will not have other fields
Solution: put an ALV header and put the fields in it (and not on screen, outside of ALV control)

Creating 1 spool for every 1000 sapscripts

Hi Friends ,
I have a program where i am printing W-2 forms (sapscripts) . There are a total of 3000 forms . I need to be able to split them into 3 spools of 1000 each instead of creating 3000 spools . Please advise as to wat parameters need to be set in the beginning and when starting a new set of spool with 1000 forms .

You need to count the records and then for every 1000 you have to make a new SPOOL..
LIke:
LOOP AT ITAB.
CNT = CNT + 1.
ITCPO-TDNEWID = ' '.
IF CNT = 1.
ITCPO-TDNEWID = 'X'.
ENDIF.
OPEN_FORM
wtih OPTIONS = ITCPO.
WRITE_FORM
CLOSE_FORM

The same reason that Apple and 3rd Party vendors put multi-size templates in one file I expect. I am trying to construct an in-house standard template for use in our company, and it is easier to manage if there is only one file to send to people rather than many - both initially and for subsequent edits / updates to the template.
Of course it would be possible to create several templates (one for each size). But since it is clear that templates can be combined, it appears sensible to do this - unless the doing of it is horridly complicated

How to create the request for change of selection text into other language.

In my object requirement is that when login through Japanese language, then on selection screen selection text should appear in Japanese language. For that I have maintained the text in Japanese language the program where we define the selection text there from translation I have maintained the text in Japanese but while maintain the text it didn't ask me for REQUEST, because of that I am not able to transport the changes to next system, so I want know how to create the request for this case.

You could goto the selection screen texts by goto-> selection texts,
Then you could again goto -> Translation
or
Other-> Translation(Not sure )
Then double click on the Program you should be able to see the Texts that need translation, now change something save and come back and try to activate, now it should propose for a new Transport Request.
Either create a new transaport request or give one that you have given for the program.
Hope the issue is resolved.

Creating a Validation for WBS Element in the Asset Master Record

I would like to know how to create a validation in the AMR for the WBS Element field. I would like to have a particular Business Area when used be required to only use a WBS element that starts with, let's say, AL. Can someone shed some light on how I would set up my check in OACV?

You can validate or substitute data directly at the input stage. You make the settings for validation and substitution in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Controlling, under Controlling General ® Account Assignment Logic ® Define Validation or Define Substitution
Substitution and validation are only intended for actual postings
For a complete description of validation and substitution, see the SAP Library under Accounting - FI Financial Accounting ® Special ledger ® Tools ® Validation and Substitution Rules
Coordinate with ABAPer and make settings.

Creating Scatter chart for more than one column

Hi,
I have 2 columns of sorted numbers, when I select one column at a time and create a Scatter type chart, every thing is OK,
But I want a chart with both columns in it, and when I select both columns and select a Scatter chart, Numbers takes the Group1 column as X axis and Group2 column as Y axis and draws me this chart whiich is not what I want!
When I try this type of chart the chart is something like I want, but not with connected lines.
How can I draw a Scatter chart with 2 columns of data in one chart?

Thanks Jerrold, The problem was the first column, on the left of Group1. that column should not be as header. I created another table like this and the Share X Values command worked like a charm. I really don't know why!?

Create spool for background jobs which uses submit statement

Hi Gurus,
             I have a quick question regarding the backgroud jobs. When we run a program in the background , it should create a spool for us, but, the problem comes when I am running a program in the background, its not creating the spool. This program uses SUBMIT statement. This program collects the data and it will submit to the other program and then retuen. In this case, its not creating a spool. Its very important for us to look at the spool for this program. Does anybody cam across this kind of problem? I need ur inputs.

Creating SQL-Loader script for more than one table at a time

Hi,
I am using OMWB 2.0.2.0.0 with Oracle 8.1.7 and Sybase 11.9.
It looks like I can create SQL-Loader scripts for all the tables
or for one table at a time. If I want to create SQL-Loader
scripts for 5-6 tables, I have to either create script for all
the tables and then delete the unwanted tables or create the
scripts for one table at a time and then merge them.
Is there a simple way to create migration scripts for more than
one but not all tables at a time?

No there is no multi-select for creating SQL-Loader scripts.
You can either create them separately or create them all and
then discard the one you do not need.

I created single ear for more than 30 different ejb projects
while deploying WAS giving error as follows;
Caught exception during application deployment from SAP J2EE Engine's deploy service:

Hi,
I think this means that there is an object for your application properties with a size that exceeds the maximum size of the database field.
This is probably caused by the concatenation of all your properties of all your apps in the ear.
To solve this problem you can merge some applications to limit the amount of properties saved in the db.
A second solution could be to use different ear-files instead of 1 for all applications.
The third option is to find out how PROPS_STR_STR:ApplicationProperties is build up. Then you can limit the size of these properties.
