Creating Web Dynpro Adaptive Service Model For BW/BI Service.
Environment is BW 3.5 and Netweaver O4s SP12
I would like to create a Web Dynpro Adaptive Service Model based on BW Service.
Can this be done or is XMLA required? If I use XMLA I would like to know how this could be converted into a suitable model object to incorporate the results in Web Dynpro?
Thanks.
Even I faced the same problem , while running the project it was failing , the error was

Create adaptive web service model for a web dynpro project
I have been trying to create a new new adaptive web service model for a web dynpro project.I am using the URL of the wsdl file to create the model. I have copied the url link of the wsdl from the overview tab of the web services navigator. The web service works fine when tested through the Netweaver Navigator. This web service has also been used successfully through the Visual Composer. But when I try to create a model for this web service URL, when I click the Next button after entering the URL in the model creation wizard step 4 , I get "Error loading wsdl file. Check error log for details" Given below is the exception recorded in the error log: (Infact, I get this for all wsdl URLs)

Error when Creating Web Dynpro Model in CAF-Service
Hi All,
I reaaly need help. AFter updating to SPS 9, it was necessary to redeploy my Entity Service. That contains to "Create a Web Dynpro Model" in the Service Explorer,
to get an interface of the Service in my Web Dynpro Application.
Before I update to SPS 9, the Application works fine.
But now, when I want to "Create a Web Dynpro Model" in the NWDS I get the following Error-Message (its not a useful Error-Message):
<i>Error cannot create Web Dynpro Model:
Creation of Web Dynpro model failed. Reason: null </i>
Thanks for helping me
SteveHi Aliaksei,
the problem in the thread is the same I got.
When I use only 7 letters for the operation name, the creation work. When I use more then 7 letters the creation doesnt work.
But its hard to find a methodname with only 7 letters.
In SPS 8 I didnt have problems with the length of method names. Why is it so?

"Unable to create web dynpro callable object implementation" - GP error
Good day.
I've created a GP process and transported it to the test system. But when I try to start the process I get an error on the screen: Error while processing the item; it cannot be displayed. When I look to the logs I can see the following exception:

Error while creating web dynpro project from DTR
Hello,
I am getting following error while creating Web Dynpro project from DTR,
org.eclipse.jdt.core.JavaModelException: File /<track name><DC><package>/.classpath is read-only.
Still project gets created but evenif I check out view , it does not allow me to edit it.
Also I have checked in and activated some changes but active copy in DTR is not reflecting those changes.
I tried Add subtree option in DTR perspective for folders in this project. Is it result of that?
Please help me in this regard.
Thank You
BeenaHi Beena,
.classpath file should not checked in to DTR(uncheck the Read only properties). It is local file it contains class path for local system.
Generally in webdynpro project only src folder should be checked in DTR.

Steps to Create Web Dynpro iview
Hi,
i created web dynpro application using Netweaver Developer Studio.
Now i want to show that on portal.
so please let me know the steps to create web dynpro iview.
regards
mmukeshHi,
Logon to portal with administrator uid/pwd. Content Administration->Portal Content. Right Click on the folder 'Portal Content' and select 'iView'->'New'. In the Template Selection, select 'SAP Web Dynpro iView' and click 'Next'. In the 2nd step, provide iView Name and iView ID and a prefix.
Salect 'Java' in the 3rd step. n the 4th step, select the System (WAS System), give the project name of your webdynpro, like, local/ABC_Project in the WebDynproNameSpace and the Application Name. An iView will be available now.
After creating an iView, you should create a page and add the iView to it. Then create a role and add your page to it. Then assign this role to your user. Set the role property 'Entry Point' to true.
Then when you log into the portal you'll see your role in the top level navigation, click on it to see your iView.

Adaptive Webservice model for asynchronous web services
Hi ,
While tring to use adaptive Webservice model, using WSDL provided by XI, i was geting the error, <i>Cannot load NameSpaces and ModelClasses</i> . Details of the error can be found in
Error while creating Adaptive WS model(SP17) using local WSDL file
Later when the WSDL was created having other req & resp params, the model got created successfully. Now my question is :
<b>Can't an adaptive Webservice model be created for asynchronous webservices??. Should the Webservice always be synchronous in nature for creating adaptive webservice model??? </b>

Web Service Model for ABAP Web Service
Hi,
I have developed ABAP web service and called it using web service model in WD. The WS is working from WSNavigator. While calling it from WD, im getting the following exception:
Service call exception; nested exception is:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (502) Proxy Error ( No data record is available ).
Is some setting required in R/3 where WS is created or on WAS where the WDAppl is deployed?
Regards,
SmrutiHi Smruti,
Please try the following:
Go to Web Service model
Logical Port
Uncheck "Use HTTP Proxy" settings..
Also make sure the WAS has entry of R/3 in hosts files..

Web Dynpro Application throws NoClassDefFoundError for IAspect
Hi All
I decided to teach myself a little bit more about Web Dynpros and the Composite Application Framework and as such started working through SAP's tutorials. Currently I'm busy with 'Using a Composite Application via a Web Dynpro UI' - at the section where I need to programmatically populate a DropDownByKey with the location names. I followed the tutorial's instructions step for step, but after deploying and running my application I receive the following error message:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/tc/col/client/generic/api/IAspect
Sometimes IAspect is replaced by IStructure.
The detailed error provides this message:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Failed to create delegate for component com.sap.carpool.travel.Travel. (Hint: Is the corresponding DC deployed correctly? Does the DC contain the component?)
It seems as if it is struggling to find the DC containing IAspect and IStructure, but I have included
tc/col/runtime (default)
in the 'Used DCs' of my Web Dynpro DC.
Any ideas what might be causing this or how to fix it?
Thanks in advance,
JPHi Valery,
Thanks for the reply.
It seems like that to me as well. I can use the code as I've imported
com.sap.tc.col.client.generic.api.IAspect;
, but when it actually tries and load the implementation it can't find it?
Unfortunately, checking the run-time (or build or deploy time) checkboxes on tc/col/runtime did not help. -
Web DynPro Adaptive RFC proxies configuration
Hi,
When using Adaptive RFC proxies to call BAPIs in my Web DynPro application I need to go to the content management web interface (localhost:50000/webdynpro/welcome) to set them up. How can I automate this configuration for, say, quick deployment on another server ?
Thanks,
Romain GUY
Cap Gemini FranceFrom your problem description, I assume it's the JCO destinations that you want to create programatically in the SLD. This is possible. Check out the API documentation for the class WDSystemLandscape.
